Bummers for Obama

Why isn't Obama saying anything about the violence taking place in Syria?  Even our embassy in Damascus is closing shop and the workers moving out for their own safety.  Why is Assad being allowed to follow in his father's footsteps with this relentless slaugher?  Obama has made it clear that we will not intervene on behalf of Syria and while Obama reached out to Assad, asking him to cool it,  people were still dying in the streets.  This is a bummer for Obama because when it comes to countries of Islamic pursuasion, Obama gets as much respect as a JC Penny door guard on Black Friday.


Obama has ordered new sanctions on Iran, using nonmilitary means to pressure them into giving up their nuclear goals.  He believes he can show them that it is not in their national interests to have nukes, but to actually convince them of this would require that he prove to them that they really love Israel and wish them no harm, and that Mohammad was a pedophile whose behavior was repugnant.  He has as good a chance of doing that as Ahmadinejad has of winning America's Got Talent.

Obama is doing everything he can to acquire the release of Sam LaHood and his coworkers incarcerated in Egypt. Everything he can means that he is doing what he has done to improve the economy--he has made speeches.  He makes fine speeches but that's where it ends.  Let's hope his leadership has the same outcome.

On the home front, another bummer for Obama is the Catholic Church.  He has demanded that Catholic healthcare institutions provide contraception and abortion services for women, in spite of the fact that this goes against the religious beliefs of the Church.  This may come back to bite him on his butt in the election, but I suspect he will back off from this when he realizes it will hurt his chances--let's face it--Obama has only one real principal and that's to get re-elected.  Bishops are saying that religious liberty is in jeopardy in this country.  Why must Catholics, or anyone, for that matter, have to pay for the contraception for others?  On an individual basis, contraception is not expensive, and it isn't fair to expect the Church to give up their beliefs and sense of morals because Obama is a secular socialist.


Obama's claim that there is a decrease of the middle class is simply unfounded.  It's a fact that those Americans born in the lower 20% will more likely not end up being in the lowest 20%.  He fails to see the fluidity of the socioeconomic classes and has tried his best to blame the richest Americans. To hear his message one would think that the upper class got there at the expense of the lower class, but this is poppycock, which is the British equivalent of bulls**t.  And speaking of bulls**t, isn't that what Obama is all about?

Brady Tried, New England Died

No, I'm not going to recap the entire Superbowl for you; that would be cruel to New England fans, and something everyone already knows.  I just want to say that the Giants, my hometown team, deserved to win and New England, my sister's adopted team when she move to the Boston area over thirty years ago, deserved to have their butts kicked.  

I no longer listen to the pundits who pretend to know the future and pontificate about it.  Nobody knows what they are talking about when it comes to incorporating spirit with athletic prowess.  Ability can be measured to some degree, but heart and soul cannot.  That was the difference between the teams last night.  Tom was certain of a win and Eli just went out and played harder.  The Giants played harder too and the results are Superbowl history.

But to me, the real question is, how does Payton feel about his kid brother's win? Sure, part of him is probably happy for the kid, but deep inside one has to wonder what he's really feeling. Let's just leave it at happy for him--I like Payton too much to think of his as a regular human being.

This is for the kids at home

So what was this M.I.A. bird-flipping thing about?  Do people with less talent have to do something outrageous in order to get PR?  I mean, shades of Janet Jackson, what was she thinking?  It's bad enough fathers at home are drinking and farting in front of their impressionable young boys, but for a television station to show such negative and indecent behavior is horrible, yet becoming the norm.


I say we, as red-blooded, conservative Americans, boycott watching next years Superbowl, unless the Giants repeat or the Jets have a miracle season.

Conservatweet Sunday

 I went through my own favorite tweets yesterday and came up with a slew of tweets to friends or just to the open tweet air that I sent on Twitter since the end of last May.  I expanded each tweet when necessary for it to make sense to those of you who are abbreviation-impaired, or simply want an easier read.  I also made comments on many of the postings just to maintain my air of arrogant conservatism amongst those liberals who may stumble across them.  Then I put them into a free ebook on a site called Smashwords.com.  Here it is:  Conservatweets on ebooks  It's actually quite funny what some of the liberals  say to me and about me--they're so furious with my different viewpoint, it makes them want to spit and hit me with their purses.

 As you may also know, I wrote a novel, which was published at Amazon, and is also available at Smashwords.com.  It's about 84 thousand words long and about a guy who is taken prisoner by Islamic terrorists who demand from Obama that an exchange be made of him for three Gitmo terrorists, or else they will kill him.  It takes place in my hometown, Manhattan, and heads out to their safe house.  The ebook version is about 3 bucks and the soft cover book is $14.50.  Anyway, I think there's a football game on TV today with some New York football team playing a bunch of guys from New England.  Maybe I'll check it out.

Friday's Flushings

Lance Armstrong is off the hook for blood doping--no reason given but I suspect it may have to do with the fact that cancer survivors don't make very good villains.

On the sports front, my New York Giants (I bought the team this year) are playing my sister's New England Patriots.  Remember when they called them the Boston Patriots? Looks like too many New Englanders were upset that the team was too geographically pinpointed and wanted to feel that the Patriots belonged to them.  If you're reading this blog, there's a good chance you're a patriot but may still be pulling for New York.  Thought: the term "pulling for" probably comes from the tug-o-war contest. Just a guess.  I need to get chips and beer to prepare . . . maybe some salsa.

Puerto Rico now has more iguanas than people living on the island, this from Fox News. But they never speak to the fact that there are more rats living in Manhattan than people. Personally, I'd take iguanas any day.

Eric Withholder was in the hotseat today and did what Newt did when the MSM attacked him: he attacked the GOP Congressional committee that questioned his questionable leadership or coverup, whichever you believe. Holder is pretending that this is only a political ploy to make the Democrats look bad, but I don't believe they need any help.  He can try to deflect from his inaction and thus, his incompetence, or his knowledge of the operation and thus, his culpability.  In either case, he should go.

Egypt is still dealing with the soccer riots and a kidnapping of several elderly women who were taken by Bedoins to seek release of family in Cairo prisons.  No word if the prisoners were released, but the captives were let go and are okay, except for the dreams they'll likely have for the rest of their lives.  Foreigners are definitely being targeted.  Ah, I hear the birdies sing about the Arab spring--thank you Obama. and Hillary.  Let's also not do anything about Mexico--you're very adept at not being adept.

Roseanne Barr has made an announcement that she plans to run for President of the United States of America on a Green Party ticket.  If in fact she gets on the ticket, I think the Green Party will finally get who they deserve.  I wonder how her beheading program will pan out. and whether or not they'll allow her to sing the National Anthem.


Well, the weekend is here and we're just hours away from kickoff.  I hope you all have a safe and pleasant weekend and that you remain safe.  Snow is expected in Colorado, so be careful if you live out there.  I didn't put up a photo of Roseanne Barr out of respect for your eyes.

Iran's Love Affair with Destroying Israel

Iran is posturing with the Ayatolla saying that Israel, a cancer, must be eliminated. They are obviously developing a nuclear weapon--if you don't believe that, you are naive. Leon Panetta opened his mouth to say that he believes Israel is going to launch an attack on Iran anytime from April to June of this year. This is not unlike Obama telling our enemies in Iraq and Afghanistan what our war strategies are going to be in order to help them prepare for it.  But perhaps Panetta had a reason or a strategy for spilling the beans--he may have wanted to provide Obama with a way to avoid going to war with Iran--it's Obama's style to walk the other way when there's a problem.. Except this is not very honorable when the problem has to do with your friend getting mugged.

Part of me wants to punch Panetta in the nose for tipping Israel's hand, and with a nose like Panetta's, it might just kill him. But I believe that he is probably correct in saying that Israel is going to do something soon.  Israel is the only country in the world where its enemies don't simply want to defeat it in war, perhaps to take back some land like the "Palestinians" say they wish to do; they want to destroy Israel and kill every Jew in it. This is not typical of what most wars are fought for, but this is a significant part of the Islamic religious mandate, the anti-Semitism in the Koran.  Ask most Muslims what they think of Jews and hear what they have to say.

Israel is also claiming that Iran has developed a nuclear delivery system that can reach the United States--so this is not just Israel's problem anymore, if you believe what was said by Israel. Again, to disregard the possible threat of Iran's nuclear capability or impending capability can be suicidal. Iran is not afraid to strike with nuclear weapons--they are not afraid to die, but welcome it. That's called Jihad, my friends, and that guarantees Paradise in their way of thinking.  To not take the Ayatolla at his word, and to not believe Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, is foolish, and also suicidal.

Is Leon Panetta Trying to Help Iran Against Israel?

Is Leon Panetta trying to destroy Israel? Is he trying to warn Iran that Israel plans an attack on their nuclear facilities? Is Obama calling the shots on this one or is Panetta shooting from the hip, like the entire DoJ did with Fast and Furious where Eric Holder allegedly knew nothing?

I cannot fathom the reason why our DefenseSecretary, Leon Panetta, would make public his belief or knowledge that not only does he expect an Israeli attack on Iran is coming, but that it will happen in April, May, or June.  He said this to David Ignatius of the Washington Post. Panetta would not confirm this.

It's bad enough Obama has disrespected Bibi Netanyahu and Israel, but this is more than disrespect--it's dangerous. But since when is it considered a mistake to telegraph  military plans to the enemy--Obama does it all the time.  We told them in Iraq and now we've told them in Afghanistan.  This is proof that not only is Obama incompetent to help grow an economy, he is equally as incompetent to be Commander in Chief.  I truly believe that the lives of our brave men and women lost in these wars were diminished by his failed military policies and rules of engagement.

Not So Fast, Furious Holder

 Eric Holder was scheduled to testify today on the now famous operation known as Fast and Furious. Briefly, this operation, aka Project Gunrunner,  was Arizona-based and designed to be a sting operation whereby the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), which is an arm of the Department of Justice, allowed "straw buyers" to purchase weapons from Arizona gun shops and move them across the border into Mexico to be used by the drug cartels.  The ATF then was supposed to trace them and stop the gun-trafficking .  And while that's what the DoJ is telling us, I'm not so sure they are being totally honest (yeah, like that isn't worth a ROFLMAO moment).

The Acting Director of the ATF, Kenneth Melson, has been spilling his guts to avoid the administration from pushing him under the bus by taking the fall for what has to involve, at the very least, the US Attorney's Office, FBI, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and possibly the Homeland Security Department.  This probably has Eric Holder's skivvies all twisted up if Melson knew about any involvement at the top.


The House committees investigating the DoJ, headed by Rep. Darrell Issa and Sen. Charles Grassley, have accused the Justice Department of blocking their investigation.  You probably are aware that the operation led to the death of Border Agent Brian Terry and hundreds of Mexican nationals. Most disturbing beyond this was that taxpayer financing from other federal agencies may have funded this crazy scheme.

Issa said of Holder's umm, withholding: "It is one thing to argue that the ends justifies the means in an attempt to defend a policy that puts building a big case ahead of stopping known criminals from getting guns.  Yet it is a much more serious matter to conceal from Congress the possible involvement of other agencies in identifying and maybe even working with the same criminals that Operation Fast and Furious was trying to identify."


Holder, while answering questions, pulled a Gingrich--he attacked the questioners with statements claiming it is beneath the auspices of a Congressman to ask probing questions. He would obviously not like to be questioned or implicated in any involvement with this illegal operation.

There are 93 thousand documents that Holder refuses to give to the committee.   Democrats are saying that this entire debacle is political, having nothing to do with the fact that Holder may be involved. We now know that he lied when he originally said that he only knew of the operation for a few weeks, having to "walk back" that statement to say he knew of it for a couple of months, then saying that both statements don't contradict each other. (He also is hard-pressed to say what the definition of the word "is" is.)  For Holder, a couple of weeks, a couple of months, well, it's his version of legal accuracy--you can't nail him on it.


What we can be certain of, is that these hearings are just heating up and the heat is on Holder.

Why Our Friends Kill Us

A face only a mother could love

There was an interesting report from Fox News online today where it said that lawmakers from the House Armed Services Committee are telling our military that they must do better screening of the Afghan security forces that serve with American troops.  There reason for this is that they are killing our guys who fight alongside them. The question is, what is it that they must screen for in order to ensure this will not recur?  They also admit that even with new safeguards in place, they don't believe that it will totally eliminate the problem.  So, what can we do?

The increase in attacks has been most recent--since 2007, seventy-five percent of the over 40 incidents happened in the past two years.  They claim that "most of the attackers acted out of personal motivation and were not directed by insurgents," and these attacks killed 70 coalition troops while wounding 110. 

Personal motivation seems to be a convenient way of leaving out the truth.  What personally motivates Afghan troops to kill Americans?  Did one of our men tell one of the Afghans that his mother smells like a camel?  No, of course not.  The truth is, the Afghans who did this were probably motivated by something even more personal to them than a simple inappropriate insult--they were probably motivated to kill due to something they hold important in their belief system--they were motivated by Islam.  (I wrote the word "religion" before deleting it and writing Islam--I don't see Islam as a religion in the same way we Westerners see religion.  Islam is more a geopolitical doctrine that we are being taught in America deserves more respect than any other religion lest we insult Muslims and they start killing us all over again.)

People are not normally willing to blow themselves up unless by doing so they get something out of it--something more desirable in their small, miserable lives than they are getting now.  Let's call it Paradise, 72 virgins who, no matter how many times you have at them, they remain virgins, and rivers of wine that flow all over the place, and palaces and other fairytale things a desert dweller would find worth blowing themselves up for.  And 72 virgins is just the low end of the heavenly virgin allotment.  The more infidels you kill for Allah, the more virgins you get--oh, and you never get tired of the sex and are always ready to perform.  No, I am not making this up.

Only 5-10% want to kill you

Islam is a religion of peace, they say, but forget to add that it becomes so only after everyone is saying "Allahu Akbar,"  and prays toward Mecca. 

So you think maybe this is why the Afghan troops are self-motivated to kill American troops? You think it just occurred to each of them individually and had nothing to do with what's written in their "holy" books?  If you do, then you might be a liberal.
