O'Rourke would punish churches that don't support gay marriage

Democratic dullard Robert Francis O'Rourke [an Irishman who uses the name "Beto" to make himself sound Hispanic] has little regard for the U.S. Constitution. He admitted that he would disregard the Second Amendment and take away guns from law abiding citizens.

More recently, during a CNN LGBTQetc town hall event on Thursday, O'Rourke said that if he somehow won the cosmic lottery and won became president that he would take away tax-exempt status from churches that follow their scripture and thus refuse to support same-sex marriage.

This is an example of how progressivism is the new religion of the left and is intolerant of opposing ideologies, free speech and the right to defend oneself.

“This is from your LGBTQ plan and here’s what you write — this is a quote: ‘Freedom of religion is a fundamental right, but it should not be used to discriminate,'” CNN's cretin and gay host Don Lemon said. “Do you think religious institutions like colleges, churches, charities — should they lose their tax-exempt status if they oppose same-sex marriage?”

O’Rourke answered: “There can be no reward, no benefit, no tax break for anyone or any institution, any organization in America, that denies the full human rights and the full civil rights of every single one of us. So as president, we’re going to make that a priority, and we are going to stop those who are infringing upon the human rights of our fellow Americans.”

Fortunately for America, O'Rourke has as much chance of winning the presidency as Rashida Tlaib has of buying Israeli savings bonds after planting a tree in Israel while denouncing Hamas.

Who the hell does O'Rourke think he is?

For him, it's okay to deny the human and civil rights of those who follow a particular religion. How quickly he is to condemn Christians while being unwilling to speak about Islam's similar and even more radical beliefs about homosexuality and same-sex marriage.

The left has lost its tongue when it comes to Islam's treatment of gays. In many Islamic countries, being gay, lesbian, queer or transgender is a death sentence if caught. But the left never seems to discuss that situation, only the fact that Christians, who would serve the LGBTQ community but would not serve for a same-sex wedding, should be punished for refusing to go against their religion.

Even the Trump-hating Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE) slammed O'Rourke for his "bigoted nonsense."

“This bigoted nonsense would target a lot of sincere Christians, Jews, and Muslims. Leaders from both parties have a duty to flatly condemn this attack on very basic American freedoms,” Sasse wrote. “This extreme intolerance is un-American. The whole point of the First Amendment is that…everyone is created with dignity and we don’t use government power to decide which religious beliefs are legitimate and which aren’t.”

It's clear that if O'Rourke had his way [which is as likely as a Texan being struck by lightning three times in succession at noon in Times Square on a sunny day] there would eventually be no Christian, Jewish, Muslim or religious academic institutions left standing in America. The only "religion" would be Communism, but they probably will not call it that--they'll use a catchy term like Democratic socialism.

Professor Denny Burk wrote on Twitter: “Beto O’Rourke calls for Christian churches to lose their tax-exempt status unless they endorse gay marriage. This draconian assault on the First Amendment is now the MAINSTREAM view within the Democratic party. This could bankrupt many churches and religious institutions because it would dissuade contributions. Many churches would lose their property as a result of being unable to pay property taxes — especially in big cities. This is truly draconian and unconstitutional.”

Burk is exactly correct.

Even left-wing journalists that work for far-left publications found the cretin's comments to be repulsive, possibly because he panders to his two supporters: his dental hygienist and his barber.

Slate writer Ruth Graham tweeted: “I’m late on this, but it’s astounding, and it’s exactly where conservatives have been warning that progressives are heading.”

Many in O’Rourke’s party view him as a moron and have called him a loser publicly.

Former Chicago Democratic Mayor Rahm Emanuel, a loser of another kind, essentially said the same thing about O’Rourke last year.

“If Beto O’Rourke wants to go and run for president, God bless him,” Emanuel said. “He should put his hat in and make his case. But he lost. You don’t promote a loser to the top of the party.”

Rahm was referring to the mainstream media when discussing the idea of promoting a candidate, because real journalism has been dead and buried for years now and the media has become an extension of the Democratic Party.

Coming soon: Beto's proctology appointment on video.

Comrade Bernie Sanders' reveals his 'hit list' of anti-endorsements

I want my pudding
Communist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) unveiled a list of 13 "anti-endorsements" as he put it, on Wednesday.  He bragged that he is "proud" to be opposed by "modern-day oligarchs" including Disney CEO Bob Iger, billionaire Haim Saban, former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan and Home Depot co-founder Kenneth Langone. In fact, anyone who makes more money than he brings in, or has more or bigger homes than he has, is a worthless capitalist oligarch.

Others on the list were former Verizon CEO Lowell McAdam (who has called Sanders' socialist views "contemptible"), former General Electric CEO Jeffrey Immelt and former Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein (who has implied that Sanders' efforts could be "dangerous").

The politics of communism and socialism is the politics of envy and loathing. It is immoral at its core.

Conspicuously absent from the list was Rahm Emanuel, the former Democratic Obama-buddy and failed Chicago mayor, whom Sanders condemned during the 2016 presidential campaign.

"I want to thank Rahm Emanuel for not endorsing me," Sanders wrote at the time. "I don’t want the endorsement of a mayor shutting down schools and firing teachers."

Sanders actually wants to pay "awl teachas sixty-thousand dollahs," and use American taxpayer money to pay for it.

Sanders' anti-endorsements were posted to his campaign website, and they began with a headlining quote from far-left President Franklin D. Roosevelt: “I ask you to judge me by the enemies I have made."

And Sanders has made his share of enemies starting with the leaders of the commune who had to fire him years ago for not doing his "fair share" of the work. And speaking of teachers, there's the college his wife headed that failed and she allegedly lied about the needed funding, which created legal enemies for the Sanders clan.

In an accompanying statement, Sanders threw in some fiery rhetoric of his own.

“You can tell who is truly fighting for working families by the enemies they make, and we've made a lot of enemies,” Sanders said truthfully, because nobody likes a lazy communist who wants you to pay them for being alive. “We understand that nothing will fundamentally change for working Americans unless we have the guts to take on the most powerful corporate interests in this country. [By "take on the most powerful corporate interests" he means, 'to have government take over corporations and all businesses and make him the leader.] "Therefore, it should come as no surprise that corporate CEOs and billionaires have united against our takeover movement. These people have a vested interest in preserving the status quo so they can keep their grip on power and continue to exploit working people across America [instead of allowing me the opportunity]. We welcome their hatred.” [Bracketed text are my thoughts.]

Walt Disney Company Chairman and CEO Bob Iger was named to Sanders' anti-endorsement list.

"While Kenneth Langone has a net worth of $3.7 billion, Home Depot pays wages so low that many of its workers are forced to rely on food stamps, Medicaid and public housing subsidized by U.S. taxpayers," read one blurb on the anti-endorsement list.

"Today, cashiers at Home Depot make as little as $9 an hour -- the very definition of a starvation wage." [But it's a wage that workers agreed to, and is a wage that doesn't really reflect the average wage of the company. Often the people making that wage are new employees or retirees wanting to remain in the workforce.]

Sanders, briefly the Democrat presidential frontrunner, has trailed former Vice President Joe Biden in fundraising and polling since Biden's entrance into the race. Apparently, normal Americans realize that his promises are on par with the "you can keep your doctor" promise made by another Democrat several years ago.

In a related bit of business, Sander, Independent senator from Vermont, on Tuesday criticized liberal mega-donor Tom Steyer's decision to throw his hat in the ring for the 2020 presidential election.

"I like Tom personally," Sanders told MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell. "But I do have to say as somebody who in this campaign has received two million campaign contributions, averaging I believe $19 a person, I am a bit tired of seeing billionaires trying to buy political power."

Earlier this year, Sanders sparred with progressive activist groups that pointed out that he has since largely dropped his criticisms of "millionaires and billionaires," opting instead to single out "billionaires" only -- ever since Sanders himself became a millionaire, because he is a hypocritical leftist hack.

Sanders has released tax returns showing that he and his wife paid a 26 percent effective tax rate on $561,293 in income, and made more than $1 million in both 2016 and 2017. Sanders donated only $10,600 to charity in 2016 and $36,300 in 2017, the records showed, followed by nearly $19,000 in 2018.

Those relatively minimal charitable contributions led critics on both sides of the aisle to accuse him of hypocrisy. But Joe Biden gave far less than even Sanders gave.

"People like Sanders ... would have more credibility if they didn’t engage in such hypocritical practices, condemning the big, bad rich people whose greed they want to harness for their own allegedly benevolent bidding," Liz Wolfe wrote in The Federalist.

Kim Foxx is okay with outside investigation into Smollett case

Cook County State's Attorney [while she still has her law license] Kim Foxx [no relation to Redd Foxx but she is friends with the Obamas] said that she is open to an independent outside investigation into her office's horrible decision to dismiss all charges against "alleged" racial hoaxer and staunch anti-Trumper, Jussie Smollett. [The word 'alleged' is used to protect us from lawsuits but the evidence that shows Smollett is guilty is highly overwhelming.]

In an op-ed for The Chicago Tribune, Foxx admitted that a third-party review into the high-profile case would help maintain transparency, something she pretends to welcome with open adipose arms.

The surprise decision to drop all 16 charges on Tuesday, followed by Smollett's refusals to apologize along with claims of his innocence and complete exoneration, was followed by an immediate rebuke from Chicago's mayor Rahm Emanuel and police superintendent Eddie T. Johnson. Both men said that it was a "whitewash of justice" which subsequently put pressure on the state's attorney's office to defend its whitewash actions.

“I am not perfect, nor is any other prosecutor out there, but ensuring that I and my office have our community’s trust is paramount,” Foxx, who ran on a platform of transparency, wrote.

Foxx also initially said she recused herself from the Smollett case and later stated that she didn't mean "recuse-recuse," she was merely being colloquial and only meant 'recuse'. The question is, how can anyone use the legal term 'recuse' in a colloquial way?

Smollett is accused of staging an anti-gay, racist attack on himself in January in order to promote his career. He has denied the charges from the start and says two men approached him at 2 a.m. during a polar vortex, beat him, threw bleach they apparently had on him and tied a rope around his neck before shouting, "This is MAGA country," in reference to President Trump's campaign slogan, "Make America Great Again."

Yes. We are to believe that while most people were at home in their warm beds, two white Trump supporters IN CHICAGO knew who Smollett is because they watch "Empire" like all good Trump supporters, had bleach and a rope with them, and attacked him.

We are also to believe that in during the entire "attack," Smollett held onto his Subway sandwich, left the rope around his neck and waited 40 minutes to call the cops. And we are expected to believe that after he told the cops that he spoke with his boss when the attack occurred, but refused to give up his phone to them so they could check, that he was telling the truth.

And we are expected to believe that the two Nigerian men who he knew, who bought red hats [not MAGA hats--they're impossible to buy in Chicago], rope and bleach, prior to the attack, and that Smollett had written them a check for three thousand dollars, [not a Mensa move], and who subsequently told law enforcement that Smollett hired him to attack him, that he is innocent?

In order to investigate the alleged hate crime, the city removed 24 detectives from their regular cases, expending up to 1,000 hours to hunt down the truth.

“In determining whether or not to pursue charges, prosecutors are required to balance the severity of the crime against the likelihood of securing a conviction,” Foxx wrote. “For a variety of reasons ... my office believed the likelihood of securing a conviction was not certain.”

Yeah, and OJ is still looking for the killer of his wife.

According to sources, including my own source, Vinny Bagadonuts, the grand jury was willing to indict Smollett with a sliver of evidence the Chicago PD provided to them.

Foxx said Smollett’s “alleged unstable actions have probably caused him more harm than any court-ordered penance could.”  Boo hoo. But she added that jails should be reserved for those who commit violent crimes, which is not her call to make, and it's blatantly false.

Her defense isn't swaying many people.

"Foxx could have distanced herself from this blunder given that her own blunder — emailing and texting with people close to Smollett early in the investigation — had prompted her to step away from the case and leave it to underlings," Chicago Tribune columnist Eric Zorn wrote. "But she grabbed ownership of it Wednesday, giving interviews in which she expressed pride and confidence in the way her office had handled the case."

Zorn, like so many others in Chicago, believe Foxx "probably will and arguably should lose her job next year over her office's handling of the Jussie Smollett case." Some believe she should lose her license to practice law.

Foxx's actions also prompted both the National District Attorneys Association and the Illinois Prosecutors bar Association to sharply criticize her office.

President Trump obviously waded into the controversy because he cannot help himself, saying he would asked federal law enforcement officials to look into Smollett's case right after he asks them to check out whether Adam Schiff was the guy caught on camera jay walking on J Street.

“I think the case in Chicago is an absolute embarrassment to our country, and I have asked that they look at it,” Trump said.

Chicago cops sleeping on the job

Chicago -- A pair of Chicago police officers were photographed in their vehicle sleeping on the job. The photo has gone viral, like all things that make us angry go viral on the internet.

The photo shows the cops in a Police 6111 vehicle, both wearing their bullet-proof vests, both deep in Land of Nod, cutting Zz's. The picture was posted Saturday and shared over 20,000 times, including Rahm Emanuel's rival Ja'Mal Green [the name means "Yes 'Sick" in German-French].

Green has been active in the Black Lives Matter movement. He blames the sleeping of the officers on mandatory overtime ordered by Emanuel.

"In light of all of the violence that happened last week, Rahm decided to deploy 600 MORE officers & make officers work overtime! [That's called the "Trump exclamation point"] This picture proves WHY ["Trump capitalization"] this was a bad idea. Officers get fatigued which will prevent them from reacting to crime," Green ignorantly wrote on his Facebook page.

But it was determined that the cops involved had not been working overtime or extra shifts. They were simply sleeping because they were sleepy, apparently.

Former Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy, called sleeping on the job "just inexcusable." He is also running for mayor but maybe will change his mind and join the running for president crowd--everyone else seems to be joining.

"It's a big deal," he told WGN, omitting Joe Biden's "F" word for emphasis.

The Chicago PD disputes Ja'Mal's claim that the pair of sleepyheads were overworked and burned out. "Office welfare, health and safety are among our highest priorities. The officers involved in this incident were not on an overtime initiative and worked minimal amounts of overtime since July 1 and didn't work overtime this week or weekend."

Police spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi said the department became aware of the photo over the weekend and an investigation has been opened by the Bureaus of Patrol and Internal Affairs. "Officers will face discipline," he said.

Crime in the Windy City has been climbing. Over the weekend, 59 people were shot, six died, and 53 were wounded, one of whom was a 3-year-old boy who was shot in the leg.

On Saturday night, three people at a back-to-school peace picnic held in a playground, were shot in the back. A fourth person was beaten up at the event, held ironically to promote peace in the community.

Verbose and useless Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel (Democrat, of course) said, "I know the power of what faith and family can do . . . Our kids need structure . . . I am asking . . . that we also don't shy away from a full discussion about the importance of family and faith helping to develop and nurture character, self-respect, a value system and a moral compass that allows kids to know good from bad and right from wrong."

That should do the trick.

Pleasant dreams.

Chicago the new 'Rat Capital' of the US

New York with its Democratic Mayor Bill de Blasio used to be the rat capital of the country but now that honor goes to Chicago, with its Democratic Mayor Rahm Emanuel as rat complaints have spiked and squeaked past those of the Big [Juicy] Apple.

According to apartment search service RentHop, Chicago had the highest number of rat-related complaints of the four major U.S. cities, beating out New York by a lot more than a whisker.

RentHop compiled the data indicating over 50,000 rat-related complaints were filed last year, a 55 percent increase since 2014.

"The abundance of garbage and buildings in The Windy City makes it a great location for these rats to seek shelter and food for survival," RentHop reported. "The presence of these furry critters poses a threat to city dwellers due to the fact that they are capable of spreading diseases and cause allergic reactions to humans and animals."

The worst neighborhoods were Logan Square, West Ridge and Englewood.

"Most of the neighborhoods with a higher concentration of rat complaints coincide with the neighborhoods with a higher concentration of dog poop," the website wrote, leaving out whether the poop is food for the rats, or people who don't pick up after their dogs attract rats.

The other cities RentHop compared in the study were New York, Washington D.C. [with a larger variety of rat], and Boston.

The Chicago Department of Streets and Sanitation told the Chicago Tribune that they received 42,670 requests for rodent control from residents in 2017, but Rahm Emanuel and Barack Obama were not among them. The agency explained the lower number from that reported by the website was due to duplicate complaints.

One courageous rat, [obviously a socialist] broke into an ATM machine in India and chewed away at the bills, destroying 1.3 million rupees, or $18,500. Apparently those critters will eat anything.

In the spirit of a feces cone disguised to look like a chocolate delight, Sanitation Spokeswoman Marjani Williams told The Tribune "(Streets and Sanitation) encourages residents to report rodent activity to 311 so that our crews can quickly investigate and address every sighting."

Apparently, there are as many addresses in Chicago as there are rodent sitings.

She added that the agency conducts preventative baiting and there's a program to place dry ice into rodent burrows in parks and other areas to suffocate rats.

It seems as if the government pilot program isn't working.

Cops chase illegal alien on bus after he threatens to kill passengers

An illegal alien aboard a Greyhound bus allegedly threatened to shoot and kill fellow passengers on Friday.

A police chase began in Wisconsin and ended in Illinois. The illegal alien is now facing terrorism charges.

The call to the police came from a bus passenger at around 9:40 p.m. claiming there was a person threatening to kill people.

Margarito Vargas-Rosas, 33, was pacing the aisle toward the back of the bus and appeared to draw what passengers thought was a weapon from his waistband. Vargas-Rosas had been living in Chicago illegally, the city where Rahm Emanuel lives, but not near an immigrant community.

Deputies from the Milwaukee and Kenosha County Sheriff's Offices tried to pull the bus off to the side of the road, but the driver was apparently oblivious or a liberal who believes illegal immigrants are unfairly mistreated.

However, Racine County Sheriff Chris Schmaling said the driver "thought it was a training exercise by law enforcement, or thought he was going to stop someone."

Patrick Todd, a passenger told The Chicago Tribune the passengers were confused by the driver's behavior and kept yelling at him to pull the hell over.

Law enforcement had to ultimately use spike strips to blow out the tires, forcing the idiot to stop on Interstate 94 near Wadsworth, IL.

But the driver, according to Todd, "didn't stop after the first spike strip, he went on to Illinois" before hitting a second spike strip.

They don't make spike strips like they used to.

Another Greyhound passenger, Terrance Williams, said he thought the cops were escorting the bus, not realizing what was going on with the illegal alien terrorist in the back. He was also confused about why the driver took so long to pull over and the Fusion GPS case.

"The law is, you see emergency lights, you pull over," Williams, an amateur lawyer said. "The police were in front of us, they were in back of us."

"I think he [the low-functioning driver] ultimately recognized that this was a serious event when we spiked his tires [the second time]," Schmaling said.

The illegal alien was ordered off the bus at gunpoint, and was taken into custody without incident. Schmaling said Vargas-Rosas threatened law enforcement as he was being transported to jail, and he even said of the jail, "Why you puttin' me into this sh**hole, man?"

A weapon was not found on the illegal alien but officials said the bus will be thoroughly searched. None of the almost 40 passengers were injured.

Vargas-Rosas was previously deported back to Mexico five times, and now faces charges of felony terroristic threats and disorderly conduct. Nothing was mentioned as to whether or not he will be deported again, but with Trump at the helm, this is a distinct possibility.

Vargas-Rosas is slated to receive the Reverend Al Sharpton Award for Bravery in the Face of Deportation by Racist Pigs.

Gun control capital of the US: 43 shot, 6 dead

Six people were killed and 37 were wounded in the war zone known as Chicago this weekend. The attacks included two rifle homicides in Back of the Yards, nine people were shot in an incident in Lawndale, where the lawns are littered with casings, and there were double shootings on the River Walk and at 31st Street Beach.

Thus far, there have been 275 homicides, but on the bright side, that's 9 fewer than last year.

Only 1,520 people have been shot in Chicago this year, down 150 from last year, but still outpacing the American casualties in the entire Middle East. Last year was the most violent Chicago has seen in twenty years and everyone knows that only Barack Obama can be blamed for the mess he caused in his supposed 'home town.'

In Brighton Park, rifle shootings are the in thing--two people were murdered within 24 hours this past weekend.

Rahm Emanuel, the 44th Mayor of the "Windy City" and leftist gun control advocate, isn't worried about the shootings. He has full, round-the-clock protection, as top politicians do.

Since March of last year, no less than 20 people have been murdered and an additional 47 wounded in rifle shootings.

Handguns are the typical 'weapon of choice' for the gangbangers, but now that they're using rifles, this should get anti-Second Amendment leftists going after those weapons as well.

But gun control only works for the law abiding person who turns his weapon in, while the bad guys don't and get a huge advantage.

So what's Chicago to do?

It isn't so much about gun control--not when a 13-year-old girl was stabbed and beaten to death in the Sheridan Park neighborhood Sunday night--it's about the culture, the lack of both parents in the house, the lack of structure and some discipline coupled with love.

When you got nothing, you got nothing to lose.

Some cities caving to POTUS' funding threats

President Trump's call to pull federal funding from cities that shield illegal immigrants from federal authorities is finally making an impact on local government leaders of these "sanctuary" towns counties and cities around the country. The are caving in and agreeing to follow the law of the land.

In Dayton, Ohio, Police Chief Richard Biehl said that federal authorities will no longer be impeded by the city when going after illegal immigrants who are being held by his department for misdemeanors or felony property crimes. Dayton has dropped their illegal policy restricting cooperation with immigration officials and are reluctantly allowing the Trump administration to follow the Constitution.

But Dayton isn't the only city deciding they need the money more than the 'feel good' tingle they get from thinking they're being goody-goodies. Miami-Dade, Saratoga, NY, Finney County, Kansas, and Bedford, PA are following suit, according to The Center for Immigration Studies (CIS).

"We are reviewing policy changes at a multitude of other jurisdictions as well," explained Marguerite Telford, CIS's communication director. She said that CIS is "being inundated" by officials on its sanctuary map who want to be removed from their list.

The mayor of Miami-Dade County, Carlos Gimenez, has been in office since 2011 and in local politics since 2004.

He is a Cuban-American whose family moved to the U.S. in 1960 during the Castro Revolution. He was naturalized in 1975 and has served as a Republican but obviously has a "soft-spot" for immigrants, even though his coming to the U.S. was done legally.

Miami-Dade County had been considered a sanctuary community but it made headlines when Gimenez changed a policy that refused to hold arrested immigrants of immigration officials unless they committed to reimbursing the county for the cost of detention.

But the county stood to lose hundreds of millions of dollars in federal funding  so he ordered jails to comply with federal immigration detention requests. After all, didn't some of the federal money pay for the extra time the criminal immigrants spent in the slammer?

President Trump's executive order gives the DOJ and DHS the power to cut federal funding to communities deemed to be sanctuaries for illegal immigrants. Mr. Trump also authorized the DHS to publish a weekly list of sanctuary communities.

Ms. Telford said: "Are you really going to pick and choose what laws you're going to enforce? If you want a change [in immigration policy], go to the legislature."

What a novel idea for liberals.

In spite of some communities giving in to the president's executive order are rethinking sanctuary policies, others, especially large major cities, have vowed to defy the law.

And those who defy the law should be prosecuted.

New York City's certifiable "Idiot" Mayor Bill de Blasio said "We're going to defend all of our people regardless of where they come from, regardless of their immigration status" [as long as they vote Democratic].

De Blasio was also a staunch defender of the Sandinista National Liberation Front which should give you an idea of just how much of a socialist and idiot he really is. Beside that he is a strong opponent to New York's stop-and-frisk laws which drastically helped to reduce crime in the city.

Chicago's incompetent Mayor Rahm Emanuel also said that he will do whatever he can to protect illegal immigrants from the feds, even those scum who have convicted crimes or are suspects in crime.

Emanuel is certainly doing nothing to protect the citizens of his city who are being killed at war-zone pace.

And it's all political ploys--they apparently care to provide sanctuary to the illegal immigrants but not for their legal citizens. Where's their sanctuary? Ask Kate Steinle's family.

While it's understandable that illegal immigrants would be fearful of reporting crimes for fear of being deported, that could be solved, perhaps by developing an anonymous reporting system.

But again, it seems that any government official who knowingly refuses to uphold the law under the Constitution should be prosecuted or at least terminated from their position for refusal to do their job.

Trump's order causes showdown between 'sanctuary' cities & states

President Trump plans to cut of millions of dollars in federal funds to cities who are not following the law of the land. Known as "sanctuary cities" they protect illegal immigrants by failing to cooperate with federal authorities. In other words, they provide sanctuary to illegal criminal immigrants, but they don't provide a sanctuary to their victims.

Trump's goal of ending sanctuary cities may be better carried out by GOP governors who share that goal.

"State governments can have a lot more control over local municipalities than the federal government does," Angela Morrison, professor at Texas A&M University's School of Law told Fox News.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is vowing to "remove from office" any local official who promotes sanctuary cities. He announced the legislation last week amid a dispute between Abbott and Travis County Sherrif Sally Hernandez. She said she would reduce her department's cooperation with federal officials when they request an inmate be deported.

The governor threatened to cut off about $2 million in state funding to Hernandez's office if she refuses to follow the law.

"The power of the purse is going to be big because the state can tie funding to existing laws," said Morrison.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, a Trump adviser, backs Trump's campaign promise and he may also cut funding to local governments who provide "sanctuary" policies but has thus far not revealed what he would do.

"I agree with [Trump]. I took the same position when I ran for president," Christie said on his monthly radio show. "Elected officials can't be allowed to pick and choose which laws they choose to comply with."

But Morrison said that New Jersey adheres to home rule which gives local municipalities much more power in administrating laws and would make it more difficult for Christie to enforce Trump's order.

Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner is a Republican who appears to be missing his "man parts" as he refuses to say publicly where he stands on the issue of sanctuary cities. Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, a flaming liberal who was Obama's chief of staff and hates Trump, called on Rauner to say where he stands.

"We're going to stay a sanctuary city," Emanuel said. "Wherever you came from, you're welcome here." [Whatever you do while you're here, robbery, murder, rape, whatever, we will protect you.]

Boston Mayor Martin Walsh, a fierce leftist, said he would do everything in his power to protect Boston residents living in the country 'without authorization' even if that means using City Hall, but not his home, as a shelter.

"If people want to live here, they'll live here. They can use my office. They can use any office in this building," he said, but he refuses to allow them to move into his neighborhood.

"Washington is advancing the most destructive and un-American threat on America during this campaign," he added. "The latest executive orders and statements by the president are a direct attack on Boston's people, Boston's strength and Boston's values."

Republican Gov. Charles Baker, much like Rauner, only sings in falsetto. He claims that he doesn't want Massachusetts to become a "sanctuary state," he believes cities and towns "should be allowed to make their own decisions," because then he doesn't have to grow a pair and take a stand.

It seems as if the left will only be happy when the United States of America becomes the Untied States of America and the country loses it sovereignty.

Obama-Rahm failed Chicago but point fingers elsewhere

The Department of [so-called] Justice announced a blistering report on Friday saying that the Chicago Police Department has misused excessive force and hasn't held officers accountable nor trained them properly.

Some Chicago leaders, rather than accepting their lack of overseeing what goes on in their own city, want to distract the public and meet with President-elect Donald Trump.

The DoJ looked at department after dashcam videos were released in 2015 of a cop shooting Laquan McDonald. Rahm Emanuel and Barack Obama (who coincidentally lived much of his life in the Windy City) were both in office and did nothing but point blame at the cops and did nothing else.

Some of Chicago's most prominent leaders want Trump to support the DoJ's report and talk to them face-to-face about the violence there.

"What about the high crime rate?" Bishop Larry Trotter of the Sweet Holy Spirit Church asked. "We as leaders need to meet with the President-elect Trump."

Just like they met with President Obama and Mayor Emanuel. How'd that work out?

Bishop Trotter and other religious leaders met Saturday and many of them think the DoJ report is a good step, but it doesn't tell the whole story. "We need to talk about race relationships and police relationships," said Bishop James Duke of the Liberation Christian Church. "We still live in a society when black men see blue lights behind them and they get scared."

This is confusing since Obama has dramatically improved race relations, if you ask him.

Bishop Duke would like to discuss jobs, mass incarceration and the root problem behind the violence [which is fatherless homes, in most cases] with Trump, but did not admit that he and the other leaders never had a 'heart-to-heart' with Obama or Emanuel.

Chicago will start working with the DoJ on a consent decree whereby a federal monitor would be appointed to oversee change in the police department.

All that would be needed to change after this would be to find a way to oversee and encourage two-parent family structure of Chicago's black youth. This is not a racist idea, it's a sad fact that contributes to the high crime rate.

Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson sees the changes as a move in the right direction and said that Chicago has already begun implementing reforms by adding body cameras and increased training with the hiring of more officers.

"Since I became superintendent," he bragged, "you've seen that we are doing things differently. We are getting videos out a lot quicker, we are taking decisive action when we see problem areas and so we are going to build on that, but believe me, we recognize that CPD has to get better."

Where was Obama and Emanuel all this time?

And why are they calling on Trump now?

I suggest it's to find someone else to blame.

Trump blasts Rahm Emanuel on gun violence

Chicago just had one of its most violent years in its history with 762 homicides--the most in twenty years.

Donald Trump took to Twitter Monday to attack Chicago leftist Mayor Rahm Emanuel: "Chicago murder rate is record setting--4,331 shooting victims with 762 murders in 2016," he tweeted. "If Mayor [Rahm Emanuel] can't do it he must ask for Federal help!"

Emanuel met with Trump on Dec. 7th in Trump Tower in Manhattan, but they spoke about illegal immigration, not gun violence.

Chicago is our third largest city and saw 1,100 more shootings last year than it did the previous year and this has been the largest homicide spike in 60 years.

It's almost safer in Aleppo.

Emanuel was Obama's former White House chief of staff and as such, did as good a job as he now does in Chicago. The shooting violence is staggering and police and city officials are concerned over the flood of illegal guns into Chicago--and the crime numbers support their concerns.

Police have recovered 8,300 illegal guns in 2016. a 20 percent increase from 2015.

Chicago is among many U.S. cities that have seen a spike in violence, including attacks on police, said Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson. He said that anger at police, left criminals 'emboldened' to violent crimes.

He added that it's becoming clearer to criminals that they have little to fear from the criminal justice system. "Any time a guy stealing a loaf of bread spends more time pre-trial in jail than a gun offender, something is wrong."

Exactly. It isn't gun laws that prevent gun crime--it's the faithful execution of those laws.

Johnson has been complaining about Illinois' lax gun laws and believes more gang members are arming themselves because the price for being caught with a gun is small compared to other large cities.

Typical liberal thinking.

Johnson said gang members he has spoken to think the court system is 'a joke'.

The majority of deaths and shootings which jumped from 2,426 in 2015 to 3,550 in 2016, took place in only five of the city's 22 police districts on the South and West sides, all poor, predominantly black areas where gangs are most active. About 80 percent of the shooting victims are known to police and had gang ties or past arrests.

Emanuel announced last year that 1,000 cops would be added to the department and in the meantime, police officials are trying to figure out why homicides and shootings suddenly surged.

Whatever the cause, gun control is clearly not the answer, as Chicago is among the strictest in the nation.

But conservatives always knew that.

Chicago defies Trump: will remain sanctuary city

Chicago-Ill -- The city of Chicago is pledging to remain a sanctuary city to protect undocumented immigrants from having to worry about the law. The law will apparently apply only to actual citizens. Symbolically, this is Chicago "flipping the bird" to President-elect Donald Trump.

Trump has promised to cut off federal funding from all sanctuary cities where local law enforcement isn't required to alert U.S. Immigration and Customs authorities about the immigration status of illegal aliens.

This makes perfect sense to the left seeing as how they believe they're doing the Lord's work, even when these illegal immigrants break the law and sometimes people die.

On Monday, the city's elected officials, including Mayor Rahm Emanuel, are scheduled to hold a news conference to formally discuss how they plan to retain their sanctuary status. Aldermen are expected to call on Republican Governor Bruce Rauner to pressure Trump to go back on his promise to cut off funding.

"Across the country and in Chicago and Illinois . . . young men and women [are] very distraught about this," Chicago Alderman Danny Solis told POLITICO Illinois on Sunday.

Solis, who doesn't have a lot of respect for anyone who doesn't think exactly his way said, "There's some people, thought I disagree with them, but I have some respect for--Paul Ryan, Reince Priebus. I'm hoping that those guys have much more influence on Trump and what needs to be done not only on his first 100 days, but in his term."

Illinois Comptroller-elect Susana Mendoza, whose parents are legal Mexican immigrants and didn't have to compete with illegal Mexican immigrants for her job, called on Rauner to take a stand on the issue.

Mendoza doesn't think losing federal funding is a good idea for Chicago. "As a leader of this state, the governor, and everyone in a leadership position, should be saying it's wrong," she said. "I would expect that the governor would say, 'that's ridiculous.' Besides moral bankruptcy, it's bad fiscal policy for the city or any city."

Emanuel said in a statement: "I want to assure all of our families that Chicago is and will remain a sanctuary city. Chicago has been a city of immigrants since it was founded. We have always welcomed people of all faiths and backgrounds [including felons and potential terrorists] and while the administration will change, our values and our commitment to inclusion will not."

They call it 'inclusion' if those they're including vote Democratic.

As it now stands, other cities have affirmed their commitment to remaining illegal sanctuary cities: New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, Philadelphia, and San Francisco [where Kate Steinle was killed by an illegal alien].

In a "60 Minutes" interview, Trump promised to immediately deport 2 to 3 million undocumented immigrants, and has yet to comment on unlicensed pharmacists (aka drug dealers).

Chicago breaks their all-time homicide record

Chicago, Obama's hometown -- It wasn't easy. Maybe you can credit the tight gun control restrictions on law abiding people for the problem, but Chicago homicides have soared above 500 thus far for the year, already surpassing total murders for last year.

Just this holiday weekend, 65 people were shot, 31 of them between 6 a.m. Monday and 3 a.m. Tuesday. The total is now up to 512 where last year's number was 491, and there's four months left in this year.

"It is a complex problem with multidimensional facets to it," said Mayor Rahm Emanuel, using big words to make it sound like he knows what he's confused about. "It's not just about more police," he said, "but it will include that. But it's also about more resources for our children, more resources for our neighborhoods and stiffer laws that reflect the values of our city."

Emanuel is confident that if more laws are on the books, gangbangers will respect them and the crime rate will go down, proving again that even a blatant idiot can be a mayor of a major American city if you have the right connections.

Almost 3,000 people have been shot this year in the U.S., according to The Tribune, many during holidays.

Police say the spike in gun crime during the back end of Labor Day weekend had to do with retaliatory gang acts. But Emanuel plans to deal with that problem by making it more difficult for gang members to purchase guns at gun shows.
