Eric Holder Believes Al Shabaab Is No Big Deal

Eric Holder doesn't believe that Al Shabaab is a threat to the United States. But then again, Eric Holder thought that giving weapons to the Mexican drug cartel wouldn't be a threat to US Border agents. Eric Holder is a politically motivated lackey for the Obama administration. This is the same Eric Holder who last year was called upon by the House Judiciary Committee to hand over documents and evidence relating to the Holy Land Foundation trial, the largest terrorism financing trial in United States history, failed to do so--twice--he had nothing for the committee the year before as well. Maybe $12 million isn't a lot to Holder, but Hamas was sure happy to get the dough.

Obama's UN Yadda Yadda

President Obama spoke at the United Nations General Assembly today. Part of his speech was focused on Iran and our relationship with that country. Part of the speech was focused on Israel and how Obama believes they should give the Palestinians the 1967 territorial borders.  He also spoke about the terrorist attack in Nairobi, Kenya, and how the world is a safer place than it was 5 years ago (when George W. Bush was president). Of course, he didn't put the two ideas together in the same sentence as I just did, but that's understandable. If Obama ever decides to follow a new career after his term of office is over, he ought to consider stand-up comedy.

Islamic Terrorism and the Religion of Peace

The standoff is still active in Nairobi, Kenya at the Westgate Mall. One of the rumors is that a number of the terrorists are Americans. That makes them sound like a group of Timothy McVeighs, doesn't it--but there they go again; the media taking the focus off their real identity: Islam. Do you really believe these terrorists identify with being American? Of course not--they see themselves as religious Muslims, Paradise-bent on killing lots of people; Americans too, so long as they aren't Muslim. At present, there are 3 terrorists dead and 62 victims.

But you've heard it said over and over again that Islam is the religion of peace.

FLASH: the religion of peace is actually the Jain religion, not Islam. Even now, with the Westgate Mall terrorist attack in progress, not one Islamic organization (such as CAIR, ISNA, or Obama's buddies, the Muslim Brotherhood) has condemned it. To my knowledge, not one American imam has come out and spoken against al-Shabaab, the terrorists involved in this attack.

Bob Beckel, one of the staff on The Five from Fox News Network, said that if Islam is a religion of peace, why don't they come out and say something about the attack, but I submit to you that Islam is clearly not the religion of peace. In fact, one can hardly classify Islam as a religion when compared to other world religions. No, Islam is a geopolitical cult, clothed in Seventh Century scripture that claims itself to be the only true religion in the world, and that all others must bow to it.

The goal of Islam is world dominance and glory through jihad, or holy war. Muslim extremists (and there are plenty of those) would have us believe that jihad is an internal struggle, and they are not totally wrong, but in truth, while they call that the Big Jihad, it is really the Little Jihad. The jihad of war is the big one and if you don't believe me, just go shopping at Westgate, or be a Christian in Lebanon or any other Islamic-dominated country.

In Peshawar, Pakistan, terrorists killed Christians worshipping in church. There are 85 dead there, at the latest count.

Maybe we can force gun control on these savages.

My latest novel, Jihad Joe, is about Islamic terrorism and suspense.  In it I challenge the precepts of the religion through my protagonist, Zed Nill, a journalist, captured by terrorists and who is destined to be killed if the American President refuses to release three Gitmo prisoners.  Of course, American policy demands we never give in to terrorists, and for Zed, the clock is ticking.

Nairobi, Kenya: 59 Dead, 175 Wounded or Hurt, Not to Mention Benghazi and Pakistan

It began yesterday at the Westgate Mall in Nairobi, Kenya. A jihad attack apparently by 5 members of al Shabaab, an arm of al Qaeda with links, of course, to the Muslim Brotherhood, told all Muslims to leave the mall and then began throwing hand grenades and shooting men, women, and children at will with AK 47s. It is believed that at least on jihadist is a woman. They all wore white bandannas, military-style garb with grenades pinned to their shirts, and according to one survivor, they appeared to be well trained.

Be Careful, His Lips Are Moving

As the saying goes, when you see his lips moving, you know he's lying. But am I talking about the best president ever to honor our nation with his being elected? Not this time; I'm referring to the Syrian president, Bashir al Assad.

Mr. Assad sat down and spoke to Fox News' Dennis Kucinich and Greg Palcott. Kucinich previously met Assad and sees him as thoughtful, intellectual and consistent about his commitment to a secular Syria.  He also feels that there is no proof that Assad used the gas on his people, and believes that Assad is fighting a war to protect his country against a sectarian war.

The fact that Vladimir Putin is on board with Assad, and Iran is on board with him too, tells us that Assad cannot be trusted, if you believe the adage that you're judged by who you have as  friends. To actually believe that Assad didn't use serin gas on his people as he claims, and to then believe that he is willing to give all of his chemical weapons up to be destroyed, is akin to believing  that the Mets are going to win the Superbowl.

Wait. Didn't I say that I refuse to talk about this issue anymore? My bad.

Gun Free Zones are Dangerous

The massacre of 12 Washington Navy Yard workers was a perfect time for President Obama to use part of his verbiage aimed at the tragedy to also take aim at the GOP. Now that's what insensitivity is all about.

But the shooting is also a great opportunity for the liberals cockroaches to crawl out from under whatever garbage they've been hiding beneath, to call for stricter gun control laws. Diane Feinstein (D-CA) was one of the first to tweet about the topic, followed by the Fonz, Henry Winkler. Yeah, that's the ticket. That's about as sensitive to what happened yesterday as Obama's speech. The fact is, Aaron Alexis was mentally ill and still got on the base with an employee card. He also had a secret clearance in spite of a history of violent behavior, two arrests, and a General Discharge from the Navy for various behavioral problems.

The solution isn't more gun control. The solution is better mental illness intervention, at least in part. The solution is also better screening of people with security clearance, but even more importantly, we have got to stop flooding the media (including this blog, I must admit), with talking about these sick bastards. So this will be the last time I discuss the shooting and shooter, however, I suspect that the left is going to use this event to push their gun control agenda. As Obama's mentor, Saul Alinsky, once said, "Never let a good tragedy go to waste." There's another bastard for you.

The last thing I want to say is that if Bill Clinton didn't make the Washington Navy Yard a gun free zone and people were allowed to carry a firearm, Alexis probably wouldn't have killed as many defenseless people as he did. Sorry about the language today.

Not a Terrorist They Say

Aaron Alexis, a 34 year old black male, a convert to Buddhism, shot and killed 12 people this morning at the Washington Navy Yard, and was killed in a shootout with the police at that location. Until two years ago, Alexis worked for the Navy as an Aviation Electrician Mate at Fort Worth, Texas but left the Navy because he didn't like to get up early. The victims who died were not military people but were contractors, ages varying form 46 to 73 years.

Chemical Kerry

John Kerry is talking with Netanyahu about stripping Syria of their chemical weapons. Kerry threatened Assad again today, telling him that he better be serious about giving up his cw's or we will make him pay for it with an incredibly small military strike on his pet camel. But seriously, it's highly likely Assad will only pretend to comply and only give up a fraction of what he has squirrelled away.In any case, we are demanding a complete list of all cw's he has and their locations. It is imperative that they use a Number 2 pencil, no erasures, and clearly printed or Obama is going to move forward with a strike, with or without the approval of Congress.

The Syrian rebels, whoever they are, are upset with us. They don't trust Putin, for some strange reason, and they suspect that no good will come of this deal being brokered by Russia. These rebels have a good point--Putin, a former KGB operative, has likely been responsible for the untimely deaths of those who opposed him, and he has been known to fib whenever it is to his advantage. But when it comes to games of strategy, he makes Obama look like a dude just off the boat from Kenya.

If you listen to Obama speak, and then simply add the sentence-ender with "when chickens fly," you will be making his statements true. Nothing he says seems to be true or accurate. If he really believes that Assad is going to give up his chemical weapons, then I have a bridge in Brooklyn that might interest him to buy.

Obama's Deal with Putin

Where are these antiwar celebs
President Obama made it sound like this whole Syrian chemical weapons thing, where he got Putin on board to oversee their turnover, was his idea. He called it [their] "new willingness to join the international community in pushing Syria to give up its chemical weapons," and added, "[I] also asked Congress to postpone a vote on the use of military force to pursue a diplomatic path, that's what we're doing." Wrong and wrong again. Putin jumped in when Kerry made his Bidenesque gaffe of agreeing that the US would not strike Syria if they gave up their chemical weapons. Then Putin took it back when Obama didn't agree to take a military strike off the table. Then Obama walked back the idea of a congressional vote on the idea because it was clear that he would lose miserably on that vote because the United States does not want to intervene. We had the chance to do something about Assad killing his people two years ago but Obama did nothing. He allowed those children to "die in their beds," when the rockets fell and the bullets flew. If this was a moral issue for him now, why wasn't it a moral issue for him back then?

Obama, A Fish With a Hula Hoop

Now we're going to give Bashar Assad some time to turn over his chemical weapons; I think they're talking about a month or so. That should give Syria's dictator enough time to gather up all the chemical weapons stores, put them on a truck convoy, and truck 'em on over to the US of A. And anyone who actually believes that he would do that, has turkey stuffing for brains.

But no worries--we have Vladimir How-About-My-Pecks Putin taking care of the situation after John I'm-An-Intellect Kerry did a Joe Biden during an interview when asked the hypothetical question as to what we would do if Assad turned over his chemical weapons. Once Kerry said that we'd go along with Assad if he did, in fact turn over the weapons, "but he's not about to do that," Kerry added, Putin offered to do the dirty work for us and Obama went for it, lock, stock, and Koran.

Obama Puts Kerry in a Box, America at the Back of the Line

John Kerry is holding his second day of talks with the Russian Foreign Minister and has stated that the military option of striking Syria, is still on the table. Unfortunately, Obama has put Kerry on the spot--he has to make the threat because of Obama's red line statement (even though he tried to walk that backwards), and it's very obvious that Putin has outplayed our president in this political game.

Obama is an amateur who believes that if we all hold hands and try to be nice to each other, we will all get along. His naivety will change our status as a world super power and it's already getting the Muslim world, the very same people he thought would be impressed by his Muslim ties, to love him and hold them dear to their hearts. Ain't gonna happen, Barry--they see you, and now us, as weak, as pushovers, as people to dominate.

The truth is, a lot of Americans, and just about every conservative who still turns oxygen into carbon dioxide, does not trust you, especially after what happened in Egypt. Especially what happened in Benghazi, the IRS, NSA, Solyndra, Fast and Furious, and so on. We think that you don't have the best interests of our country at heart.

Russia is about to supply Iran with F300 anti missile defense systems which will allow Iran to go nuclear. With Russia then becoming the dominant factor in the Middle East, they will eventually be able to control the world's energy resources, and with that, along with China, become the world's dominant super powers.

President Obama, you are our biggest mistake, and I don't know what's going to happen to our country with you dragging us down. But I suppose this is what you get when you have a community organizer running a community just too big for him to handle.

Obama's New Line of Syrian Candy: Cluster Fudge

What's Obama really doing in the Middle East and Libya? I believe he is doing a confusing tap dance. Putin has made him look like an amateur executive, and I don't see why anyone would be surprised at that. He wants to do a pin prick strike, but "Our military never does a pin prick strike;" he went along with Putin's offer of taking the chemical weapons off the hands of the Syrians, Putin insisted the US not attack Syria under any circumstances, but our Nobel Peace Prize winner wasn't comfortable with that--he wanted the ability to strike if necessary. But then again, Obama has waffled for two years over Syria and the emergency they were having with the civil war there.

911 Twelve Years and One Year Later

Well it's September 11th again. Eleven years and one year have gone by. It is 8:46 am and the bells of the churches in Manhattan and Washington D.C. are tolling and the bagpipes are playing as the ceremony is performed. The names are read alphabetically and Mayors Guilliani and Bloomberg stand by. The people still cry when they get to the names of their family that was lost there. Chris Christy and Michael Cuomo are there as well. The politicians will not speak--not that they have nothing to say--we just don't want to hear them.

Every year we go through this ceremony. Every year I get choked up--I saw the buildings come down; I worked as a psychotherapist with some of the family members and a few of the victims who escaped the horrors. It amazes me how we have allowed political correctness to dictate how we pursue those who would kill us, subdue us, and change our way of life.

9:03 am--the second ringing of the bell. A moment of silence. 2753 killed at the World Trade Center. The jihadists celebrated. Some Islamists danced in the streets; in the Middle East, they handed out candy in celebration of their victory. In Guantanamo Bay Prison, we still handle their koran with white gloves because we "respect" their religion and their religion says that infidels are dirty and must not touch their holy book. We are politically correct.

9:08 am--they have been scrolling the names of the victims of bin Laden and they are still reading names beginning with the letter "B." So many names; so many dead.

Peter King (R-NY) warns us to never forget 911. He spoke about how al Qaeda has morphed into other factions. He speaks on TV but not at the site of the disaster.

9:35--President Obama speaks at the Pentagon. He quotes the Christian Bible--I find that somewhat ironic as I almost expect him to say something about the peaceful religion of Islam. He is wise enough not to say that, but he says nothing about last year's 911 in Benghazi, Libya. We need to hold their feet to the fire; we need to get Hillary Clinton to answer some questions.

9:37--Obama still speaks--there was supposed to be a moment of silence but it didn't happen this year. Obama kept speaking, quoting scripture, not mentioning last year; not mentioning the koran.

And back in New York, they are only up to the "F's". So many people killed for the religion of peace.

Syria: Breaking News!

Holy war, Batman, what the heck is going on with Syria, Russia, and President Obama? Putin said he would take the chemical weapons, Syria agreed, Obama sort of said yes, then just before the UN was to convene, Putin pulled out of the deal because the US would have to agree to forgo all military force if Russia takes the serin from the Syrian.

John Kerry will meet with Russian Foreign Minister tomorrow to discuss Syria. Seriously--it just came across the wires as I write this. The Syrian government is now willing to give up these weapons and accept the Russian proposal but in order to do that, we have to do a kumbayah. I'm not so sure Obama wants to do that--in fact, this video about World WarIII kind of says it all when it comes to Obama and war.

As of this writing, no liberals, such as: Jane Fonda, Michael Moore, Cher, all those singers who say they hate war almost as much as they hate the GOP, have come forward to protest Obama's proposal to launch a surgical strike against Assad's regime. None of the peaceniks are speaking against Obama--they have relinquished their morals for their king.

More to follow after the speech tonight. I cannot wait to see Barry tap dance.

Anticipating Obama's Face-Saving Speech.

Here's how I think Obama's speech will sound if he forgets his Tele Prompter:

"Good evening, my fellow Americans, and Assalam Alikum to the Muslim world.  I want to give a special shout-out to my main men, Jay Z--hey dude, how's it been? Hey Sean, zup? Michael, hey dude, put down that burger. Just kiddin', you can keep eatin'.

"But let me be serious here; America is in a conundrum. We have a responsibility to a world that refuses to take responsibility against an evil dictator who has indisputably used chemical weapons, specifically serin gas, on his people, and the children of Syria. I know over 100 thousand Syrians were slaughtered by Bashar Assad, but that was fair and square in the rules of war. But when those innocent little lives were snuffed out by this evil chinless man, that was it for the world--they drew a red line in the sand, and it was up to me to honor that red line because they wouldn't. (You pussies know who you are.)

"Some of you may be skeptical, thinking that I am walking the world's red line backwards. Some of you may even believe that it was me who drew that red line in the sand. It wasn't--it was you folks. And let me be clear: red lines cannot walk backwards--they are in the sand and they simply stay put.

"I know the American people are war-weary, but I can promise you, we will not use a major strike against  Assad, we will use a teeny weeny strike and no harm will come to anyone. We will likely not even break any dishes and I am not planning on removing Assad from office. All I want is to teach him an important lesson: blow kids and adults up with ballistic weapons = okay; kill kids with chemical weapons = bad. It's just that simple, folks.

"There will be no boots on the ground, but there will be a bunch of butts in the air with our air strikes. If the poll numbers from this strategy indicate that the American public will screw the Democratic party at next year's midterm elections, then I promise you, I will only use drones. It will be a total RC war brought to Assad by Mattel Drones--you can tell it's Matell, it's swell.

"I know many of you are concerned about Israel and the possibility that Syria will attack them if we attack Syria. That's okay--it's only Israel--we need to stop being so concerned about them and worry more about helping the rebels.

"Insofar as those videos that show the rebels executing those government soldiers and the rebel leader who ate the heart of a government fighter on YouTube, Susan Rice has assured me that those videos were staged.

"So I ask for your support not only for my personal face-saving surgical attack on nothing important in Syria, but for the credibility of the entire world who had to open their big mouth and draw that red line that got them into deep trouble.

"Thank you, and Inshallah, good night."

Walking Backwards Without a Rearview Mirror

Have you ever seen a street busker get his body inside a small box or can? It's really pretty amazing to watch as he wiggles and jiggles and brings his butt almost into his mouth as he scrunches into the small space. This is what Obama has done regarding his position on Syria.

He has Susan It-Was-The-Video Rice speaking on behalf of an attack on Syria, and she has as much credibility today as she did last year when she blamed some poor slob with a crappy video as the cause of the Benghazi attack. Why should we believe anything she says? It was Benjamin Disraeli who said: "There are three types of lies--lies, damn lies, and statistics." Rice's lie was of the second variety.

Bashar Assad spoke with Charlie Rose today and said that if we strike Syria, we can "expect everything." What that means isn't clear, but one can imagine terrorist attacks on our overseas embassies, or something on that scale. I don't believe it would end up becoming an all out war, but it certainly sounds bad. Here we have Obama saying we would do a surgical teenie weenie attack (Kerry called it "unbelievably small") while Assad implied that his retaliation would not go gentle into the night.

If the UN can somehow control Assad's weapons, Obama may be able to get out of the box he wiggled into. Thanks to Kerry's gaffe about what we would do if Syria turns over his chemical weapons to the UN for international control, Obama can now sit back and have Putin come to his aid. Now this will make Obama and thus the United States, look weak, but it gets Obama out of the corner he painted himself into, and to him, that's more important than the good of our nation.

Maybe Obama will come out of this with his head held high, but America will not be better off for his bravado and his red line.

Sunday Flushings

Benghazi and the World Trade Center
This coming Wednesday is the anniversary of both 911s. White House Spokesman, Denis McDonough spoke to Fox News' Chris Wallace about Benghazi. When Wallace questioned him by stating a whole year has gone by since the attack and still no arrests were made, McDonough said that we track every lead and do what we say what we will do. Wallace asked Mickey D why is it that the AP can find the terrorists, and the Obama SWAP team cannot (Sealed With A Promise). He just repeated the mantra about how hard they are looking for the terrorists.

The Hard Sell

Denis McDonough, White House Chief of Staff, has a daunting job to do on the Sunday morning talk shows: to convince the war-weary, administration-weary public to take punitive action against Syria’s Assad regime. President Obama did a policy flip when he decided at the last minute to ask for congressional approval of getting the US involved in the Syrian civil war. But as it turns out, President Obama wants it both ways: if congress goes along with their constituency and votes against hitting Syria with “a shot across the bow,” he said that he might go ahead anyway. If they vote for it, he will look like an actual leader rather than an amateur at the helm, steering the ship of the nation into the iceberg. But the thing that makes McDonough’s task the most daunting is the fact that when Obama had an administration mouthpiece, Susan Rice, speak for him on the Sunday morning talk show, it was about a lie the administration tried to perpetrate on the American public. Ironically, Susan Rice will also be called upon to push for public support when she speaks at the New America Foundation this Monday.

Mommy, Buy Me a Pink Rifle

Britain is planning to neuter their children. They want to make children's toys "gender neutral" in order for kids to choose how they decide on their gender identification. Soon they will have children deciding what Mom should cook, when they should go to bed, where to go on vacation, and whether or not to go to church, synagogue, or mosque. (Well, I'm not so sure England would really want to get in the middle of mosque decisions--they tend to say nothing negative about Islam even after a soldier was publicly beheaded by a Muslim for jihad reasons. By the way, have you noticed that there hasn't been anything more about that event in the news--what's that all about?)

So the royal Toys R Us will not have aisles for "Boys" and aisles for "Girls"; they will have aisles for "Children Who Can Decide Whether They Want to be a Boy or Girl." Children will no longer look up to their parents as head of the house, but as equal partners in life. That should make kids feel safe and secure.

Did I mention gender neutral lipstick?

You Feelin' Lucky, Punk?

It was Dirty Harry that said, "A man's got to know his limitations." He also said, "Do you feel lucky, punk?" but let's hope what Obama is threatening to do about Syria will not need to be answered by a question like that. However, limitations are relevant--I have my own and I need to admit that my limitations have to do with my predicting what would happen if we do, in fact, strike Syria with Cruise missiles or aircraft. I don't know. I suspect that you don't know either, but one thing's for sure, I know that Obama doesn't know.

This business about striking Syria has now morphed into the possibility that we may need to use aircraft to carry out a feasible mission. That's not boots on the ground, but it's butts in the air. This usually eventuates into boots on the ground after an air strike because once we hit their chemical weapons outlets, we will need to get in there and secure them before the Mohammed Brothers, Inc. get there first.  Again, I have to stress the fact that there is no way Obama can know what will happen if we strike.

I am also not a prognosticator  but my gut tells me the House is not going to vote yea for intervention. If Congress votes "no," Tony Blinken, the Deputy National Security Advisor, said that Obama will most likely abide by that vote. If he doesn't, John McCain believes that this would be an impeachable offense.

From McCain's lips to God's ears.

Putin Calls Kerry a Liar, Obama Shakes Putin's Hand

President Obama shook hands with Vladimir Putin upon his arrival in Russia for the G 20 Summit. Although I think that sounds like a terrible thing to do in light of the fact that Putin called Secretary of State, John Kerry, a liar, at least Obama didn't bow down to him like he did with Saudi King Abdullah. Putin also made it clear that if we strike Syria, Russia will react on Syria's behalf. To me, that sounds like a threat. So what did Obama do--he shook Putin's hand.

The Chinese officials said that if we attack Syria, it will effect the global economy and if that happens, we will no longer be able to choose an item from column C on the Family of Three Menu. However, the lobster Cantonese will still be available at an increased price. Care for tea?

The Make Believe Congressional Ploy & Political Poppycock

Moe, Larry & Curly
Well they are going to be voting in the Senate on whether the United States should fire a shot across Syria's bow--if Syria actually had a bow. The President is livid about the use of chemical weapons by Bashar al-Assad, the Syrian dictator who Obama believes is responsible for the atrocity that killed over 400 people. He is a bit ticked off too, about the 100,000 other Syrians who were blown to kingdom come by rockets, RPGs and whatever else the regime used against the rebels, many of whom are al Qaeda, Muslim Brotherhood, and other assorted Allahu Akbar screaming fanatics who would gladly welcome the total destruction of the United States of America. But that's neither here nor there.

The Syrian Situation

A goldfish has an attention span of about 3 seconds maximum. The American public's attention span is a little longer than that, but not by much, and Obama is counting on that fact. Benghazi, NSA, Fast and Furious, and the IRS are now overshadowed by the Syrian civil war.

Suddenly Syria has become a serious problem. Why? Because Obama, the amateur, drew the red line in the sand last August, and the public cannot help but see that Syria is gassing its people. Even though the American public doesn't want to get involved in another conflict, (about 80% are against our intervention in Syria), Obama is laying responsibility on congress. See, I'm still talking about Syria when we took our eyes off the real ball--Benghazi.

As I write this, hearings are being held to discuss the Syrian problem. The one point that is obvious to me is that we have no clear proof of who used the chemical weapons. Kerry and Dempsey sounded confident that Assad was the culprit, but ever since the Muhammad video and Benghazi, I don't trust them at all.

It seems painfully clear to me that if we "shoot across Assad's bow" this is going to lead to something horrible. It will not be an easy, pretty outcome. It will change our relationship to the rest of the world, but perhaps Obama wants that to happen, I don't know.

I believe Obama is using Congress to win political points. With the public against intervention, if they vote to intervene, Obama looks like a hero to use the Constitution, for a change. If they vote against intervention, Obama will depict the GOP to be obstructionists and will win on that point. It's right out of Saul Alinsky's play book.

We Are Damned if you Do

Whatever is said or done, you have to admit that Obama is a shrewd Alinskyite. He has flip-flopped on his stance regarding the need for congressional approval for intervention with Syria. This will  put congress in his "hot seat." If they vote for an unpopular strike, congress will be blamed. If they vote against a strike, Obama will color Congress as oppositionists, simply opposing everything he is trying to accomplish. As usual, it takes the onus of responsibility away from Obama and puts it elsewhere. Nothing is ever his fault. His next autobiography should be entitled: "Profiles in Cowardice."
