Comrade Sanders Urges Sexually Assault Accused Democrat To Quit Maine Race So Party Can Find Fresher Face To Lose To Susan Collins

WASHINGTON—In a stunning display of progressive principles that somehow only apply when it's politically convenient, self-described democratic socialist Bernie Sanders urged Maine's scandal-plagued Democratic Senate nominee Graham Platner to drop out of the race Tuesday, because nothing says "believe all women" like immediately throwing your own guy under the bus the second a damaging allegation drops.

"I have spoken with Graham Platner about the best path forward for Maine," Sanders, a prominent progressive backer of Platner and his biggest national ally, said in a statement."In light of these very serious allegations, I have recommended that he step aside."

Sanders, the cranky Vermont independent who caucuses with Democrats and has spent decades railing against the establishment while being the establishment, joins a growing pile-on of Democrats who were all-in on Platner until a woman accused him of forcibly having sex with her nearly five years ago, an allegation Platner has denied.

Senate Democratic leaders and their allied super PAC suddenly decided Maine, that critical battleground state Kamala Harris somehow won in 2024, isn't worth the investment if their guy might be radioactive.

Kirsten Gillibrand, chair of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, and Chuck 'Nostrils' Schumer, the top Senate Democrat, issued a joint statement to the same effect, calling for Platner to withdraw from the race and allow the party to choose a new nominee.

Democratic Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib also withdrew her endorsement for Platner on Tuesday, calling on him to 'exit the race immediately.' "These allegations are devastating and must be taken seriously," she wrote on Twitter/X.

Republicans currently enjoy a comfy 53-47 majority in the Senate, meaning Democrats would need to net four seats just to tie things up and keep pretending they run the place. Losing Maine would make that mathematical miracle basically impossible, forcing them to defend seats in places like Georgia and Michigan, states President Donald Trump actually won in 2024 while somehow flipping deep-red territory like North Carolina, Ohio, Alaska, Iowa, and Texas. 

Good luck with that, comrades.

Platner has remained silent after saying in a social media video on Monday that he was taking time "to reflect on the best path forward," and think about all the girls he loved before.

He can be replaced on the ballot if he drops out by July 13. The Maine Democratic Party would have until July 27 to select a new nominee, presumably one without quite so much baggage this week.

Potential candidates, including Democrats who lost last month's primary for governor, were already positioning themselves for a likely Senate run on Tuesday like vultures circling a progressive dream that just crashed into reality.Former state Senate President Troy Jackson filed federal paperwork on Tuesday to form an exploratory committee that allows him to start fundraising, the Bangor Daily News reported.

Nirav Shah, the former director of the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said the party should hold an open and transparent process to select a new nominee. "Anyone running for this nomination should agree to at least one televised debate and hold multiple public town halls across every corner of the state," he said in a statement on X that notably emphasized he is "not an establishment politician" or "an insider.

"Republican Incumbent Well-Funded, Surprisingly Not Under Investigation The lucky Democratic nominee, whoever that ends up being, will face Republican Senator Susan Collins, who chairs a panel that oversees the nation’s federal discretionary spending and somehow hasn't been canceled yet despite being a moderate from Maine.

Collins, 73, has a nearly $10 million war chest and is backed by multiple super PACs. The Senate Leadership Fund has pledged to invest $42 million in Maine, and Pine Tree Results PAC has spent almost $7 million boosting her campaign. The Pine Tree Results PAC has canceled its ad reservations for next week, according to the ad-tracking firm AdImpact, which suggests Republicans expect Platner to drop out this week because why waste money on a guy who's already politically dead?

In a statement on Monday, Collins called the allegations against Platner "appalling.""Nevertheless," she said, "it is not up to me to choose the Democratic nominee for Senate." Classic Collins: polite, factual, and ready to watch the Democrats eat each other alive.

34,000 dead folks found on NC voter rolls

North Carolina just dropped a fun little bombshell: they have unearthed around 34,000 dead people chilling on the state's voter rolls. Because nothing says "secure elections" like a roster that includes folks who have been pushing up daisies for years. This delightful discovery comes as the Tar Heel State is also busy checking to make sure its registered voters are, you know, actual living American citizens.

According to WTDV, the North Carolina State Board of Elections stumbled upon this afterlife voter bloc after running a thorough comparison between the state's rolls and the federal Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements database, also known as SAVE.

Sam Hayes, the executive director of the State Board of Elections, said in a statement, "While we expected to find some cases, this is higher than we anticipated. The benefit of entering into cross-state and federal database checks is that it allows us to uncover issues like this. Our goal is to use every available and legal tool at our disposal to achieve the most accurate voter rolls possible."

He added, "Now, we must roll up our sleeves and begin the hard work to act of verifying that every person registered to vote in North Carolina is eligible. Our team, along with our state and federal will do what's necessary to meet this responsibility."

Democrat voting blocks

Election officials were quick to assure everyone that finding tens of thousands of deceased voters on the rolls does not necessarily mean anyone was out there committing voter fraud in their names. Of course not. Those ballots probably just filled themselves out. The state board will now team up with county officials to start the thrilling process of removing these phantom voters before the next election cycle turns into a séance. 

Democracy: it's alive and well. Mostly, but not so much for Democrats.

What more we know about the alleged gunman Routh at Trump golf club

We now know the alleged gunman who is accused of pointing an AK-47 rifle at former President Trump on Sunday is 58-year-old Ryan Wesley Routh and has an extensive police record spanning several decades.

Routh was arrested shortly after the incident at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. The original reporting of the incident said that Routh fired toward Trump but now we know that he didn't fire off any rounds but the Secret Service saw him pointing his weapon through a chain-link fence in Trump's direction and it was the Secret Service who fired at Routh when they saw the muzzle of the rifle, located one hole ahead of where Trump was at on the course.

Authorities are treating the episode as an apparent assassination attempt on Trump, which doesn't make most of us feel that he's any safer with the new D.E.I. agency.

A background check on the name given by officials, Ryan Wesley Routh, shows that he currently lives in Hawaii and has had dozens of run-ins with police, starting as far back as to at least the 1990s.

Routh is a native of North Carolina where he had been arrested for simple drug possession, driving without a license, expired inspection and operating a vehicle with no insurance. The dude is a real rebel it seems and I wouldn't be surprised if we find out that he's a sovereign citizen.

In another arrest, the Greensboro News & Record reported in 2002 that Routh was arrested after barricading himself in his roofing company's office. It created a three-hour standoff that followed a traffic stop in which he place his hand on a gun before fleeing.

Rough, who is apparently a Harris-Walz supporter, moved to the Aloha State in 2017 and has since opened another construction company that builds housing structures for homeless people, according to his own LinkedIn page.


"This does not appear to be some random guy with an AK-47 walking outside Trump's club," an official said after the Sunday afternoon incident. [H/T Fox News.com.]

News of the incident broke shortly after Trump was safely escorted off of the golf course, both ears intact.

A Secret Service agent spotted the would-be gunman while Trump was playing the course's fifth hole. Officials say Routh abandoned an AK-47, a Go-Pro camera and two backpacks along a chain-link fence that borders the sixth hole of the course. 

Routh fled like a coward in an SUV after a member of the Secret Service fired on him, but was soon arrested, according to authorities on I 95.

Trump's campaign quickly issued a statement that the 45th president was safe, with Trump following up in a message to supporters that he will "never surrender."

DEI will 'DIE' at UNC as board votes to end it and fund the police

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Board of Trustees has finally figured it out: diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) sounds nice but so does the word 'abomination.' Also, it doesn't work. These late-comers to rational thinking have finally decided to transfer millions in funding that went to these leftist feel-good programs and hiring to public safety and campus police after seeing the results of anti-Israel/anti-Semitic demonstrations and concomitant rioting.

The unanimous decision by the trustees will now reallocate $2,300,000 previously spent on DEI garbage programs toward public safety measures and police as part of its annual budget.

Last fiscal year, UNC Chapel Hill’s operating budget surpassed $4 billion,  more than the GDP of Burundi.

"My personal opinion is that there’s administrative bloat in the university," Board Chair David Boliek told NC regional newspaper The News & Observer, anticipating some jobs would be scrapped as a result. "Any cuts in administration and diverting of dollars to rubber-meets-the-road efforts like public safety and teaching is important."

Though Boliek claimed that the policy was under consideration before anti-Israel protests reached a fever pitch at campuses across the country, Trustee Marty Kotis admitted that law enforcement needed more funding after the school saw the aftermath of demonstrations last month which resulted in several arrests.

"It’s important to consider the needs of all 30,000 students, not just 100 or so that may want to disrupt the university’s operations," Kotis told the newspaper. Especially not the 100 or so disrupters who seem to be supported by the Biden administration.

Monday’s special meeting came before the UNC Board of Governors, which oversees all 17 public universities in the state. They expect to vote statewide next week to determine whether to restrict all DEI programs, which should be a no-brainer. 

The board’s five-person Committee on University Governance already voted last month to reverse and replace a policy related to DEI, but the full board of 24 members must vote for the repeal to take effect. It is not known whether the 24 member board are products of DEI, but if they are, the schools are doomed to commit the same mistakes in hiring based on immutable characteristics rather than merit.

However, if the policy if totally repealed, the UNC system would join other major universities in getting rid of their racist diversity offices, and maybe white people and Asians would no longer be targets of academic discrimination.

NC woman allegedly assaults air marshal, 'I'm Palestinian'

A North Carolina woman on Saturday who apparently was drinking vodka to the point of intoxication, said she wanted to "stab everyone on the plane" and then commit suicide. She was also charged with assaulting an air marshal after he tried to stop her from entering the United Airline's toilet with a lighter.

Flight attendants aboard the jet from Frankfurt, Germany, said they were alerted that a flight lavatory smoke detector had been activated while in the air and found Dana Ghazi Mustafa in the bathroom. They told her that smoking on board the aircraft is prohibited by federal regulations and asked her to return to her seat, which she did, according to court documents.

After she returned to her seat, Mustafa, 27, was observed crying and told flight attendants that she was flying home to see her family but that they had died in a car accident caused by a drunk driver. Flight attendants then moved her to another seat to make her more comfortable.

When she was in her reassigned seat, she allegedly punched the TV monitor on the seatback in front of hers and threw a coin at the bulkhead.

Once again, she was seen getting up and walking to the rear cabin while striking the flint of her lighter.

A federal air marshal aboard the plane who saw Mustafa with the lighter said in a sworn affidavit that she smelled of alcohol.

Flight attendants tried to stop Mustafa from entering the lavatory with the lighter, but she pushed the attendants and tried to shut the door. She also fought against two air marshals who tried to restrain her and handcuff her while she repeatedly kicked on of them in the shins.

She was soon handcuffed and seated next to the air marshals who found a half-empty liter of vodka visible at the top of her open bag and said Mustafa complained that "I was allowed to drink my duty-free bottle of vodka on my previous flight."

Mustafa also threatened to stab the air marshal and said: "I'm going to stab everyone on the plane then kill myself. I'm Palestinian! That's how we get down," according to court documents.

That's how they roll!

When the plane landed in Virginia, FBI agents arrested Mustafa, who admitted that she lied about her family's death.

Mustafa is charged with assaulting a federal officer and faces a maximum penalty of eight years in prison if convicted.

Trump and Clinton react to NC GOP headquarters of firebombing

The fire-bombing of a North Carolina county GOP headquarters was in the news and drew responses from both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump on Sunday evening.

Trump tweeted that "animals" representing Hillary Clinton had "firebombed our office in Orange County because we are winning."
It was later learned that Trump had not spoken with or accompanied the miscreants on the firebombing so it not a fact that "animals" did the firebombing as most animals (except fish) fear fire. And it is not true that his statement "we are winning" is accurate as the polls show otherwise.

But polls are often wrong and politicians often lie--on both sides of the aisle.

The party responded to Trump's tweet by tweeting a pledge (sometimes referred to on Twitter as a 'twedge') that they will not be silenced or repressed. That's their way of saying: "Trump Voters Matter." 

A molotov cocktail-style device was thrown into a building where the Orange County GOP headquarters is located in Hillsborough, NC. One state GOP official called it an act of "political terrorism," the Charlotte Observer said.

ISIS has not taken credit for the act.

Local cops and the ATF & E are investigating, but have not confirmed the status or identities about the suspects when Trump tweeted on Twitter. However, some animal droppings were found near the tree line of a nearby forest.

The person, persons or animals who did this had written "Nazi Republicans get out of town or else" on the side of a nearby building. But folks around town aren't worried of a direct confrontation because only cowards do sneaky vandalism and use ad hominem attacks.

Dallas Woodhouse, head of the state Republican Party told the Charlotte Observer: "The office itself is a total loss. The only thing important to us is that nobody was killed, and they very well could have been." 

On Monday, Woodhouse promised that they will be back on the job and will not let this stop them.

Gov. Pat McCrory said in a statement that "Violence has no place in our society--but especially in our elections . . . I will use every resource as governor to assist local authorities in the investigation."

Hillary Clinton also tweeted about the attack, condemning it and the GOP thanked her for the sentiment [but they didn't check her for fire residue].

Caitlyn may again be Bruce

Caitlyn Jenner (OUAT Bruce Jenner) is having second thoughts about her external biologically correct switch from male to female, Ian Halperin, a Kardashian family biographer told The Wrap. Now the OUAT olympian is considering going back to her/his roots "in the next couple years."

We all can't wait. Oh, and OUAT is an acronym for "Once Upon A Time."

Halperin learned, while researching his book "Kardashian Dynasty: The Controversial Rise of America's Royal Family," that several people close to Caitlyn/Bruce believe that she is unhappy about being a she and wants to drop the 's' once again.

North Carolina is in a quagmire as to which bathroom the "new" Jenner would be assigned to, but until the switch-back happens, they are still confused.

Halperin said that "One source confirmed to me that Caitlyn has made whispers of 'sex change regret' hinting she might go back to being Bruce Jenner." The reason, Halperin said, was due to relationship reasons.

"She's still into women and wants to meet the right one," Halperin stated.

Some believe she's just thinking with her imaginary penis where once it had been real. But OUAT when Jenner's photo was plastered on the cover of Vanity Fair, she admitted that after the transition, she experienced her first panic attack.

The middle-aged OUAT athlete thought: "What did I just do? What did I just do to myself?"

"She's thrilled she has raised awareness about how transgender people have long been discriminated against but I think there's a chance she'll de-transition in the next couple years," Halperin said. "I don't think it would surprise anybody in her inner circle. It has been much harder than she anticipated. My heart goes out to her and I know her true friends will be there to support her on whatever path she chooses."

Although transgender people make up about 0.03% of the American population, they, along with the other LGBT folks, are represented in the entertainment media 420% beyond their demographic . . . and they still want more representation.
