Zohran Mamdani’s Professor Pops Drops a Bombshell: Hitler Took Cues from Lincoln?

Mayoral frontrunner Zohran Mamdani’s got some family baggage that’s raising eyebrows. His dad, Mahmood Mamdani, a big-shot Columbia prof, dropped a wild claim in a 2022 Asia Society panel, tying none other than Abraham Lincoln to Adolf Hitler’s playbook for the Holocaust. Yeah, you read that right.

Zohran, the self-described socialist gunning for NYC’s top job, grew up with a silver spoon and a side of spicy political debates, courtesy of his parents, according to a New York Times profile. His mom’s an Oscar-nominated filmmaker, and his dad’s no slouch either, a Herbert Lehman professor of government at Columbia, with a stack of books to his name.

But it’s Papa Mamdani’s 2022 comments that are stirring the pot.

"America was the genesis of what we call settler-colonialism," Mahmood declared at the Asia Society, pointing to the Civil War. "With the Civil War, Abraham Lincoln generalized the solution of reservations, they herded American Indians into separate territories. For the Nazis, this was the inspiration. Hitler realized two things: one, that genocide is doable. It is possible to do genocide, that's what Hitler realized. Second thing Hitler realized, is that you don't have to have a common citizenship."

Mahmood didn’t stop there. He claimed Nazi Germany’s Nuremberg Laws, yes, the racist, anti-Semitic ones, were “patterned after American laws.” He even argued there’s no daylight between “nationalism and colonialism” and that the Allies in WWII were basically on the same wavelength as the Nazis. "The Nazi political project was shared by the Allies, and that political project was to turn Germany into a ‘pure’ nation. A ‘pure’ nation rid of its minorities," he said. "When the Allies defeated the Nazis and went into Eastern Europe, they began to create ‘pure’ nations. To ethnically cleanse Eastern Europe of Germans – move them back into Germany. One crime doesn't wipe out another."

But the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, and critics are digging up Zohran’s own radical gems. At a 2021 Young Democratic Socialists of America [aka Communists] conference, he rallied the crowd to go all-in, no compromises, on stuff like "seizing the means of production." Classic.

Then there’s a Gravel Institute video where he pushes for turning housing into a public free-for-all, ditching luxury condos for communal laundries and food co-ops. "If we want to end the housing crisis, the solution has to be moving toward the full de-commodification of housing," he preached.

But back to Dad.

Mahmood’s got more head-scratchers. In an interview about his book Good Muslim, Bad Muslim, he argued the term "suicide bomber" is bunk because they’re just like "soldier[s] whose objective is to kill." And as per the Washington Free Beacon, he’s even called Israel "the logical conclusion of Nazism."

Bold move, professor. You make Columbia University proud.

The Mamdani clan’s no stranger to the spotlight. But as Zohran surges in the mayoral race, these fiery family takes are fueling questions about what kind of leader he’d be. In all probability, a horrible, leftist anti-Semitic mayor.

Brad Lander’s Immigration Court Stunt Ends in Handcuffs Making Him Perfect Candidate for NYC mayor

New York City’s comptroller and wannabe mayor Brad Lander, a Democrat of course, decided to play hero at an immigration court, and it went about as well as you’d expect for a lefty grandstanding in a federal building. The guy got himself arrested Tuesday, right in the middle of trying to “accompany” some poor soul out of a Manhattan courtroom. Spoiler alert: the feds weren’t impressed.

Lander, ever the cos playing crusader, was physically clinging to a detainee like he was auditioning for a buddy cop movie. Federal agents, clearly not in the mood for his nonsense, told him straight up, “You’re obstructing.” Lander’s response? A classic, “I’m not obstructing, I’m standing right here in the hallway,” sounding like a YouTube arrestee not allowing cops to cuff them.

As the agents tried to pry Lander off the detainee, he put up a brief struggle, because nothing says “I’m helping” like wrestling with law enforcement. Eventually, they cuffed him and marched him off, with one officer rocking a tactical vest labeled “federal agent” and others sporting surgical masks like they just stepped out of a dystopian flick.

Lander, undeterred, sounding like a sovereign citizen shouted, “You don’t have the authority to arrest U.S. citizens asking for a judicial warrant,” as they hauled him into an elevator. Bold move, yelling legal theories at guys who clearly don’t care.

This whole scene went down while Lander was supposedly “observing” immigration court hearings, probably less about observation and more about scoring points for his Democratic mayoral primary campaign. Early voting’s already underway, and his team’s spinning this like it’s a badge of honor. Their statement? “While escorting a defendant out of immigration court at 26 Federal Plaza, Brad was taken by masked agents and detained by ICE.” Masked agents! Sounds like they’re trying to pitch this as a blockbuster thriller.

Meanwhile, the FBI and ICE haven’t bothered responding to emails about this mess, probably because they’re too busy dealing with the nationwide wave of immigration court arrests. Lander’s little stunt didn’t exactly stop the machine, it just got him a free ride in cuffs.

If this is his idea of leadership, New Yorkers might want to think twice before handing him the keys to City Hall. But then again, they handed them to Andrew Cuomo.

Titusville Democrat Mayoral Candidate Faces Charges in Election Sign Theft

Titusville, FL -- Mayoral candidate Vickie Conklin (D) is facing charges for allegedly stealing election signs of her opponents as outlined in an affidavit from the Titusville Police Department.

The Titusville Police Department confirmed that charges have been filed by the State Attorney's Office against the Democrat Conklin and her campaign manager, Earl Johnson, Jr.

In a statement to the local media outlet, Talk of Titusville, Conklin mentioned she didn't know about any potential charges against her and planned to make an official statement later. The accusations that she removed signs from her opponents' campaigns have made the race for mayor in Titusville even more heated.

These allegations are part of a pattern; just last month, the Titusville Police began looking into a case where another candidate, Andrew Connors, claimed that around 300 of his campaign signs were taken from around the city.

Connors explained that his campaign signs kept disappearing from busy spots like around Royal Oak and along South Street, yet other candidates' signs stayed put. He figured he was out of pocket by about $1,455, calculating each sign cost him $4.85.

With election day getting closer, the accusations against Conklin are making people doubt how fair the race is. Meanwhile, some locals are calling for a clean and respectful campaign time. The Titusville Police are still looking into these incidents, asking the community to keep an eye out and for everyone to treat campaign materials with respect.

Curtis Sliwa blasts Orthodox Jews as a "drag on the tax system"

Who'd a thunk it--Curtis Sliwa has a brief history of what appears to be anti-Semitic rhetoric as evidenced in a resurfaced video from 2018.

[H/T The New York Jewish Week]

Sliwa is the Republican candidate for mayor in New York City and denounced the "bloc vote," which is comprised of Orthodox Jewish voters. This is definitely not a smart thing to say when you have future political aspirations in a city where many Orthodox Jews live, especially when Orthodox Jews, much more than secular Jews, tend to vote Republican, the party that takes freedom of religion more seriously than the left.

But the reality is, if you're running for New York City mayor on the Republican ticket, you have a very poor chance of winning.

“We’re not talking about poor, impoverished, disabled people who need help," Sliwa went on, referring to Orthodox Jews, "we’re talking about able-bodied men who study Torah and Talmud all day and we subsidize them. And then all they do is make babies like there’s no tomorrow and who’s subsidizing that? We are.

“So are we the schmucks and putzes? Yes.” Good to know he has familiarity with everything Orthodox Jews do [make babies], versus the left who is okay with killing babies.

The video shows Sliwa, the founder of the Guardian Angels speaking at a meeting for the Reform Party. The video was originally posted to a Facebook page called United Hudson Valley on Oc. 25, 2018.

Sliwa won the Republican primary Tuesday against Fernando Matteo.

In the video, he repeatedly speaks out against the “bloc vote,” referring to Orthodox Jews. He encourages the meeting attendees to vote for Reform Party candidates to keep the “bloc vote” from continuing to control New York politics.

“They don’t vote the way normal Americans vote…They’re being told by the rebbe or rabbi this is who you vote for,” Sliwa said. All the left has to tell them who to vote for is the legacy media, unions and celebrities.

He also spoke about political contributions from Orthodox donors, as if that was a bad thing. Follow Sliwa's thinking and the left would never lose another election.

Sliwa was a member of the Reform Party until Feb. 2021, when he joined the Republican Party to run for mayor of New York City as a Republican, implying that his allegiance is dependent upon how he might benefit.

In his 2018 speech, Sliwa took issue with the idea that his own words might be construed as anti-Semitic.

“The moment you bring this to somebody’s attention, you’re called an anti-Semite. You’re not anti-Semites, you’re trying to preserve your community,” he said adding that his two youngest sons are Jewish, as if one cannot be an anti-Semite based on that.

But perhaps he isn't. I will give him the benefit of the doubt.

McAllen, Texas mayoral race goes Right--the Left panics

McAllen, TX -- Democrats were unable to get their hands on the voting machines in the mayoral election and Republican candidate Javier Villalobos won by a narrow margin in a South Texas town that's 85% Latino.

Democrats were stunned over the results of a mayoral race in South Texas over the weekend after the town elected a former chairman of a local county-level Republican Party.

“Republicans celebrated Javier Villalobos’ narrow win in the mayor’s race in McAllen, Texas, on Saturday even though the race is technically nonpartisan,” Fox News reported. “Villalobos, an attorney, was appointed to the Prepaid Higher Education Tuition Board by [Texas Republican Governor Greg] Abbott in 2018 and is the former chair of the Hidalgo County GOP.”

Hola amigos, despierta.

So while "Sleepy Joe" refuses to stem the flow of illegal aliens across the U.S. southern border, and co-President Kamala Harris refuses to even go there to pretend to care, Hispanic immigrants who came here legally are rightfully angry and their voting shows it.

“Let me start by thanking the voters, my team, my family & everyone who helped run this campaign,” Republican Mayor-elect Villalobos wrote on Facebook. “Thank you McAllen for trusting & believing in me. I promise to not let you down.”

Fellow Republican Gov. Greg Abbott congratulated Villalobos on Twitter, writing: “Javier Villalobos is a proven leader who cares deeply about the people of the Rio Grande Valley. Congratulations on becoming the next Mayor of McAllen!”

“Republicans and Hispanics in Texas share common values, and more Hispanics are voting Republican and getting elected as Republicans,” Abbott later added. “They want to help keep Texas Red.”

Villalobos, who is currently a McAllen City Commissioner, beat his Democratic opponent Veronica Whitacre by several hundred votes in the election.

Hidalgo County, which is home to McAllen, voted for the execrable Hillary Clinton by more than 40 points in 2016 and went to Joe Biden by 17 points in 2020.

“Amazing news! McAllen, Texas is a major border town of 140,000 people. 85% Hispanic — and just elected a Republican mayor,” former Trump campaign spokesman Steve Cortes wrote on Twitter. ‘The macro realignment accelerates in South Texas, and elsewhere, as Hispanics rally to America First: Strong Borders, Economic Nationalism, Pro-Police.”

“Big mayoral wins in Texas last night! In McAllen, we FLIPPED the Mayoral seat to Republican, while in Ft Worth our turnout efforts ensured that a Republican won over a Texas Democrat,” RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel tweeted. “Both rightly rejected Biden and Harris’ failed policies and voted for the GOP. Whether rejecting a crisis at the border or a squandered economic recovery, these municipalities moved decidedly toward the GOP, because our policies work.”

Meanwhile, Democrats are having a cow.

Sawyer Hackett, Executive Director of Julian Castro’s socialist-leaning People First Future, tweeted: “A GOP county chair just won a race for mayor of McAllen, Texas, a city that’s 85% Latino. Hillary won the county by 40 points. If the Democratic Party doesn’t get serious about Latino outreach, we’re in big trouble.”

For Democrats, "Latino outreach" amounts to taxpayer-funded giveaways and calling all Republicans white supremacists.

Democrat Jon Mark Hogg tweeted: “So Republicans won the McAllen and Fort Worth Mayors races. Someone tell me again how we should stick with our current progressive message and strategy in Texas and not try to appeal to conservative/moderate voters.”

RNC Deputy Communications Director Nathan Brand celebrated the victory, writing on Twitter: “BIG win for Republicans tonight in a border community. Biden’s border crisis has real world ramifications for communities across the country, especially in cities like McAllen.”

Hopefully, the Democrats will keep doing what they've been doing because the voters are beginning to see through their failed policies and false accusations.
