NYC Mayor Mamdani's budget cuts come as no surprise

Photo: AP

New York City socialist and anti-Zionist Mayor Zohran "Smiley" Mamdani claimed he will close the city's budget deficit without cutting services. Just like his 'free buses' claim  before he got elected, this too was a lie.

Mamdani "closed" the deficit by holding back the city's pension payments while taking a bailout from Albany. This wasn't 'taxing the rich,' it was taking the money from hard working New Yorkers.

His cuts to veterans' services, however, was the most disgusting of all, including events like parades. We veterans called it a "slap in the face," and it shows where the guy's priorities lie: to the Communist agenda.

We're talking a planned cut of a million dollars from veteran services and events like a ticker-tape parade for former military men and women, that we learned about on Wednesday.

If comrade Mamdani's budget goes through, it would be reduced by about $7.6 million in fiscal year 2026 adopted budget to $6.6 million in his 2027 budget he disclosed Tuesday, a reduction of more than 13%, according to city records.

Service-disabled Marine Corps veteran Osbert Orduna referred to the move “a slap in the face” to veterans, especially those living with visible and invisible wounds of war.

This makes perfect sense, of course. Democrats and socialists like Mamdani hate America, and they certainly despise the men and women who sacrificed to protect our nation and the world. In fact, many of them seem to be rooting for Iran to win the war with us.

"There will be endless billions for progressive nonprofits to 'organize' on behalf of the DSA and for useless pet projects and leftist special interests, but our veterans get less in the annual budget than we spend to build a single public toilet. It's a disgrace," Paladino wrote. "My district has the largest number of veterans per capita in the entire city, and my district office hosts the first and only veteran resource center in New York. I meet these men and women every day and my office tries to do everything we can for them, but we're already operating on a shoestring and it's heartbreaking to think we're going to have even less to offer them."

Bronx borough president Vanessa L. Gibson said they will be advocating for a restoration of these funds in the final budget.

"It’s insulting to cut any resources and programs from our veterans and military families for their service and sacrifice to this Nation. I hope this can be reversed," Gibson wrote on X.

Taliban offered Kabul to U.S. while leaving but Biden admin said "no, we're just fine with you doing security"

You cannot make this garbage up--it boggles the mind and shows the utter fecklessness of Biden and whoever is controlling him. If the Taliban tells you that you can do your own security in Kabul and they will leave you alone to do it, that is considered a gift and should be grabbed at faster than a butt in the vicinity of Andrew Cuomo. So true to his record of never being right, President Biden told the Taliban that they could do the job.

Brilliant!

No, it's incredibly stupid. Besides the death of 13 U.S. military and almost 200 Afghans at Kabul airport, as well as the stranded Americans and interpreters outside of Kabul  who were denied access to the city or just couldn't get there from where they were, the "mission" was a total success--but only if you're Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Jen Psaki or the military leaders in charge of the debacle.

Biden, while he still had a several functioning brain cells, made a big deal in 2019 about not leaving Americans behind. In a more recent interview with George Stephanopoulos he made the same claim when pressed in the interview.

Obviously they were lies.

Now with an unknown number of Americans left behind, the Taliban has a smorgasbord of opportunities.

House Armed Services Committee member Rep. Michael Waltz explained that whenever the Taliban doesn't get its payoff in economic "assistance" or international legitimacy, "these thugs" can walk down the street and "take another hostage."

These Americans are  like terrorist ATMs.

And now we are learning that the Taliban is going door-to-door executing people as tweeted by Fox News' Lara Logan.

So Biden doesn't just have the blood of 13 American military personnel and hundreds of Afghans on his hands, he's covered in blood. And as an added kick in the butt, our allies no longer trust us, and who can blame them?

The military leadership in the Biden administration is incompetent, but at least they're woke and know all about "white rage," as Gen. Milley said. Maybe he should have spent more time dealing with military issues than woke bullcrap.

All of the Biden team should resign; everyone of the people at the top, including Biden, because none of them had the guts to stand up and go against the demented clusterfrack that Biden insisted on pushing for his political agenda.

People are stranded in Afghanistan and if White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki doesn't like that word, she can pound sand. It took American veterans, like those in "Pineapple Express," to help get people out because the government wasn't getting it done.

As a USMC war veteran, I am disgusted with this administration and ashamed of how the country treated our allies--not just the Afghans, but our NATO allies who sacrificed like our men and women did.

Vets walk out on AOC after she blasts US foreign policy

Rep[ulsive] Alexandria Obviously-Comatose (Socialist-NY) blasted US foreign policy at a private meeting in the Bronx with community leaders. But two military veterans were fed up with the garbage they were hearing from the Marxist former bartender--so they got up and left.

“She knocks the country, she knocks the president. And that’s not what America is about,” said Silvio Mazzella, a Vietnam War vet and treasurer of Community Board 11.

Tony Vitaliano — an Army veteran and former detective in the NYPD for 38 years, and commanded the Bronx’s homicide detectives — was sitting between  AOC and a staffer for the freshman socialist Democrat.

“I just couldn’t hear her BS anymore,” the former CB11 chairman said. “I just got up, got my umbrella in my hand and walked right out.”

AOC held the closed-door meeting with about a dozen members of the board on Wednesday night, marking a rare visit to the Bronx, which is part of her district.

A Middle Eastern Muslim board member, rather than discussing local Bronx issues, raised the issue of the conflict in Yemen. And rather than trying to get the Middle Eastern Muslim board member to try staying focused on issues relevant to why local district hold local meetings in the first place, Obviously-Comatose was delighted to broach a subject she could spitball about without having to know too many facts.

The lipsticked lunatic slammed our US policy of providing bombs to Saudi Arabia, which has supported Yemen’s government in a brutal civil war, according to attendees. Some blamed her for not including the roles of other nations in explaining the volatile region’s violence.

“Talking about America, that really turned me off completely,” said Mazzella, 74, who fought Charlie in the Nam from 1966 to 1968.

When Israel came up later in the meeting, AOC suggested President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are autocrats, as one person at the meeting attested.

“I was revolted,” said the attendee, who didn’t want his name published.

The attendee, Mazzella and Vitaliano said they all walked out in disgust before the end of the session.

Earlier in the meeting, board members complained about problems with the US Postal Service, which, they whined, regularly misses mail deliveries. The also took up an issue over a local Amtrak property that attracts graffiti vandals.

CB 11 is a working-class neighborhood on the eastern side of the Bronx covering Allerton, Morris Park, Pelham Gardens and Van Nest. In addition to parts of the Bronx, Obviously-Comatose's district includes north-central Queens where she also rarely visits and could care less about now that she has acquired fame and two anti-Semitic congressional "sisters."

“Did she care about the issues? She wrote them down,” said Vitaliano, 78, “The jury will be out on the local issues.”

She “danced around the whole” question of Columbus Day, [but not on Instagram] for which the neighborhood holds a parade every year, said Vitaliano, who supports creating a day for indigenous people but wants to preserve the treasured Italian-American tradition.

AOC’s office denied that anyone actually stormed out of the meeting because they lie.

“The only person that left the meeting while it was underway was someone who had to go pick up their children,” said AOC spokesman Corbin Trent.

Asked about Trent’s comment, Vitaliano said, “That’s bulls–t. Everybody that was there knows I walked out."

The real question is: why does anyone take AOC seriously?

MSNBC ANALyst: Military vets who support POTUS are "not honorable'

An MSNBC analyst said that military veterans who support President Trump are "not honorable."

Malcolm Nance apparently knows the character and heart of we veterans who support the President of the United States. Those of us who support what he does as President, not necessarily what he does outside of his job.

Nancy was responding to what White House aide Kelly Sadler said about Sen. John McCain's (R-AZ) statement that he would vote 'nay' on the CIA director nominee Gina Haspel. Sadler said of the situation, "It doesn't matter, he's dying anyway."

Sadler apologized to McCain's daughter Meghan, but did not do so publicly. She should--she is totally wrong and her words are disgusting. Trump should also have her fired, as I've previously said, and apologize on behalf of his administration. He should also fire the leaker, as I also previously said.

But McCain is free to vote however he decides to vote. His own history of being a prisoner of war in Vietnam has colored his decision and it's understandable. I disagree totally with his decision, but I understand why he feels the way he does, and he wrong.

However, Malcolm Nance is an a-hole for saying that veterans who support our president are not honorable. I believe those who do not support the president as president, as opposed to supporting his pre-presidential behavior, are the ones who are dishonorable. You support the president because you support the country.

Honorable people want him to succeed, not fail. Honorable people put country ahead of political party. Dishonorable people put their own politics and ideology before country.

When Trump said John McCain wasn't a war hero because he was captured, i wrote that he was wrong. I received some flack from his die hard followers, but if you catch flack it means you're over the target.

As a veteran and Trump supporter (let's face it, he's doing great things), I resent idiots who generalize about an entire group of people. They are liberals and identity politics is all they have to counter the right.

Being a Navy veteran doesn't give Nance any greater credibility about who I am or who my brothers in arms are and were.

I am a USMC Vietnam veteran and I am an honorable American and Nance can go to hell.

NFL plans to use veterans and cancer charity funds to pay off Anthem kneelers

San Francisco 49er Eric "The Weed" Reid told Slate magazine, an online mag that leans further to the left than Karl Marx, that the NFL intends to use the money that was slated to be used for breast cancer charities and "Salute to Service" veterans fund to pay for a seven-year, $89 million "social justice" program designated to pay off protesting NFL kneelers.

The NFL announced the cash initiative last week, as a way of "settling" with the players who a coalition of players who kneel disrespectfully during the National Anthem. In other words, the NFL is paying them off to stand during the Star Spangled Banner using money slated for veterans and cancer charities.

Makes perfect sense.

When the announcement was first made, it wasn't clear where the money was coming from--now it is.

If you are not boycotting the NFL on television and at the games, you're saying that you're okay with players standing during the honoring of our flag and our national anthem.

Please consider boycotting the NFL. As Martha Steward says, "It's a good thing."

Vets to protest school that protests the flag

Amherst, Mass. -- Hampshire College in Amherst decided to stop flying the U.S. flag after the student butt rockets allegedly burned Old Glory in protest of the results of a free and democratic election.

Local veterans, who served and some who fought, along with other patriots, intend to place hundreds of U.S. flags on the streets around the leftist school on Sunday, as part of what organizers are calling a "peaceful demonstration of freedom."

In other words, the thing that these students have that is represented by what they burned.

Frightened college weasels decided to indefinitely stop flying flags earlier this month in deference to the scary students who burned the school's main flag in the center of campus. One professor, who wishes to remain anonymous, soiled his pants at the site of the student's flag-burning.

Officials replaced the flag, but evidently were threatened with harm and it was lowered again by spineless staff.

School officials said they welcome peaceful discussions about the flag decision, because they don't have the courage to stand for anything.

This is exactly why Donald Trump won.

Donald doesn't duck but misses the point

It's a terrible thing to lose your son in a war. It's worse to politicize it because when you do, the target of your political assault has every right to return fire, as it were.

Khizr and Ghazala Khan lost their son, Humayan Khan in the Iraq war. That is a terrible thing and Humayan is a hero.

Khizr Khan and his wife, Ghazizi, appeared on the DNC stage demanding that Donald Trump read the Constitution, and if he didn't have a copy, Khizr would be happy to give him his, as he pulled the pocket Constitution and held it high. His hijab-clad wife said not a word throughout the drama.

"You have sacrificed nothing and no one," Khan said, addressing Trump through the magic of television, as he held his hand over his heart, the new 'tell' that indicate liberals are in the process of lying about something.

Trump, as is his wont, replied to the Khans. Unfortunately, he missed his chance to put his ego aside and make a better point than he ended up making.

Trump spoke to Maureen Dowd of the New York Communist Times, stating, "I'd like to hear his wife say something."

Later, in an interview with George Stephanopoulos of ABC News, Trump made it clear what he meant by the first quote when he said: "I saw him [Khizr Khan]. He was very emotional and probably looked like a nice guy to me. His wife . . . if you look at his wife, she was standing there. She had nothing to say. She probably, maybe she wasn't allowed to have anything to say. You tell me. But plenty of people have written that. She was extremely quiet, and it looked like she had nothing to say. A lot of people have said that."

Stephanopoulos said to Trump, "He says, 'You have sacrificed nothing and no one.'"

Trump replied, "Who wrote that, did Hillary's scriptwriters write it?"

"How would you answer that father? What sacrifices have you made?" he asked Trump, in that liberal media ambush way they get you.

And here is where Trump screwed up, I believe. He said, "I think I've made a lot of sacrifices. I've worked very hard. I've created thousands and thousands of jobs, tens of thousands of jobs."

That's when George asked, "Those are sacrifices?" Another 'got ya' moment.

"Sure, I think they're sacrifices. I think when I can employ thousands and thousands of people, take care of their education, take care of so many things," Trump said. "Even the military. I mean, I was very responsible along with a group of people for getting the Vietnam Memorial built in downtown Manhattan, which to this day people thank me for.

"I raised and I have raised millions of dollars for the vets."

Those are not sacrifices and didn't answer the question. Donald missed the point.

If you remember, Trump had declined participating in the Fox News GOP debate and held a fundraiser instead. He said he raised millions of dollars for veterans' charities and contributed one million dollars of his own money. The Washington Post investigated and found that he overstated the amount that was raised and contributed and that Trump didn't make a personal contribution. It was only after that article that Trump wrote a check.

But that isn't the problem.

First of all, rather than defending himself over his 'sacrifices,' he should have addressed the fact that Hillary voted for the war in Iraq while he opposed it. Humayan Khan would have not died if Trump was in command.

He didn't say that.

Second, Trump should have asked Dowd and Stephanopoulos the same question: "What have the Clintons ever sacrificed? After all, Bill Clinton dodged the Vietnam War draft and Hillary's move to kill Osama bin Laden was a no brainer.

Finally, while many Trumpsters will hate me for saying this, I believe it was a bad idea to go after Ghazala Khan. Trump may he totally correct that she was told to keep her female Muslim mouth shut, but in a later interview with Communist media moron, Lawrence O'Donnell, she made a case for being too emotionally overwrought, which made Trump look foolish.

Trump needs to win this election against "Shoutin' Hillary." But he needs to put his narcissistic ego aside (all politicians are narcissistic--every one of them), stop with the name-calling (I need to listen to my own advice) and go after Hillary on the real issues: Benghazi, her emails, her refusing to have a real press conference for over 200 days, her contradictory stances regarding what she will do as POTUS, her salary discrepancies with women on her staff, and the Clinton Foundation's foreign connections with terrorist nations and those that are misogynistic.

And that's just for starters.

Facts. Stick to the facts and keep hammering at them, Mr. Trump. You need to convince independent voters that you're the real deal . . . and I believe you are.

Oh, and don't be afraid of using bigger words. We're smarter than you think.

Vet groups reportedly didn't get the Trump fundraiser money

Donald Trump said he raised $6 million for veteran's charities when he held a fundraiser on the  eve of the Iowa caucuses. But unfortunately, almost all of the organizations that were to receive the money have gotten less than half of what they were supposed to receive.

According to the Wall Street Journal, of the 22 veteran's groups slated to receive money by Trump's campaign, 19 organizations got a total of $2.4 million from Trump's foundation. The other three charities did not reveal what they got, with one declining to disclose, another claiming it needed to submit more paperwork before getting the money, and the third unresponsive altogether.

Fox Business Network (FBN) stated last February that only a fraction of the donations pledged made it to veterans groups and several at that time said they received bupkis. In all, seven of the 22 groups got $650,000.

Trump held the questionable fundraiser after refusing to appear at the January 29th GOP debate because he said that he wasn't treated fairly by the network.

If being asked policy questions, or being made to account for past statements and/or political donations is unfair, then he has a point. After all, the liberal media doesn't embarrass their political picks when they interview them.

Trump's campaign spokeswoman, Hope Hicks, said that Trump has, in fact, "given to the 22 groups we originally announced and many others."

I don't know what happened to the unaccounted money and I refuse to make a statement about what I believe. You need to be the judge and decide for yourself.

An Administration of Emotion: Shutting Down the WWII Memorial

The World War II Memorial in Washington D.C. is closed due to the government shut down. It's usually open 24/7 every day of the year even when it isn't staffed. So what can possibly be the reason why a bunch of Ninety-Somethings can't get to see their war memorial and perhaps read the names of the fallen who served in Okinawa and the other battles in which they died? A place where they can go, many for the first and last time they will ever get the chance, to feel as if the country gives a damn about them.

FBI evidently confronted Eric "Boom Boom" Swalwell over the weekend and hoo boy

It has been a rough stretch for former Rep. Eric "Boom Boom" Swalwell . You know, the guy who's known for the fart heard round...
