Fox's Eric Bolling suspended

La La Land -- Fox News has suspended Eric Bolling, the co-host of "The Specialists" while they investigate allegations that he sent a lewd photo to co-workers.

Fox News announced on Saturday that Bolling was suspended while it investigates a report that "The Specialists" co-host sent at least three female colleagues a lewd message.

Bolling's lawyer, Michael J. Bowe, said the allegations are false and that Bolling will cooperate with the investigation.

The suspension came just one day after a Huffington Post report using anonymous sources stated Bolling sent a lewd photo to at least three female colleagues at Fox News and Fox Business.

Some speculate that the anonymous sources are Debby Wasserman-Schultz and Maxine Waters, but that has not been corroborated.

"The anonymous, uncorroborated claims are untrue and terribly unfair," Bowe wrote in an email Saturday. "We intend to fully cooperate with the investigation so that it can be concluded and Eric can return to work as quickly as possible."

Bolling joined Fox News in 2008 after working as a commodities trader. He is a staunch supporter of the president, and it is possible that this is what angered Waters and Wasserman-Schultz, but again, this is merely speculation.

The suspension is the latest in a cluster of sexual harassment complaints against high-testosterone personalities on Fox News and Fox Business Network.

My anonymous source, who goes by the pseudonym Vinny Boombots, claims that the lewd photos of what is supposed to be Eric Bolling's genitalia is actually the genitalia of Caitlyn Jenner.

Go figure.

Bill O'Reilly gone from Fox News

(Photo: Fox News Channel)
Bill O'Reilly is no longer going to be the Fox News icon--he's done. He has been forced out as a prime-time host after it has been disclosed that multiple settlements involving sexual harassment allegations have been made against him.

O'Reilly's ouster ends his two-decades as the most popular and influential cable TV commentator.

"After a thorough and careful review of the allegations, the company and Bill O'Reilly have agreed that Bill O'Reilly will not be returning to the Fox News Channel," 21st Century Fox, the parent company of Fox News, said in a statement.

To the credit of Fox News Channel, they stood by O'Reilly even after the allegations of sexual harassment were piled on. He reached settlements with five women to the tune of around $13 million.

Apparently, after more than 50 advertisers abandoned O'Reilly's show, "The Factor," it was time for Fox to call it quits.

The New York Times reported that inside the company, women were outraged and questioned whether Fox executives were "serious about maintaining a culture based on 'trust and respect,' as they had promised last summer when another sexual harassment scandal forced the ouster of Fox News' chairman, Roger Ailes."

O'Reilly, 67, didn't comment on his status since he left on vacation last week, but his attorney issued a statement Tuesday calling it a "smear campaign" by liberal opponents. It said that Mr. O'Reilly "has been subjected to a brutal campaign of character assassination that is unprecedented in post-McCarthyist America.

With the 8 p.m. spot empty, Fox will move Tucker Carlson in that time-slot and move "The Five" from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Beginning May 1st, Eric Bolling will debut a one-hour program at 5:00 p.m. Martha MacCallum's show, "First 100 Days" will remain permanent. Perhaps they will rename it "First 1461 Days" to cover President Trump's first term in office.

O'Reilly's departure follows that of Roger Ailes who, nine months ago, was forced out as chairman after a sexual harassment lawsuit by former host Gretchen Carlson and at least six other women, all of which he denied. One of those women is Megyn Kelly who also clashed with O'Reilly and has since left Fox for liberal NBC last December.

The message that Rupert Murdoch and his sons are sending is that there is now a change in the company's culture and harassment is unacceptable.

Why I'm No Longer Going to Watch The Five on Fox News

My favorite television program for several years has been The Five on Fox News Network. Nobody in my family will bother me on weekdays at 5:00 pm because they know I'll be glued to my TV. And honestly, I'm not a big TV guy--I generally can do without it, but I enjoy the humor of Greg Gutfeld, the intelligence of Dana Perino (not to say Gutfeld isn't brilliant in his own way), as well as Andrea Tantaros, Kimberley Guilfoyle, and the rest of the regular staff. But I can no longer tolerate Bob Beckel.

Beckel is a foul-mouth liberal whose greatest source of pride seems to me to be the fact that his father marched with Martin Luther King, Jr. fifty years ago. I disagree with most of Beckel's politics, and that's to be expected because he's a liberal, but I will not tolerate him calling white people in Texas, who are in favor of voter ID, "Crackers." He has gone over the line again, and I've decided to use my time more wisely at 5:00 pm.

I am not a person who looks to have people removed from their livelihood. People need to work (except for Obama's Food Stamp Forces) and provide for their family. But I don't have to support them and I refuse to do this in Beckel's case.

I generally find Fox News to be, as they claim, "fair and balanced." It seems, however, that the fairness they espouse is not reciprocated by most media on the left, and I think it's time conservatives stop accepting this imbalance. I say shut off the microphones on both sides once they've had their time to speak, and allow the other side to respond--that's fair and balanced.

But Beckel--he needs to be disciplined for his foul mouth. As for me, I'm done with Beckeling.
