Trump will be suing the Wall Street Journal, NewsCorp. and its CEO, Rupert Murdoch

Well, folks, the media’s at it again, slinging mud at President Trump with a story so absurd it sounds like it was cooked up in a tabloid’s basement, or maybe the Babylon Bee. 

On Thursday, Trump dropped a bombshell, revealing that he and his Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, got a heads-up from none other than Rupert Murdoch about a forthcoming Wall Street Journal hit piece. The claim was that Trump allegedly drew a picture of a woman’s breasts and signed it with a birthday note to the late, not so great, disgraced Jeffrey Epstein. 

Yes, that Jeffrey Epstein.

The alleged note, according to the report, read: "Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret." Sounds like something out of a bad spy novel, not a Trump letter, and not something stupid enough that a person of his standing would put in writing.

Trump and Leavitt didn’t mince words. They went straight to WSJ editor Emma Tucker and called the letter what it is: “a FAKE.” Trump himself was crystal clear when The Journal came sniffing around. "I never wrote a picture in my life. I don’t draw pictures of women," he said, adding, "It’s not my language. It’s not my words." Hard to argue with that, because nobody on this planet can really picture Trump sitting down with a sketchpad and a birthday card for Epstein.

But, in true legacy media fashion, The Wall Street Journal ran the story anyway, facts be damned. 

Trump wasn’t having it. He took to Truth Social, firing off a post that pulled no punches and announced he’s gearing up to sue The WSJ, NewsCorp, and Murdoch himself. "President Trump has already beaten George Stephanopoulos/ABC, 60 Minutes/CBS, and others, and looks forward to suing and holding accountable the once great Wall Street Journal," he wrote. "It has truly turned out to be a ‘Disgusting and Filthy Rag’ and, writing defamatory lies like this, shows their desperation to remain relevant."

And he didn’t stop there. Trump pointed out the obvious: if there was even a shred of truth to this so-called "Epstein Hoax," the usual suspects: Comey, Brennan, "Crooked Hillary," and the rest of the Radical Left Lunatics would’ve been waving it around years ago. "It certainly would not have sat in a file waiting for ‘TRUMP’ to have won three Elections," he added. "This is yet another example of FAKE NEWS!"

And there you have it, folks. Another day, another media smear campaign. The WSJ, once a titan of journalism, seems more interested in peddling fiction than reporting facts and is best used for wrapping dead fish. 

Trump’s not backing down, and if his track record is any indication, The Journal might want to lawyer up.

Fox Board, Paul Ryan, the Murdochs involved with Tucker's firing: report

The eight members of the Fox Corporation board, consisting of eight members that include Paul Ryan and two Murdoch family members, were involved with getting Tucker Carlson fired, according to reports.

The day before the Dominion trial was set to begin, and before the network's number one money maker in the entire cable industry was fired, Fox’s board of directors reviewed previously disclosed text messages sent by Carlson to his producer that caused the board to hatch a plan to hire a law firm to investigate Carlson, two sources told New York Times.

“It remains unclear how the text escaped more notice earlier, given that the Fox legal team was aware of it and other offensive texts written by Mr. Carlson,” the Times reported. “Mr. Carlson had even been asked about it during a deposition, according to several people who have read the unredacted transcripts of his deposition.”

The board is probably going to undergo close scrutiny regarding its handling of the Dominion voting machine case during additional legal action in Delaware, which may include Carlson's texts.

Former speaker of the House Paul Ryan, Fox Corporation Chair Rupert Murdoch, and Murdoch’s son, Lachlan Murdoch, are prominent members of Fox’s board.

“How Fox’s executives and board handled the case in the months before the trial was scheduled to begin is expected to be at issue in shareholder lawsuits filed against the company in Delaware,” the Times reported. “Though Mr. Carlson’s show, ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight,’ was only a small factor in the Dominion suit, his personal texts were drawing outsize scrutiny.”

Once the lawsuit with Dominion was settled, Carlson was fired. After the settlement was complete, a Fox News source told Breitbart News that there was a meeting with the Murdochs and potentially Paul Ryan.

Shortly after the Dominion lawsuit was settled, Carlson was ousted. A Fox News source told Breitbart News an important meeting involving the Murdochs and potentially Paul Ryan occurred at Fox after the settlement that led to Carlson’s ouster.

“After the Dominion settlement, there was clearly a meeting at the network—I don’t know if it was a board meeting or just the Murdochs, but someone made a decision—and said these two are the biggest threats to the network and they don’t listen to anyone,” the source told Breitbart News about Carlson as well as Dan Bongino who had been fired prior to Carlson.

The Dominion settlement, along with additional legal exposure, changed the board’s outlook on Carlson and ultimately led to his ouster. The Murdochs were rattled, sources told Breitbart News.

BREAKING: Tucker Carlson's firing may now be known

Although the precise reason Tucker Carlson was fired from his highly successful cable show on the Fox News Network has not been officially confirmed, it may now be known. The "decider" was apparently Rupert Murdoch. 

Sources have told various outlets that there were several factors involved with Fox's decision. The Los Angeles Times was told that Murdoch was worried about Carlson's coverage of the January 6, 2021 attack on Capitol Hill whereby Carlson downplayed the scene as "mostly peaceful chaos" and said the attack was provoked by government agents.

Carlson was criticized by many people for his opinions, including some Republican senators. “The American people saw what happened on Jan. 6,” Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) explained to reporters. “They’ve seen the people that got injured, they saw the damage to the building. You can’t hide the truth by selectively picking a few minutes out of tapes and saying this is what went on. It’s so absurd. It’s nonsense.”

Another decision to fire Carlson was likely inspired by accusations his ex-producer Abby Grossberg made according to the L.A. Times. She had been moved from Sunday Morning Futures With Maria Bartiromo to Tucker Carlson Tonight where she claimed she was bullied and a target of anti-Semitic rhetoric.

Grossberg filed a lawsuit against Fox last month, accusing Fox lawyers of coercing her into giving misleading testimony in the legal battle with Dominion Voting Systems, the New York Times wrote.

Axios also cited Grossberg as a factor in Carlson’s exit. The news outlet pointed to Carlson’s attempt to get Fox’s White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich, the Fox White House correspondent, fired for fact-checking a tweet from former president Donald Trump.

According to a representative from Dominion Voting Systems, which settled with the outlet for $787.5 million, Carlson's firing was not related to the lawsuit, which accused Fox of defamation for allowing hosts and guests to make false claims about the company regarding election-fraud.

The Dominion discovery process revealed negative comments Carlson made about the company and others, including Trump, who the anchor said he hates passionately.

“Do the executives understand how much credibility and trust we’ve lost with our audience?,” Carlson wrote a day after Fox called the election for Joe Biden, the Washington Post reported. Carlson expressed the same sentiment in another message, using an expletive: “Those f**kers are destroying our credibility,” he wrote.

More information implicating Carlson and legally damaging for Fox News could be out there as the company faces the possibility of additional defamation suits.

Bette Midler calls for Tucker Carlson and Newt Gingrich to be thrown in prison

Former entertainer Bette Midler, 76, took a brave stance by calling for FOX News host Tucker Carlson and Newt Gingrich to be thrown in jail and for Rupert Murdoch to have his American citizenship revoked.

The contrarian bravery Midler expressed was inspiring. Clearly, nobody on the left would ever have the guts to tweet that "[T]ucker Carlson should be arrested and tried for sedition and fomenting insurrection." She must have known her brave tweet would receive flak from people who believe that anyone should be allowed to speak whatever they want to say, unless their words call for violence. How dare they!

But that wasn't the end of Midler's unbiased attack. She next went after former Republican Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich and Rupert Murdoch, owner of News Corporation, which is the parent company of FOX News.

Speaking on behalf of the nation, the elderly Midler wrote: "Murdoch should have his citizenship revoked; the damage he continues to do to our democracy will soon become irreparable." 

Unfortunately, Ms. Midler's definition of democracy must have been acquired after sundown, as her

 "Sundowning" syndrome evidently kicked in.

Bette was on a roll. She next claimed on Wednesday that "Newt Gingrich should be clapped in irons [i.e., jailed abruptly] for getting him past the FCC." The 'him' she was referring to was Murdoch.

On Saturday she again attacked Murdoch and referred to him as a dictator. It's unclear what made her believe that, but what is clear is that she is often unclear.

Midler, who voted for Joe Biden for President because she thought he would be the best man for the job, shared an infographic that depicted billionaires who own large media companies. Although she was again ranting and raving about Rupert Murdoch, the 2018 infographic and the corresponding BBC article did not mention Murdoch at all.

"Sadly, this list leaves off the most vicious, the ugliest, the most hate-filled owner of all, Rupert Murdoch, Tucker Carlson’s master, who has ruined political discourse all around the world," Midler said, then added a quote she apparently made up, "'Own the press & 1/2 the work of. dictatorship is done.'"

The aged actress clutched her pearls and ungrammatically asked, "We will survive Murdoch?"

She 'marathon tweeted' about Murdoch and Carlson almost 30 times, desperate to save the country from a different point of view, where there are only two genders, all babies count, and the cops are the good guys.

Earlier this month, the New York Times, a hard-left, disreputable newspaper that makes an excellent birdcage liner, ran several hit pieces on Carlson – which he laughed off.

The irrelevant actress posted a tweet on Wednesday using a famous phrase from the United States Declaration of Independence. She attempted to make a coherent hyperbolic connection to the Buffalo supermarket shooting in which a mentally ill 18-year-old white supremacist killed ten black people. 

"We have 'unalienable rights?' 'Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness?' How are citizens supposed to believe in these sacred principles if they are getting slaughtered every time they go to the store? If a government can’t deliver on this foundational promise, it’s worthless," Midler ranted.

Taking life lessons from people who hate you isn't ever a good idea. Taking advice from someone who tweeted that the solution to the baby formula shortage in the nation is: "TRY BREASTFEEEDING! It’s free and available on demand,” is like taking advice from someone whose IQ is below room temperature.

"So here you have an elderly, out-of-touch, rich, liberal lady lecturing struggling American moms to shut up and suffer in silence and, by the way, make your baby shut up, too," Tucker Carlson said of Midler. "Now, if you can think of a more perfect distillation of modern politics of the left circa 2022 than that, send us an email and let us know what it is, because we've never seen anything that perfect."

Bill O'Reilly gone from Fox News

Bill O'Reilly is no longer going to be the Fox News icon--he's done. He has been forced out as a prime-time host after it has been disclosed that multiple settlements involving sexual harassment allegations have been made against him.

O'Reilly's ouster ends his two-decades as the most popular and influential cable TV commentator.

"After a thorough and careful review of the allegations, the company and Bill O'Reilly have agreed that Bill O'Reilly will not be returning to the Fox News Channel," 21st Century Fox, the parent company of Fox News, said in a statement.

To the credit of Fox News Channel, they stood by O'Reilly even after the allegations of sexual harassment were piled on. He reached settlements with five women to the tune of around $13 million.

Apparently, after more than 50 advertisers abandoned O'Reilly's show, "The Factor," it was time for Fox to call it quits. 

The New York Times reported that inside the company, women were outraged and questioned whether Fox executives were "serious about maintaining a culture based on 'trust and respect,' as they had promised last summer when another sexual harassment scandal forced the ouster of Fox News' chairman, Roger Ailes."

O'Reilly, 67, didn't comment on his status since he left on vacation last week, but his attorney issued a statement Tuesday calling it a "smear campaign" by liberal opponents. It said that Mr. O'Reilly "has been subjected to a brutal campaign of character assassination that is unprecedented in post-McCarthyist America.

With the 8 p.m. spot empty, Fox will move Tucker Carlson in that time-slot and move "The Five" from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Beginning May 1st, Eric Bolling will debut a one-hour program at 5:00 p.m. Martha MacCallum's show, "First 100 Days" will remain permanent. Perhaps they will rename it "First 1461 Days" to cover President Trump's first term in office.

O'Reilly's departure follows that of Roger Ailes who, nine months ago, was forced out as chairman after a sexual harassment lawsuit by former host Gretchen Carlson and at least six other women, all of which he denied. One of those women is Megyn Kelly who also clashed with O'Reilly and has since left Fox for liberal NBC last December.

The message that Rupert Murdoch and his sons are sending is that there is now a change in the company's culture and harassment is unacceptable.
