Another illegal alien truck driver allegedly kills Indiana man: taken into custody

Another day, another preventable tragedy on America's roads courtesy of the open-border disaster that's been raging since the Biden-Harris era kicked off, and yes, folks, this one hits close to home in the heartland yet again.

A truck driver was arrested Wednesday after allegedly blowing through a red light and causing a fatal crash in Hendricks County, Indiana, just west of Indianapolis. And surprise, surprise: multiple federal law enforcement sources confirmed that the suspect is an illegal alien from Punjab, India.

Meet Singh Sukhdeep [pronounced 'Suck-Deep'], yet another Sikh who came here illegally and was given the gift of a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) in spite of not knowing much English.

He first got nabbed crossing the U.S. border illegally back in 2018 . . .  as a minor. Thanks to the infamous 1997 Flores consent decree (you know, the Clinton-era gift that keeps on giving), he was promptly released into the interior instead of being detained. Fast-forward to May 2025, and SIngh somehow scores a commercial driver's license. Now he's accused of killing an innocent American.

The crash is straight out of a nightmare. Eyewitnesses told WXIN (that's Fox affiliate KXIN) that Sukhdeep's Freightliner semi-truck, hauling a trailer, barreled through the red light, smashed into a Chevrolet pickup truck, sent it flying across the median, and then it collided with yet another vehicle. The driver of that Chevy pickup, 64-year-old Terry Schultz, was pronounced dead at the scene. A witness at the scene gave him comfort before he passed.

Sukhdeep is now in ICE custody, where he probably should have been years ago. DHS spoke to Fox News: "This tragedy comes less than two weeks after another illegal alien driving a semi-truck killed four innocent people in Indiana. It is incredibly dangerous for illegal aliens, who often don’t know our traffic laws or even English, to be operating semi-trucks on America's roads. These tragedies are 100% preventable and we pray for the family and victim."

So red lights don't mean stop in India? I don't think so--I was there last week and while the driving is on the verge of lunacy, a red light still means 'stop'.

DHS went on to explain the Flores mess: It stemmed from the 1993 Supreme Court case Reno v. Flores, where civil liberties and immigrant rights groups filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of illegal alien children detained in Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) custody. (INS later became USCIS, for those keeping score.)

The decree basically mandated that kids who crossed illegally had to be released to a parent or adult relative rather than held. The Trump administration tried to kill this outdated policy in 2019, the year after Sukhdeep crashed the scene, but here we are.

And let's not pretend this is isolated. This horror show unfolded just two weeks after another illegal alien truck driver, Bekzhan Beishekeev from Kazakhstan, allegedly killed four people in yet another Indiana crash. That guy entered via the Biden-era CBP One app in 2023, got released, and later picked up a CDL in Pennsylvania.

Then there's last August's case: Indian illegal alien Harjinder Singh, who got his CDL in California, allegedly made an illegal U-turn, jackknifed his rig, and killed three people. He got slapped with three counts of vehicular homicide. The DOT later revealed the guy bombed an English Language Proficiency test, nailing just 2 of 12 verbal questions and identifying only one out of four highway signs correctly.

So who's passing these guys and why isn't that person being investigated?

These aren't one-offs. They're patterns. They're policy failures with body counts. And every time another family buries a loved one because someone who shouldn't even be here is behind the wheel of an 80,000-pound death machine, the same tired excuses get trotted out.

Enough is enough. Secure the border, enforce the laws, and stop letting these preventable nightmares keep happening on American soil. Pray for Terry Schultz's family, and for the day when common-sense immigration enforcement actually becomes the norm again.

Jasmine Crockett says "Fk you" to SCOTUS over Texas redistricting decision

Crockett's rendition of "Thriller"

Fresh off getting redistricted out of her own House seat, Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D) is throwing a full-on toddler-tantrum, complete with profanity aimed straight at the Supreme Court, for daring to allow Texas keep its new congressional maps that could net Republicans up to five extra House seats in 2026.

In a rambling YouTube video posted Sunday, Crockett unloaded on what she calls Republican efforts to "rig the system" through redistricting, all while conveniently ignoring her own party's aggressive counter-moves. After all, it isn't as if the Democrats have perfected this move--oh wait--they did.

"Obviously, Trump is still doing his bidding with these state Houses and state Senates and governor's mansions to try to rig the system," potty-mouth Crockett said. "Kudos to Indiana for saying f**k you. Kudos to California for saying we're going to fight back."

How edgy for her to drop the "F Bomb." It's the latest Democrat ploy.

But Crockett didn't stop there, praising a dissenting lower-court opinion before turning her fire on the nation's highest court: "Definitely kudos to the Trump justice who wrote the 160-page opinion denouncing what took place in Texas and f**k you to the Supreme Court for what they did as well as, you know, we'll see what happens in some other places."

Classic. The Supreme Court sided with Texas Republicans in December, allowing Gov. Greg Abbott's redrawn maps to stand for the midterms, a map expected to flip as many as five seats to the GOP column. And yes, those new lines effectively booted Crockett from her current district, which just so happened to coincide with her sudden announcement of a Senate bid days later.

Meanwhile, Democrats aren't exactly playing defense. California Gov. Gavin Newsom rammed through a ballot initiative in November creating five new Dem-leaning districts to offset Texas. And in December, Indiana's GOP-led Senate shot down a proposal for two additional Republican seats—handing Crockett her "kudos" moment.

But Crockett wasn't done. She used the rant to push her pet cause: "reforming" the Supreme Court, drawing on her time with the 2024 Court Reform Now Task Force—think term limits and packing the bench.

"I just feel like there are certain spots on the Supreme Court that were illegitimately gotten for sure," Crockett said. "So, I think if we're going to shore up our democracy, we have to first start by shoring up the checks and balances. And so, that starts with the Supreme Court."

Nothing says "shoring up democracy" like cursing out the justices and demanding to overhaul the court because it won't rubber-stamp your agenda. Stay classy, Rep. Crockett.

Indiana person charged with a felony for threatening to kill GOP Rep. Jim Banks, his daughters

Guess the anti-gun woke Democrat

A Fort Wayne, Indiana person, whose self-identified gender was not revealed, faces a felony charge for ongoing threats he made to Indiana Republican Rep. Jim Banks and his three daughters. In one message this person tells Banks that he must choose between his own life or the lives of his daughters.

The person, who has a beard but still might think he's a she, is 34-years-stupid. He [I'm going out on a limb here] reportedly called the congressman's office at least eight times in April and left threatening messages, as per the Indiana Capitol Chronicle.

The woke Democrat admitted to making the calls when interviewed by the US Capitol Police, but claimed that he was intoxicated and because he disagreed with Banks' Republican political positions.

And here you thought he was wrong for making the threats, right?

In one call, the idiot allegedly said he owns a gun and gave Rep. Banks a choice between his life or those of his three young daughters.

"Here's the choice," the Democrat began. "Your daughters grow up without their dad, or you grow old without your daughters," he allegedly said. "… boom, boom you pick..."

The woke progressive also allegedly said he hoped Banks died in a car crash or "(got) his brains blown out" in the messages, according to the report.

"The safety of my family is my top priority," Banks told Fox News Digital in a statement. "I've been instructed to refer all questions about the ongoing criminal investigation to the Allen County Prosecutor's Office."

Authorities arrested the leftist schmuck on Friday. He now faces intimidation and harassment charges.

According to the Indiana Capitol Chronicle, intimidation is a Level 6 felony in Indiana, while intimidation is a Class B misdemeanor.

Another RINO gets an override: Utah Gov. Cox's veto of transgender sports ban

It's time to kick the bums out. No, I'm not talking about Biden and his fellow idiot second-in-command. I'm talking about RINOs [aka Republicans In Name Only] and in this case it's Utah Governor Spencer Cox.

Cox vetoed a bill that would ban men from competing in sports against women--let's call it the "Don't Say 'Slow Down Dude, You're Killing the Competition'" bill. The Utah legislature voted on Friday to override Cox's veto of the bill because he believes men who call themselves women, whether they believe it or not, should be allowed to compete against women, whose genital gear and chromosomes proves their claim to womanhood.

The override vote was 56 -18, a supermajority in the Republican-controlled House. Then the Senate clinched the override of the veto by a 21-8 vote. Cox, a sucker for the Democrats, looked like a fool.

In an attempt to cover his RINO butt, Cox issued a statement regarding his veto of H.B. 11, titled Student Eligibility in Interscholastic Activities. He said that while "politically, it would be much easier and better for me to simply sign the bill," he vetoed it because he "tried to do what I feel is the right thing regardless of the consequences."

So Cox took the side of the woke at the expense of women who train hard to compete but lack the physiological advantages men have over them. Women have been losing scholarships to these narcissistic men like Lia Thomas, a guy who by changing his name and keeping his twigs and berries, is able to compete against women in swimming competitions. As a male swimmer, Thomas is mediocre, but as a fake female, he dominates the pool and has to intentionally lose races to show he's just another woman swimming against his peers.

Four GOP lawmakers from each legislative body changed their initial votes in opposition to the measure in order to support the override, according to Utah's Deseret News.

Spencer Cox

At least one GOP lawmaker in the House who voted against the measure, state Rep. Mike Winder, did not change his stance. He chose not to vote to override Cox's veto and hopefully he will be voted out of office and replaced with a conservative.

State Rep. Kera Birkeland, the bill’s Republican sponsor and an actual woman, said the bill is "purely" about "preserving women’s sports" and cautioned that when "we don’t act, and we just go with the status quo, we just do more harm to both transgender youth and women athletes."

The Utah Jazz, an NBA Communist China supporting team, released a statement following the legislature's override.

"The Utah Jazz oppose discriminatory legislation. We are committed to our values of inclusivity, mutual respect and fair play," the statement said. "Beyond basketball, we hope for an equitable solution that shows love and compassion for all our youth."

I'd like to see more NBA players declare themselves women and play in the WNBA and see how that works out. In fact, there is an instance of a man fighting against women in Mixed Martial Arts and caused life-changing injuries to at least one woman.

That's what "inclusion" gets you.

Here we have average male competitors who, as fake females dominate in sports. The only exception might be in sports like shooting and archery.

Some states beside Utah have already introduced measures to bar gender dysphoric men students from competing against women in school sports.

Indiana Republican Gov. Eric Holcomb also vetoed a bill that would have banned men with XY chromosomes and penises from competing against women with XX chromosomes and uteruses.

It's time to vote these people out of office and replace them with Republicans who actually follow the science, and also refuse to allow the killing of babies.

Make believe tough guy claims Mayor Pete has "Best shot" to oust "Piece of sh** Trump" in 2020

In spite of the fact that black people don't support him because he's gay and is married to a dude; in spite of the fact that his claim to fame is that he's mayor of a relatively small town and only received 11 thousand votes; in spite of the fact that many in his hometown think he's doing a crappy job; and in spite of the fact that he pretends to be a moderate but spouts far left policy ideas, the actor Robert De Niro believes Pete Buttigieg has the "best shot" at beating that "piece of s*** Trump" in the next election.

And De Niro should know because he's an actor and he watches CNN and stuff.

The make believe tough guy spoke with The Daily Beast and said that Buttigieg has “all the credentials” to beat that “piece of s***” Trump in November 2020. The credentials, in total, are mentioned above, but the fact that he served in the military was left out as well as his ability to speak a few languages and convince people that he isn't a flaming socialist, which he apparently is, as well as the idea that he believes that he is a spokesman for all of Christianity, which he is not.

“Buttigieg I like a lot,” De Niro said, using tough guy grammar, with a grimace, a shoulder roll and a pull at his groin. “He’s got all the credentials – Rhodes Scholar, Afghanistan veteran – even though he’s young, and if he could get a chance it could be something special, I think.”

De Niro added that Buttigieg’s LGBTQ+1.5LSMFT identity will most likely bolster minority support for him, but De Niro is oblivious to the reality that black voters and serious Christians do not support him.

“As a gay person, he’s someone who comes from a marginalized community, so people from other ethnic groups can identify with him, even if they’re not gay, because they know what it’s like,” De Niro said.

Sure, the gays and transvestites are marginalized and victimized in this country now that they have been given the rights to sue people who refuse to go against their religious beliefs to cater to their weddings, or take children away from parents who refuse to go along with their child's belief that he or she is not the gender to which they were born.

The former “Taxi Driver” actor made his ridiculous statement despite the fact that Mayor Pete is polling at 0% among black voters in the key state of South Carolina where the black vote generally determines the primary in the state.

“I think he’s the best for what we need now. I have friends who really like him a lot, as I do,” De Niro continued, showing a photo of Mayor Pete that he removed from his wallet. “With Obama, he had the middle name ‘Hussein’ and a lot of things that people tried to use against him – including Trump with the whole stupid ‘birther’ thing – and he went right through it. It could happen with Buttigieg. And there’s Bloomberg.”

De Niro dismissed both Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Bernie Sanders (I-VT) as being “too extreme,” while admitting that he'd still like to "punch Trump in his f***ing face."

Last week, Buttigieg's campaign got caught with their proverbial pants down after reports bubbled up from the bathwater about the horrible rollout of his proposed "Douglass Plan" for "black America." The plan not only claimed fake endorsements from prominent black leaders in the community, but the woman in the featured photo that advertised the plan was from Kenya.
To make matters worse, his motivation for the Douglass Plan rollout likely stems from Buttigieg's insidously shrinking support in the black community due to his firing of South Bend’s first black police chief, and his poor handling of race relations as mayor of the city.

So the genius make believe tough guy, Robert De Niro, seems to know as much about political punditry as Alexandria Obviously-Comatose knows about economics.

Shermichael Singleton at The Hill wrote:
“All the fundraising in the world cannot save the young politician from Indiana, and doing well in a state that more closely resembles Norway than the rest of the United States does not help his case. His trouble with black voters runs deep, and there are two issues that make it clear why an overwhelming majority of them will not support his bid for president.
“Attempting to deceive black voters like he did in South Carolina is an intellectual insult to African Americans and marks another reason why black voters will likely remain apprehensive of Buttigieg. For many black voters, the calculation is simple. If Buttigieg is poorly equipped to deal with matters of race in a place as small as South Bend, then he certainly is not capable of dealing with them across the entire United States.”
Can I get an 'Amen'?

Dem. Rep. trying to get cocaine impersonates cops, threatens them when busted

Democratic state representative Dan Forestal of Indiana wanted to get himself a little "nasal nosh," so he pretended to be a cop and asked where he could get the coke. When he was arrested, he threatened to use his family connections to "have" the badges of the real cops, according to a police report.

The Marion County prosecutor's office charged Forestal with driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest, and impersonating a public servant, which is a felony, the IndyStar reports.

Forestal is a public servant like Stacey Abrams is governor of Georgia.

Forestal was driving drunk when he came upon a couple who called 911. They told police he claimed to be a "legit officer" looking for drugs.

"I'm a legit officer doing a drug bust," Forestal told them, as recorded in the police report. "Today is the last day before the feds descend and start kicking in doors," he slurred.

At about 11:45 p.m. Saturday, the cops stopped him but he resisted arrest and then refused a sobriety test. He threatened to "have" the officers' badges and when that didn't work, he tried to appeal to his status as a state representative, a firefighter and the nephew of the Marion County sheriff, Kerry Forestal. That didn't work either.

As the IndyStar reported, Forestal's family is well established in Indiana politics beyond the county sheriff, and Forestal, the perp, serves on the Democrats' leadership team as the assistant Democratic Caucus chairman. In his mind, he should be above the law, but those damn Indiana cops just don't understand.

Indiana Dem leaders had no comment to the press. What could they say anyway, that Dan is just being Dan?

Police reported Forestal resisted arrest while showing signs of drunkenness and threatening to sue because they were "violating his civil rights":

According to the police report, Forestal initially raised his hands but dropped them to his waist as the officer moved closer to the car. Forestal would not raise his hands as the officer commanded him to, possibly because he was too drunk to locate them.

The cops then opened Forestal's driver door and tried to extract him from the vehicle, but he held onto the steering wheel like a kid who didn't want to go to school.

"After a brief struggle, (two officers) were able to gain control of Mr. Forestal, place him on his stomach and place him in handcuffs," the police report said.

After being handcuffed, Forestal threatened to sue the officers for violating his civil rights, which, of course, they were not doing. In fact, they were protecting the rights of other drivers to not be injured or killed by this moron, and they were upholding the law upon hearing Forestal's claim of being a "legit officer."

Prior to his arrest, Forestal was drinking at a local bar, and according to those who spoke to police, he acted like a dickwad and harassed fellow patrons and asked about where he could get "party favors," such as cocaine.

Buttigieg's police may quit the South Bend force

"What, me worry?"
Indiana -- South Bend Mayor and 2020 Democratic candidate Pete Buttigieg, who frequently uses the Lord's name in vain and is married to a dude, may have raised a lot of money for his campaign, but all that's being raised in his hometown is hell, and not in a fun way.

It's over an officer-involved shooting by a white cop, Ryan O'Neill, and a black victim, Eric Logan, and it doesn't look like it's going to soon be assuaged.

Buttigieg is being loudly criticized from both protestors and his police department. The police say his handling has crushed morale and risks a “mass exodus” from the force.

“Morale around here has been terrible. We do nothing,”  a 20-year veteran of the force, told Fox News. “We call ourselves firemen, we sit around in parking lots until we’re called and then we go to the call, because if you say or do something wrong, then you get hung.” Of course, they are police officers, not firemen.

“At an all-time low,” another officer said of morale. “It’s been really demoralizing and hard to come to work lately.”

Officers requested not to be identified for this story in fear of retaliation by the mayor's administration and possibly MSNBC. But they told Fox News that they know of multiple officers who are considering handing in their badges or taking retirement if eligible, in response to the mayor’s handling of the shooting.

They say that, but will they really do it?

“That's the big discussion ... is who's staying and who's going. I think you’re going to see a mass exodus, our administration is a joke,” one cop said, referring especially to Buttigieg, who looks remarkably like famed cartoon figure for Mad Magazine, Alfred E. Neuman [see photo above].

South Bend Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) President Harvey Mills told Fox News that he has spoken to five or six officers who are “seriously” considering retiring or resigning because of the administration’s handling of the shooting. One officer told Fox News that he believes as many as 10 people will quit in the next year, and said he has also considered stepping away.

“It’s very discouraging that something I’ve always wanted to do, that God called me to do, that I’m questioning that and wondering, thinking about not being a police officer strictly because of politics and things that are going on that are completely out of my control,” he said.

Buttigieg has long had a strained relationship with the officers in South Bend, but that relationship has deteriorated considerably since the shooting of Logan.

According to investigators, O’Neill was called to a report of someone breaking into cars and encountered Logan O’Neill, who was allegedly carrying a knife. According to authorities, O'Neill shot Logan after he approached him with the knife and ignored repeated demands to drop it, the South Bend Tribune reported.

But O’Neill’s body camera was not on to confirm his account, and skeptics of the department's account have blasted city officials, fueling a firestorm that repeatedly has pulled Buttigieg off the trail to deal with the crisis back home. The reason his body cam was off may have been due to the swiftness O'Neill had to use in thwarting a knife attack, but that has not been determined as yet.

O’Neill resigned last week, with the FOP saying in a statement that “job related stress, the lawsuit, national media attention, and hateful things said on social media have been difficult for O’Neill and his young family.”

Buttigieg has falsely claimed that he hasn't taken sides, but amid angry protests back home, he has not challenged the narrative that the shooting is connected to police racism because votes are more important to him than integrity.

At an NBC News presidential primary debate this month, Buttigieg described the shooting as “a black man ...killed by a white officer” and said he “could walk through all of the steps we took, from bias training to de-escalation, but it didn’t save the life of Eric Logan. And when I look into his mother’s eyes, I have to face that fact and nothing that I say will bring him back.”

“Until we move policing out from the shadow of systemic racism, whatever this particular incident teaches us, we will be left with the bigger problem of the fact that there is a wall of mistrust, put up one racist act at a time, not just what’s happened in the past, but from what’s happening around the country in the present,” he said, [my italics].

Buttigieg has also come under fire with naughty words and anger from black residents who think he has not done enough to reform the police department and was pelted with criticism from angry South Bend residents last month.

But it was the repeated inappropriate references to the "shadow" of racism in law enforcement (saying in June that "all police work and all of American life takes place in the shadow of racism") that particularly pissed off the cops.

To progressives, white bread or owning a dog is racist if you're white.

NFL player Edwin Jackson killed by illegal alien, police say

The suspected drunk driver who killed Indianapolis Colts linebacker Edwin Jackson, 226, in a car crash on Super Sunday is a Guatemalan citizen and is in the U.S. illegally. He has even been deported twice, according to police.

The driver of an F-150 truck in the incident was identified by Indiana State Police as Manuel Orrego-Savala, 37, and has been deported in 2007 and 2009.

Democrats think he's just misunderstood.

"State police investigators are working with U.S. Federal Immigration Officials and they have placed a hold on Orrego-Savala," police said in a statement.

Another passenger, Jeffrey Monroe, 54, was also killed in the vehicle at around 4 a.m. on Sunday on Interstate 70 in Indiana. Investigators believe Monroe was Jackson's Uber driver.

According to Fox59, at some point on the ride, Jackson became sick and the car pulled onto the emergency shoulder of the highway. A state trooper responding to the crash also struck on of the victims in the center lane when he slowed his cruiser down to investigate.

Orrego-Savala, the illegal alien, fled the scene but was arrested soon after by the responding trooper. He gave a false name, Alex Cabrera Gonsales. He was driving without a license and at a blood alcohol level of .15 at the time of the crash.

"The loss of life at the hands of illegal immigrant criminals should make all Hoosiers sad and ultimately angry," said Rep. Todd Rokita (R-Ind.) in a statement. "We must do more to get these dangerous illegal immigrant criminals off of our streets, and guarantee this never happens again by building a wall, ending sanctuary cities, and stopping illegal immigration once and for all."

Now I realize that Rokita has used this for his political advantage, but that doesn't make it any less true. It's really time to stop the influx of illegal aliens coming into the country, and do something more severe to the ones like Orrego-Savala who do.

Orrego-Savala is being held at the Marion County Jail and police are working to file criminal charges.

California is willing to take him and show him some love.

The Dumbest reporter ever

A so-called reporter from Indiana made a stupid, derogatory comment about a maritime disaster in the annals of the U.S. Navy.

Gov. Eric Holcomb (R-IN) attended the 72nd reunion of survivors of the USS Indianapolis. The ship was sunk in 1945 by a Japanese submarine and Smithsonian Magazine estimates that as many as 150 sailors died from shark attacks.

The Governor tweeted:
"I was awestruck to hear the stories and meet the survivors of the #USSIndianapolis at their 72nd reunion."
Dan Carden, the "reporter," for The Times of Northwest Indiana, a man who can only be described as a thoughtless schmuck, responded to the governor's tweet:
"It has got to be a coincidence that they do this during Shark Week, right?"
The reporter has since awakened from his sleep in the land of Stupid.

Donald Trump's Pence can't stop the flow

Indianapolis -- They're pouring into Europe and now they're pouring into the United States--Syrian refugees that we know of, and possibly covert jihadists, that we may soon know of.

It isn't a fact that jihadists are among the refugees coming into the country; it's a vow by ISIS and they tend to keep their word when it comes to promises.

It probably pays to believe them.

Republican Gov. Mike Pence's order, several months ago, to block state agencies from helping the Syrian refugee resettlement has been overturned by a federal judge. Since that time 150 refugees have arrived in Indiana.

Groups that assist refugees believe that more will arrive this year, in spite of lawyers for the state appearing before federal appeals court on September 14 to attempt overturning the judge's decision. The judge said Pence's order "clearly discriminates" against refugees from Syria.

And if that means by letting in Syrian refugees that we will be letting in a few scattered ISIS terrorists, well that's just too bad.

To be fair, Syrians make up less than 10% of the refugees who've resettled in Indiana since October, according to federal records that never tell a lie. Syrians only make up a small fraction of the 10,801 refugees the Hussein Obama administration said late August had been taken in by the U.S. under a year-old resettlement program.

In order to protect the people of his state, Pence attempted to halt Indiana's participation in the refugee influx after the Paris terrorist attacks. He didn't believe the federal government was adequately screening Syrian refugees. Perhaps he got that idea from the questions airport security asks, such as: "Did you pack that bag yourself?" and "Are you a terrorist?"

Pence's position on the flow of Syrian refugees hasn't changed and Donald Trump made it clear that if he becomes president, he would suspend Syrian arrivals until he knows what the hell is going on. In other words, he still sees them as a security threat, and if you believe ISIS, you wouldn't blame him nor Pence.

Disclaimer: not all Syrian refugees are terrorists.

Pence's state administration has tried to withhold funding to resettlement groups for services such as job training and not hating Christians and Jews seminars, but it has not denied them federal help obtaining health care benefits and food stamps, courtesy of the American taxpayers.

"My administration will continue to use every legal means available to suspend this program in Indiana unless and until federal officials take steps to ensure the safety and security of our citizens," Pence said in a statement.

There have been a total of 1,447 refugees who arrived in Indiana from Oct. 1 to July 31, mostly from Myanmar.

Pence asked Archbishop Joseph Tobin in December not to have Catholic Charities resettle Syrian families in Indianapolis, but they flipped him off thrice and went ahead anyway. Greg Otolski, the archdiocese spokesman said that families wait two years or more to come to the U.S. [Mexicans not so much].

"It is one of the critical pieces of what we do to be welcoming to people from across the world who need a safe refuge," he said, [in spite of many of them refusing to acclimate to our customs and laws, he forgot to add]. What he did add was: "We're going to keep providing that service for families who are really fleeing horrible violence in various parts of the world, not just Syria."

Clearly, the intentions of Catholic Charities are as commendable as they are naive.

Disclaimer: not all Catholic Charity members are naive--just the ones who make decisions.
