Comrade Bernie Sanders-backed group just endorsed a billionaire in governor's race

Millionaire Comrade Bernie and his bad breath

Well, here’s a twist you almost have to admire for its sheer lack of self-awareness. Sen. Bernie Sanders (Communist-VT) used to attack millionaires and billionaires, but now that he has become a millionaire, it's only the billionaires now that he goes after. Hypocrisy much?

Billionaire California gubernatorial candidate Tom Steyer has just landed the endorsement of Our Revolution, a group tied to Bernie Sanders that has made a name for itself railing against… billionaires.

Yes, really.

To their credit, the group didn’t try to dodge the obvious contradiction. They leaned into it, acknowledging Steyer’s billionaire status in a press release while insisting that “it matters what he is doing with that power: pushing for taxes on the wealthy, expanding universal programs, and dismantling corporate influence in our politics.”

So, the problem isn’t billionaires; it’s the wrong billionaires.

“Tom Steyer understands that California’s affordability crisis is not inevitable, it’s the result of a political system shaped by concentrated wealth and corporate power at the expense of working people,” said Our Revolution Executive Director Joseph Geevarghese.

“At a moment when too many defend the status quo, Tom has taken a different path, challenging the very system that benefits people like him,” he added.

And if you’re keeping score at home, the group even noted on X that this is the first time they’ve endorsed a billionaire for public office. Historic stuff.

Steyer, for his part, was more than happy to accept the nod, saying he’s “honored” and promising that “as Governor, [he’ll] work tirelessly to realize our shared vision of a California that works for working people.”

Meanwhile, Our Revolution’s own website still proudly calls for efforts to “Defund Oligarchy” and to “eliminate in the influence of corporations, billionaires and consultants in our political process.” Apparently, there are exceptions, especially when the billionaire in question is writing checks in the right direction.

Steyer, a climate activist who made his fortune founding Farallon Capital, is worth about $2.4 billion, according to Forbes. He’s poured tens of millions into saturating California’s airwaves, something he also did during his unsuccessful 2020 presidential bid.

And here’s the kicker: it might actually be working because he has a 'D' after his name and that's all it takes for the left.

Polling aggregated by RealClearPolitics suggests Steyer is currently the top Democrat heading into the June 2 top-two primary.

The race, however, is anything but settled. Eric Swalwell dropped out and resigned from Congress following multiple sexual misconduct allegations, blowing up what many thought was the Democrats’ strongest hand.

The field is still crowded, with Steyer facing off against Katie Porter, Xavier Becerra, and Matt Mahan, among others. Betty Yee has already bowed out after weak polling, and Gavin Newsom hasn’t tipped his frenetic hand on a successor.

On the Republican side, Steve Hilton and Chad Bianco are still putting up respectable numbers—enough to raise the outside possibility of a Democratic lockout in California’s “jungle primary.”

In that system, the top two vote-getters—party labels be damned—advance to November.

And if current trends hold, one of them could very well be a billionaire endorsed by a group that exists to oppose billionaires.

Politics doesn’t get much cleaner than that.

Toxic Katie Porter: From Smug Professor to Full-Blown Termagant, Lamely Excusing Her Latest Meltdowns

The look she gets when people stub their toe

If there's one thing I've learned in my years of watching Democrats self-destruct, it's that they never disappoint when it comes to turning a molehill into a Mount St. Helens of embarrassment.

Enter Katie Porter, the erstwhile UC Irvine bankruptcy maven turned House Rep and Elizabeth Warren's favorite mini-me. Just a hot minute ago, she was the odds-on favorite to slide into Gavin Newsom's velvet governor's chair come 2026 (praise be, term limits). But oh, how the mighty have plummeted; this week, a couple of videos dropped that make her look less like a polished pol and more like a harried substitute teacher on day three of a caffeine crash.

In one clip, she's berating a reporter for the high crime of doing her job by asking follow-ups. In the other, she's dropping F-bombs on a staffer who had the audacity to photobomb her big moment. Classy as a mud-wrestling match at a family reunion.

Look, California is not exactly a Republican's dream date. We've got Steve Hilton throwing haymakers from the sensible center and Riverside County's Chad Bianco bringing that no-nonsense sheriff vibe; but let's be real: the electorate that twice elected Gavin "Lizard Face" Newsom thinks "homeless encampments" are just avant-garde public art.

A GOP upset would be like finding gold in a porta-potty: possible, but don't hold your breath.

Porter is toast. Newsom at least has that oily charisma, the kind that lets him blame wildfires on climate denialists while his mansion's got its own fire department. But Katie has the charm of a root canal administered by a drunk dentist who's low on Novacain. Her stab at damage control on Inside California Politics with Nikki Laurenzois was like watching a bad community theater production of Apology: The Musical.

She struggles to breathe between every sentence, much like Wolf Blitzer, and is about as convincing as the guy with a wet moustache trying to sell you snake oil.

Porter's "explanation" seems like it came right out of the mouth of spouse abusers everywhere: "When I look at those videos, I want people to know that I understand that I could have handled things better," Porter said. [Gee, ya think?!]

"I think I'm known as someone who's able to handle tough questions, who's willing to answer questions, and I want people to know that I really value the incredible work that my staff can do." You mean, the staff that you abuse like they're "Game of Thrones housemaids?"

Yeah, nobody is buying it, Ms. Porter.

Of course, those are just the latest in a long line of examples showing the former congresswoman has serious anger issues. Certainly, Porter's ex-husband thinks so, given she allegedly poured scalding potatoes on his head.

She also verbally abused a wounded warrior who was sent to work in her office, blaming the military veteran for giving her COVID-19. Now, the witch has responded to her latest woes in the most sociopathic way possible. This is a woman who feels no remorse for anything and blames everyone else for everything.

We've got a rogue's gallery of Democratic divas out there, Eric Swalwell, who's about as sharp as a bag of water; Jasmine Crockett, the human Molotov cocktail of racial grievance; Ayanna Pressley, who'd sooner burn the Constitution than read it.

But Katie Porter is clearly the queen bee of mean girls, the one who'd steal your lunch money and then lecture you on economic inequality.

Her cleanup attempts are as effective as a rubber crutch for a goldfish. Time to hang it up, Katie; maybe pivot to hawking those whiteboard markers on QVC.  Or better yet, timeshares in a parallel universe where politeness is still a thing. Lord knows, you'd crush the upselling.

Tim Walz hosted der Fuhrer-loving Muslim and gave his group $100K from taxpayers' purse

Asad Zamam is an extreme Jew-hating imam and mouthpiece for the Hamassholes as well as a supporter of the October 7 invasion and massacre in Israel. His group was the recipient of $100,000 of public funds generously given to him by none other than Tampon Tim Walz, the governor of Minnesota and VP nominee for the Democratic Party. Walz hosted the scumbucket at various official events as governor.

On the day of the October 7, 2023 slaughter of about 1,200 Jews, mostly civilians, and the kidnapping of 253 others, this human garbage said that he “stands in solidarity with Palestinians against Israeli attacks.”

When California Congresswoman Katie Porter condemned Hamas the following day, the imam asked her if she would “reaffirm the right of Palestinians to defend themselves.”

Killing children, burning people alive, raping them in front of family members before killing them is not defending themselves and it sure as hell not resistance, but these besturds [spelling intentional] always paint themselves as victims and hold their own people hostage in war zones so their deaths can create global sympathy that then justifies more Jew hatred.

Zaman has also called Israel an “apartheid” state, which is exactly what Gaza is and what Israel is not. People of all religions can live and work in Israel: Jews, Bedouin, Hindu, Muslims, atheists, gays, and anyone else. Not so much in Gaza where not one Jews lives and gays get murdered for being gay.

Zaman in 2015 promoted a World War II film praising Hitler, a favorite flick among neo-Nazis and maybe even Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib. I don't know how Walz feels about der Fuhrer, but he is no lover of Israel.

“Imam Zaman has a troubling history of playing into classic anti-Jewish themes and justifying violence against Israel,” an Anti-Defamation League spokesperson said.

“Given his hurtful remarks post-Oct. 7, and absent any recognition of the pain he has caused the Jewish community, we urge all public officials and leaders to avoid meeting with him in the future,” the spokesperson added.

“Those who have met with Imam Zaman should clarify that they don’t agree with his toxic views about Jews and the Jewish state.”

Walz did not condemn the remarks just like he didn't correct people who introduce him as having been in combat in Iraq and a Command Sergeant Major when he retired to avoid the war while his unit went.

The Jew hating cleric attended several community events over the years hosted by Tampon Tim Walz, and in 2019 he even delivered an invocation before the governor’s State address, the report said. [Walz got the sobriquet 'Tampon Tim' after he had tampon dispensers installed in boys bathrooms at MN schools. These boys, had they actually been girls, would have still been too young to even need tampons.]

Zaman heads the Muslim American Society (MAS) of Minnesota, which is associated with the terrorist group, the Muslim Brotherhood. On the day of the invasion it said in a statement that it “reaffirms its unwavering support for the Palestinian people in their struggle against the Israeli occupation.”

It also accused Israel of “unprovoked attacks on Palestinian areas,” and maintaining an “inhumane blockade of Gaza,” called on the U.S. to stop supporting Israel, and for Arab countries who have normalized relations with Israel to “reconsider their stance.”

Tens of thousands of supply trucks have gone into Gaza to supply the people living there and Hamas has stolen these supplies for themselves or sold them to Gazans.

Tampon Tim Walz is a formidable speaker but he isn't an honest one and is clearly not one who supports Israel, our best ally in the Middle East. How any American Jewish person, or anyone who condemns what Hamas, Hezbollah, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and all anti-Zionist/anti-Jews groups, can vote for the Harris-Walz ticket is unfathomable.

CA Dem running for Porter's House seat arrested for a DUI

A California Democrat running for Rep. Katie Porter's seat in the House apologized Wednesday for getting caught driving drunk. Porter (D-CA) is vying for a Senate seat.

“Last night I was cited for a misdemeanor for driving under the influence,” state Sen. Dave Min said in a post on Facebook. “My decision to drive last night was irresponsible. I accept full responsibility and there is no excuse for my actions.” [So elect me because I'm a Democrat.]

“To my family, constituents and supporters, I am so deeply sorry,” he added. “I know I need to do better. I will not let this personal failure distract from our work in California and in Washington.”

Fortunately, Min did not kill anyone when he was driving under the influence, but he could have.

The Los Angeles Times reported the Sheriff’s Department confirmed that the California Highway Patrol arrested Min, and records show he was released from Sacramento County jail on Wednesday. So he wasn't just 'cited' as he said, he was arrested like a common criminal.

Min is a former business law professor at UC Irvine. He ran for the U.S. House of Representatives in 2018 and lost to Porter. He then ran and got elected to the state Senate in 2020.

In January, Porter announced her campaign to succeed the brain withered Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), who recently discovered that she does not plan to seek re-election. So with that, Min declared his candidacy for Porter's seat in Orange County, and to celebrate, he got commode-hugging drunk and drove his vehicle until he got caught.

Min’s campaign website touts the state senator’s leftist lunatic legislative record featuring bills focused on “bold and aggressive gun violence prevention,” the climate, and more woke agenda nonsense.

“A first-generation Korean-American, Dave is running for Congress to create a better California for the children of Orange County — one that reflects our core values of diversity, tolerance, and opportunity that drew his parents and millions of others like them to this country in search of a better life,” the website notes. “Dave isn’t afraid to take on Trumpian Republicans and their dangerous policies, and works tirelessly every day to create an economy and community that uplift Orange County families.”

By "Trumpian Republicans" he means anyone who believes in the virtues of the U.S. Constitution, the right of the unborn to get born, and the importance of law and order. Trump has nothing to do with this insofar as what conservatives believe as these beliefs came before Trump got elected.

Porter endorsed Min to replace her, saying Min has “proven that he can win in this area while delivering on a progressive agenda with real results.” Just as long as he doesn't deliver it by automobile.

Besides Porter, two other execrable House Democrats — Reps. Adam Schiff and Barbara Lee — have announced campaigns to replace Feinstein in the Senate. A victory by Schiff or Lee would validate the theory that California Democrats would vote for a cow plop if it was shaped in a "D."
