Orange County convicted felon was free to kill because of liberal policies

Useless is as useless does
Garden Grove, California --  A 33-year-old convicted felon from Orange County was let out of prison after serving an extremely brief sentence. This gang member who had a long list of serious crimes went on a robbing and stabbing spree that killed four people and wounded two.

The town mayor where the suspect began his reign of terror and mayhem said on Thursday that the man should never have been released from prison. Local police exposed policies pushed by left-wing politicians in recent years [who are never themselves victims of their policies] that allowed this scumbag to go free and carry out his violent carnage.

"Records indicate [the suspect] was sentenced to four years in state prison for 14 convictions, for drug possessions, possession of a firearm, an assault weapon and ammunition by a felon," KABC reported. "Garden Grove Police Chief Tom DaRe said [name withheld here] had previously been incarcerated for possession of methamphetamine with the intention to distribute while armed with an assault weapon."

Law enforcement officials told reporters Thursday that recent changes made in California Assembly Bill 109 (AB 109) -- promoted and signed into law by Democratic Gov. Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown in 2011 -- significantly shortened the felon's sentencing. An older California law then enabled him to reduce his time served by about half, allowing him to "earn a day of credit for each day served," KABC explained.

The result is that the violent gang banger's prison sentence for 14 convictions lasted less than 16 months. He was released on Jan. 14, 2016.

Garden Grove Mayor Steven Jones blasted the policies, particularly AB 109, which allowed the violent criminal to go free. "He is a violent criminal who should have never been considered for release," said Jones in comments reported by KABC.

Local police sources said that some law enforcement officers likewise blame left-wing policies and negligent progressive politicians for the ability of violent criminals like the suspect to continue to pose a threat to citizens.

"The suspect is a Proposition 47 candidate," one police source told The Daily Wire, referring to a reduced-sentencing law supported by then-Attorney General Kamala Harris and passed in 2014, the year the felon was first incarcerated.

While the "sales pitch" for both Proposition 47 and Proposition 57 was to "reduce jail overcrowding and focus on education and reform, rather than straight punishment," the source said, political leaders failed to "follow through." In other words, they forgot about the reform and mental health part.

"Brown pushed for the jail reform and won, but then never set anything up on the back end," said the source. "No facilities have been created for mental health or drug rehab. So now the police can't take people to jail, and they don't have any rehabilitation clinics to bring them to. The state has basically put the burden on hospitals, which are not equipped to deal with these problems. ... Brown made a lot more than one 'train to nowhere' during his time in office."

After the alleged scumbag stabbed two people to death at his apartment complex, he then went on a "random" stabbing rampage, attacking people at multiple locations, including a man at a gas station and a security guard at a 7-Eleven, where he was stopped by police and gave himself up.

If he is found guilty, and there is video evidence that he is, hopefully he will serve a sentence that is more than a slap on the wrist.

The left wing media hasn't played up this story very much because it doesn't fit their agenda of gun violence and it's an embarrassment to the liberals who passed these mindless bills for the sake of virtue signaling.

Gov. Moonbeam Brown denies clemency to San Francisco Mayor's plea for her brother

California Governor "Moonbeam" Brown traditionally celebrates major holidays by granting clemency to miscreants doing time. He has granted 143 pardons and 131 commutations on Christmas Eve. But he didn't show leniency to Napoleon Brown, the older brother of San Francisco Mayor London Breed. In spite of London's request, Napoleon is still in the slammer.

Breed said last week that people who break the law should face consequences, but also have a chance at redemption, especially if they're related to people in high government positions.

“Too many people, particularly young black men like my brother was when he was convicted, are not given an opportunity to become contributing members of society after they have served time in prison,” she said.

Brown, who struggled with drugs from a young age, recently was caught with heroin in prison and had two years added to his sentence, KNTV reported.

Breed, 44, who was a defense witness for her brother at his trial, has spoken out about her rough upbringing in San Francisco public housing. But having a rough upbringing does not excuse criminal behavior.

Brown, who is now 46 and no relation to Gov. Brown, pushed Lenties White from a getaway car on the Golden Gate Bridge after an armed robbery in June 2000. White, 25, was struck by a vehicle and died. Why Brown pushed White is unclear, but Sandra McNeil, White's mother, said Brown doesn't deserve early release and would rather he rot away in prison for what he had done to her son.

The dude still has two dimes to go and Moonbeam wants him to go the whole nine yards.

“I don’t think it would be justice,” McNeil said. “She’s the mayor, so she’s got a little power, so she thinks she can get her brother out.”

Among those who were granted Christmas Eve pardons by Brown are five refugees from Cambodia and an immigrant from Honduras -- all of whom are facing the possibility of deportation because of criminal convictions -- two people who lost their homes in a recent wildfire and a former state official. Brown's commutations included several former gang members who have renounced their former ties and will now have an opportunity to petition the parole board for early release.

Moonbeam has already granted 283 commutations and 1,332 pardons since returning to office in 2011, far more than any California governor since at least the 1940s. This is due to his extremely far-left philosophy that believes prisons only make for better criminals so it's better to let them wander the streets.

Fortunately, the governor needs approval from the state Supreme Court to pardon or commute the sentence of anyone twice convicted of a felony. If it was up to Brown, nobody would do time and there would be no borders, no flag, no country. Kumbayah.

The court in recent weeks has rejected seven clemency requests by the idiot governor, including one Monday.

Gov. Moonbeam: hot weather to follow--Trump better be scared

Photo: Reuters
Governor Jerry Moonbeam Brown (D.-Calif.) said on Sunday that President Trump's apparent lack of fear "of the wrath of God" explains his denial of climate change.

"I don't think," Brown accurately stated, but then added, "President Trump has a fear of the Lord, the fear of the wrath of God, which leads one to more humility." He pontificated this nonsense on CBS' "60 Minutes."

"And, this is such a reckless disregard for the truth and for the existential consequences that can be unleashed," he continued, using the word 'existential' in a sentence. He was referring to climate scientists who believe global warming is due to the burning of fossil fuels, and made it sound like Trump is the first person to burn the midnight oil.

Brown's connection with God can be seen in the wildfires in California, the worst in the state's history. He is being punished by the wrath of the Lord for being so arrogant as to believe that he is right about climate change in spite of his inability to pass a special ed Earth Science class with Mister Putterman. He is also being punished for not becoming a priest, as he was apparently thinking of doing as a young hippie.

Brown then went full-body political saying that nature is not a "political game" as he fired up a fatty and blew smoke rings into the heavens.

"The truth of the case," he lied, "is that there's too much carbon being emitted, that heat-trapping gasses are building up, the planet is warming and all hell is breaking loose. {Run! Run!]" He went on: "So I'd say to Mr. Trump, take a deeper look. Now is not the time to undo what every country in the world is committed to," he said, ending the sentence with a preposition.

Everyone's a scientist.

The real truth is that the United States has already reduced carbon emission below the level called for in the Paris accord. It's China, India and other nations who need to get on the stick, not us.

The only thing our membership means for us is that we give other countries money to get on their sticks in 30 years.

Knowingly exposing others to HIV, no biggie in California

"I need to be excused; my brain is full"
Governor "Moonbeam" Brown (D-Calif.) apparently believes that if someone intentionally infects another individual, either through sexual intercourse, or blood transfusion, it should not be considered a felony but a misdemeanor. Even if the victim dies.

Brown signed a law on Friday that lowers the penalty for intentional exposure of HIV. It is now a misdemeanor, a minor offense, like indecent exposure on Muscle Beach.

"Today California took a major step toward treating HIV as a public health issue, instead of treating people living with HIV as criminals.," Sen. Scott Wiener (D. -- San Francisco).

So with that logic, someone who is a driver but uses his or her car to plow into people should be penalized with a misdemeanor because it's a driving issue.

The way intentionally plowing into people with vehicles is taken seriously today, exposing someone to HIV used to be treated more seriously under California law than infecting someone with any other communicable disease.

But this is a policy some libtards view as a decades-old AIDS scare that unfairly punished those who intentionally infected others.

Under the old, morally appropriate law, if a person who knows they're infected with HIV has unprotected sex without telling their partner they have the virus, they have committed a felony for which they face significant time in jail. This not only prevented that person from infecting another innocent victim, but it also served as a disincentive to others with HIV who might have gone and done the same thing.

On the other hand, intentional transmission of any other communicable disease, even a potentially deadly one such as hepatitis, is a misdemeanor.

That's just as screwed up as Gov. Moonbeam's law to decriminalize the intentional spread of HIV.

Wiener appears to have the issue confused. He seems to think that because HIV/AIDS was an epidemic in the past and people were scared and ignorant about it, that it's okay to decriminalize its spread. "These laws were passed at the height of the HIV/AIDS epidemic when there was enormous fear and ignorance and misinformation around HIV," he said. "It's time for California to lead and repeal these laws to send a clear signal that we are going to take a science-based approach to HIV not a fear-based approach."

In other words, if people understand that there is treatment for the disease and they might live a longer life than people originally did in the past, then it's okay to make it a misdemeanor because the person infecting a victim probably knows the victim won't die so soon.

If I only intentionally nick you with my car, maybe to just break your legs, I should get a hefty fine, a finger wagging, and some points on my driver's license.

GOP lawmaker, Sen. Joel Anderson, voted against the senseless bill.

"I'm of the mind that if you purposefully inflict another with a disease that alters their lifestyle the rest of their life, puts them on a regimen of medications to maintain any kind of normalcy, it should be a felony," Anderson said.

Brown isn't just a bleeding heart liberal; he a bloody fool.

ICE to Brown: 'No choice' but to arrest illegal aliens

Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) top official, Thomas Homan, said in a statement that the agency has "no choice" but to arrest illegal immigrants in California's worksites and neighborhoods despite newly signed illegal sanctuary city legislation.

Those who get arrested will probably be placed in out-of-state detention centers.

Homan's statement came one day after "Governor Moonbeam" Jerry Brown (Duh--Calif.) signed bill SB54, a sanctuary state legislation.

The bill goes into effect on January 1st and bans police from asking people about their immigration status or participating in federal immigration enforcement activities that make our nation sovereign.

Jail officials would only be permitted to transfer inmates to federal immigration authorities if they've been convicted of certain crimes--other criminals convicted of crimes not on the list will be permitted to stay and vote Democrat.

Homan said the bill protects illegal immigrants from lawful deportation and makes California a "magnet."

"Ultimately, SB54 helps shield removable aliens from immigration enforcement and creates another magnet for more illegal immigration, all at the expense of the safety and security of the very people it purports to protect," Homan said.

Brown noted the bill doesn't prevent ICE from operating in California. His office declined to comment further on Homan's statement.

"They are free to use their own considerable resources to enforce federal immigration law in California," Moonbeam wrote, but said the law does prevent the "commandeering of local officials" to do immigration work.

Evidently, Brown is not a team player and, as a kid, was never chosen for a side in any schoolyard games.

"These are uncertain times for undocumented Californians [and future Democratic voters] and their families, and this bill strikes a balance that will protect public safety while bringing a measure of comfort to those families who [don't legally belong in the U.S. and] are living in fear every day [because they broke the law]," Brown said.

Democratic Senate President Pro Tem Kevin de Leon, who carried the bill, said Homan's statement "exemplifies the fear mongering and lies that guide this Administration."

The fear mongering may have started in 2015 when Kate Steinle, a San Francisco woman, was fatally shot at a pier by a Mexican national who had been deported five times. A law known as "Kate's Law" was passed this June which would increase penalties for deported aliens who try to reenter the United States.

Conservatives believe Homan's statement exemplifies a respect for the law and going about the process of citizenship the proper, legal way. Many legal immigrants believe that it's unfair that these people circumvent the system after they themselves have abided by the law.
Kate Steinle and her killer

Democratic California lawmakers have created barriers to President Trump's campaign pledge to bolster deportation of illegal aliens. There's no doubt that this would not be the case if illegal aliens would vote for the GOP in the future.

California is sanctuary to about 2.3 million illegal aliens who, if deported, would create openings for about 2.3 million jobs.

President Trump has threatened to withhold federal money to sanctuary cities, which in turn, have filed lawsuits to prevent that from happening.

Hopefully they won't have it both ways.

Cow farts now regulated in California

In a brave and stunning move to fight the battle against climate change and atmospheric odor, California Gov. Jerry Brown is pushing through a law to keep cow farts down to a tolerable level. This is intended to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions from dairy farms and landfills and make traveling throughout the state of California more enjoyable.

"You know, when Noah wanted to build his ark, most of the people laughed at him," Brown pontificated, adding that the ark saved all of Earth's species [except for those that go extinct day by day].

"We've got to build our ark too, by stopping . . . dangerous pollutants," Brown said, alluding to cow farts and a Bible story still unconfirmed about a guy who was told by God to build a big boat and put in all species of the world in it, which is kind of a story that perhaps children believe.

Although cow farts don't hang around in the atmosphere, they still spoil people's appetites and hasten global warming due to their heat-trapping ability, Reuters, the flatulence experts said. "We're protecting people's lungs and their health," Gov. Moonbeam said.

One of the main methane culprits is cow poop. As per the bill, dairy farmers have to cut methane emissions to 40% below the 2013 levels by 2030 and can do so by actually lighting cow farts in the fields where they occur.

Under a cap-and-trade-plan, farmers will receive aid from he $50 million raised by cow fart fees and other methane producers, which they can then put toward machinery that uses methane to create energy they can in turn sell to electric companies. The perceived difficulty will be in harnessing the farts by funneling them into a gathering tube.

Cows aren't very compliant and this may be a problem for farmers, but imagine how satisfied people will be when they watch Jerry Brown speak on TV knowing that his message is being powered by bovine flatulence.

To Kind Of Uphold the Constitution of the United States

Sergio Garcia, an illegal immigrant, or undocumented American, or Mexican, has finally got his wish. Serge is now an illegal immigrant lawyer, having fulfilled the illegal immigrant dream of crossing the border successfully, accepting work at menial jobs that actual Americans refuse to take, (unless we increase the minimum wage to at least $15 an hour) and going to school paying in-state,resident-level tuition.

Serge, who is now 36, illegally came to the US about 20 years ago, attended law school and passed California's bar exam. He challenged a 1996 law that denied illegal immigrants professional licenses. Not to worry, however, since Jerry I-Never-Met-An-Anarchist-I-Didn't-Like Brown, later changed the rule to allow illegals the same privileges as those of us who are Americans, pay taxes, vote, and defend the nation against all enemies foreign and domestic, not including Jerry Brown.

Garcia was born in Mexico in 1977 and was illegally brought to this country about two years later by his family. When Serge was nine, he returned to Mexico but discovered that, compared to the USA, Mexico sucked chili dogs. So he returned here again at age 17.

Serge's father had obtained legal resident status and filed for a visa for his son, but the wait was long and Serge felt that he didn't want to wait like the other suckers who followed the law, so he didn't return to Mexico and worked in the states picking almonds and working in a grocery to pay tuition at Cal Northern School of Law.

In spite of not being an American citizen, he was able to challenge American law; the 1996 federal law barring those living in the US from illegally receiving professional licenses from government agencies with the use of public funds. The federal government argued the California courts were funded by public money, and this precluding him from being granted a licence. But in stepped Jerry Brown back in October, and he signed legislation that allowed illegal aliens the right to obtain law licenses. Viva America.

Yesterday, California State Supreme Court ruled in favor of Serge, determining he "possesses the requisite good moral character to qualify for a law license." In other words, breaking the laws of the USA does not disqualify you from being considered moral, if those laws are not liberal enough. And swearing to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America, doesn't count when California says it doesn't count.

I wish Mr. Garcia all the best for 2014--he certainly got a gift from US that keeps on giving. Perhaps he will specialize in immigration law. I'm sure he'll give his clients interesting advice.

I guess being an undocumented immigrant is the same as being an unlicensed physician.

My latest novel, Jihad Joe, is about Islamic terrorism and suspense.  In it I challenge the precepts of the religion through my protagonist, Zed Nill, a journalist, captured by terrorists and who is destined to be killed if the American President refuses to release three Gitmo prisoners.  Of course, American policy demands we never give in to terrorists, and for Zed, the clock is ticking.
