Obamacare's Dirty Secret

When he said, "If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep your healthcare plan. If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor," he might have just as honestly added: "And if you have religious or moral objections to abortion, you will never have to finance it." That would have been just as honest, as it turns out, because it seems that Obamacare insurance companies are surreptitiously adding a surcharge to cover the cost of abortions. At least, this is what some congressional leaders are claiming, and it violates a federal law. But since when has the Obama administration worried about the law? After all, laws are generated by that outdated and inconvenient document, the US Constitution.

Most people will not know about the surcharge because it wasn't announced and it's only a buck a month--no big deal, unless you're turned off by killing the unborn.

Obama promised his healthcare bill would not cover abortion, but maybe he's doing to further the liberal agenda; it certainly isn't helping the unborn's future agendas. Rep. Joe Pitts (R-PA) knew Obama was blowing smoke when he made that claim because the Obamacare bill stipulated the $1 a month surcharge for plans that covered abortions and it was unclear distinguishing which plans included abortion and the cost of the murder.

A bill is being introduced this week that demands full disclosure with an itemized premium, and it will also prohibit federal subsidies for plans that cover abortions. The bill (HR-7) known as the "No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act," will be introduced by Eric Cantor, the House Majority Leader.

But Obama has a pen and he has a phone. He also has no respect for the concept of Checks and balances--he is a strong believer in executive authority but only when he's the executive in question.

What the GOP does to keep Obama in line, to keep him from grabbing more and more power and keep the USA from resembling a banana republic, will dictate where they stand. Will they show courage or complacency? Obama needs to have his reins pulled back and if he refuses, we need to start impeachment procedures. Will our party leaders fulfill their obligation?

My latest novel, Jihad Joe, is about Islamic terrorism and suspense.  In it I challenge the precepts of the religion through my protagonist, Zed Nill, a journalist, captured by terrorists and who is destined to be killed if the American President refuses to release three Gitmo prisoners.  Of course, American policy demands we never give in to terrorists, and for Zed, the clock is ticking.

Sunday Brain Flush

I have a pen and I have a phone . . . the words of Obama threatening us with unilateral action on policy. Well, Obama also has an ass, it doesn't mean he has to act like one. He acts like everything is an emergency so that he can go ahead and impose policy upon the American people without the checks and balances our country was founded upon. Nobody said it should be easy changing the law. If it was, then we might as well be living in a banana republic.

There needs to come a time when congress steps in and stops this man from acting like he's the king of his kingdom. This is America, and there is no justifiable emergency that makes it understandable to forgo the legislature. Besides, Obama has done nothing of value for this country and there are plenty of elite  career politicians who are in the same category.

Obama is a socialist. Spreading the wealth is a socialist notion. His healthcare legislation is socialist. His background is socialist. And let's face it; Obama is a divider and uses race as one of the cleavers to make his false claims.

But let's not forget the Republicans who vote the liberal line; the RINOs, as they say. McCain is a primary example--he has voted against the Second Amendment and along the liberal lines regarding immigration. Lindsey Graham is another politician who votes in a similar manner. To Graham's credit, he seems to be realistic about Iran and our national security.  In any case, we need to be very mindful how we vote in the midterms and show the GOP that we are serious about conservative values.

Finally, it's my birthday tomorrow, so I probably will take the day off.

Peace, patriots.

Mall Control: the case for banning them all

There was yet another mall shooting in the Columbia, Maryland. Like the mall shooting in Kenya, the mall shooting in New Jersey, this shooting left people scrambling for cover, but three people were left dead; one very likely being the shooter. Two of the dead were store employees, a man and woman, both in their twenties, and at this writing, the identity of the shooter is still unknown. In addition, one other person was wounded by gunfire and four others were hospitalized in the ordeal.

If this doesn't tell you under no uncertain terms that mall control is needed in this country, I don't know what will.

Obama's State of the Union: Unauthorized Version

I was fortunate to get my hands on President Obama's State of the Union speech that he will give next week. It is uncut and unedited.

My fellow folks,

Well, it's a new year and I'm very optimistic that it's gonna be a great one. My signature legislation has finally gotten off the ground and the folks are gonna see better health care than they ever had in the history of this country. (Try to look like you mean it.) The website is working like a well-oiled machine and we're signing up over five thousand people a day. Even I have signed up, (I had a lackey do it for me) but I already have coverage befittin' my position as Commander in Chief.

I know some of you have your doubts, but let me assure you, the doctors you have now and the policy you've been moved to, you will be able to keep. The 59% of you who oppose the Affordable Care Act, are only opposing it because you can't afford it.

Insofar as Benghazi is concerned, let me put your mind at ease and assure you that my administration is getting to the bottom of this situation. Do not allow the extremists from the Tea Party sway your thinking--Benghazi was not a scandal anymore than the IRS, Associated Press, or Fast and Furious were scandals. It's just the way it is--what I'm saying is, that it is what it is.

Iran promises to follow the rules and will not enrich uranium and try their very very best to get along with Israel. In that regard, they will no longer refer to Jews as apes, nor refer to Christians as pigs. However, they will continue to uphold the same policies they've held dear from the Qu'ran when dealing with gays and women. That's okay. That's to be expected from a nation whose religion is the RELIGION OF PEACE (smile and try not to bow)

As you might have heard, Justin Beiber was arrested for drag racin', drinkin' and smokin' marijuana cigarettes. Justin is a Canadian and it would be unconscionable to deport him, so I ask for your support and prayers. You may know that I've indulged in smokin' up when I was a kid and a proud member of the Choom gang. I feel for the Beebs and Michelle and I plan to have him over for dinner when he can make it.

Edward Snowden has done a web forum to address NSA spying. This has been previously addressed by me and I don't care to discuss it further. Suffice it to say, if we can get our hands on Mr. Snowden, he will face felony charges and will have his day in court. Remember, there is a fine balance between national security and the Constitution.

The military will now be allowed to express their religious and cultural beliefs. Jews can wear yarmulkes, Sikhs can wear their hair long and maintain their beard, and Muslims can wear camouflage burqas.

And speaking of security, the Olympics are coming (big smile-lots of teeth). President Putin has assured me that security will be at a maximum. While 1500 square miles around Sochi is vulnerable, I trust that our Russian friends will do a top notch job protectin' our athletes. I just wish my man Magic could be there for the team, but he's a summer Olympic guy. In spite of this, we're sendin' over our own security team who'll be keepin' a close watch out for any trouble that may come from extremists like the Christian right wing loonies I've spoken about.

The economy is hummin' like a hummin' bird's butt. More jobs have been created, the minimum wage is goin' up, and we're gettin' out of Afghanistan soon.  Do not believe what you hear on that other TV station and those crazy right wing nut radio stations. Our next step to make this country better is to join hands with our Muslim brothers and sisters, and create a more level playing field for those of us who are less fortunate. Income redistribution is the only fair way to go (except for me, suckers).

Abortion in America

They braved the cold in Washington D.C. yesterday as tens of thousands of pro-life individuals demonstrated to end abortion in the March for Life. It was the 41st anniversary of Roe v Wade.

There are now more people who are pro-life than those for killing the unborn. Most Americans, about 84%, would limit abortions to the first three months of pregnancy; of those, 58% are strongly pro-choice. A Marist Poll found that 74% of Americans would ban abortions after 20 weeks except to save the life of the mother (a rarity that pro-choice people play upon as if it happens half the time). Many Americans (53%) believe life begins at conception and fully 62% think abortion is morally wrong.

The survey also found that most people believe parents should be notified before an abortion can be obtained for their minor child (abut 80%), and 79% want a 24 hour waiting period to give time to think it over. Fifty-eight percent support the idea of showing the woman an ultrasound image of her baby at least one day prior to the abortion, and 57% believe abortion does a woman more harm than good--the numbers were much higher for the harm it does to the baby.

As of last January, there have been 55,772,015 abortions and the number is obviously a lot higher a year later. From 2011 to 2012, Planned Parenthood (yes, it's an oxymoron) performed 333,964 abortions and generated about $150 million for the slaughter with about $1.2 billion in revenue overall. In the 2011 to 2012 time frame, only 2300 customers were referred to adoption services. Compare that to the number of the dead, and the math is staggering.

“I’ve noticed that everyone who is for abortion has already been born.” –Ronald Reagan

We Didn't Vote for Liberals

Sung to the tune of Billy Joel's, "We Didn't Start the Fire."

Wendy Davis, Hillary, Eric Holder, anarchy
Weiner, Twitter, Zimmer, Moore
Share your wealth and then give more.

We didn't vote for liberals,
They're never realistic
Then they became sadistic,
We didn't vote for liberals,
With their socialist ways
We've seen better days.

Brian Terry, Occupy, Stevens, Smith, Obama's lies,
Tyrone Woods, Glen Doherty,
Obamacare shows nothing's free.

We didn't vote for liberals,
They're never realistic
Then they became sadistic,
We didn't vote for liberals,
With their socialist ways
We've seen better days.

Saul Alinsky, Michelle O, terrorism's gotta go,
Bows in Saudi to the shoes,
No wonder patriots got the blues.

We didn't vote for liberals,
They're never realistic
Then they became sadistic,
We didn't vote for liberals,
With their socialist ways
We've seen better days.

The Inconvenient Facts

Wendy Davis has a lot in common with Michelle Obama: they both cried poverty in order to win public sympathy and perhaps get an election to turn their way. With Michelle, it worked, with Wendy, probably not so much.

Back on September 5, 2012, Joel B. Pollack of Breitbart News wrote an interesting article (Fact Check: First Lady's Fairy Tale of Struggle) about the First Lady and how she lied to the American public to cast herself and Barack in a sympathetic light.

Cowardly Cuomo Gets His Lawyer to Walk it Back

New York Governor, Andrew Cuomo, told pro-life, anti- gay marriage, and pro-assault weapons advocates they are not welcome in New York, ". . . because that's not who New Yorkers are." Evidently, he hasn't met New Yorkers like me, and I've been a New Yorker before he was born.

Cuomo's assertion angered Fox News' Sean Hannity enough that he threatened to leave New York: "Governor Cuomo, I'm going to leave and I'm taking all my money with me--every single solitary penny."
