Anti-Semite leaders at U. of Michigan get the boot

A pair of student leaders at the University of Michigan have been given their walking papers on Tuesday after they tried to force the school to freeze all funding with Israel. The anti-Semitism in the West has risen to the surface like a gas bubble in a bathtub but something was finally done about it in this case.

President Alifa Chowdhury and Vice President Elias Atkinson were impeached following a marathon hearing that lasted 20 hours and spanned seven days.

The Jew-hating duo arose to power last spring from their “Shut It Down” platform and made good on their promise to freeze $1.3 million in student funding until Michigan cut ties with companies linked to Israel.

Their ploy to hurt Israel economically with campus protests left campus groups scrambling to make it to their events: blue- and pink-haired gender confused students couldn't make it to their Underwater Lesbian Mermaid Mythology class; Taylor Swift Studies majors were late arriving for their intense lessons; and Practical Marx in Practice studies were canceled. 

By October, the university was done with these idiots. Administrators adopted a hands-off approach to political issues outside campus operations, and the student government restored funding.

However, at this point the damage was done. Even students who backed Chowdhury and Atkinson’s stance thought they had gone too far.

“They look like extremists,” Tiya Berry, an Arab American assembly member who couldn’t stomach their methods, told former newspaper The New York Times.

Margaret Peterman, a sophomore member of the student assembly who led the impeachment motion, said that Chowdhury encouraged verbal attacks and threatening language, as she recalled an incident where an assembly member was spat on by a protester.

“There is a line between free speech and hate speech, between engaging in your rights as a student and as an American to disagree as vehemently as you might want to, and crossing that line into threatening someone,” Peterman said. It's also a clear line whereby one's right to free speech is assaulted by protesters who refuse to allow it to take place.

The University of Michigan has been a hotbed for anti-Semitism following the massacre by Hamas and other terrorist groups along with Palestinian civilians against Israel on Oct. 7, 2023 where these terrorists invaded Israel, killed, tortured, and raped over 1,200 men, women and children, almost all civilians, and then blamed it on the Jewish State for existing.

In June, the Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights launched an investigation that revealed the school’s failure to comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, identifying 75 harassment complaints against Jewish students that the university largely ignored.

The University of Michigan receives a ton of federal funding annually for its research and other programs. According to recent data, in fiscal year 2023, the university reported over $1 billion in federally sponsored research expenditures, which accounted for 56% of its total research volume. 

Maybe it's time for the incoming government to reconsider how they spend taxpayer money.

No longer should any school, at any level, tolerate chants about "Nazi liberation" or anti-Semitic behavior, like the case of a 19-year-old student who was thrown to the ground, spat upon and kicked while he was down.

It's time for decent Americans to kick back and stop this jackboot behavior--we're supposed to be better than that.

Black students at U of Michigan leave anti-Zionist hate group, but still don't see the light

Meanwhile, Black students at the University of Michigan have noticed some serious negativity emanating from them by the anti-Zionist student group Tahrir Coalition, citing “pervasive” anti-Black discrimination fostered by its mostly Arab and Middle Eastern leadership. [H/T Algemeiner.com]

The University of Michigan’s Black Student Union (BSU) has resigned from the anti-Zionist student group but still naively supports the anti-Zionist movement. “The BSU’s solidarity with the Palestinian people is unwavering, but the integrity of the Tahrir Coalition is deeply questionable. We refuse to subject ourselves and our community to the rampant anti-Blackness that festers within it. For this reason, we will no longer be a part of the Tahrir Coalition.”

“Black identities, voices, and bodies are not valued in this coalition, and thus we must remove ourselves,” BSU said in a statement posted on Instagram. “The anti-Blackness within the coalition has been too pervasive to overcome, and we refuse to endure it.”

The saddest part in all this is that the situation with the Jewish students on campus mirror the oppression Blacks historically experienced in so many aspects of life, and while the Black students support the Jew-haters, they have more in common with the Jews than those they support.

How can any person support what Hamas did on October 7th unless it's rabid Jew hatred?

But the more they hate us, the Jewisher we get.

University Word Nazis strike again: ''picnic' and 'brown bag' added to racist lexicon

UM [University of Michigan--DUH] has a problem with racists. Racists are everywhere. They are ubiquitous. 

You are a racist, I'm a racist, and even your parents and siblings are racists because that's what make the idiots of academia and the rest of the woke wonks feel superior to you and everyone else. 

Heck, the word Nazis even superior to Abe Lincoln and George Washington. Only they are the good guys. These are the special kids who all won participation trophies and they delight in making false accusations about people they have never met and who have no desire to meet them. They sit by their laptops and when they're done checking out porn, they try to come up with the next word or thing that offends them.

The "Words Matter Task Force"  (WMTF, although they should drop the "M" and simply go by WTF) at the UM is set up by their Information and Technology Services (ITS) and brags that it has found dozens of words and phrases that in their racist minds, are offensive to people of color. And believe me, it takes a certain kind of racist to find those words offensive.

For example, the list includes "picnic," 'blacklist," and "brown bag" as offensive. It can only be due, not to hypersensitivity with words that denote a color, but words and phrases they believe exclude people of color or in their racist minds, only include White people.

“To effectively communicate with customers, it is important for ITS to evaluate the terms and language conventions that may hinder effective communication, harm morale, and deliberately or inadvertently exclude people from feeling accepted to foment a healthy and inclusive culture,” the task force racists said in a memo.

They are so focused on color that they fail to see all people as people.

So instead of saying "picnic," you should say "gathering," even if the purpose of the gathering is to sit. on a blanket, perhaps under a beautiful tree on a bright, sunny day, and watch the ants go for your sandwich.

Here's another gem: instead of saying "brown bag," because these a-holes must have some kind of racist thought in their little minds when they hear mention of the color brown, say "lunch and learn."

They don't get the idea that paper bags are brown and that's the reference as to how people used to bring their lunch to work. Idiots.

The word Nazis may have banned the word "picnic" based  on fake claims on the internet that claims it originated from racist, extrajudicial murdering of Black Americans.

But why should they need to know what the hell they're talking about when it comes to blaming words for racism?

The Daily Mail reported:

“The word picnic actually comes from the 17th century French word ‘pique-nique,’ a term used to describe a social gathering in which attendees each contributed with a portion of food.”

Even the left-of-center Reuters News Agency published a piece headlined: “Fact check: The word picnic does not originate from racist lynchings.”

“Images circulating on social media make the claim that the word “picnic” originates from the racist, extrajudicial killings of African Americans. This claim is false.”

However, the idiots at UM are not in the business of NOT finding offensive words and phrases; for their very existence, they must find racist verbiage even if they have to pull it out of their nether regions.

Other idiotic demands include replacing "dummy" with "sample," as in: "The ventriloquist left his sample on the sofa."

Now that the NFL's Washington Redskins have become the Washington Football Team, it seems only right to replace other teams and other offensive titles.

How about the Cleveland Indians to the Cleveland Native Americans? The Boston Red Sox to the  Communist Footwear? The San Francisco Giants to The Tall People of San Francisco? Chicago White Sox to Chicago Caucasian Footwear? Kansas City Chiefs to Kansas City Head Tribesmen? New England Patriots to New England Conservatives?

And we need to consider renaming some of our cities, towns and states. Washington need to be changed, both the D.C. and the state as well as towns like Indiana, Lincoln, Nebraska--you get the idea.

Soon, if the Marxist and other cancel culture cretins get their way, the United States will become the Untied States and will be unrecognizable. That's precisely what the far Left wants. 

That's why the statues went down first, then the words will follow. Then the flag.

Then your freedoms.

All 10 UC Chancellors blast BDS movement

Finally, California got something right. All ten of the University of California chancellors signed a letter that condemned the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divest and Sanction (BDS) movement, calling it a "serious threat to academic freedom" and making the state the first university system to have the balls to do so.

The letter was written in response to a request from 101 organizations and calls from the public. The effort was organized by AMCHA Initiative following recent incidents at Pitzer College and the University of Michigan, where faculty or faculty members sought to boycott Israel.

The AMCHA Initiative is a nonprofit organization based in California and whose goals are to investigate, document, educate and combat anti-Semitism at schools of higher learning in the U.S.A. The term Amcha is Hebrew for "your people" or "your nation" and intends to signify grassroots, the masses, and ordinary people.

At Pitzer (Go Fightin' Putz's!) the faculty voted to end the institution's year abroad program with the University of Haifa last month. But Pitzer College President Melvin L. Oliver said the boycott was a "repudiation of Pitzer's values," and he disavowed the vote.

Earlier this year, a "professor" at the University of Michigan refused to write a letter of recommendation for a student seeking to spend her year abroad in Israel. 

Initially, Prof. John Cheney-Lippold had told the student he would write a letter for her but when he discovered where she was planning to spend her year abroad, [at Tel Aviv University] he said that he wouldn’t write the letter because as an anti-Semite, doing so would violate the terms of the BDS movement campaign, designed to help the Middle East, Linda Sarsour, Marc Lamont Hill, Louis Farrakhan and their ilk, destroy the Jewish State.

The U of M subsequently issued a statement saying it “has consistently opposed any boycott of Israeli institutions of higher education,” and criticized Cheney-Lippold for failing to offer proper “support” to the student. 

Later, Michigan disciplined the schmuck, sending a letter that stated, “Your conduct has fallen far short of the University’s and College’s expectations for how LSA faculty interact with and treat students.” The professor was also warned that if he did it again, he would be subject to dismissal. Now he just professes anti-Semitism.

Behind the backdrop of the Pritzer and Michigan situations, AMCHA composed a letter which they sent to 250 university presidents asking them to sign a statement opposing academic boycotts of Israel.

The letter states that abiding by the guidelines of the Palestinian Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (PACBI), the main BDS organization in the United States, “will not only inflict serious harm on Israeli academic institutions, but on faculty and students at our own schools as well.”

AMCHA’s founder and director Tammi Rossman-Benjamin said in a statement. “If this was just about Israel, we would not be involved, as AMCHA is not an Israel advocacy organization. However, this is about protecting the academic freedom and educational rights of Jewish students, which will be violated if an academic boycott is permitted.”

Good for her, good for AMCHA and good for California.

Michigan prof. disciplined for raking his anti-Semitism out on a student who wanted his recommendation

John Cheney-Lippold is a tenured professor at the University of Michigan. He refused to write a recommendation for one of his students who planned to study in Israel. This finally resulted in the racist being disciplined by the university. It's the second such incident at the school in which an anti Semitic professor refused to write a letter of recommendation for an Israeli school.

Cheney-Lippold [pronounced 'scum wafer'] recently wrote to the student in question that he would not write a letter of recommendation for her to study in Israel because to do so would violate the pro-Hamas jihad o Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement to isolate the Jewish State. This would not include, of course, items invented in Israel in agriculture, medicine and technology that have made the world a better place, but only those things that aren't required for a better life.

The school issued a statement saying it "has consistently opposed any boycott of Israeli institutions of higher education," and criticized the professor for failing to offer "support" to the student.

The letter, written by Elizabeth Cole, serving as interim dean of Michigan's College of Literature, Science and the Arts, said that Cheney-Lippold will be barred from receiving a merit-based salary increase during the current year, and will unable to take a planned sabbatical in January, or any sabbatical for two years.

He will also have to write on the blackboard: "I will not be an anti Semitic piece of dog crap" 500 times.

The letter to him stated: "Your conduct has fallen far short of the University's and College's expectations for how LSA faculty interact with and treat students," and it warned him that any similar incidents in the future can get his Hamasshole-loving butt thrown out the door [but in different words].

"In the future, a student's merit should be your primary guide for determining how and whether to provide a letter of recommendation. You are not to use student requests for recommendations as a platform to discuss your personal political [read: anti Semitic] beliefs," the letter warned.

The Washington Post reported that another teaching assistant, or graduate student instructor (GSI) [aka: POS] told a student she wouldn't write him a letter of recommendation to study at Tel Aviv University "as a way of showing solidarity with Palestine." But mostly because she hates Jews.

In this case, Jake Secker asked GSI [POS] Lucy "Allahu Akbar" Peterson for a recommendation to study in Israel. Secker's father is an Israeli and has visited Israel several times. He told Peterson that he sought to study at Tel Aviv University ["Go Bagel Noshers!"] and she wrote that she was "sorry" but that "along with numerous other academics in the US and elsewhere [who hate Jews], I have pledged myself to a boycott of Israeli institutions as a way of showing solidarity with Palestine."

She wrote this on a PC with an Intel 8088 board inside the CPU. This was invented . . . in Israel.

Michigan prof. slammed for refusing to write referral letter for student to study in Israel

An anti-Zionist [aka anti Semite] Michigan professor of digital studies at the University of Michigan is being criticized for refusing to write a letter of recommendation for a student. He is not refusing to do so because the student doesn't deserve a letter of recommendation, but because she is applying to study in Israel.

The jerk in question is John Cheney-Lippold and he notified the student, Abigail Ingber of his decision in an email that has since gone viral after Club Z, a Zionist organization posted a screenshot on its Facebook page.

Cheney-Lippold wrote:

"I am very sorry, but I only scanned your first email a couple weeks ago and missed out on a key detail. As you may know, many university departments have pledged an academic boycott against Israel in support of Palestinians living in [the 'make believe country of] Palestine. This boycott includes writing letters of recommendation for students planning to study there."

The Jew-hater denied being an anti-Semite to the Michigan Daily, claiming "the perennial claim of anti-Semitism I fully deny," and said that he was just "following a call by representative of Palestinian civil society to boycott Israel in a very similar tactical frame as South Africa."

Rick Fitzgerald, a University of Michigan spokesman, told Fox News "the university has consistently opposed any boycott of Israeli institutions of higher education," and added that "injecting personal politics into a decision regarding support for our students is counter to our values and expectations as an institution." 

Anti-Semites apparently only want to boycott Israel for the things they can get elsewhere or that they really don't need. Otherwise, they'll pretend the item didn't come from Israel. The video below should assist these idiots in the boycott process.

The university said earlier in a statement that it was "disappointed" in Cheney-Lippold and will engage faculty "in deep discussions to clarify how the expression of our shared values plays out in support of all our students."

The university's leadership, including the president and provost, have publicly denounced boycotts, divestment and sanctions (BDS) against Israel. The Board of Regents rejected a pro-BDS proposal last November, but it passed the student government because students are taught by leftist professors who tend to be pro-Palestinian in contrast to the rest of the country.

Last year, Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder signed into law a bill prohibiting boycotts against individuals or public entities of a foreign state.

Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt tweeted about the incident:

Not acceptable. A student striving to learn and further their education should never be a victim of political bias. The university needs to publicly clarify it opposes the academic boycott of Israel."

The school needs to hire a few more conservative professors too. That would "diversify" the thinking, which the left claims to support.

Canada pulls diplomats' families over mystery illness

Cuba -- Sky News reports that Canada pulled the families of their diplomats from the Cuban embassy due to a mysterious illness that affects the brain. The embassy will be designated an unaccompanied post now that diplomats will have to live there alone.

The Havana post now mirrors those in Iraq and Afghanistan as being too dangerous for families of diplomats.

Canadian officials will also consider bringing up to 15 staff home if they are not considered crucial to the diplomatic mission.

Ten Canadians, including children, have been affected by the illness. The symptoms noted are headaches, nose bleeds, short-term memory loss, hearing loss, nausea and dizziness.

Canadian researchers discovered that some of those affected heard a "novel localized sound at the onset of symptoms in their homes or hotel rooms," usually described as "intensely loud, and with a pure and sustained tonality."

Twenty-four diplomats have also been affected, beginning in 2016. Canada decided to cut its Havana staffing by two-thirds in October, due to the problem.

Former secretary of state Rex Tillerson called the attacks, at the time, "targeted attacks."

Canadian officials said there haven't been any incidents since 2017 but families who have returned to our frozen neighbors to the north continue to suffer symptoms, sometimes improving before their symptoms return once more.

The cause is unknown but initial suggestions by American experts  of a sonic attack or psychosomatic causes have been deemed unlikely. Air and water have also been tested with negative results.

University of Michigan computer scientists believe the symptoms may be due to eavesdropping devices and the ultrasonic distortion they produce, which can be harmful.

Global Affairs Canada said medical specialists who examined the sufferers had "raised concerns for a new type of a possible acquired brain injury." The added: "Additional research is needed to better understand this. The cause remains unknown  but could be human-made."

No tourists have fallen ill and Canadian officials believe Cuba is safe for holiday visitors.

The Cuban government claims it doesn't know the cause of the illness and has been working with the U.S. and Canadian officials to look into the matter.

Michigan lawmakers want to suspend or expel students who infringe on First Amendment

Perhaps the U.S. Constitution still counts for some people, particularly those of us who believe in freedom of speech. It's one thing to have a different opinion than another person, and it's okay to express that opinion, but it isn't okay to suppress the speech of that person either by rioting or in some way preventing that person from speaking, as happened to Ann Coulter at Berkeley recently.

In Michigan, students who repeatedly infringe on free speech on campus may face a year suspension and possibly expulsion if a new law introduced in the statehouse passes.

The law is known as Campus Free Speech Act and comes on the heels of recent events, particularly the aforementioned Coulter speech at the University of California at Berkeley. It was scheduled for late April, but was canceled due to 'safety concerns.'

The lead sponsor of the legislation is Sen. Patrick Colbeck (R-MI). He said that he hopes the legislation would prevent "shout-down vetoes" of controversial campus speakers in Michigan.

"You have a right to express your concern with [a speaker], but you don't have the right to shut them down during the actual speech . . . It's time we look at people who are prohibiting free speech rights, not trying to use that right," the Senator told Heat Street. 

The Campus Free Speech Act would permit those who are silenced to take civil action against those who kept them from speaking.

If, as in Ann Coulter's case, a  speaker was already invited to speak on campus or group facility and then disinvited, "they'd have some mechanism to regain that financial loss," Colbeck explained.

The legislation would apply to 15 universities and 28 community colleges in Michigan, including the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor where not only Ann Coulter attended, but so did Madonna, Gerald Ford and Jack Kevorkian.
