California Shocked To Learn Mississippi And Texas Didn't Read Their Own Stereotypes

SACRAMENTO, CA — California officials were reportedly stunned Friday after comedian Bill Maher revealed that two states routinely portrayed by coastal elites as giant truck stops with livestock are somehow beating California at the very things California never stops bragging about.

Appearing on Real Time, Maher delivered what witnesses described as "an unauthorized performance review" of California's governing class.

"Democrats, these are your issues: education, race, the environment," Maher said. "And I say this with love: you’re losing to the Waffle House, car-on-the-lawn states."

The remarks sent thousands of California bureaucrats scrambling to verify whether Mississippi still existed before being informed that it does, and that its students can apparently read.

Maher highlighted education results showing Mississippi outperforming California, causing several education consultants earning six-figure salaries to immediately schedule emergency meetings to discuss the importance of not measuring educational outcomes.

"Did you know that a Black fourth grader in Mississippi is two and a half times as likely to be proficient in math and reading as one in California?" Maher said. "Mississippi is kicking our ass in education and for way less money. We’re 37th in fourth-grade reading. They’re ninth."

California officials responded by announcing a new task force to investigate whether reading scores are racist.

The situation became even more uncomfortable when Maher turned to renewable energy, one of California's favorite topics after reminding everyone how much they care about renewable energy.

"Texas has passed California in solar and blows away California when it comes to wind and energy storage," Maher said. "How does a state with no pro-climate policies produce better climate results than a state where here, even though we have so much better bumper stickers on our Priuses?"

Experts say Texas achieved the feat by committing the radical act of allowing things to be built.

"I’ll tell you why," Maher said. "Because you’re allowed to build there. Because every third person in Texas isn’t someone whose job it is to make sure nothing gets done."

The comment reportedly caused widespread panic among California permit reviewers, environmental impact consultants, deputy assistant regulators, associate compliance officers, and members of the State Commission for Reviewing Applications to Review Applications.

Maher later pointed to the political machine he believes is slowing the state down.

"That would be the unions, the bureaucrats, the lawyers, the consultants, the regulators and all the special interest friends who make living in this state such a frustrating, maddening experience," Maher said. "It’s why the railroads don’t get built, the potholes don’t get filled, the homeless don’t get housed, the kids don’t learn."

State officials rejected the criticism and announced plans to spend another $4 billion studying why projects never get completed.

Maher also took aim at Republican lawmakers suddenly discovering concerns about President Trump after deciding not to seek reelection.

"Recently, the press has gotten very excited about some Republican senators who've had just about enough of Trump's shenanigans. Yeah, ‘cuz they're retiring."

He later referenced Sen. Mitch McConnell's occasional criticisms of Trump, adding, "I just wish he talked that way when he was alive."

At press time, California had unveiled a new $12 million awareness campaign reminding residents that while Mississippi may have better reading scores and Texas may generate more renewable energy, neither state has nearly as many lawn signs informing neighbors of the correct opinions to hold.

And tons more LGBTQ+QRST#$* flags than ole Miss.

Illegal alien learns his fate for sending child porn on Facebook

Photo: Chris Dilts

A Mexican national living in the United States illegally was sentenced to more than 10 years in prison for distributing and receiving child pornography on Facebook, the Justice Department announced.

Adolfo Raul Vasquez-Santana, 32, of Southaven, Mississippi, was sentenced to 121 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release for using Facebook Messenger to send and receive child sexual abuse material. The court also ordered him to pay $14,000 in penalties.

Local police began investigating after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Homeland Security Investigations, a division of ICE, pursued federal charges after determining that Vasquez-Santana was living in the United States illegally.

ICE placed an immigration detainer on Vasquez-Santana, and he is expected to face deportation after completing his prison sentence, according to authorities.

“HSI is committed to protecting children from predators who use technology to exploit them. When we received information about Vasquez-Santana, our agents acted quickly to investigate, arrest, and bring this individual to justice. We remain vigilant against child predators and will continue to pursue these offenders wherever they operate,” Matt Wright, acting Special Agent in Charge for HSI New Orleans, said.

“Our partners at Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) will ensure that once the defendant completes his federal sentence, he is removed from the United States and unable to pose further risk to our communities,” he added.

The case was prosecuted as part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative that the Justice Department says “marshals the full resources of the Department of Justice to repel the invasion of illegal immigration” and “achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations.”

Authorities said the case was also pursued under Project Safe Childhood, a national initiative established to fight sexual exploitation of children.

“Child pornography is a plague,” U.S. Attorney Leary said. “Children are victimized not only through the production of obscene material, but through its continual distribution. Somehow, this debauchery has gained a foothold in our society. We need the public’s help. Please, when you see something troubling, let law enforcement know – we will respond.”

Another illegal alien off our streets and on his way out for good after doing his time. Good work by HSI and ICE.

Deport them all.

Self-proclaimed "Mother of the Year" punches female umpire at kids' softball game

A black woman in Mississippi who loves her kid so much that when a female umpire made a call she disagreed with, she went onto the field and punched the ump in the face. Not only did she show her child how much she loves her with her behavior and her shirt, she taught her kid that violence causes silence.

Police said that Kiara Nichelle Thomas punched umpire Kristi Moore in the face after a youth softball game and left the her with bruising, abrasions and a shiner.

According to reports, the Mother of the Year was previously asked to leave the youth game for her potty mouth screaming. She waited for the end of the game and attacked as Ms. Moore was leaving the field.

Moore told WLBT-TV that she has been an umpire for ten years and she was filling in for a friend that day.

"It’s ridiculous," Moore said. "The verbal abuse. And even now, the physical abuse now, at this point, and enough is enough. I also staff every USFA tournament in the state of Mississippi with umpires, and it gets harder and harder to staff these tournaments because no one wants to listen to the verbal abuse and run the risk of what happened to me happening to them."

Thomas was arrested and charged with simple assault and behavior unbecoming of Mother of the Year.

Moore took to Facebook, where she went into greater detail about her feelings on the incident. The responses she received were very supportive, but the music in the YouTube video was soothing and calming.

Thomas should have listened to the music before going to the game. She sounds like a real 'mother,' but not of the year.

Where's the outrage over murder of cheerleader?

Jury selection began Monday in the trial in which Quinton Tellis, as 29-year-old man, is accused of dousing Jessica Chambers, a 19-year-old former high school cheerleader with a flammable liquid and lighting her on fire, then leaving her to die along a back road in north Mississippi on December 6, 2014.

Tellis faces life in prison and has pleaded not guilty to the charge of first degree murder.

The trial opens Tuesday morning in Batesville as jurors will be selected on Monday in Pike County, along the southern border with Louisiana.

Prosecutors are expected to call more than 40 witnesses and the trial could last as long as two weeks.

Jessica Chambers was found by firefighters outside her burning car on a back road in Panola County's Courtland community on the evening of Dec. 6, 2014. She

She died hours later at the Regional Medical Center at Memphis after having been burned over 98 percent of her body.

John Champion, District Attorney of Panola County, said that he believed this was a "personal crime" because Tellis and Chambers knew each other. It was not related to drug or gang activity, although 17 suspected gang bangers were arrested as a result of the investigation.

The prosecutor has not yet revealed to the media what Chambers told firefighters when they found her.

Tellis has prior convictions for burglary and fleeing police. He was released from prison October 2014, just two months before the Chambers murder. He also faces another murder indictment in Louisiana where he's accused in the torture death of Meing-Chen Hsiao, a 34-year-old Taiwanese graduate student who was attending the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

The indictment alleges that Tellis likely stabbed Hsiao over 30 times in her face and body to get her to reveal her debit card PIN before killing her on July 29, 2015. He was extradited to Mississippi from Louisiana in June after pleading guilty to fraudulent use of Hsaio's debit card.

I guess she fell into the knife.

Rev. Al Sharpton is expected to condemn the killing of an innocent white woman and Taiwanese woman by a black man if he is found guilty, but don't hold your breath.

Suspected killer of 8 nabbed in Mississippi

Brookhaven, Mississippi -- A suspect, Willie Corey Godbolt, 35, who shot 8 people, including 36-year-old William Durr, a deputy sheriff, is now in police custody.

Durr was responding to a call when he was shot.

Warren Strain, a spokesman for the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations said the shootings took place at three different homes Saturday night in Lincoln County.

Charges have not yet been filed against the suspect, Strain saying that it would be "premature" at this time to discuss motive.

It isn't known whether the suspect knew his victims before he was alleged to have killed them.

Two of the victims were boys. Three females and the deputy were killed at one location and more bodies were found elsewhere: the two boys at one location and a man and woman at the third location.

The local newspaper, The Clarion Ledger, reported that the suspect appeared to be lucid. "I ain't fit to live, not after what I done," he said, adding that he'd been talking to his wife and members of her family when someone called the police.

"I was having a conversation with her stepdaddy and her mama and her, my wife, about me taking my children home. Somebody called the officer, people that didn't even live at the house. That's what they do. They intervene. They cost him his life," Godbolt said, apparently about the slain deputy. "I'm sorry."

He said that he didn't intend to be taken alive. "My intentions was go have God kill me. I ran out of bullets. Suicide by cop was my intention."

Godbolt is being treated for a gunshot wound at a Jackson hospital and it isn't clear that he has been charged at this time.

Black artists want Whitney Museum to destroy work of white artist

Black artists are protesting a painting by a white artist, Dana Schutz of New York. They claim she is racially insensitive and they should know because they are black and she is white.

The work in question is titled "Open Casket" (2016) and is based on a famous photo from the funeral of Emmett Till, a 14-year-old African American child who was lynched in Mississippi in 1955.

Till was falsely accused of flirting with a white woman and the racists beat him and lynched him.

The Schutz painting depicts the teen's body lying in an open coffin; his face is mutilated and his chest is turned toward the viewer. His mother requested an open coffin so that all could witness the horrible brutality of the racist attack of which he was a victim.

The painting is currently on display at the 2017 Whitney Biennial of Friday. Several black artists physically took turns standing in front of the artwork for several hours to block it from being viewed by the public.

One artist, Parker Bright, (whose surname is obviously an oxymoron) wore a t-shirt with the slogan "Black Death Spectacle" on the back and "No lynch mob" on the front.

"I wanted to confront people with a living, breathing black body," he told The Guardian

British-born Hannah Black penned an open letter to museum curators regarding the appropriation of black suffering by white artists as another example of systematic racial oppression. She not only wants the painting to be removed, she wants it "destroyed" and "prevented from entering any market of museum."

If you use the appropriation argument, then you would believe that Black's work and the work of other non-white individuals should not be allowed to be hung in museums if the medium is in acrylics.

Acrylics were invented in 1934 by German chemical company BASF and patented by Otto Rohm and Otto Haas. Both Ottos were white.

If Hannah Black or any other non-white artist uses oil-based paint for their work, they are appropriating the invention of that medium from Flemish artist Jan van Eyck (1390 - 1441). They need to cease and desist.

Then there's the stone carvings that are so ancient, we can only trace them back to the Greeks, India, Egypt and most of Europe. Africa is not in the mix, so if you're black, you ought not to be working in stone.

"The subject matter is not Schutz's," Black posted on Facebook. "White free speech and white creative freedom have been founded on the constraint of others, and are not natural rights. The painting must go."

Now that's presumptuous of Hannah Black.

The subject medium did not originate in black culture. Acrylics, oils and stone as a medium for art have been used first by whites, Egyptians and Indians, not by Africans.

But so what?

The argument I'm making is just as ridiculous as the argument that one culture cannot use another culture as their subject matter. Our country has become divided all too much and these black artists would only divide us more if we give in to their demand that we destroy another artist's work.

Personally, I don't feel responsible over what white racists have done in the past and making it a current issue only exacerbates the divide we face in this country.

I feel angry and upset with racism and it's obvious that racism goes both ways.

Poor misunderstood killer shot dead

Rafael McCloud, 34, simply wanted to regain his freedom after being incarcerated for murder in Mississippi. Last week, the poor, misunderstood young man, left the prison in an unauthorized manner and traveled to Vicksburg.

Rafael entered a home without permission and tied up a family who did not want to allow him to come in out of the weather. This caused a minor altercation, possibly started by the homeowner who may have been racist (this is being investigated by Democrats).

The man homeowner was stabbed in the shoulder, and his wife also sustained minor injuries when they tried to stop Rafael from simply seeking shelter.

Raf (a name his dear mom liked to call him) was outnumbered by the homeowners but fought bravely and tied them up. The homeowners also had an infant but Rafael was not the type of misunderstood person to hurt a baby, so the toddler was untouched.

The entire incident inconvenienced Mr. McCloud for three hours.

Somehow one member of the family managed to free him or herself of the bonds. Unfortunately for Raf, the homeowners were  right wing NRA types who, in spite of having a baby on the premises, kept a gun in the house.

How unconscionable can anyone be?

Once the homeowner was free, he or she shot Rafael in the head and the bullet miraculously struck  him in the brain, killing him.

Black Lives Matter is planning a rally for Raf later this week. It will be covered live by MSNBC, CBS, ABC, CNN and Al Jazeera.

Unfortunately, Fox News will not be there as all of their resources are going to be tied up covering Donald Trump.
