Tulsi rips Mittens a new one during hearing

Now that the House majority belongs to the GOP, they have a little clout and opened the select committee hearing on the weaponization of the DoJ and FBI.

Former Democrat Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard was one of the witnesses for the hearing, and minced no words about the corruption she has observed between Big Tech and the federal government and how they targeted her personally.

She recounted how she was once approached by a woman during the 2020 presidential campaign and was asked by he whether she was working for Vladimir Putin. Evidently, the woman got the misinformation from the words of Hillary Clinton who accused Gabbard of being "groomed by Putin.”

Now we have Sen. Mitt Romney [RINO] spouting nearly the same accusation, claiming that she was spreading “treasonous lies” in response to some of her commentary on the conflict in Ukraine.

Treason is punishable by death. Tulsi Gabbard is an officer in the US military, risking her life for the country while Mittens has never served in the military a day in his life.

During the hearing, Gabbard was given an official platform to respond, and she ripped Romney a new one.You really ought to consider checking out the tweet below for a part of her statement about Romney:

These were her words:
"More recently, US senator Mitt Romney accused me of treason, a crime that is punishable by death under our laws. I challenged him to back this serious allegation up with evidence. What was this based on? There was no response, no explanation, no evidence, and certainly no apology.

"Now, these accusations are often shrugged off as “well hey, it’s politics, people say things about each other all the time.” But that may be easy for some of you to say, but for somebody who wears the uniform, this is serious, and it’s serious not only to me but to my fellow servicemembers and veterans, every one of us making a decision at some point in our lives to raise our right hand, prepared and volunteering to lay our life down for this country.

"What does that mean in reality? It means that before every deployment, we have to make peace in our own hearts with the possibility that we may not come home. It means writing letters to our loved ones, trying to find the words (end of clip)."
To speak of those of us who have served in the military and some who are currently serving, as Tulsi Gabbard is, Romney's words define him as a shitbird. [Marines know what I mean.] Calling someone a traitor because they don't agree with a foreign war that does not directly involve the USA, is disgusting, defamatory, and ridiculous.

Tulsi Gabbard put her money where her mouth is; Mitt Romney never did.

Romney should be impeached. Period. And I don't give a damn what party he is or what party she is. He is an execrable scumbag.

Steve Bannon indicted on NYS charges: expected to turn himself in

Steve Bannon has been indicted on state charges in New York related to the federal charges he faced in 2020 over a fraud scheme. He was pardoned for those charges by then-President Trump in the federal case coming at the end of Trump's term in office, before the trial was able to conclude.

The charge against Bannon in August 2020 was for allegedly defrauding people who donated to a crowdfunding campaign to build a wall along the southern border between the US and Mexico. He was accused of stealing one million dollars from the over $25 million raised to pay an alleged co-conspirator and personal expenses totaling hundreds of thousands in expenses.

The other two co-conspirators charged in the scheme, Brian Kolfage and Andrew Badolato, pled guilty in April to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, according to the DOJ. Kolfage also pled guilty to tax and wire fraud charges filed by the US Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida.

Democrat Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg would handle the case, as per The Washington Post. Bragg is known for having more tolerance and sympathy for felons than he has for Republicans and is a threat to the safety of New Yorkers.

The report stated that Bannon is expected to turn himself in on Thursday.

The new indictment Bannon faces comes after he was found guilty of one contempt count involving his refusal to appear for a deposition and another involving his refusal to produce documents to the January 6th House Select Committee. He is set to be sentenced in that case on Oct. 21, 2022. Each count carries a maximum of 30 days in jail and fines ranging from $100 to $100,000.

“The subpoena to Stephen Bannon was not an invitation that could be rejected or ignored,” Matthew M. Graves, U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia said. “Mr. Bannon had an obligation to appear before the House Select Committee to give testimony and provide documents. His refusal to do so was deliberate and now a jury has found that he must pay the consequences.”

Some Democrats are hoping Bannon will be given a life sentence or is hung by the neck until dead, unlike former President Obama's wingman, former US Attorney General Eric Holder who was also guilty of not appearing after being summoned by the House and got away with no charges.

“The tenets of our government rely upon citizens adhering to the established rules of law. Lawful tools, such as subpoenas and other legal orders, are critical in our system of government,” said Steven M. D’Antuono, Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI Washington Field Office. [Like Eric Holder] “Mr. Bannon was found guilty of contempt by a jury of his peers for his choice to ignore a lawful subpoena. The FBI will continue our sworn duty to investigate those who have committed violations of our laws and hold them accountable for their actions.”

Equal justice under the law has become a suggestion, not a requirement.

Benghazi and the House Select Committee: they're shaking in their boots

The House Select Committee investigating Benghazi will be led by Trey Gowdy (R-SC).  Gowdy says that he has witnesses who are willing to come forward and testify about a cover-up.

The military, After Action Report will be subpoenaed along with the power to obtain un-redacted emails. The Presidential Daily Briefings will also be requested, and Gowdy is clear that he wants to see all relevant material and he will judge the relevancy with his own eyes.

There is no known date as to when the findings will be completed but a resolution date will be named soon.

While Adam Schiff (D-CA) wants to boycott the committee hearing, I believe he, like the Democratic party, is part of the problem. What happened in Benghazi transcends politics. Some in the GOP seem to understand that. But the liberals want to continue to protect this administration and to do so, it is at the expense of the nation.

House Majority Leader, Eric Cantor (R-VA) spoke on Greta Susteren's On the Record and says that he is optimistic about the outcome of the investigation, although he cannot predict how long it will last.

John McCain (R-AZ) is adamant about  wanting to know president Obama's whereabouts the night of September 11, 2012. He also believes that Jay Carney has destroyed his reputation as a journalist with his misrepresentation of the facts around Benghazi.

The one thing I know is true, the military doesn't wait to see if things are safe before attempting to rescue fellow Americans in harm's way. They move toward the sounds of gunfire. And nobody knew how long the assault was going to last, so there is no excuse to stand down. Leon Panetta is a fool if he believes anyone who ever wore a military uniform takes that seriously.

But knowing the attackers used mortars and heavy weapons proves they were not attacking spontaneously, was so obvious that even Obama forgot about what he said back in 2012, when he spoke about Russia and Ukraine. He agreed that an attack with such weaponry could not have come from a spontaneous attack.

The problem with lying is, you need a good memory. And I remember what Hillary said.

A New York reporter, is captured by Islamist terrorists who demand the release of three Gitmo prisoners in exchange for him. If the president refuses their demands, they plan to behead the reporter and videotape it for the Internet. But the United States doesn’t give in to terrorist’s demands and he has 24 hours before he is to be executed.
The clock is ticking . . .

Benghazi: Bumps in the Road

Now that John Boehner (R-OH) has finally caved to GOP pressure and decided to have a House Select Committee investigate what really happened at Benghazi on September 11, 2012, the press is finally asking questions to Jay "Con" Carney. Of course, Carney is answering those questions the way he does (when Fox News asks them) by avoiding an answer or lying through an arrogant smirk.

It appears the Democrats are afraid to defend Obama et al, and some have even suggested boycotting the committee, like they often boycott things such as the truth.

To boycott the committee would be "terribly arrogant" and "wrong," said Rep. Peter King (R-NY).

But Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) thinks boycotting the committee would be a way to remove all credibility and discredit the investigation, thereby relegating it to a witch hunt. He believes a committee investigation would be a "colossal waste of time," just like he might have thought sending help to the four Americans fighting for their lives would have also been a colossal waste of time.

It seems perplexing that even Democrats, for however unpatriotic, uncaring and uninformed they are, seem totally uninterested in getting to the truth about Benghazi. You would think that they would have at least some doubts about the video, and why no help was sent to the compound when it was under attack.

But let's face it, the truth is hardly more than an afterthought with liberals.

Some of the questions the committee should get answered are:

1. Where did Susan Rice get the idea to blame the video? Was she told directly or was it merely the e-mail from Ben Rhodes?

2. Several days later Hillary Clinton blamed the video, and later still told the families of the dead that the person who made the video will be punished. From whom did she get the talking point of the video?

3. What is the timeline for Obama from the moment the attack started to the next day?

4. Where did Ben Rhodes get the talking points?

5. Why was the "smoking gun" e-mail redacted the first time it was produced but not so when it was demanded via court order? What were they trying to hide?

6. Why did President Obama say it was clear that the attack on Ukrainian forces was obviously not spontaneous, based on the weaponry and militia-like precision used by the militants, but it wasn't obvious  that the Benghazi attack, which also used sophisticated weaponry and militia-like precision, was not spontaneous?

7. If the attack had occurred during a presidential visit to the Benghazi compound, what efforts would have been made by the military to save Obama's life? Why was it different for the 4 men who died there?

There are more questions that need to be asked; these are but a few that come to mind. If you have questions of your own that you'd like to express, please feel free to comment.

In my latest novel, a New York reporter is taken hostage by terrorists. If POTUS refuses to release 3 Gitmo jihadists, the reporter will die in 24 hours—they will behead him and show it on the Internet. There is only one way out but the clock is ticking . . .
