Steve Bannon indicted on NYS charges: expected to turn himself in

Steve Bannon has been indicted on state charges in New York related to the federal charges he faced in 2020 over a fraud scheme. He was pardoned for those charges by then-President Trump in the federal case coming at the end of Trump's term in office, before the trial was able to conclude.

The charge against Bannon in August 2020 was for allegedly defrauding people who donated to a crowdfunding campaign to build a wall along the southern border between the US and Mexico. He was accused of stealing one million dollars from the over $25 million raised to pay an alleged co-conspirator and personal expenses totaling hundreds of thousands in expenses.

The other two co-conspirators charged in the scheme, Brian Kolfage and Andrew Badolato, pled guilty in April to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, according to the DOJ. Kolfage also pled guilty to tax and wire fraud charges filed by the US Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida. 

Democrat Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg would handle the case, as per The Washington Post. Bragg is known for having more tolerance and sympathy for felons than he has for Republicans and is a threat to the safety of New Yorkers.

The report stated that Bannon is expected to turn himself in on Thursday.

The new indictment Bannon faces comes after he was found guilty of one contempt count involving his refusal to appear for a deposition and another involving his refusal to produce documents to the January 6th House Select Committee. He is set to be sentenced in that case on Oct. 21, 2022. Each count carries a maximum of 30 days in jail and fines ranging from $100 to $100,000.

“The subpoena to Stephen Bannon was not an invitation that could be rejected or ignored,” Matthew M. Graves, U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia said. “Mr. Bannon had an obligation to appear before the House Select Committee to give testimony and provide documents. His refusal to do so was deliberate and now a jury has found that he must pay the consequences.”

Some Democrats are hoping Bannon will be given a life sentence or is hung by the neck until dead, unlike former President Obama's wingman, former US Attorney General Eric Holder who was also guilty of not appearing after being summoned by the House and got away with no charges.

Equal justice under the law has become a suggestion, not a requirement.

Krystal Ball says her former MSNBC network 'pushes conspiracy theories' for ratings

Former MSNBC host Krystal Ball slammed her former network last Thursday for pushing "conspiracy theories" regarding President Trump and Russia after the Mueller investigation ended with a fizzle and disappointed them.

Ball was the liberal host of "The Cycle" and now host of "The Hill's Rising," asked after Wednesday's testimony, "How much damage has MSNBC in particular done to the Left?"

She stressed that her critique wasn't a personal attack on her former colleagues, many of whom she still considers friends, but complained that "nearly all of [them] got swept up in the ratings bubble that was feverish Russian conspiracy theories."

"I dare to say, some talent did drink more deeply of the Russia conspiracy waters than others," she said. "Rachel Maddow, you got some explaining to do."

Ball said that the true facts about the extent of the Trump's campaign attempts to work with Russia were "damning" on their own, much like Obama's hot mic moment when he told Russia's President Medved that he would have more flexibility once the 2012 elections were over. "But it does not feel like a damning set of facts when for months MSNBC built segment after segment, show after show on building anticipation for a big reveal when we would learn the true depths of Trump's fealty and direct conspiracy with Putin," she whined.

Ball criticized MSNBC for inviting on proponents of the Russian collusion theory like Jonathan Chait and Louise Mensch, the latter of whom once "reported" that Steve Bannon would receive the death penalty for espionage. "This is not journalism, this is Infowars conspiracy," she said.

MSNBC, along with CNN and the Democratic Party, "set the bar unimaginably high," Ball argued, and as a result Trump's actual scandals seemed ordinary in comparison, as well as the fact that Trump is a known quantity and nothing outrageous he does surprises us anymore. "Now please… can we move the heck on?" she asked.

Bannon calls it quits soon he splits

Former Trump chief strategist Steve Bannon has stepped down from Breitbart News, where he had inherited his role as executive chairman of the organization after Andrew Breitbart died.

After President Trump fired him, and he ran a failed campaign for the controversial Roy Moore, he returned to Breitbart, the only job left for him to once again screw up.

His resigning (if that, indeed, was what actually happened) comes amid his caustic remarks he reportedly made about President Trump's son, Donald Jr., describing his as "unpatriotic" and "treasonous," sentiments he shared with Michael Wolff whose gossipy book, "Fire and Fury," revealed this and other statements.

After trying to walk back the Don Jr. remark by claiming he was talking about Paul Manafort, Bannon found himself on the outs with the president. This may be in part due to the fact that he really gave no honest apology to the president, and the other unsavory things he said about President Trump's daughter, Ivanka, reportedly saying that she was as dumb as a brick.

The loser in all this, of course, is Bannon. He is a guy who has no achievements other than riding the coattails of those in power and acting important to the press--in this case, to a hack whose book is filled with misinformation and sheer inaccuracies. 

The fact that Wolff used Bannon as his main source of information is a testament to his poor judgment and lack of journalistic ability. He is a pseudo-journalist. 

In his NBC interview with Katy Tur, Wolff and Tur demonstrate that the media is engaged in confirmation bias--where the person believes the information of the biases he or she already has. Wolff actually said "my evidence is the book. If it makes sense to you, if it strikes a point, if it rings true, it is true."

No! That isn't how journalism works. If it rings true doesn't make it true. Wolff is an idiot and so was Bannon to think he could leak to this idiot and gain political traction.

Bannon's decision to go public was his own undoing and criticizing Trump's policies and his family was as dumb as the brick to which he classified Ivanka's intelligence.

Bannon can forget trying to find insurgent candidates to go up against the GOP establishment in 2018. His revolution is over, especially since Rebekah Mercer, his former wealthy benefactor said she's ending her support of his political efforts.

He's now known as "Sloppy Steve" by President Trump, and the moniker fits him perfectly.

Breitbart CEO Larry Solov said that "Steve is a valued part of our legacy, and we will always be grateful for his contributions, and what he has helped us accomplish." 

But I suspect, because it "rings true," that Solov is glad to have him go.

Now irrelevant Steve Bannon 'regrets' his scummy betrayal of POTUS

Steve Bannon, the former useless political strategist for Donald Trump, apologized Sunday after the president lambasted his sorry butt for unflattering comments he is alleged to have made in the Trump White House gossip book "Fire and Fury." 

Bannon says he "regrets" his delayed response and that he continues to support the president.

How exactly has Bannon ever supported President Trump? All he's trying to do is save himself and latch onto power as he always did before.

"My support is also unwavering for the president and his agenda," he lied in a statement to Axios, later confirmed by Fox News Sunday.

In one part of the book, he calls Donald Trump Jr.  "treasonous" and "unpatriotic" based on a meeting Trump Jr. had with a Russian, a meeting that took place before Bannon was a staffer for the president, so it's impossible for Bannon to have inside information.

In his apology statement, Bannon said, "Donald Trump Jr. is both a patriot and a good man. He has been relentless in his advocacy for his father and the agenda that has helped turn our country around."

Question: So how can anyone know when Bannon is telling the truth?
Answer: He doesn't. Everything he says is for his own self-aggrandizement and the only "friend" he has left is the mainstream media. He has even alienated Breitbart News.

"I regret that my delay in responding to the inaccurate reporting regarding Don Jr. has diverted attention from the president's historical accomplishments in the first year of his presidency," Bannon said, after he removed his lips from Trump's rump.

Bannon said in the statement that the comments about the meeting were aimed at Paul Manafort, not Don Jr.

Will Bannon run with Milo in 2020?

It's no secret that Breitbart head case Steve Bannon is getting more and more frustrated with President Donald Trump. He's so frustrated that he might run for president of the United States just to stick it to him in 2020. And while he isn't saying who he'd select as a running mate, my anonymous source said he's looking at Milo Yiannopoulos. 

And it's hard to imagine anyone who'd make a better president than a chronically angry guy who called the president "an eleven-year-old child."

Vanity Fair (the magazine that groveled on their symbolic knees in a stark apology to liberals and leftists everywhere for have the audacity to make a fun video about Hillary Clinton and their recommendation she get out of politics and maybe take up knitting) wrote an extensive report about Bannon. 

The writer, Gabriel Sherman, stated that the former White House chief strategist expressed concern over Trump's longevity as president. Evidently Bannon isn't happy about the direction the administration is going and is thinking that his own direct hands-on is needed for national politics.

Nothing could be further from the truth. What Bannon knows about politics was what 18th Century barbers knew about surgery. 

It was the genius Bannon who stood behind the election of Roy Moore, if that example means anything to you.

In October, Bannon told an adviser he'd run for president if Trump doesn't run again in 2020. In private conversations since getting fired from his White House gig, Bannon said Trump only as a 30 percent chance of serving out his term, whether it be impeachment or removed by the Cabinet invoking the 25th Amendment.

Sherman reached out to White House staff for a comment and was told that Bannon has been calling to get his old job back. One staffer told him "the president's best decision was firing James Comey. His second best decision was firing Steve Bannon, bar none."

That's hard to disagree with.

The Gorkster is gone

Dr. Sebastian Gorka, President Trump's national security aide, has either resigned or was fired from his position late Friday.

In a purported resignation letter obtained by the Federalist, Gorka said the "best and most effective way" he could support President Trump "is from outside the People's House."

Which makes perfect nonsense but it sounds plausible.

White House officials told Fox News that Gorka didn't actually 'resign-resign', they just said that he "no longer works" at the White House.

A Trump adviser told Fox News that Gorka recently had a tense phone conversation with White House Chief of Staff John Kelly. Apparently, Kelly asked "The Gorkster" why he was on vacation in the middle of so many national national security events.

Gorka was asked about his leaving the White House and texted Fox News a one word response: "Liberating."

He also later told the network that Kelly "never mentioned it [his vacation] for a millisecond," which can be interpreted more than one way: a) he never once mentioned it; or b) he mentioned it far longer than a millisecond and reamed him an entirely new anal sphincter.

The Gorkster's version is that he called Kelly on Friday and told him he was resigning and wanted to come into the office on Monday to hand-deliver his resignation letter to President Trump. Kelly told him there was not need for him to come back to the White House. 

Gorka's letter expressed dissatisfaction with where the Trump administration was heading, saying that "given recent events, it is clear to me that forces that do not support the [Make America Great Again] promise are-for now-ascendant within the White House."

He added that apart from Trump, "the individuals who most embodied and represented the policies that will "Make America Great Again," have been internally countered, systematically removed, or undermined in recent months."

Gorka was depicted by the left as a controversial figure with ties to white supremacist groups. He was also buddies with Steve Bannon, Trump's chief strategist, who was fired and has since gone back to Breitbart News.

Last week, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) said that both Gorka and policy adviser Stephen Miller should be fired in the wake of a violent white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Va., in which scum crumpet leftists from Antifa, neo-Nazis and KKK had a violent encounter. Schiff also called for the Washington Redskins to change their name immediately and suggested they be called the U.S. Capitol Football Players.

Schiff is a schmuck and has a photo of Hillary Clinton with Maxine Waters above the toilet in his washroom.

UPDATE: Bannon is in!

UPDATE: It has just been reported that Bannon has returned to Breitbart News and has already headed a staff meeting.

DEVELOPING: Steve Bannon, the Trump administration's chief strategist, is gone, according to my secret source, Vinny Boombots.

The New York Times, also reported today that Trump told his aides that he has decided to remove "Steverino" but it wasn't clear if that was going to be done.

The former head of Breitbart News joined the Trump team a year ago when he was asked to join the team as chief executive of the campaign. After Trump beat "Crooked Hillary" in the presidential race, Bannon was appointed to a senior advisory role as Reince Priebus was named chief of staff.

The Drudge Report first reported of Bannon's exit, adding that he might return to Breitbart, but that's currently just speculation.

Bannon had been treated like an Ebola patient within the White House once John Kelly became chief of staff, Vinny Boombots said. He was isolated and his demise appeared a sure thing.

Earlier in the week, he gave an interview to a leftist magazine and verbally attacked some of his adversaries within the Trump administration.

President Trump was asked about Bannon's employment situation in his administration and said, "I like Mr. Bannon [calling him "Mister" was a sure kiss of death], he's a friend of mine. I like him. He's a good man. He's not a racist . . . but we'll see what happens with Mr. Bannon."

Bannon's departure has been confirmed by the White House saying that Friday will be his last day.

In a statement, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said: "White House Chief of Staff John Kelly and Steve Bannon have mutually agreed today would be Steve's last day."

The Stock Market is just fine with his departure.

Trump thinks Bannon is leaking

President Trump allegedly told close associates and possibly close relatives that he believes Steve Bannon is behind the damaging leaks about White House colleagues. This might make him the next person to.go.all.the.way.  .  . out the door.

"Trump has told associates he's fed up with what he sees as self-promotion by Bannon, who did not join the core team this week at the president's golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey," a source said who wishes not to be identified because he's leaking this information to us as I write this. 

Bannon has been making himself scarce since retired USMC General John Kelly took over and brought discipline to what was laughingly called "The Oral Office" when Bill Clinton was president.

If it is discovered that Bannon is, indeed, one of the leakers, then he should be fired and indicted if what he has leaked contained sensitive information. If he is not the leaker, then I wish him all the best that life has to offer.

Scaramucci's vulgar language makes Trump look bad

If I used even a smidgeon of the vulgarity the White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci used regarding Reince Priebus Google would shut down this blog. Even if they didn't shut me down you probably would go elsewhere to get your White House information and I wouldn't blame you.

Mooch, as he likes to be called, even made fun of Senior Adviser Steve Bannon in the same interview with Ryan Lizza, writing for the New Yorker magazine. 

In the story published on Thursday, Mooch asks Lizza to tell him who leaked the details of a dinner Trump attended and he goes on to accuse Priebus of being the leaker.

"Reince is a f***ing paranoid schizophrenic, a paranoiac," Mooch told Lizza in a Wednesday evening phone call.

"I fired one guy the other day. I have three or four people I'll fire tomorrow," Mooch said. "I'll get to the person who leaked that to you. Reince Priebus--if you want to leak something--he'll be asked to resign very shortly."

He went on, doing an impersonation of Priebus: "Let me leak the f***ing thihng and see if I can c**k block these people the way I c**k blocked Scaramucci for six months."

Mooch said that unlike Bannon, he's not interested in inflating his profile to the media.

"I'm not Steve Bannon; I'm not trying to suck my own c**k," he said. "I'm not trying to build my own brand off the f***ing strength of the president. I'm here to serve the country."

At least he didn't say he was here to serve the 'f***ing country'.

He accused Priebus of leaking his financial disclosure to the media calling it a 'felony,' but the information was public record, so he was wrong.

"I've called the FBI and the Department of Justice," he said.

"What I want to do is I want to f***ing kill all the leakers and I want to get the president's agenda on track so we can succeed for the American people," he said, and told Lizza that he believed Priebus would resign soon.

Mooch ended the call with Lizza, telling him he needed to "start tweeting some s**t to make this guy crazy."

Interestingly, Scaramucci didn't deny any of the comments he made. "I sometimes use colorful language," he said. "I will refrain in this arena but not give up the passionate fight for @realDonaldTrump's agenda."

Then later on Thursday, Mooch made it sound like it was all Lizza's fault stating that he "made a mistake in trusting in a reporter. It won't happen again."

But whether the reporter was told that it was "off the record" or not, Scaramucci still displayed the unprofessional vulgarity and even homophobia the LBGTQ would say, that should render him wrong for this job.

We all remember what Trump said a few years ago about grabbing women by their genitalia. This echoes the same negativity and likely problems Trump will have in the future. 

Lizza spoke on the Crappy News Network (CNN) saying, "It's not a matter of trust, it's a matter of we as journalists trying to explain who these people are to the American people and when you do an on the record interview with someone, its standard operating procedure that the interview gets reported."

And you really can't disagree with that. Imagine if you, as a journalist, was privy to Sacarmucci's private rants, with all of its anger and vulgarity. If you didn't report it, you'd be guilty of journalistic malpractice.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders defended Scaramucci saying that he gets passionate about his job. 

"This is a guy who sometimes uses colorful--and in many circles, probably not appropriate--language. And he's very passionate about the president, the president's agenda and I think he may have let that get the best of him in that conversation," she said.

That wasn't 'colorful' language, it was highly vulgar and totally inappropriate and cannot be justified, in spite of Sanders' intelligent handling of it.

One White House official leaked concern to Fox News saying, "This is getting out of hand. I am honestly getting concerned for my safety in the office tomorrow. This type of behavior is unbelievable. Working in the White House and something like that is said, it is a disgrace."

Sadly, I agree with the leaker.

Where's Waldo and Steve Bannon?

Where in Sam Hill is Steve Bannon? He seems to have disappeared from the political scene.

The guy who was once called "The Great Manipulator" and is Trump's senior adviser, has pulled back, probably to save his job. 

Bannon wasn't around on Trump's trips to Europe for the G20 summit and absent from the visit of French President Emmanuel Macron. This is truly a bellwether as Bannon has a strong interest in European politics and antipathy to the EU.

He hasn't been around for the White House's very sensitive policy debates and some even say they've heard Steve weeping quietly in one of the White House bathroom stalls.

Bannon has been humbled by President Trump's growing suspicion that he's looking out only for himself, and is in a self-imposed exile, away from the administration's inner circle to save his bacon, according to several White House invisible advisers.

Regarding Trump's Warsaw speech that called for the defense of Western civilization and echoed Bannon's very own ideology, it turns out Bannon didn't write a single word of it, nor did he participate in the administration's conference calls to strategize the speech. In fact, the speech was mostly written by chief speechwriter Stephen Miller, national security adviser H.R. McMaster and speechwriters Vince Haley and Ross Worthington.

"His name wasn't even mentioned," came the voice of a senior White House anonymous official through a black curtain that hid his identity.

According to another anonymous White House aide, Bannon now spends hours camped out at the conference table, reading the news or working on his phone.

Perhaps he's checking Twitter for the latest on POTUS's thoughts.

The truth is, Bannon enjoys working in the shadows, but I believe his Trump administration days are numbered. I give him six months.

BREAKING: Sean Spicer resigns as WH Press Secretary

DEVELOPING: It has been confirmed that Sean Spicer has resigned as White House Press Secretary. This comes on the heels of President Trump saying that he wants Anthony Scaramucci as his communications director.

Spicer, it was reported, did not like the appointment of Scaramucci and this was the reason he has stepped down. The communications director reports only to the president, not to the Press Secretary.

There is no official word as to what Sarah Huckabee Sanders' role will be in the future.

Apparently, there was a lot of pushback by Reince Priebus and Steve Bannon against the hiring of Scaramucci, but it's now a 'done deal' and Spicer is gone.

There is yet to be official word from the White House, but several major media sources have confirmed Spicer's resignation and Scaramucci's appointment.

This is a developing story, so stay tuned.

UPDATE: Sarah Huckabee Sanders will be the White House Press Secretary. The announcement came from Anthony Scaramucci during a question-answer session.

Chelsea "upset" with Bannon for "fat shaming' Spicer

Howdy Doody lookalike Chelsea Clinton was upset with Steve Bannon for making fun of Sean Spicer's weight.

Rosie Gray of The Atlantic wrote that Chelsea is upset that Bannon said the reason why White House briefings were currently being held off camera is because "Sean [Spicer] got fatter."

And this was said by a rather corpulent Bannon, so perhaps it was just tongue-in-cheek, unless he doesn't own a mirror.

But really, I suspect Bannon was just breaking Spicer's chops with playful banter and giving us, the American people, a laugh-out-loud moment in a world where laughing is met by hearty "Allahu Akbars" and blood.

So of course, Chelsea Clinton had to get into the act. She couldn't deal with the fact that America couldn't give a rat's keister about her and she just had to step onto Bannon's comedic moment to show us all just how woke she is.

The fact that Ms. Doody has to go after two guys busting each other's chops and having fun is sad, but sad in the way that Hillary Clinton is sad for us to watch as she tries to be relevant.


But not sad for me--I'm glad Chelsea's momma is irrelevant.

Hopefully, Sean Spicer will be able to get through the Bannon ridicule and joshing and will not develop bulimia or anorexia. 

But Chelsea continued: 

"Oh ok. So using fat shaming to avoid answering questions about increasing opacity. Got it. 2017."

She's so on point, so brilliant with her remarks and verbal demonstrations. So 1990s.

Chelsea deftly responded to a tweet about how calculated she is:

"Hi Jim! Just me as I was standing in line @Starbucks earlier. Fat shaming isn't a joke I find funny. Ever."

Hillary must've gotten on her case for something she said about her pantsuit look.

Funny how liberals always take the moral superiority route, even when they're killing the unborn.

CNN may opt out of WH Correspondent's Dinner

CNN may be preempting Trump's decision to not invite them to the White House Correspondent's Dinner by announcing that they will be sitting out the dinner. In this way, they can show their ire and avoid being embarrassed by President Trump before he shows his ire toward them.

So nyah, nyah, nyah President Trump, take that!

The annual event is scheduled for April 29th and according to several sources familiar with what's going on, CNN is still actively discussing whether they will ultimately send staffers or snub the POTUS.

"We haven't made a decision on it yet," said a CNN spokesperson who wishes to remain anonymous because it really pisses off Trump when people remain anonymous, except when it's people he refers to anonymously.

In the past, the dinner was a scene in which presidents roast the press after top-shelf comedians take digs at the big-shots in the room.

When Obama was president, the 'shots' were generally cutesy remarks about him, or when Obama publicly humiliated now President Trump with a blistering attack.

Here is the actual transcript of Obama's remarks as Mr. Trump had to sit in the audience and take it from the bully pulpit:

"Now, I know that he's taken some flak lately, but no one in happier, no one is prouder to put this birth certificate to rest than the Donald. (Laughter.) And that's because he can finally get back to focusing on the issues that matter--like, did we fake the moon landing? (Laughter.) What really happened in Roswell? (Laughter.) And where are Biggie and Tupac? (Laughter and applause.)

"But all kidding aside, obviously, we all know about your credentials and breadth of experience. (Laughter.) For example--no, seriously, just recently, in an episode of Celebrity Apprentice--(laughter)--at the steakhouse, the men's cooking team did not impress the judges from Omaha Steaks. And there was a lot of blame to go around. But you, Mr. Trump, recognized that the real problem was a lack of leadership. And so ultimately, you didn't blame Lil' Jon or Meatloaf. (Laughter.) You fired Gary Busey. (Laughter.) And these are the kind of decisions that would keep me up at night. (Laughter and applause.) Well handled, sir. (Laughter.) Well handled."

 The White House Correspondent's Dinner has often been criticized as a 'too cozy' relationship between the press and government. But with the current aggressive ongoing battle President Trump is having with the press, some are wondering whether fist-bumping camaraderie is especially inappropriate at this time. President Trump's deleted (then reposted) tweet calling the press an "enemy of the American people" was a blistering attack and escalation of their battle.

At CPAC, top White House adviser Steve Bannon referred to the media as the "opposition party," and when it comes to how the media treats the GOP, he's correct. I've yet to hear anyone in the MSM ask Trump "What enchants you about the job?"

It seems that CNN has been particularly targeted by the Trump administration, so it stands to reason that they might avoid attending the WH Correspondent's Dinner. 

Ironically perhaps, it isn't even certain whether President Trump is going to attend.
