Julian Castro throws his hat into the ring for 2020

Former U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary and far-left Julián Castro formally announced his presidential campaign on Saturday at an event in Texas.

He stated, “You see, I learned from my mother so many years ago in this community that when we want change, we don’t wait for change. We work for it. When my grandmother got here almost 100 years ago, I am sure she never could have imagined that just two generations later, one of her grandsons would be serving as a member of the United States Congress and the other would be standing here with you today to say these words — I am a candidate for President of the United States of America.”

Those who approve of his 90 percent! tax recommendation said, "Whoo hoo," and other intelligent responses to the announcement. Seriously, he wants ninety percent of every dollar you make. That should get him the votes of people who don't work for a living.

Castro, 44, also served as the mayor of San Antonio, Texas from 2009 until he joined Obama’s cabinet in 2014.

He was also famously considered a frontrunner to be former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s running mate in 2016, but she ultimately went with Senator Tim Kaine because Castro was even lefter than she was then.

Castro is the identical twin brother of Joaquín Castro, who currently represents Texas’s 20th congressional district, but sometimes pretends to be Julián. Based on both of their political ideologies, it is possible they are also related to Fidel Raul Castro, but without the blatant murdering of citizens.

Castro will fight for the Democratic nomination against a garbage scow of other Democrats, including Hawaii Representative Tulsi Gabbard who announced her formal bid on Friday.

So far, the biggest name to throw her hat in the ring is Elizabeth "Echoes of Beer Thunder" Warren. She made the announcement slightly over a week ago that she had launched an exploratory committee.

Other leftists have also announced but I will not bother you with that nonsense.

It's a new year and the world still hasn't come to an end with President Trump in the White House, in spite of what the media and the left [but I repeat myself] would have you believe.

Fidel's ashes stoned

Santiago de Cuba -- Fidel Castro's ashes have been entombed in a huge stone next to national heroes. Cuba has now entered a new era--hopefully a better one--now that he communist murdering dictator is finally dead.

His brother, President Raul Castro, placed his brother's urn inside the tall monolith near the mausoleums of 19th Century Jose Marti and Castro's commie comrades of the rebellion in Santiago de Cuba.

Raul flipped a military salute at the private ceremony attended by his family and some foreign dignitaries, including fellow communists from Venezuela and Nicaragua.

Nobody laughed or even smiled.

"There were no speeches. It was very simple. There were just the ashes that were interred, the family, the government and officials," French Environment Minister Segolene Royal said. She had been criticized by her own countrymen for defending Castro's human rights record (which in itself, is an oxymoron).

The funeral lasted one, long agonizing hour and marked the end of the mandatory nine days of national mourning, encouraged by the government, flooded the streets, pulled out nose hairs to facilitate lacrimation

Green Party's Jill Stein was unable to attend the funeral due to anti-American commitments.

Buena salida, Fidel!

"El Sexto" Maldonado, Cuban artist, badly beaten for mocking Castro

Dear Reader (and those who are having this read to them):

I hope you're reading this sitting down. What I'm about to reveal to you is not only shocking, it's practically unbelievable. If it doesn't send chills up your spine, you may be missing a spine.

Cuban graffiti artist Danilo "El Sexto" Maldonado, who was picked up by Cuban authorities on Saturday after mocking Fidel Castro's death, was not treated well at the Guanabacoa detention center by the guards. In fact, he was beaten badly, his family claimed.

Now I'm not saying that his girlfriend Alexandra Martinez, 24, was lying when she told the media that "Danilo's mom saw him . . . He was badly beaten upon entering Guanabacoa and suffered a severe asthma attack." But maybe El Sexto's mother was lying to Alexandra.

What we do know for sure is that authorities confiscated his personal cell phone. Maybe they didn't want him messing around playing Solitaire.

But why would they beat him? After all, this is the Castro dictatorship--even Colin Kaepernick thinks they're swell guys. I mean how wrong can an NFL losing quarterback be? And let's not forget, they improved education on the island even though poverty hit the roof.

We know that Maria Victoria Machado, Danilo's mom, was allowed to visit him at a Guanabacoa police station outside of Havana once he was detained Saturday morning. But for them to call an action by Cuban State Security a "kidnapping" is not very nice.

They would never do such a thing with his mom there--they'd get in big trouble.

Here's what happened: After learning of Fidel's timely death Friday night, El Sexto went around Havana and drew a couple of harmless graffiti images with his signature and the words "Se fue" (He's gone) on a wall at Hotel Habana Libre, an iconic joint where Fidel took up temporary residence in 1959 after his triumphant entrance into the city with his band of gay marauding rebels and brother Raul.

The graffiti artist also posted a video on Facebook mocking Fidel's death and urged people to "come out to the streets . . . and ask for liberty."

What's so bad about that--Raul wouldn't torture him for something so innocent as asking for liberty? Would he? I believe Colin wouldn't think Raul would act in such a mean way to someone who wanted to express himself.

It wasn't like he was wearing a tee shirt with Osama bin Laden on it.

Since getting a free ride by police, Danilo was transferred to no less than 3 police stations in Havana--probably trying to find one that best suited his needs.

Alexandra said he was being charged with damaging public property [worth over 43 pesos] but no official charges have been issued at this time.

Several human rights organizations are calling for his immediate release but Colin Kaepernick isn't worried about it. He knows the Castro regime had to break a few eggs to make an omelette.

Cry or die for Fidel

The entire island looks like it's in mourning over the loss of their supreme dictator Fidel Castro. People are crying their eyes out after pulling out nosehairs to get the tears to flow.

The moment President Raul Castro announced the death of his older brother last Friday night, everything was closed down: music ceased, discos and movie theaters emptied out and closed, bars and restaurants were told to severely restrict the sale of booze. Smiling was forbidden and the expression, "Good night" was put on hold.

Hundreds of thousands of Fidelophiles paid homage to the Communist murderer in Revolution Square. Sombre students stood in front of the University of Havana ("Go Sugarcane Pickers!") on Sunday, acting as a silent honor guard for Fidel, carrying banners with slogans such as: "Thanks for the Medical Care--Not So Much for the Killings" and guarding a temporary monument at Fidel's alma mater.

What was less noticeable was the trembling hands and beads of sweat upon the foreheads of the students who, if they refused to participate, would be imprisoned, tortured and eventually killed by Raul's army of revolutionaries.

Leftists love revolutions; they even love the word 'revolution'. Think of Bernie Sanders in his thick, Brooklyn accent tawking about how this country needs a revolushin.'

Cubans old enough to remember their island's Revolution and the early years of commie nation building may have actually felt grief for Fidel, but the 9-day state-imposed mourning period really sucks for those with less kinder memories of the thug and murderer the left so loves to love. (I can see the "Fidel n' Che" tee shirts jumping off the counters in Manhattan.)

"You need to be very careful about what you say," a Havana artist who asked to remain anonymous told FNL. "Any opinion that isn't in line with the national mourning can have consequences."

Sounds a lot like North Korea when Kim Jung-il died.

Fidel Castro still dead, leftists still suck

With America-loathing U.S. leftists mourning the death of Cuban dictator Fidel Castro by burning American flags in memory of his hatred for us (because they are totally free to do so) and telling us what a great guy that murderous slimeball was, a Cuban graffiti artist is now in jail because, unlike the USA, he cannot freely express himself on the Communist island.

Cuba, a country where the average weekly income is a whopping 584 pesos (or about $24.30 US) was run into the ground by the Fidel Castro, who accrued about $900 million as "Presidente para toda la vida." Many people were murdered by the Castro regime, many fled and died on the water, and some have lived to tell the story of Cuba.

Danilo Maldonado, the jailed artist, tells his story through his art. His story is one of communist opposition. And now, because he posted signs and drawings about the former scumcrumpet and his death, he has been arrested, according to his girlfriend Alexandra Martinez.

Martinez spoke to Maldonado from her home in Miami before he was taken from his home and incarcerated, she told FoxNews.com

Danilo chanted "Abajo Fidel, abajo Raul" ("Down with Fidel, down with Raul").

Martinez told Danilo that she would tell his story. "I said 'I love you, I'm telling everyone'" she explained. Maldonado had been trying to get permission to visit Miami this week to participate in an art event. Obviously, he was denied, in spite of the reports that citizens can now leave the enchanted commie island and travel where countries will allow them to enter.

Maldonado, 33, also known as "El Sexto" on social media, spent 10 months in prison about a year ago after posting a photo of 2 pigs with "Fidel" written on one and "Raul" on the other.

Martinez said that Danilo's mother tried to visit him in jail known to hold political prisoners, but the Cuban government wouldn't allow the visit. It is noteworthy that Maldonado has not been charged as yet.

Martinez said that Danilo's mother, Maria Victoria Machado Gonzalez, told her that she witnessed security personnel beat and drag her son as they took him to the police station.

This is the government the left praises and makes the "you gotta break a few eggs to make an omelette" excuse for the murder and brutality of the Castro government.

"El Sexto has become a prominent target of the Cuban regime because his graffiti art is one of the elite's most feared methods of protest as it exposes their true nature," Thor Halvorssen president of Human Rights Foundation said in a statement on the HFR's Facebook page.

"El Sexto's art unmasks the tyranny in ways white papers and press accounts cannot. Now that Castro will receive a pompous farewell, the regime will take measures to silence all voices for democracy and to drown out calls for reform," he added.

Amnesty International declared Maldonado a prisoner of conscience. Human Rights Foundation awarded him the Vaclav Havel Prize for Creative Dissent.

Obama awarded Fidel Castro with excuses.

And Justine Trudeau Canada's PM, is a Clinical Idiot and awarded Castro with love and praise.

Obama refuses to accept Cuban history

President-elect Trump said the death of Fidel Castro "marks the passing of brutal dictator."

"Castro's legacy is one of firing squads, theft, unimaginable suffering, poverty and the denial of fundamental human rights," he said and expressed optimism for the future of Cuba after almost 60 years of communist oppression.

"It is my hope that today marks a move away from the horrors endured for too long and toward a future in which the wonderful Cuban people finally live in the freedom they so richly deserve," Trump added, and assured that his administration will do everything it can to" ensure the Cuban people can begin their journey toward prosperity and liberty."

On the far left side of the aisle known as socialism, Obama said "We extend a hand of friendship to the Cuban people. History will record and judge the enormous impact of this singular figure on the people and the world around him . . . For nearly six decades, the relationship between the United States and Cuba was marked by discord and profound political disagreements."

In his blathering ideological stupidity, Obama argued that 'history' will be Castro's final 'judge.' He took Cuba off the state-sponsored terrorist list last year in spite of the continued human rights violations that continue to this day.

So let's consider a little Cuban history.

The Cuban Revolution began in July 1953 against Cuban President Fulgencio Batista and ended in January 1959.

Fidel and Raul Castro gathered 123 Movement fighters and planned multiple military installation attacks. On July 26, 1953 they attacked Moncado Barracks in Santiago and Bayamo Barracks.

The Movement was defeated and Castro's second in command, Abel Santamaria was captured, tortured and killed on the same day.

Soon after, both Castros were also captured and imprisoned. They were put on political trial and Fidel spoke for 4 hours at the trial saying finally: "Condemn me, it does not matter. History will absolve me."

Obama, afraid of "being of the wrong side of history," whatever that's supposed to mean, helped in that matter.

But I digress.

Fidel was sentenced to 15 years in prison and Raul to 13 years. However, under broad political pressure, the Batista administration freed all political prisoners and the Castros left for beautiful Mexico with other exiles.

In June 1955, Castro met and joined forces with Ernesto "Che" Guevara, a sadistic dentist and communist. They formed a group and called themselves the "26th of July Movement" in reference to the Moncada Barracks attack of 1953.

Some say the Castros killed several thousands of Cuban citizens, others say it was a lot more. An article in Quora believes the number may be as high as 100,000.
Che's history

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) whose father was born in Cuba said of Castro's death: "Fidel Castro's death cannot bring back his thousands of victims, nor can it bring comfort to their families. Today we remember them and honor the brave souls who fought the lonely fight against the brutal communist dictatorship he imposed on Cuba."

And if you don't believe that President Obama is a communist, or at the very least, a socialist who sympathizes with communist ideology, then you're not paying attention.

History has already been the final judge of Fidel Castro. Cuba is a poor island nation with huge divides between the elite and the average Cuban.

Check out the Havana Guide for more information on Cuba's poverty crisis to see how well communism and the Castro dictatorship has worked out for them so far.

Obama doesn't believe history is about the past--he wants it to be an altered history in the future.

Trump apparently knows what history studies.

$400 Million worth of bad optics

The $400 million in ransom money that isn't ransom money that we paid to Iran in old, unmarked bills, flown to them in the middle of the night, without the public's awareness, was simply a case of "bad optics." That's what the Obama abomination would have us believe.

And if we believe that it wasn't ransom money, you probably believe Hillary and Bill Clinton never told a lie, that Hillary really believes private servers get wiped clean with a cloth, that Benghazi was caused by a video that nobody saw, that James Comey never implied she lied to the American public and that the Tooth Fairy rides on a unicorn.

Bad optics.

That's almost the same as blaming incompetence for your crimes, as Hillary often does.

But Josh Earnest said at a press conference that the money the Obama administration sent to Iran was not ransom.

Just bad optics.

The fact that the money was sent, after it was held by us since 1979, on the same day our four hostages were released, was not a coincidence in spite of it being bad optics.

The Obama administration is famous for bad optics, and I'm not talking about John Kerry on a bike bad optics--much worse.

Obama admitted that it was bad optics when, after speaking to the public about the beheading of journalist James Foley in 2014, he went immediately from the microphone to the golf course. He is seen laughing and basically having a good old time with his golf buddies.

Definitely bad optics.

And then there was the time when Obama was in Cuba and caught on film hanging out with Raul Castro at a ballgame. Not only did it look bad that Obama was hanging out with a cruel, murderous dictator, this all took place in the aftermath of the Brussels attack.

There was another instance of bad optics with Obama and his commie buddies They had another photo op which was shot in front of a "Che" mural. "Che," of course, was Fidel Castro's comrade executioner and the poster-terrorist for Communism.

More bad optics occurred when Obama went to a DNC fundraiser on the same night as the Malaysian jet crash in which 300 people perished.

And on the 45th anniversary of America's moon landing anniversary event, Obama only allowed still photos and banned video from the celebration. Neil Armstrong's widow was in attendance along with the surviving crew.

In 2015, Obama decided to skip the solidarity rally in Paris, in the wake of the Charlie Hebdo terrorist attack. Heads of state from all over the world marched arm-in-arm, but Obama wasn't there and he didn't even have the decency to send Joe Biden as a representative.

Very bad optics.

His trip to Argentina probably should have been put on hold since it came on the heels of the Brussels terrorist attack. But since he already screwed up in Cuba with Castro, baseball and "Che," so one more bad optics moment was no big deal.

The photos in Argentina show the Obamas dancing the tango . . . but not with each other. They're having a grand old time and people in Brussels are being buried.

The question all of this brings to mind is: when do "bad optics" translate into "stupid."

Fidel snarks on Obama

While Brussels was under an Islamic terrorist attack, President Obama was in Cuba with Castro at a baseball game. Obama did "the wave," and never did anything presidential after the attack.

Then he went to Argentina and did the tango.

Okay, we all know about that, but you'd like to think the whole debacle wasn't a total loss. You'd hope that Obama made some inroads with the Communist island. After all, Obama knows communism--his parents and most of his family and friends were Communists .

But just a few days after Obama jetted off to Argentina after his 3-day Cuban visit, the Communist government's newspaper published an op-ed piece by Fidel Castro that attacked Obama.

In the piece, Fidel, 89, wrote of Obama saying, "My modest suggestion is that he reflects and doesn't try to develop theories about Cuban politics."

The visit by Obama was supposed to build momentum in the relationship with the Cuban government and convince them that we no longer have the intention of trying to overthrow the Castro regime. But Fidel's op-ed piece basically mocked Obama's feeble efforts to that end.

Castro broke down Obama's speech, sentence-by-sentence, and engaged in an ex-post facto dialogue with our clueless leader.

Castro pointed out perceived insults from the speech and said that Obama failed to credit the Castro brothers' prohibition of racial segregation when they came to power in 1959. "Obama delivered a speech in which he used the most honeyed words to say: 'It's high time to forget the past, lets's leave the past behind, look to the future, let's look at it together, a future of hope. And it will not be easy, there will be challenges, and to those we will give time, but my stay here gives me further hope of what we can do together as friends, as family, as neighbors, together,'" the dictator Castro wrote.

It seems clear that Fidel has Obama's number when it comes to bull crap. He must realize that Obama believes that his own words are magical, like he thought that going to an Islamic madrassa as a kid in Indonesia would make things good with the Islamic world. But Obama is clueless.

"Nobody should be under the illusion that the people from this noble and selfless country will renounce to the glory and the rights, and to the spiritual wealth it has earned with the development of education, science and culture," Fidel wrote.

Fidel ended his piece with a satirical jab at Obama and his minions over his strong desire to increase business ties with the Cubans. He cites how Obama claims that re-establishing economic ties with the U.S. will be an economic boon to Cuba, whose centrally planned economy has struggled to escape from over-dependence on imports and a chronic shortage of hard currency.

On that note, Castro said that "I warn you that we are capable of producing the food and material wealth we need with the effort and intelligence of our people. We do not need the empire to give us nothing. [did he intend the double negative?]. Our efforts will be legal and peaceful, because it is our commitment to peace and brotherhood of all human beings living on this planet."

Except for the Cuban "brothers" he, Raul and Che killed to get to the dictatorship for which they fought so hard.

BREAKING: Pres. Obama holds own umbrella

BREAKING: President Obama, on his historic visit to Communist Cuba, was caught in a significant rainfall when Air Force One landed at Jose Marti International Airport, in Havana.

Without any military assistance whatsoever, Mr. Obama opened and held his taxpayer-funded umbrella to protect his $5 thousand suit from getting wet from the horrific downpour.

Not surprisingly, Michelle Obama was visibly miffed over the fact that a United States Marine had not been provided for the family to hold umbrellas for them.

Instead, the President, in an unprecedented executive move, held his umbrella over both their heads, causing overt discomfort to the First Lady who is obviously not accustomed to her husband's close proximity.

Of note, Dictator for Life Raul Castro, did not venture out into the rain and ordered his underlings to meet the so-called U.S. President.

Both men later enjoyed a sunny day attending an exhibition baseball game while Brussels was under attack by Islamic terrorists.

In response to the attack, Mr. Obama gave up a full 51 seconds of his communist vacation to condemn the attack with strong words, then continued having fun living out the dream of his father.

Dreams of his communist fathers, uncles and Alinsky

Fulfilling his dream and the dream of his father, President Obama arrived in Cuba where he plans to discuss "Communist Cool"business with Raul Castro, Cuba's President for Life.

Castro did not greet Obama at the airport, but most world leaders also refuse to give him the respect he has yet to earn. Standing in front of a Che Guevera billboard, (Che was a communist strong arm for the Castros who tortured and killed for the cause of communist Cuba) Obama spoke and it would have made both his communist parents proud as well as "Uncle Frank."

Whether that is Frank Marshall Davis, a card-carrying Communist, or Frederick "Delano" Newman, a lifelong socialist and activist, both would have been proud of Obama, the first communist president to visit a communist dictatorship.

Oh, and his mother, another communist, would have also been proud.

Castro has directly challenged Obama to lift more restrictions on the island and give them back the land we use for our naval base in Guantanamo Bay. If the deal Obama did with Iran is any indication of how this so-called president negotiates, he will give back Guantanamo and throw in Florida, if he could.

"This is a new day," Obama said, as he stood alongside Raul at Havana's Palace of the Revolution. He was obviously correct--Monday was a new day and it is likely that Tuesday will be a new day as well.

Castro praised Obama's recent moves to relax controls over Cuba, calling the measures "positive," but in Spanish. But he made it clear, also in Spanish, that the U.S. needs to return our naval base at Guantanamo Bay back to Cuba and lift the trade embargo, and anything else he could do--he said he'd really appreciate it.

On that note, Obama gave Castro a sly wink, as if they had already discussed the Guantanamo thing before.

Regarding the embargo, Castro said "That is essential, because the blockage remains in place, and it contains discouraging elements." The elements he may have been referring to might be a little extra pocket money for the dictators.

They love their money as much as they love their communism, as long as it isn't them who has to do the sharing.

When a reporter questioned Castro about political prisoners, he snidely asked the reporter to provide a list of those prisoners and he would release them by the end of the night. When the reporter handed him the list, he was escorted out of the building and has not been seen or heard from since yesterday.

After Castro answered some questions from other reporters, he quickly ended the news conference saying, "I think this is enough. I'm missing the final episode of Downton Abbey."

Both of the Obama girls and Michelle were treated to individual rolls of toilet paper and a free visit to The Dead Protesters Museum located throughout the island.

Obama's reconnecting to his commie roots

It was like a communist homecoming, a dream come true for President Obama as he arrived in the dictator-run little country of Cuba. There were those who tried to protest his arrival but they were quickly dispatched and incarcerated by the Castro brothers, Obama's brothers in arms.

This is an historic trip in which our American president will give a communist country aid and comfort and in return be given a box of cigars, if he's lucky.

A protest march of homeless American military veterans was scheduled to protest Mr. Obama's trip, but was intercepted and "derailed" in time to assuage any complications of the president's communist journey back to his childhood roots.

Mr. Obama hopes to improve relationships with Cuba and may, in turn, release all sanctions on the little island communist nation. In return, Mr. Obama will be gifted with an original Che Guevera tee-shirt and tooth-removal pliers from the famed communist dentist killer,.

Mr. Obama's so-called wife and two children plan a tour of the island where they will get a first-hand glimpse of the Poverty Museum, a place of pensive repose. The children will be donning $20 thousand dresses for the poverty event.

The president hopes to improve relations with the Cuban leaders and wants to encourage them to make life better for their citizens. In respect of that wish, Raul Castro has invited Mr. Obama to visit the Unicorn Museum where rainbows and ice cream go shooting out of the butts of fairies and dead protesters.

This three-day jaunt follows Obama's announcement last year that his administration and Cuban President Raul Castro's dictatorial government would like to improve diplomatic relations, even though Mr. Castro continues to kill, incarcerate and oppress the Cuban people.

"But hey, that's what Communists often do. It's how they roll, " Mr. Obama opined.

"I believe that the best way to advance American interests and values, and the best way to help the Cuban people improve their lives, is through engagement," Obama said when he announced his tax-payer funded trip last month.

"I've always said that change won't come to Cuba overnight. But as Cuba opens up, it will mean more opportunity and resources for ordinary Cubans. And we're starting to see some progress," Obama told a naive crowd of fans.

When asked by a reporter about what progress he was referring to, the president had the Secret Service take the reporter to an undisclosed location to answer his questions in greater detail, we have been told.

Some Americans, especially Cuban Americans, have negative feelings about Mr. Obama's visit to the land of the Castros. Many have had their businesses taken from them without compensatory renumeration, and some had their family members taken from them, without being told where they were going, and never heard from them again.

But hey, that's what communism is all about.

Hope and change?

Hillary to come out and say it tomorrow

Hillary, of the Clinton line, plans to announce her turn as absolute monarch of the United States on Sunday. She'll be doing it on social media which, for her, is a good idea as it affords her the opportunity to delete that which she doesn't want the American public to see.

After the announcement, don't be surprised if she goes ahead and deletes her entire account--it's how she rolls.

Hopefully, the announcement will be done on Twitter. It's hard to listen to her drone on and on with lie after lie in that flat voice of hers. She talks as if she's trying to make her own echoes in a large stadium. But she can't do that on Twitter in 140 characters and no sound.

Many conservatives may even choose to block her on Twitter and report her for nuisance tweeting or harassment.

It seems as if the presidency has become like a sporting event. Instead of saying, "I was at the stadium when Derek Jeter hit the game-ending single at his last "at bat" of his career;" you might have said, "I voted in the election that the first black man, a devout communist, had won, unfortunately." (If you're a liberal, you`d probably word that a bit differently and you'd be more likely to be reading Slate than Brain Flushings.)

In the horrifying event that Hillary actually gets elected, you could one day say to your grand kids that you were alive when America's first, extremely white woman was elected to the monarchy. By then, however, you might have to tell them this in Farci.

Hillary`s win would be a first in political history, and that's what sports is all about--the statistics is the historical side of sports. Being the first woman, black man, Muslim, or gay, (but never a gay Muslim) would be historical. People want to be part of that nonsense because it makes them feel that they too are a part of the history that took place.

President Obama, on the other hand, is meeting with Cuba's supreme dictator, the very communist Raul Castro. This will be the first time in 50 years an American president has met with a Cuban commie dictator, an event Obama calls "historical." It should bring back fond memories of his parents, both of the same political leanings as Raul.

Gee, isn't it great to be able to announce to the world that you're making history? I mean, how cool is Barry?

Do you think he'll wear his "Che" tee shirt?

Sony, Obama, Castro and Hawaii.

President Obama held his year-end news conference today just before going on a well-deserved vacation in Hawaii on our well-deserved taxes. Okay, so maybe his vacation is yet another vacation by a man who seems to enjoy golf and vacationing than actual work, but our tax dollars are well-deserved and I wish we could keep more of them.

The main issues he addressed were the Sony cyber attack by North Korea (or at least that's who they say is responsible), and the kissing up to Cuba's dictators, Raul and Fidel Castro after 50 years of sanctions.

Obama said he believes Sony "made a mistake" by not releasing "The Interview," a satire about the chubby dictator of North Korea, Kim Jung Un. Our divisive president vowed that the U.S. "will respond," but didn't say just how we will. If I were Kim, I wouldn't be too scared--Obama tends to speak lots of empty words, but does so very nicely. According to Harry Reid, he doesn't even have a Negro accent.

The FBI formally blamed Kim and his regime for the cyber-attack, which Obama mentioned via TelePrompTer. "We will respond," he vowed, and short of shaking a fist, nothing more was outlined. It is highly likely that Mr. Obama will first consult the polls before making any unilateral decision, unlike Kim Jung Un, who has no polls to consult, and all decisions are unilateral and final.

Barack mocked the regime for launching an "all-out assault" over a flick that was simply a satire, but he also went after Sony for being a bunch of pussies. He said that Sony should have spoken to him first, before making any decisions, but it would have been entirely possible for Obama to have called Sony if they didn't make the call to him.

In a patriotic and moving statement that brought many Americans to tears, Obama said: "We cannot have a society in which some dictator some place can start imposing censorship here in the United States."

He did not add, but should have added: "If any censorship is going to be imposed in the United States of America, it's going to be imposed by me and it's going to be imposed over Islam and the Prophet, peace be upon him. Nobody screws with my prophet, peas be up in him."

In a moment of uncharacteristic liberal logic Obama explained that if someone can "intimidate" a company from releasing a satirical movie, "imagine what they start doing when they see a documentary that they don't like or news reports that they don't like." He was, of course, referring to Fox News, which he doesn't like either.

The so-called president said, in typical liberal logic that we will respond "proportionally" in a "place and  time and manner" of their choosing. When any man hears someone say in a fight, that he will respond "proportionally," any man knows the words are being spoken by someone who had never really been in a fight. You don't respond "proportionally," you respond with shock and awe and beat the holy crap out of your attacker so the message is clear and the behavior will cease immediately. Proportionally is for ideologues who believe everything in creation must be handed out equally--oh wait--we also call them Communists.

On the "hug a dictator front," Obama has made his lifetime dream come true: he is courting the Castros.  He will "normalize relations" with Cuba in spite of their killing Americans as recently as 1996. To show his good faith to Fidel and Raul, Obama is releasing three spies, one of whom is a killer. Hey, it's a better deal than we had with Bowe Bergdahl where we released five known jihadist murderers for a traitorous scumbag whose court results are still being kept secret from the public who paid for his defense.

Cuban-American lawmakers of both parties are angry at Obama over this decision. But Obama said that he had no illusions about the Castro regime. "This is still a regime that represses its people," he said, but failed to add, "which, all things being equal, I would do to these dumb voters in all 57 states. They need to be guided by me, someone smarter."
