Abdul El Sayed's Campaign of "Getting Money Out of Politics" Depends Heavily on Father in Law Tied to Muslim Brotherhood Linked Organization

One of the more curious habits of modern politics is the insistence that we ignore patterns which, in any other context, would immediately invite scrutiny. We are told that connections do not matter, associations are merely historical accidents, and family ties become irrelevant precisely when they are politically inconvenient.

That indulgence is now being extended to Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El Sayed. And just because his father-in-law has help fund terrorist organizations is no reason to worry where El Sayed's heart lies.

A review by the Washington Free Beacon found that El Sayed's father in law, Dr. Jukaku Tayeb, is both one of the largest financial backers of the super PAC supporting El Sayed's campaign and a longtime senior figure within the Islamic Society of North America, or ISNA, an organization federal prosecutors identified during the Holy Land Foundation terrorism financing case as a public facing component of the Muslim Brotherhood's American network.

Tayeb has contributed $200,000 to the Fighting for Michigan PAC, nearly half of the group's fundraising total through the end of March. This might be considered what is often referred to as financial jihad, as it helps fund jihad causes.

His financial support would already merit attention. His organizational affiliations make the story considerably more significant.

According to ISNA's own publications, Tayeb has served on the organization's 20 member founding committee since at least 2007. Membership on that committee is not ceremonial. Founders are expected to contribute at least $5,000 annually while also supporting the group's Founders Legacy Fund.

Federal prosecutors identified ISNA as an unindicted co-conspirator during the landmark Holy Land Foundation trial, the largest terrorism financing prosecution in American history. That case resulted in convictions after prosecutors demonstrated that more than $12 million had been funneled to Hamas through charitable fronts. One of the federal prosecutors, you may recall, was Andy McCarthy, who put the "Blind Sheikh" (Omar Abdel-Rahman) behind bars.

Government filings also identified ISNA as one of several organizations "who are and/or were members of the US Muslim Brotherhood."

This was not a passing allegation or an abandoned theory. This was big guns, or rather sharp swords, to be more precise.

In a 2009 ruling, a federal judge concluded that the Department of Justice had presented "ample evidence" connecting both ISNA and the Council on American Islamic Relations, or CAIR, to Hamas during the litigation.

The court noted that the Holy Land Foundation and ISNA shared banking arrangements and cited evidence showing checks deposited into those accounts were frequently made payable to "the Palestinian Mujahadeen," the original name used by Hamas's military wing.

The ruling also referenced a now well known 1991 memorandum from the Muslim Brotherhood's Shura Council describing its American strategy as "a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and sabotaging its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions."

These are not the inventions of political opponents. They are findings and evidence introduced during one of the most consequential terrorism financing cases in modern American legal history.

Lorenzo Vidino, director of George Washington University's Program on Extremism, offered little ambiguity regarding ISNA's origins.

"ISNA was historically, no question, an organization created … by the Muslim Brotherhood and fellow travelers from the Indian subcontinent as basically the Islamist organization in America."

He added that Tayeb remained active during years "when they were putting out some really nasty stuff."

"To be on the founding committee, this is the elders of the organization."

Tayeb's involvement did not end there.

IRS records show he served as president of CAIR Michigan from 2005 through 2010 and remains on its board of directors. Like ISNA, CAIR was named as an unindicted co conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation prosecution.

Vidino described the overlap as entirely predictable.

"This is kind of the pattern," he explained. "To some degree, it's a good old boys network. And so, if you're on the board committee in ISNA, chances are you also belong to your local CAIR branch. Chances are you sit on the board of another charity that is part of the network. That's kind of how it works."

Former federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy argued that these relationships have long been visible.

"It’s been obvious since the 1970s that the Muslim Students Associations and ISNA … have very strong ties to the extreme fringes of the Democratic Party."

Meanwhile, El Sayed campaigns beneath lawn signs declaring that he wants to push "money out of politics."

His rhetoric frequently targets AIPAC, which he accuses of attempting to "buy off government" to "make sure that our money is sent abroad to kill other people."

Yet while condemning outside money, the super PAC sustaining his campaign is heavily financed by his own father in law.

His Democratic opponent, Representative Haley Stevens, highlighted the contradiction during last week's debate.

"He's great at covering up that his father-in-law is running his super PAC that's spending millions of dollars for him," Stevens said. "Abdul, you talk about getting money out of politics and putting money in people's pockets. But who is putting money in yours? What are you hiding?"

The questions do not stop with campaign finance.

El Sayed has repeatedly appeared alongside some of the loudest anti Israel activists on the American left, including Hasan Piker, who has infamously declared that "America deserved 9/11."

One of El Sayed's former campaign staffers, Mariam Odeh, was indicted in June for allegedly participating in what prosecutors described as a coordinated campaign targeting Jewish officials, businesses, and organizations connected to the University of Michigan.

Perhaps most revealing was El Sayed's own recorded guidance to campaign staff following the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

"I also want to remind you guys that there are a lot of people in Dearborn who are sad today," El Sayed said. "So, like, I just don't want to comment on Khamenei at all. Like, I don't think it's worth even touching that."

That is an extraordinary statement for any American politician. One might have expected even a minimal condemnation of a man responsible for decades of repression, terrorism, and regional instability. Instead, electoral sensitivities apparently took precedence over moral clarity.

None of this proves Abdul El Sayed shares every belief of his father in law or every historical position associated with ISNA or CAIR. Guilt by association is an inadequate standard.

But neither can serious political journalism pretend these relationships are meaningless.

When a candidate's principal financial benefactor occupies a senior leadership position in organizations repeatedly scrutinized in one of America's largest terrorism financing investigations, and when that candidate consistently avoids condemning Islamist figures while courting activists sympathetic to them, the public has every right to ask difficult questions.

The remarkable thing is that so many in the political and media establishment seem determined to insist the questions should never be asked.

More on Graham Platner: a moron or an evil genius?

So who is Democrat presumptive candidate for U.S. Senate in Maine, Graham Platner? We know he's running in the 2026 primary as a heavy favorite with rival Gov. Janet Mills dropping out, and will face lifer incumbent Sen. Susan Collins this November.

Let's look at some of his history.

As a wrestler previously at Hotchkiss School, a private boarding school in CT, he was expelled due to behavioral issues and refusal to attend class.

He then attended John Baptist Memorial HS in Bangor, Maine in 2003 where he was voted in the yearbook, "most likely to start a revolution."

His military service began with the USMC 2004 to 2008, and later Maryland National Guard from about 2009/2010 to 2011.

In 2005 he was deployed in Iraq's Al-Anbar Province to east Fallujah, then the following year he was deployed to Ramadi as a machine gun section leader at the Government Center. In 2007 after voluntarily extending his service, was a machine gun section leader with Kilo Co. 3/8.

He was honorably discharged from active duty on April 29, 2008 and was awarded with Combat Action Ribbon, Iraq Campaign Medal, GWOT Expeditionary Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (with gold star) and a Good Conduct Medal, which most Marines get unless they shoot another Marine.

His Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) was 0331 Machine Gunner.

He enrolled at George Washington University (GWU) in Washington, D.C., after his initial Marine Corps service, using GI Bill benefits. His attendance in class was sporadic and while a student he worked the same job as AOC, a bartender.

Evidently, Platner's brain was full and he withdrew from GWU without graduating. He had been majoring in History and it's highly likely his professors were socialists or at least, progressives.

He has no bachelor's degree or higher formal education. His background is often described in contrast to his family's more privileged/educated roots (e.g., father is a Dartmouth-educated lawyer), as he chose military service over college right after high school.

Return and final period (2011–2016): He resumed classes while bartending at spots like the Tune Inn on Capitol Hill (popular with congressional staffers). He alternated between academics, military-related obligations, and personal struggles with PTSD, heavy drinking, and disillusionment.

He was exposed to Edward Said’s Orientalism, which shaped his developing anti-imperial and anti-colonial views. [Moron that later.]

A class on the history of Indochina (Vietnam-era conflicts), which led him to draw parallels with U.S. wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, viewing them through a lens of colonial-style justifications and violence.
Initial goals: He planned to study Arabic with the aim of working overseas for the U.S. State Department.

Platner has described inconsistent performance (“I either got As, or I had dropped classes”) amid PTSD, depression, and alcohol abuse. He left in summer 2016 to return to Maine for treatment and recovery. He has cited this period as one of deep personal struggle, during which many of his controversial Reddit posts (under “P-Hustle”) were made.

[Democrats love victims, so this explains a lot about how he got to where he's at.]

Platner got his Nazi tattoo known as Totenkopf or 'death's head' in 2007 in Croatia (specifically mentioned as Split in one account), while serving in the Marine Corps [pronounced 'corpse' by Barack Hussein Obama].

In a June 2019 Reddit post (under the now-deleted account "P-Hustle," which Platner admitted owning), he commented on a helmet-cam video of U.S. Army Pfc. Ted Daniels (a Purple Heart recipient) being shot four times by Taliban fighters in Afghanistan in 2012.

Platner wrote: “This video never gets old. Dumb motherf----r didn't deserve to live. At least his stupidity and fat ass wheezing are available for all future infantrymen to witness and hold in contempt. Poor marksmanship on the Taliban’s part is the only reason this mouthbreather made it home...”

What an American thing to say. What a guy this Platner is.

He has faced significant backlash for this disgusting anti-American comment, especially from us veterans. When confronted by Fox News, Platner did not apologize and instead pointed to his own service record (multiple combat tours), as if that gives him 'asshole immunity' for calling accusations of disrespecting veterans "slanderous and offensive."

Platner has attributed some of his past online rhetoric to post-combat trauma/PTSD from his Marine Corps and Army National Guard service, and he has apologized for other old Reddit posts, but this specific incident has been highlighted in recent coverage of his U.S. Senate campaign in Maine.

So now he blames his PTSD, which seems to make him kind of wishy-washy.

Platner's anti-imperial views stem primarily from his combat experience in Iraq and Afghanistan, combined with intellectual influences during his time at George Washington University.

He frames U.S. post-9/11 wars as "pointless," wasteful, colonial-style adventures that benefit defense contractors and elites while harming American service members, working-class communities, and people in the targeted countries.

During his intermittent studies (history major, ~2008–2016), Platner encountered Edward Said’s Orientalism, which provided an anti-colonial and anti-imperial critique. A class on the history of Indochina (Vietnam era) was pivotal: he drew direct parallels between the justifications, violence, and patterns of those conflicts and U.S. actions in Iraq/Afghanistan.

Evidently, Platner is easily influenced in the leftist direction.

Critique of Hegemony and Elites: Platner describes U.S. militarism as a mechanism to transfer taxpayer money to private interests “on the backs of working-class men and women, and on the backs of the people living in societies that we took the wars to.” He has referred to Washington as an “imperial capital.”

Fight the olagahkee, like Comrade Bernie suggests.

Bernie has been fighting the oligarchy since 1993--that's all he's got

Personal Radicalization: “My time in America’s imperial wars definitely radicalized me further.” He expresses ambivalence—pride in comrades and service, but bitterness toward politicians, brass, and the wars themselves.

Is Platner a socialist?

Not in the sense of advocating for socialism as a system. He once self-identified that way online but currently distances himself and operates within the Democratic Party’s progressive/populist lane, in order to have a political chance of ever getting into office.

Critics who pay attention, still label him a communist/socialist based on the old posts to attack his campaign. Platner’s politics are best described as anti-oligarchy economic populism rooted in his veteran and working-class background, not orthodox communism or socialism.

Trump's task force to visit Columbia and 9 other schools to combat anti-Semitism

The Trump administration's task force slated to combat pro-Hamas Jew-hatred will be visiting Columbia University in New York City and nine other schools that have been supporting Hamas since they massacred around 1,200 Israelis and kidnapped 251 others on October 7, 2023, the DoJ announced Friday.

Leo Terrell, the leader of a special task force and a senior advisor to the assistant attorney general for civil rights, told 10 universities on Thursday that they might have broken federal laws. The Justice Department says these schools didn’t do enough to stop Jewish students and teachers from facing unfair treatment, which is against the law. Terrell explained that his team, made up of people from different government agencies, will talk to university bosses, affected students and workers, local police, and people in the community to learn more about what’s been happening. He’ll also look into whether the schools need to take any steps to fix the problem or punish anyone involved.

"The President, Attorney General Pamela Bondi, and the entire Administration are committed to ensuring that no one should feel unsafe or unwelcome on campus because of their religion," Terrell said. "The Task Force’s mandate is to bring the full force of the federal government to bear in our effort to eradicate Anti-Semitism, particularly in schools. These visits are just one of many steps this Administration is taking to deliver on that commitment."

The Justice Department launched the task force earlier this month "to root out anti-Semitic harassment in schools and on college campuses." It stems from an executive order President Donald Trump signed in January intended to take "forceful and unprecedented steps to combat anti-Semitism."

Four of the schools slated for a visit by the task force—Columbia, the University of California, Berkeley, Northwestern University, and the University of Minnesota—are also facing investigations from the Department of Education, which launched probes into "widespread anti-Semitic harassment" at the schools just two weeks into Trump’s second term. A fifth school, Portland State University, is also part of the investigation but isn’t included in the task force’s visits . . . yet.

Columbia, in particular, has faced ongoing anti-Semitic incidents. On Wednesday, two anti-Semitic student groups—Columbia University Apartheid Divest and Columbia’s Students for Justice in Palestine chapter—led a mob of student Jew haters who stormed a campus building at Columbia’s sister school, Barnard College and clashed with security guards, sending one to the hospital.

The group also held a dean captive, covered up security cameras, broke into an office, vandalized walls, and forced class cancellations. In other words, they committed acts of terrorism but were short of killing anyone at this point in time.

The scum-buckets got off scot-free after the cowardly enabling administration promised not to pursue disciplinary action, and even shielded them from police as they exited the building after occupying it for over six hours. They also agreed to continue negotiations the next day in a private meeting.

It isn't know whether the administration plans to dry clean their keffiyehs, but it shouldn't surprise anyone if they did.

The student radicals were pressuring the Barnard administration to reverse its decision to expel two students who were involved in another anti-Semitic incident at Columbia. The pair were among a group of pro-Hamas agitators who rushed into an Israeli history class and targeted Jewish students with anti-Semitic flyers.

A week later, anti-Israel student radicals dumped cement into a campus building’s sewage system and apparently got away with the dastardly deed.

At Berkeley, a violent protest last year erupted over a scheduled speech by an Israeli lawyer, Ran Bar-Yoshafat, the Free Beacon reported. During the event, which had to be canceled due to the violence, mobs of anti-Semitic students choked a female student attendee, spit in another’s face, and shouted, "Jew, Jew, Jew."

During the anti-Israel protests at Northwestern last year, demonstrators, some of whom were from the Middle East, defaced the Star of David and chanted that Jews should "go back to Germany," even those that were born in the US, among other stupid anti-Semitic incidents.

Northwestern is also giving free legal defense to a group of anti-Israel morons who orchestrated a blockade at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, highlighting a perceived inconsistency in addressing discriminatory practices on campus.

At the University of Minnesota, anti-Israel student radicals stormed a campus building in October, used furniture to barricade exit doors, trapped staff inside, and demanded divestment from the Jewish state, but allow cool Israeli inventions to continue [see video].

Harvard University and the University of California, Los Angeles are also among the universities the task force is visiting.

Jewish students at Harvard accused the Ivy League university of becoming a "bastion of anti-Semitism" in a January 2024 lawsuit

The day after Trump’s inauguration, the school settled the lawsuit, agreeing to discipline students who target "Zionists" and adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s definition of anti-Semitism.

In November, anti-Israel/anti-Semitic protesters chanted, "Zionists are not welcome here," outside of Harvard’s Hillel when it hosted a speech by former Israel Defense Forces spokesman Ronen Manelis. The university also refused to cooperate with law enforcement investigating an assault on a Jewish student last September.

At UCLA, the school’s Students for Justice in Palestine chapter vandalized the home of a Jewish University of California regent on Feb. 5. The university has also faced accusations that it was allowing anti-Semitism to run rampant. In August, a federal judge blasted the university for standing around doing nothing as anti-Semites prevented Jewish students from accessing portions of campus.

The task force will also be visiting George Washington University, Johns Hopkins University, NYU, and the University of Southern California.

Am Yisrael Chai.

500 Mental Health Professionals and Academics: Remove Anti-Semitic Professor

More than 500 mental health professionals and academics have urged George Washington University (GWU) to remove "decolonial" psychology professor Lara Sheehi from her duties while an investigation is taking place over allegations she discriminated against Jewish students and tried to sabotage their careers.

The claims against Sheehi, a pro-Palestinian "Arab" woman, were first made public last month in a civil rights complaint by StandWithUs, a nonprofit that fights anti-Semitism and promotes education about Israel.

The irony is, Sheehi teaches a mandatory diversity course at GWU where she hosted an avowed anti-Semite speaker, which is in the complaint against her. Also, the complaint alleges that she launched a smear campaign against Jewish students and then filed disciplinary charges AGAINST THE JEWISH STUDENTS in retaliation for the Jewish students accusing her of anti-Semitism.

“We call upon GWU to relieve Dr. Sheehi of teaching roles in required courses until this matter is adjudicated,” the letter states. The letter lists Daniel Burston of Duquesne University, Cary Nelson of University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, psychiatrist David. A Sasso, and psychologist Ilene Serline as its principal authors.

“In light of the online material available, if the allegations against Dr. Sheehi are corroborated in part or in whole, this may also cast doubt upon her suitability to train psychotherapists in general.”

Of course Sheehi denies the students' allegations and wrote an essay in CounterPunch of February 3rd that claims she is being targeted “targeted specifically because I am an Arab woman whose scholarship and activism advocates for Palestinians and, in the process, critiques Israeli settler-colonial apartheid.”

So she is claiming victimhood like Hamasshole terrorists who kill Israelis, including children, for killing Hamassholes. No other country on the planet takes as much care to minimize so called collateral damage than Israel.

Leehi also accused George Washington University of lacking “moral fibre” and having “colluded” with StandWithUs and because it opened a third-party investigation of the students’ claims.

She added that analyzing her Twitter account for evidence of her alleged anti-Semitism is “civilizational and sexist discourse.” It's no different for someone to take the words that anyone says as claiming that is what they are saying. Using the victim card in this instance is not sexist nor is it 'civilizational discourse.'

Lawmakers have also expressed concern about Sheehi’s alleged behavior.

Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ), citing the complaint, wrote a letter to US Department of Education (DOE) Secretary Dr. Miguel Cardona asking for the issuance of long promised new Title VI guidance that would protect Jewish and Zionist students from discrimination.

In December, Biden delayed issuing the regulations, which were first proposed in a directive by President Trump in response to rising anti-Zionist discrimination on college campuses and would apply the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism to civil rights investigations.

This may be due, in part, to Biden's quiet racist tendencies to Jews. Blacks, and other people of color.

The proposed guidance will not be instituted until at least December 2023, according to a copy of the proposed rule on the website of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs.

“I have long been a strong proponent of taking all measures necessary to protect students against hate, discrimination, and bigotry — especially Jewish students who face a barrage of anti-Semitism on their college campuses,” Gottheimer wrote. “It is critical that these students not be singled out or made to feel unwelcome, and that universities uphold our values. After a year with historic levels of anti-Semitism, I ask the department to prioritize the rule-making process for Title VI.”

“Professor Sheehi had — and still has — an opportunity to approach this situation by showing a respectful and appropriate concern for her Jewish students,” StandWithUs said on Feb. 10 in response to Sheehi’s essay. “Unfortunately, the shamefully vitriolic and self-justifying remarks she posted suggest no such humility will be forthcoming. Her diatribe makes it even more important that GW and the Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights carry out a thorough and impartial investigation into her conduct in the classroom.”

Based on Sheehi's history of anti-Zionist, anti-Semitic rhetoric, she should be found guilty of singling out Jewish students for academic punishment. Do you agree?

GWU severs ties with terrorist

George Washington University has fired its former al-Qaeda recruiter and researcher who spent three years in U.S. prison. The reason for the firing wasn't because they found out the guy, Jesse Morton, worked for al-Qaeda and hates America, it was because he got caught and arrested on drug and prostitution charges in December.

GWU hired Morton last September as part of its program on extremism, where he studied Islamic radicalization and de-radicalization. But according to university spokesman Brett Zongker, he didn't teach classes or interact with students. He just got a regular paycheck and did his thing as a "consultant" (LOL). Zongker confirmed that on Jan. 2, the jihadist was no longer working for the school but emphasized that "the reasons for his departure are unrelated to his work with the Program on Extremism."

When Morton, now 38, converted to Islam when he was 20 while in prison for drug offenses. While being rehabilitated (LOL) he used his website, Revolution Muslim, to recruit brother scumcrumpets for al-Qaeda and encourage them to commit violent attacks on people who claimed Islam was not the religion of peace and also went after cartoonist and writers of "South Park."

The POS Morton was sentenced to 12 years after pleading guilty to conspiracy to solicit murder along with other charges. He was labeled by prosecutors as a threat to the "very freedoms on which our society is based."

But then he became an informant to the feds and all was forgiven. They released him after less than 3 years in the slammer.

As fate and Allah would have it, Morton was arrested again at a hotel in late December after soliciting a prostitute on Backpage.com. Police officers found drug paraphernalia and cocaine on him when he went to meet who he thought was a prostitute.

The sting used an ad offering sex services place on Backpage.com. Morton replied to the ad and then showed up at the Governor House Inn & Suites in Falls Church, Va. where he was arrested. Police searched his automobile and found cocaine, a glass pipe and other hardware for smoking crack.

It must have been Allah's will or something--maybe he's just stupid.

Anyway, GWU hired him for their Program on Extremism. His job was to research effective methods to de-radicalize potential terrorists of the Islamic persuasion after recruiting countless others in radical Islamic terrorist roles.

He attained a Master's degree in international affairs from Columbia University in 2007 and affiliated himself with radical Islamic groups in New York City. He went by the name Younus Abdullah Mohammad (because every Muslim wants to emulate Mohammad.

The crap weasel started a website known as Revolution Muslim and it became one of the top Islamic radicalization sites on YouTube in the USA. When things got hot for him, he fled to Morocco but was apprehended and extradited back to the U.S. in 2011.

While in prison, he helped federal agents with counter-terrorism operations and was released in 2015.

GWU snatched him up in 2016.

His next court date is in April 2017.

FBI evidently confronted Eric "Boom Boom" Swalwell over the weekend and hoo boy

It has been a rough stretch for former Rep. Eric "Boom Boom" Swalwell . You know, the guy who's known for the fart heard round...
