BREAKING: Iran Suspends Negotiations with U.S. says Iranian Media

Iran's latest decision to suspend indirect negotiations with the United States marks yet another reminder of a central truth about the Islamic Republic. It has never viewed diplomacy as a process of compromise. Rather, it treats negotiations as an extension of conflict by other means, a venue in which leverage is accumulated, demands are expanded, and concessions are expected from others rather than offered by itself.

On Monday, Iran announced that it was halting all exchanges with Washington conducted through mediators. The move, reported by the IRGC-affiliated Tasnim News Agency, was justified on the grounds of what Tehran described as Israel's "continuing crimes" in Lebanon.

"Considering that Lebanon was one of the preconditions for the ceasefire and that this ceasefire has now been violated on all fronts, including Lebanon, the Iranian negotiating team is suspending dialogues and exchange of texts through mediators," Tasnim reported.

In a separate statement, the agency raised the stakes considerably.

"Furthermore, Iran and the Axis of Resistance have resolved to pursue the complete closure of the Strait of Hormuz and activate other fronts, including the Bab al-Mandab Strait, as part of efforts to punish Israel and its supporters," Tasnim said in a separate post on X.

Tehran has also demanded the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Lebanon, adding yet another condition to an already fragile diplomatic process.

Whether this suspension represents a temporary pause or a more comprehensive breakdown in communications remains unclear. Yet the broader significance is unmistakable. Iran is not narrowing the field of dispute. It is widening it.

The Islamic Republic has once again escalated its demands while simultaneously portraying itself as the aggrieved party. What began as negotiations concerning the ceasefire and the future of the conflict has now expanded into an attempt to hold Washington directly accountable for every Israeli military action in Lebanon. Tehran's position is that American influence over Israel must be exercised according to Iranian expectations before meaningful talks can resume.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi made that point explicitly on Monday.

"Its violation on one front is a violation of the ceasefire on all fronts. The US and Israel are responsible for the consequences of any violation," Araghchi wrote on X.

Likewise, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the parliament speaker and lead negotiator, accused the United States of violating the ceasefire through its continued blockade of Iranian ports and by failing to restrain Israeli operations in Lebanon.

Behind these statements lies the enduring reality of Iran's regional strategy. The so-called Axis of Resistance is not a spontaneous coalition of like-minded movements. It is a network painstakingly constructed over decades by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and its Quds Force. From Hezbollah in Lebanon to Hamas in Gaza, from the Houthis in Yemen to Shia militias in Iraq, these organizations serve as instruments of Iranian influence and power projection throughout the region.

The current conflict traces its origins to the US-Israeli strikes on Iran in February, strikes that reportedly resulted in the death of Ali Khamenei. Hezbollah's subsequent missile attacks against Israel transformed an already dangerous confrontation into a wider regional conflict.

A ceasefire between the United States and Iran took effect on April 8, with Pakistan acting as the principal mediator. A separate ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon followed on April 16. Yet Iran has consistently argued that these agreements are inseparable, insisting that Israeli military actions in Lebanon constitute violations of the broader Iran-US truce.

What effect this latest development will have on negotiations remains uncertain.

The talks have covered issues of enormous strategic consequence, including the future of the Strait of Hormuz, Iran's enriched uranium stockpiles, sanctions relief, and the framework for a permanent settlement. Both sides had reportedly been working toward a 60-day memorandum that would extend the ceasefire and create space for further nuclear discussions.

According to reports, draft provisions included the reopening of Hormuz to unrestricted shipping, the removal of Iranian naval mines within thirty days, proportional easing of the American blockade, and sanctions waivers permitting Iran to resume oil sales.

The agreement was said to be awaiting final approval from both US President Donald Trump and Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei.

Trump projected confidence early Monday.

"Iran really wants to make a deal, and it will be a good one for the USA and those that are with us," he wrote. "Just sit back and relax, it will all work out well in the end, it always does."

Yet optimism has repeatedly collided with reality. Only last week Trump warned that Iran needed to finalize an agreement or "we'll have to finish the job," after the White House rejected reports of a draft accord as a "complete fabrication." The president has previously estimated the ceasefire's chances of survival at only one percent.

That skepticism appears increasingly justified.

The truce has been tested repeatedly through military incidents and competing narratives. The United States and Iran continue to offer conflicting accounts of engagements in the Persian Gulf, including strikes near Bandar Abbas, disputes involving drones and tankers, and claims surrounding an Iranian retaliatory attack on a US airbase.

The broader lesson is difficult to ignore. Every ceasefire in the Middle East creates a brief window in which diplomacy might succeed. Yet such agreements endure only when all parties accept that compromise is preferable to escalation. Iran's latest actions suggest that, at least for now, Tehran believes pressure and confrontation remain more useful tools than peace.

There's a new guy actually running Iran and he's an obstacle to peace

Happy-Go-Lucky Ahmad Vahidi

After the US-Israeli airstrikes had shaken the very foundations of Iran’s leadership and left dozens of its top officials dead in the opening phase of the conflict, one figure emerged from the shadows to seize control of the Islamic Republic. This was no moderate reformer or reluctant pragmatist, but a terrorist and opportunist in waiting who had long prepared for such a moment.

Major General Ahmad Vahidi, the happy-go-lucky commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, gathered his inner circle and assumed direction of both the military campaign and the negotiating effort. Analysts noted the shift immediately. As soon as Vahidi, now a spritely 67, and his allies took charge, Iran hardened its position still further.

Officials refused outright to join peace talks with the United States this week, while Tehran intensified its attacks on vessels attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

Vahidi, long sanctioned by the West and tied to terror attacks in Argentina, embodies the most extreme faction within the regime, so don't let his religious zabiba [A zabiba (Arabic for "raisin") is a dark, hardened callus on the forehead of some Muslims, known as a prayer bump or "devout sign"] make you think otherwise.

He has pushed aside Tehran’s so-called moderates, including those nominally leading negotiations with America. Even if Washington were somehow to extract a deal from Iran’s delegation, that agreement would carry no weight so long as Vahidi and his hardliner scumcrumpets remain the true power behind the throne. And with the gay junior Ayatollah laid up uni-legged, and probably looking like ten miles of bad road, there is nobody else running things for the regime.

Vahidi had commanded Iran’s goose-stepping, Hitler-esque elite Quds Force in the 1990s. In that role he laid the groundwork for Iranian influence across the Middle East before passing the position to the terror mastermind, the late but not forgotten Qasem Soleimani. Together, Vahidi and Soleimani helped create the network of proxies that now stretches from Lebanon to Yemen, most notably the Hezbollah terrorist group.

Unlike the last two IRGC chiefs, Vahidi moved comfortably between the military and political worlds. He served as defense minister and interior minister under different administrations. Last December the now dead Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei appointed him deputy chief of the IRGC. When Khamenei and former IRGC Chief Mohammad Pakpour were killed in US-Israeli strikes on 28 February, Vahidi rose to the top like a log in a cesspool, if you know what I mean.

The question that now hangs over Tehran is simple: who is really in charge in Iran?

Following Khamenei’s death, Vahidi championed the late leader’s unimpressive gay son, Mojtaba Khamenei, as successor, despite reports that the old ayatollah had never intended him for the role due to his embarassing sexual taste and less than desired cognitive abilities.

Mojtaba was injured in the 28 February strikes and has not been seen in public since. Khosro Isfahani, research director for the Washington-based National Union for Democracy an Iran think tank, offered a blunt assessment.

“If Mojtaba is alive, and that is a big if, he is just a sock puppet. He is the first AI-generated supreme leader in human history,” Isfahani told The Post, referencing the fake photos the regime had posted of Mojtaba following his appointment. “He has zero political capital, zero public support, and zero sway over the decision-making. The regime has and will continue attributing statements to him,” Isfahani added.

Vahidi’s grip on the negotiating team became unmistakable when he installed Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr, an IRGC veteran and secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, into the delegation earlier this month. Zolghadr’s task, according to the Institute for the Study of War, was to ensure the team followed the IRGC’s hardline instructions. He fulfilled that role with ruthless efficiency. When Foreign Affairs Minister Abbas Araghchi appeared to hint at possible concessions in the first round of talks, Zolghadr promptly reported him.

“Zolghadr sent a complaint to senior IRGC leaders, almost certainly including Vahidi, that Araghchi had surpassed his mandate during the negotiations by expressing flexibility regarding Iran’s support for the Axis of Resistance,” the ISW said of the initial peace talks. “Zolghadr’s anger caused senior leaders in Tehran, including former IRGC Intelligence Organization Chief and long-time member of Mojtaba’s inner circle, Hossein Taeb, to call the negotiating delegation back to Tehran,” the think tank added.

Iran’s delegation has still not returned to Pakistan to resume talks with the United States. The message is clear. Vahidi and his allies, not the diplomats or the figurehead supreme leader, now dictate the course of the Islamic Republic. The regime’s most extreme elements hold the reins, and they show no intention of loosening their grip as they continue to get their butts kicked by US and Israeli forces.

IDF soldiers send 20 Lebanese terrorists to their deaths in under a day

The IDF just took out Hassan Ali Marwan, commander of the Imam Hussein Division, in Beirut, about a week after they already dropped his predecessor. Boom. One less terrorist middle manager off the board.

Listen, folks, Israel Defense Forces soldiers mowed down over 20 terrorists and wrecked dozens of Hezbollah infrastructures during ops in Southern Lebanon on Wednesday. The military put it out there plain and simple.

In one case, these Hezbollah goons tried to launch an anti-tank missile at IDF troops. Big mistake. The soldiers hit back with a rapid operational response and eliminated five of them right then and there.

Meanwhile, the Israeli Air Force dropped in and took out two more terrorists. Clean work. Our guys on the ground confiscated a whole arsenal too, RPGs, anti-tank rockets, ammo, even a hunting rifle and other combat gear. Hezbollah's getting stripped bare.

"The IDF will continue to operate with determination against the Hezbollah terrorist organization, which chose to join the war and operate under the sponsorship of the Iranian terror regime. The IDF will not allow harm to Israeli civilians," the military warned. And they mean it.

On top of that, the IDF struck and destroyed two more bridges over the Litani River in Southern Lebanon. Defense Minister Israel Katz called it out: they were "being used to smuggle weapons and facilitate the movement of Hezbollah terrorists southward."

"This is a direct action against Hezbollah’s use of Lebanese state infrastructure to advance terror activity, and also a clear message to the Lebanese government: The State of Israel will not allow such a reality," Katz said.

"We will not permit any threat to Israeli citizens, and we will continue to act with full force until complete security is achieved in the north."

The IDF laid it out further: this Iranian terrorist proxy was using those crossings to move thousands of weapons, rockets, rocket launchers, all aimed at hitting Israel south of the Litani. They even released footage Wednesday, aerial and ground ops in Southern Lebanon as part of "Operation Roaring Lion." Troops have taken out dozens of Hezbollah operatives, blown up weapons depots, anti-tank positions, you name it, ever since Hezbollah started attacking Israeli territory "in defense of the Iranian regime." Yeah, right, defending Iran by targeting civilians. Classic.

And again, the IDF confirmed they killed Hassan Ali Marwan in Beirut, that Imam Hussein Division commander, right after his predecessor got the same treatment. This Iran-backed unit runs under the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Quds Force, pushing Tehran's agenda and launching attacks. Marwan was coordinating between the division, Hezbollah, and the Quds Force, overseeing missile, drone, and rocket launches straight at Israel.

Folks, this is what happens when you poke the bear long enough. Israel isn't playing games. They're dismantling Hezbollah piece by piece, commander by commander, bridge by bridge. And good riddance.

IDF's surgical strike takes out IRGC Quds Force leaders at Beirut hotel

The Israel Defense Forces carried out a surgical strike that targeted Quds Force's Lebanese Corps commanders, part of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC ) operating in a Ramada ["You do your thing. Leave the rest to us"] hotel in formerly beautiful Beirut.

The IDF reported that the commanders [aka terrorists] were planning to advance terror plots against, you know, the Jews in Israel from Lebanese territory.

The military said the Quds Force’s Lebanon Corps acts as a liaison between Iran’s IRGC and the Hezbollah terror organization, supporting Hezbollah's military buildup.

As is their practice, the IDF took calculated steps to minimize civilian casualties, unlike the IRGC who take calculated steps to maximize civilian casualties. They used precision munitions and aerial surveillance prior to the strike.

“Prior to the strike, steps were taken to minimize the chance of harm to civilians,” the military said, and added that it will continue targeting Iranian regime commanders operating in the region.

Rumor has it that US forces in the region are considering naming the next operation "Operation Fafo."

Israeli Forces Neutralize Key Terrorist in Lebanon Strike

Qassem Salah Al-Husseini, a linchpin in Iran’s shadowy weapons smuggling network, was totally killed by Israeli forces in southern Lebanon’s Kfarkela on Thursday. The IDF and Shin Bet confirmed the kill Friday, a precision airstrike that turned Al-Husseini’s car into his coffin, per Al-Hadath reports.

This wasn’t just any target. Al-Husseini was a Lebanese operative, a cog in Iran’s Quds Force machine, plotting attacks on Israeli civilians and IDF troops along the northern front. The Quds Force, an arm of Iran’s IRGC, fuels chaos across the Middle East, propping up Hezbollah in Lebanon, Houthis in Yemen, and militias in Syria and Iraq, Tehran’s so-called "axis." Al-Husseini was their point man, funneling weapons from Iran through Syria to Hezbollah’s outposts and into the West Bank.

“He was a key figure in a weapons smuggling route from Iran through Syria to various locations in the northern front and to the West Bank,” the IDF stated, underscoring his role in arming terror cells. With ties to Syrian and Lebanese smugglers, he operated under Quds Force orders, feeding the beast of anti-Israel operations.

Remind you of anything?

His elimination is “a significant blow to the ability of various terrorist organizations in the northern front and in Judea and Samaria to arm themselves and carry out attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF forces,” the IDF added. A single strike, a ripple effect, disrupting Iran’s terror pipeline.

Israel’s military presence persists past withdrawal deadlines, targeting Hezbollah’s infrastructure after the Israel-Iran war cooled. Meanwhile, Tehran’s struggling to keep its arms flowing. A Western intelligence source told The Jerusalem Post in April that Iran’s land routes, choked since Bashar al-Assad’s fall, forced them to try smuggling weapons to Hezbollah via Beirut’s port. Those efforts? Largely thwarted.

Al-Husseini’s death marks another checkmate in Israel’s relentless campaign to sever Iran’s tentacles.

The Mossad prevented 3 attacks by Iran on Israeli businesspeople and tourists in Africa

Israel's Mossad has prevented multiple attacks by Iran on Israeli tourists and businesspeople in no less than three African countries, according to Channel 12 on Sunday. Specifically, the targeted Israelis were visiting Ghana, Senegal and Tanzania, the report states.

Five anti-Semitic suspects, all with African passports, have been arrested.

Iran, the largest supporter of global terrorism in the world and rabid hater of Jews and the Jewish State, have been trying to harm Israel and Israelis via cyberattacks and overseas attacks, even while President Joe Biden tries to woo them.

There have been shadow wars between the countries going on for decades, but Iranian efforts spiked since November 2020, after the Islamic Republic’s nuclear chief Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was assassinated, allegedly by the Mossad using a very cool AI machine gun to do the job and prevent him from developing a nuclear weapon designed to wipe out all of Israel and eventually the United States of America.

In addition, Iran has accused the Mossad of sabotaging its nuclear weapons facilities in July 2020 as well as in April and June of this year, which Iran claims was used for making popcorn, or some such nonsense.

There was also speculation that Israeli intelligence assisted the US in sending scumbag Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Quds Force Chief Qasem Soleimani to his 72 virgins in little bite-size pieces.

At the start of October, Israeli officials accused Iran of attempting to assassinate Israelis in Cyprus, as they had successfully done in 2012. Meanwhile, at around the same time, there were plots by Iran to target Israelis in India, Thailand, Kenya, Azerbaijan and Georgia.

Just this past January, Iranian proxies attempted to kill an Israeli diplomat in India, inspiring a cookbook titled, "Kosher Curries With Lots of Worries."

Israeli intel officials believe Iran will continue to seek revenge on Israeli targets and Jews because they are Israelis and Jews and want to avenge the deaths of their leading terrorists who have been neutralized and unable to kill.

Justin Trudeau shakes hands with Iranian terrorists: Canadians become impolite

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is either an oblivious idiot or he's a horrible human being--one or the other--because it didn't dawn on him that shaking hands with an Iranian scumbag terrorist was the wrong thing to do.

The leader of the cold world is facing impolite anger by his fellow countrymen after he was photographed shooting the breeze, shaking hands, and doing the "Obama Bow" to Iran's Foreign Minister Javad Zarif. The thing is, the kissing up came after the terrorist nation of Iran shot down a commercial airplane killing 57 Canadians.

Oops!

Last January Iran shot down a plane after they launched a series of missile attacks at two Iraqi military bases housing American troops. The Iranian response, a form of sword rattling, came after U.S. President Donald Trump blew away terrorist Quds Force general Qassem Soleimani, to the dismay of his fellow terrorists and the U.S. Democratic Party.

Soleimani was in Iran [where he was not supposed to be] trying to stir up anti-American sentiment and organize anti-American terror operations.

At first, Iran denied downing the airliner, but after United States and international intelligence organizations proved the downing was caused by a pair of surface-to-air missiles fired from inside Iran, they finally issued a statement taking responsibility. Of course, they blamed both missile launches on "human error," but that's highly doubtful as the Quds Force is not composed of actual humans.

More than 150 passengers perished in the attack which Iran called an "unforgivable mistake."

The U.S. Democratic Party forgave them along with Justin Trudeau, it seems.

There were 57 Canadians aboard the Ukrainian Airlines plane, headed to Kiev, Ukraine, where they planned to catch a connecting flight to Toronto, according to the BBC.

“The plane was bound for the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, [aka Kiev] and many on board had a connecting flight to Toronto, Canada’s largest city and a transit hub,” the British outlet reported, identifying why so many Canadians were killed in the attack. “Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said that, all told, 138 people on that flight were en route to Canada.”

At the time of the attack, Trudeau insisted that he would demand “closure, accountability, transparency and justice” from the Iranians. By justice he meant that he would force Zarif to tolerate his poor jokes and shake his hand.

However, last week, at a conference in Munich, Germany, Trudeau seemed to cozy up with the Iranian delegation, according to GlobalNews.ca, [mainly because he's a politician and a liar, but I repeat myself].

“Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is facing criticism over new photographs showing him shaking hands with Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif,” the outlet reported. “The meeting on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference on Friday quickly sparked criticism online given that Iran shot down a passenger plane last month near Tehran killing all 176 on board, including 57 Canadians. Since then, it has refused to hand over the black boxes recovered from the crash site.”

Trudeau, who has fallen under criticism for failing to treat President Trump with due respect, defended his congenial interaction with the Iranians when asked about it by reporters, even as Iranian state television reportedly played the handshake off as a sign of forgiveness.

“I made a promise to families in Canada to do everything I could to make sure that they get answers, that we have a full and complete investigation, that we understand exactly what happened,” Trudeau told reporters. “I went by to impress upon the foreign minister of Iran how important it is that we work together.” And he hoped that they could be friends.

Not everyone was impressed with Trudeau’s thoughtless behavior and abject stupidity.

“Not a good look to see PM Trudeau with smiling FM Zarif of Iran after Canadians killed at the hands of Iranian incompetence and malice on Ukrainian plane- not to mention the innocent Iranian protestors‘ killed,” one expert on Iranian-Canadian relations tweeted.

And, GlobalNews.ca reports, families of the plane crash victims are “furious.”

The Canadian delegation tried to wave off the controversy, suggesting that Trudeau was forceful in private meetings, demanding that Iran turn over the flight’s black boxes to international officials, but they offered no proof of Trudeau’s position and truth be told, Trudeau is a wuss and a former snowboard instructor.

Like every other leftist finger-pointer, Trudeau did have some harsh words for at least one person he holds responsible for the airplane being shot down: President Trump.

Back in January, the Andy Kaufman lookalike pinned Iran's "human error" squarely on Trump's shoulders, because whenever anything in any part of the world goes wrong, no matter who is at fault, they blame Trump. And normal people [those of us without Trump Derangement Syndrome] are tired of their bs.

“If there were no tensions, if there was no escalation recently in the region, those Canadians would be right now home with their families,” Trudeau said.

Soleimani deserved to die. He killed tens of thousands both directly and indirectly. Osama bin Laden also deserved to die for the same reason. The only difference in the reaction is due to who made the call. Anyone who is not in a coma knows that.

Soleimani's guard couldn't even protect himself--much less Soleimani

Asghar's Match.com photo
Quds Force terrorist leader Cassem Soleimani was recently killed in a Trump sanctioned drone strike in January. He was blown into handy bite-size pieces and will be spending all of eternity wondering what that buzzing sound was coming from the roof of the vehicle in which he rode.

Soleimani was perhaps one of the most prolific scumcrumpets ever to do jihad, and even his guard, Asghar Pashapour, couldn't protect him.

It seems like Asghar [pronounced "Assghard"] couldn't even protect Asghar. The inept guard was announced killed in Aleppo's battles on Sunday, say the Iranians, and they would never tell a lie.

Asghar [his friends just simply referred to him as "Ass"] was a close buddy to Soleimani and both men will be missed on "Death to America!" rallies.

According to the Iranian Television Agency, he was killed “in confrontations with militant groups,” because it turns out he was a lousy shot, and they weren't.

His military rank in the IRGC was not revealed, but the smart money is on Ø±Ø²Ù…‌یار .

Information indicates that he and Soleimani were very close, in a Pete Buttigieg kind of way, and they hung out together since the beginning of the war, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) intelligence agency’s Mashreq website described Pashapour as “the man who was always concerned about Soleimani's life,” whether his tie was straight, who was he talking to on the phone, and where was he going in the middle of the night.

Young Journalists Club (YJC) news agency, an Iranian propaganda outfit, released a video of a conversation going on between Soleimani and Pashapour in a site in Syria, in which the latter was asking Soleimani not to advance to frontlines, because if anything happened to him, he wouldn't know what to do.

And when Soleimani left in spite of Asghar's fears, Cassem simply said in Persian, "I wish I knew how to quit you."

Alleged Al-Qaeda Leader Arrested on Murder Charges

Phoenix, AZ -- Ali Yousef Ahmed Al-Nouri, 42, was arrested by federal law enforcement late this week on murder charges leveled by the Iraqi government.

Ahmed is an Iraqi national and terrorist leader who is "wanted to stand trial in Iraq for two charges of premeditated murder committed in 2006 in Al-Falujah,"  the Department of Justice said in a statement.

An Iraqi judge issued an arrest warrant for Ahmed and subsequently requested his extradition from the United States to stand trial and probably be executed in Iraq, if found guilty.

“According to the information provided by the Government of Iraq in support of its extradition request, Ahmed served as the leader of a group of Al-Qaeda terrorists in Al-Fallujah, Iraq, which planned operations targeting Iraqi police,” the DOJ explained. “Ahmed and other members of the Al-Qaeda group allegedly shot and killed a first lieutenant in the Fallujah Police Directorate and a police officer in the Fallujah Police Directorate, on or about June 1, 2006, and October 3, 2006, respectively.”

The DOJ noted that the decision to extradite him to Iraq will ultimately be made by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

The DOJ statement did not mention when or how Ahmed entered the United States but the smart money says he entered through Canada with the blessing of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Or perhaps another way.

It's becoming more obvious that the Trump administration is taking the threat of Islamic terrorism a lot more serious than his predecessor [who loves the sound of the Islamic call to prayer].

Trump's administration has removed terrorists: Cassem Soleimani, head of the Iranian Quds Force; Abu Bakr al Baghdadi, head of ISIS; Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, chairman of Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) and commander of Kata'ib Hezbollah; and eight others alongside Soleimani; and more recently, Qassim al-Rimi, the Qaeda leader in a Yemen airstrike, but still unconfirmed.

The New York Times reported. “If confirmed, his death [al-Rimi] could represent a significant blow to the Qaeda affiliate, which remains one of the most potent branches of the terrorist group. The Yemen branch, Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, has tried to attack the United States and Europe and is thought to still want to.”

The Times stated that the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) appears to have been the entity responsible for taking out al-Rimi as military officials said that they were not aware of any strikes.

But the CIA isn't confirming nor denying.

Vet Org. wants POTUS apology regarding TBI ASAP

Trump discusses Adam Schiff's manliness
A veterans organization is asking President Trump to apologize for one of his recent "Trumpianisms" in which he said that traumatic brain injuries are "not very serious." It is possible that he's confusing the symptoms of the Democratic Party with TBI, but that is not the case here.

Trump spoke at the Davos World Economic Forum on Wednesday and was asked a question by a reporter about the TBIs reportedly suffered by some Americans at the Ain al-Asad airbase recently hit by an Iranian retaliatory strike after the United States killed Cassem Soleimani, the terrorist leader of Iran's Quds force.

The reporter asked, "Mr. President, a question on Iran. Initially, you said repeatedly to Americans that after Iran retaliated for the Soleimani strike, no Americans were injured. We now know at least 11 US servicemen were airlifted from Iraq. Can you explain the discrepancy?"

The President responded, "No. I heard that they had headaches and a couple of other things, but I would say, and I can report it is not very serious, not very serious."

The reporter then asked: "So you don’t think that [their] potential traumatic brain injury is serious?"

President Trump answered, "They told me about it numerous days later. You’d have to ask Department of Defense. No, I don’t consider them very serious injuries relative to other injuries that I’ve seen. I’ve seen what Iran has done with their roadside bombs to our troops. I’ve seen people with no legs and with no arms. I’ve seen people that were horribly, horribly injured in that area, that war. In fact, many cases – put those bombs, put there by Soleimani, who’s no longer with us. I consider them to be really bad injuries. No, I do not consider that to be bad injuries, no."

In response to the president’s comments, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) National Commander William Schmitz issued the following statement on Friday:

In light of today’s announcement from the defense department that 34 U.S. service members suffered traumatic brain injuries as a result of Iran’s retaliatory strike and President Trump’s remarks which minimized these troops’ injuries, the Veterans of Foreign Wars cannot stand idle on this matter.
TBI is a serious injury and one that cannot be taken lightly. TBI is known to cause depression, memory loss, severe headaches, dizziness and fatigue – all injuries that come with both short- and long-term effects.
The VFW expects an apology from the president to our service men and women for his misguided remarks. And, we ask that he and the White House join with us in our efforts to educate Americans of the dangers TBI has on these heroes as they protect our great nation in these trying times. Our warriors require our full support more than ever in this challenging environment.

In a Reuters report, that according the Pentagon said that, “on Friday … 34 service members had been diagnosed with traumatic brain injury following missile strikes by Iran” on the Iraqi airbase.

This recent number of injured surpasses what was previously announced to have been the total number of traumatic brain injuries following the strike.

According to the Pentagon, 17 of the injured are already back in Iraq and on duty. Eight are back in the United States who had been taken to Germany. Some of these personnel are at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, while nine remain in Germany "undergoing evaluations and treatment."

So President Trump evidently doesn't understand the gravity of TBI as evidenced by his minimizing its severity. It has also been known to cause severe depression and in some cases, has led to suicide, as evidenced by several NFL players in the past.
President Trump has, thus far, not responded to the apology request from the VFW, but knowing his history, it's unlikely that an apology will be forthcoming until it snows in Hades. President Trump doesn't play that.

Obama the guileless

Iran symbolically flipped the bird to the Obama administration by confirming Friday that heavily sanctioned Revolutionary Guard Quds Force Commander, General Qassem Soleimani traveled to Russia in July to make a weapons deal with Putin. The deal also discussed the S-300 missile system, says Reuters.

In fact, just this past June, Russia announced that it would send S-300 missiles to Iran.

The S-300 missile is a Russian-designed surface-to-air missile used to defend against aircraft and our Cruise missiles. Later models can also defend against ballistic missiles. So if, say, Iran launched a nuke at the USA, they could in effect shoot down any of our anti-missile missiles, and there wouldn't be enough marshmallows in existence to toast from the blast.

Our U.N. ambassador, Samantha Power, whose only accurate political assessment was when she referred to Hillary Clinton as "a monster," said that she is very concerned about the news about General Soleimani's Russian excursion.

The naive Power said, "Qassem Soleimani is subject to a UN travel ban and this travel ban requires all states to prohibit Qassem Soleimani from traveling to their nation and the only exception to that is if the Iran sanctions committee grants an exemption."

Samantha Power is a stupid as Obama and his gang of idiots to think for a second that Iran cares about honoring agreements with infidels.

According to FoxNews.com, the Obama administration didn't specifically blame Putin for hosting Soleimani. (Translation: "it's Putin's fault.")

White House press secretary Josh Not-very Earnest said, "I can't confirm these specific reports but it is an indication of our ongoing concerns with Iran and their behavior."

So why the hell did we do this deal with Iran if we cannot trust them? Why didn't we simply increase the sanctions and give Israel the green light to do what they need to do to stay safe? Why, at the very least, didn't we get something out of this deal, like four American hostages released, for example?

Mike Rogers, former head of the US House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, (where nary a liberal should roam) spoke about the situation on Friday.

"We should not underestimate what this means to our national security. A leading general in Iran just told the world that the United States of America is irrelevant and Russia welcomed him with open arms. Not only do Russia and Iran not fear us, they do not respect us. And that, is dangerous."

Five days after Soleimani arrived in Moscow, John Kerry, our so-called Secretary of State, assured Congress that pressure would remain on Soleimani.

Kerry lied--his default position.

"Under the United States' initiative, Qassem Soleimani will never be relieved of any sanctions," the man who replaced another empty pantsuit said.

Soleimani is responsible for the deaths of over 500 Americans in Iraq and had likely orchestrated the failed assassination attempt on the Saudi ambassador to the U.S. at a Washington D.C. restaurant.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) weighed in on Soleimani: "He's directly responsible for the murder of over 500 American servicemen in Iraq and part of this Iranian deal was lifting international sanctions on General Soleimani--the day General Soleimani flew back from Moscow to Iran was the day we believe Russia used cyber warfare against the joint chiefs."

This administration cannot leave office fast enough.
