Illegal Alien Granted CDL Under Biden-Era Program Allegedly Kills Pennsylvania State Trooper

The death of a police officer in the line of duty is always a national tragedy. Yet some deaths demand more than mourning. They require an honest examination of the decisions that made them possible.

Pennsylvania State Trooper Michael Pahira Jr., 44, was killed Wednesday morning while carrying out one of the routine but dangerous responsibilities of law enforcement. He had stopped to inspect an unrelated semi-truck on the side of the road when a tractor-trailer left the roadway, struck another vehicle, and triggered the chain of events that claimed his life.

The driver accused of causing the crash, 33-year-old Michael Bon, has since been identified as an illegal immigrant from Haiti who entered the United States through the Biden administration's CHNV "humanitarian parole program," according to Fox News. 

The details are as disturbing as they are revealing.

After entering the country under the parole initiative, Bon reportedly sought Temporary Protected Status but was denied. His legal status was later terminated under the Trump administration. Despite this, he had already been issued a commercial driver's license by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in March 2025, allowing him to operate the massive vehicles that demand the highest standards of training, responsibility, and oversight.

This was not merely an isolated traffic accident. It raises difficult questions about immigration policy, government accountability, and the consequences of expanding programs that place insufficient emphasis on enforcement and vetting.

For years, critics warned that temporary parole programs, originally intended for exceptional humanitarian circumstances, were being transformed into broad avenues for entry with inadequate safeguards. Defenders insisted the system was under control. Now a Pennsylvania state trooper is dead, and another grieving family is left to ask whether this loss might have been prevented.

Trooper Pahira dedicated his life to protecting the public. He did not choose the policies that shaped the circumstances surrounding his final moments. He simply answered the call of duty, as officers across America do every day, trusting that the institutions responsible for public safety had fulfilled their own obligations.

His death deserves more than condolences. It deserves accountability.

A nation that asks its police officers to stand between order and chaos owes them something in return. It owes them immigration policies that place the safety of its own citizens and those sworn to protect them above political expediency. When that obligation is neglected, the consequences are not abstract. They are measured in lives cut short, families shattered, and communities left to mourn.

Child predator ready to walk arrested on surprise warrant hours before release

California's soft-on-crime circus just took another wild turn, but this time, a last-minute intervention stopped the show before the worst act.

David Allen Funston, 64, a convicted child predator who spent 25 years locked up for sexual abuse of children, was all set to walk free under the state's Elderly Parole Program. The unelected parole board gave him the green light, Gov. Gavin Newsom grumbled about it but couldn't stop it, and the whole thing sparked massive outrage.

But then Placer County stepped in with a new arrest warrant and fresh charges tied to the original 1996 crimes in Roseville. CDCR confirmed that around 7:30 a.m., Funston was handed over to authorities instead of being released as planned.

Funston had been granted parole suitability on Tuesday and was due out later this week. He was originally sentenced in 1999 to life with the possibility of parole for kidnapping and lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14, among other horrors involving multiple victims. Prosecutors say he kidnapped and molested a child back in 1996.

The mugshot of this Sacramento County monster tells the story: convicted in 1999 on multiple counts of kidnapping and child molestation. He got three life terms originally, but California's Elderly Parole Program kicked in once he hit the age and time requirements. He became eligible at 50 after 20 straight years inside.

The parole board found him suitable back on Sept. 24, 2025. Newsom kicked it back for an en banc review on Jan. 9, 2026. On Feb. 18, 2026, the board doubled down and reaffirmed parole.Placer County DA refiled charges within the statute of limitations, and boom, warrant issued. That halted the release cold.

California GOP Chair Corrin Rankin didn't hold back: "This last-minute warrant doesn’t fix the problem — it exposes it. California Democrats, led by Gavin Newsom, built a parole system that was ready and willing to release a violent child predator back into our community. Newsom signed the laws that created these loopholes, appointed the people who uphold them, and the Democratic majority in the legislature continues to prioritize the well-being of criminals over victims," Rankin said.

The former prosecutor who helped nail Funston originally chimed in too: "God bless Placer County DA for charging David Funston for crimes committed by this serial child predator," the former prosecutor said. "Let’s remember that @CAgovernor signed the law allowing this to happen. But Placer DA stepped in to stop this insanity."

For the victims, this hits hard and personal. One victim, Amelia, spoke out after the initial parole approval: "I’m disgusted with the fact that they would even believe anything that he would happen to say," Amelia told Fox News' "The Ingraham Angle." "I don’t believe that people like that change."She detailed the lifelong damage: "I would love to have a child, and this is what this man took from me. And I feel like, personally, that’s very hurtful," she said. "I have trauma. I don't trust anybody. I don't trust anything."

And the fear if he ever got out: "If he gets out, who knows if he'll do it again?" Amelia said. "I was told that he fantasizes still about children . . .  why would you let this man out? When he gets out, how do you not know if he will continue?"

Funston claimed to the board he was "disgusted and ashamed" of his past and "truly sorry" for the harm. Amelia wasn't buying it, and statistics regarding recidivism doesn't suggest that he won't re-offend. And besides, his incarceration was intended for punishment and to keep the community safe from this low-life.

Sacramento County Sheriff Jim Cooper and DA Thien Ho had already sounded the alarm, calling him an ongoing danger and pushing hard to block the release.

It's not clear yet when Funston will appear in Placer County court.

The warrant may have stopped this particular predator from hitting the streets today, but it lays bare the rotten core of California's parole setup: laws and appointees that put monsters first and victims last. The outrage isn't going away anytime soon.

Young Jewish family from Belgium attacked by parolee with knife in lower Manhattan

A young Hasidic couple, ages 22 and 24, and their one-year-old baby, came from Belgium to visit New York City and were attacked by an ex-convict with a knife near Battery Park in lower Manhattan.

The father bravely fought off the attacker and suffered injuries to his head that needed a dozen stitches according to BoroPark24, a local news site. His wife suffered cuts to her lip and the baby was cut on his chin by the human pile of excrement who was on parole for attempted murder. 

The alleged scumbag was arrested and charged with assault and possession of a weapon, among other counts.

We can thank the Democrats for the fact that the slasher was out on the street and that the city has adopted anti-police/pro-scumbag policies enacted by Gov. Cuomo and comrade Mayor de Blasio.

No mention in press reports of the family’s visible Judaism but the NYPD said the attack was considered a "possible bias incident." The NY Hate Crime Task Force is also investigating why a lunatic with a knife would attack a Jewish family dressed in formal Hasidic garb and forget to yell anti-semitic slogans. 

Perhaps we should ask members of the Democratic Party such as Ilhan Omar, AOC or Rashida Tlaib. 

The woke are anti-Semitic among other nasty things.

OJ caught masturbating may cause parole trouble and blindness

Dailymail.com reports that OJ Simpson's parole may be denied after he was caught masturbating in his Nevada prison cell. He was caught in the act by a female corrections officer, a prison official told the online news organization.

Masturbating is strictly forbidden in U.S. federal prisons where only mental masturbation is permitted, and then only with consensual thoughts of both fantasy parties.

"OJ [Orenthal James Simpson] is facing a disciplinary hearing after being written up for masturbating in his prison cell," said the source. "He was caught by a female corrections officer making her normal rounds in late June."

Dailymail.com confirmed with Lovelock Correctional Center [you cannot make this name up for this story] that it employs female corrections officers, some of whom can be, shall we say, very inspiring.

When "The Juice" goes in front of the Nevada Department of Corrections Parole Board on Thursday, he still will not have faced the disciplinary hearing for the sinful act of self-pleasuring, and the source says that this could pose a problem for him.

"While it's not the most serious charge to be written up for in prison [which might just be murder], it's serious enough that any potential parole date may be delayed or his parole denied altogether," the source added. 

Simpson has served not even 9 years of a 33-year sentence for a 2008 conviction for kidnapping and robbery when he and his moron buddies confronted a pair of memorabilia dealers with many of his souvenirs. The incident took place at the Palace State Hotel and Casino on September 13, 2007.

It's a good bet that OJ will be granted parole--after all, he's a Heisman Trophy winner--you can't keep a guy that great in prison forever. 

And the show will be televised!

One of Simpson's victims in the case, Bruce Fromong, is expected to testify in favor of his release after being promised by OJ that he won't come after him and cut his throat if he says nice things about him.

Simpson will appear remotely from Lovelock (coincidentally, that's the name of the move he put on himself) in front of the four-member parole board in Carson City, Nevada at 1:00 p.m.

Even the former DA who prosecuted OJ believes he has served his time, according to the New York Post. 

Come on--you don't expect a guy who's now 70, to spend the rest of his life in jail just for kidnapping someone at gunpoint and stealing his things. The guy's a Heisman Trophy winner.

OJ was not convicted in the murder case of Nicole Brown Simpson, his ex-wife who he undoubtedly killed along with Ron Goldman and got away with it because the prosecuting team was too busy with their own 'Love-locking' with each other to get a conviction.

And let's not forget, the guy's a Heisman Trophy winner. 

But we love our heroes and they will very likely let him go. Fortunately for society, he's pretty stupid and may find his way back behind bars.

Will there be a book deal on OJ's horizon? If so, I hope they call it: "Cut and Run."
