IDF readies for immediate return of high level fighting

The officials are clear, even if the diplomats are not: despite the much-vaunted official truce, the United States continues to quietly amass undisclosed forces across the Middle East. They are preparing, coldly and methodically, for the moment when force is not merely an option but the only one left.

With the peace talks in Islamabad collapsing without so much as a scrap of agreement, the Israeli security establishment is steeling itself for a rapid and uncompromising return to full-scale military operations.

Senior officials have made plain that the Israel Defense Forces now stand at their highest state of alert, braced for what one described as the “immediate collapse” of the entire diplomatic charade.

Prime Minister Netanyahu has summoned an emergency session of the small security cabinet for 7:00 PM this evening, to confront the latest grim developments and align next steps with Washington.

According to well-placed defense sources, the cooperation between Israel and the United States has reached a level of intimacy and seriousness without modern precedent. The two nations now maintain a joint “target bank” of staggering scope, encompassing a vast array of maritime and land-based Iranian assets.
The Israeli military’s gaze is not fixed solely on the northern front. It is also immersed in meticulous planning for what could become a full-scale naval war in the Persian Gulf.

“The IDF is ready for the immediate collapse of the negotiation process and a return to intense fighting in both defense and offense,” a security source told reporters with characteristic Israeli bluntness.

This state of readiness rests upon a deep, almost seamless synchronization with U.S. Central Command, and a shared, clear recognition that a naval blockade may now be the only realistic means of strangling the Iranian regime’s nuclear ambitions.

Israeli officials understand with cold clarity that a total maritime siege would do far more than merely halt oil exports. It would cut off the very “oxygen” that sustains the Revolutionary Guard's iron grip on the country.

Though the ceasefire between the United States and Iran remains technically intact for the moment, the Israeli cabinet meeting tonight is expected to grapple with a harsher truth: that the so-called “diplomatic bridge” is not merely under strain, but actively crumbling before our eyes. Officials note that despite the official truce, the U.S. military is continuing to build up undisclosed forces in the Middle East, preparing for a scenario where force becomes the only option.

The Israeli leadership is sending an unmistakable signal to the world: it does not believe a genuine deal is anywhere in sight. It is therefore preparing both its military and its people for the grim likelihood that this war will reignite with a ferocity even greater than before.

With the Saturday summit in Pakistan ending without signature or substance, the “high tension” now palpable in Jerusalem leaves little room for doubt: the window for diplomacy has narrowed almost to the point of vanishing.

Here they go again: Taliban captures 3 more provincial capitals, totaling 6

Man with small penis holds RPG

Islamabad -- The radical Sunni movement [radical in that they follow the teachings of their prophet Mohammad to the letter] known as the Taliban, continues to capture more provincial capitals in Afghanistan. On Monday morning they captured a sixth, known as Samangan. They did so without a fight after community elders pleaded with their leaders to spare the city from more violence after weeks of intense fighting on the outskirts, according to Samanani deputy governor of the province.

The Taliban were now in "full control and their spokes terrorist confirmed the city had been won by them.

“The governor accepted and withdrew all the forces from the city,” Samangani added, saying the Taliban were now in “full control.”

A Taliban spokesman confirmed the city had been taken.

On Sunday evening, after expelling government forces, the Taliban entered Taloqan, the capital of Takhar province, and hoisted its flag over the main square of the country’s seventh-largest city. No rainbow flags flew that day and nobody in the capital took a knee as the flag was hoisted.

So here's the score: over the past three days, the Taliban [pronounced by former President Barack Obama as "Tahleebahn" and Pakistan as "Pahkeestahn"] has taken control of capitals Zaranj, Sheberghan, Kunduz, and Sar-e-Pol.

The capture of Kunduz, the country’s sixth-largest city, is the biggest score so far for the Taliban.

Meanwhile, multiple rockets were fired at Kandahar International Airport on Saturday and Sunday, which Biden responded to by mumbling something about gun control and ice cream flavors.

It's the fifth time in three weeks that the airport has come under rocket fire. Fighting between the Taliban and Afghan security forces continues in Kandahar, Herat and Lashkar Gah.

It looks like Biden's plan to make peace with the Taliban is working. Just leave and let them have at it and they'll leave us alone.

Former Paki president Pervez Musharraf sentenced to death

Former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf has been sentenced to death for treason. He was charged in 2013 and found guilty.

Musharraf has been living outside the country and was sentenced in absentia on Tuesday on charges of high treason after his decision to get rid of the nation's constitution and detain judges in 2007.

According to Salman Nadeem, a law officer, he told Reuters that Musharraf was found guilty of Article 6 “for violation of the constitution of Pakistan.” The three-person court ruled in favor of the sentence 2-1.

“For the first time in the history of Pakistan... a military dictator has been punished by a court of law," Hamid Ali Khan, a senior Supreme Court lawyer, said following the verdict.

The Democrats are hoping to do the same to President Trump but it isn't going so well for them at this time.

Akhtar Shah, one of Musharraf's attorneys, said they will appeal the decision.

“Musharraf today sent me a message, saying he is ready to come to Pakistan but his doctors are not allowing him to travel," Shah told The Associated Press following the ruling. He added that Musharraf offered to give a statement to the court through a video link but the request was denied.

Musharraf has been living in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, and is said to be very ill and unlikely to travel home to face the sentence. That would apparently be suicide in more ways than one.

Pakistan and the UAE have no extradition treaty and Emirati authorities are unlikely to arrest the former wannabe dictator. If he were to return, however, Musharraf would have the right to challenge his conviction and sentence in court.

The weasel came to power in 1999 from a coup, much like the Democrats are trying to exercise in the United States. He was forced to relinquish his golden throne in 2008 and was charged  in 2013. But due to his medical condition he was allowed to leave Pakistan on bail in 2016 and seek medical treatment abroad.

In his notorious purge in 2007, Musharraf imposed a state of emergency and placed several key judges under house arrest in the capital, Islamabad, and elsewhere in Pakistan.

However, his move to suspend the constitution backfired, leading to widespread protests by the country's powerful legal community. Musharraf read the writing on the wall and fled the country.

Musharraf was hospitalized again last week in Dubai but the state of his health or a specific reason for this hospitalization has not been made public.

Two weeks ago he released a video message saying he was ready to record his statement about the charge of treason for the court, but said he was unable to travel to Pakistan.

During the video Musharraf looked like crap. He claimed the treason charges were baseless and that he served Pakistan for ten years.

“I have fought for my country,” he says in the video. “This is a case in which I have not been heard and I have been victimized."

Like the judges he detained.

Mehrene Malik Adam, the secretary-general of Musharraf’s small opposition party All Pakistan Muslim League, also denounced the trial that led to the death sentence, just in case the shoe was ever on the other foot.

“Legal requirements were not met and our lawyers were not given the opportunity to present their case," she said.

Perhaps they were detained.

Trump gets tough with Pakistan

President Trump was handed a pile of horse manure by former President Barack Obama and now he's trying to use it as fertilizer.

Regarding Pakistan, Trump said they provide a safe haven for terrorists we hunt in Afghanistan and after all the money we've given them in the past, the future is going to change for them.

Here's what Trump tweeted:
"The United States has foolishly given Pakistan more than 33 billion dollars in aid over the last 15 years, and they have given us nothing but lies & deceit, thinking of our leaders as fools. They give safe haven to the terrorists we hunt in Afghanistan, with little help. No more!"
To his credit, President Trump's grammar has improved and he only used one exclamation point to end his tweet. This is progress and I hope to see more of that this year.

But seriously, he needs to do what he's implying and cut off aid (aka jizya) to the country that harbored Osama bin Laden and who not so secretly hate us. It's time for us to get behind those countries that truly ally with our beliefs, like India, for example.

Obama et al, believed that by sending money to Islamabad, we'd somehow be assisted in our fight against terrorism, but instead, Islamabad did exactly the opposite.

"No more!" hopefully means no more. After announcing his national security strategy last month Trump said, "We make massive payments every year to Pakistan . . . They have to help."

On Monday, Trump's rhetoric was clearly harsher in his tweet, his first this year, but certainly not his last.

He suggests ending the discussion within the administration and the decision to deliver on his threat to punish Pakistan for failing to cooperate on counterterrorism.

Pakistan Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif responded to Trumps tweet with a warning tweet of his own:
"We will respond to President Trump's tweet shortly inshallah . . . Will let the world know the truth . . . difference between facts and fiction."
Vivvek Katju, former Ambassador to Afghanistan, told NDTV that Trump's tweet "is a reflection of his frustration and impatience."

I call it 'strategic impatience.'

Katju said it's all America's fault. He said that "Pakistan is a master at playing the Americans."

I believe he was unwittingly referring to the previous administrations.

4 jihadists, 2 soldiers killed in religious attack in Pakistan

Religion debate club

Islamabad, (Where 'Islam' and 'Bad' come together) -- Pakistan officials and military reported that a group of jihadists have attacked a mosque at an army facility in northwest Pakistan (pronounced "Pahkeestahn" by Barack Obama) leading to a northwestern-style shootout. Four Islamic jihadists and two Muslim soldiers were killed.

What sparked the attack on the mosque was due to the religious differences within the religion of peace.

The army said in a statement that 14 troops were also wounded in the suicide attack on Ghalani Camp located in the Mohmand tribal region on the Afghan border. No goats or other non-human creatures were hurt in the attack.

The attackers tried to enter the camp and began firing once they reached the mosque. Many residents and army recruits were present. The statement said the four jihadists were "contained in the outer courtyard" of the mosque and all four were killed by the military.

A search operation is underway to find and arrest any accomplices of the jihadists. They are looking for young, Middle Eastern-looking men, possibly in their 20's to 40's with henna-dyed beards without mustaches (Mohammed wore his that way), zebibahs (aka prayer bumps, from praying five times a day), suicide vests donned by men with sweaty heads and/or hand tremors, or automatic weapons, pressure cookers, knives, trucks or RPG launchers.

Authorities warn that if you hear the shout of "Allahu Akbar!" quickly retreat away from the sound and seek shelter.

Sunnis Killing Shi'tes Killing Infidels, Killing, Killing

Islamabad (as opposed to Islamagood) Pakistan -- a Shi'ite mosque in southern Pakistan was bombed. The death toll was 56 and 31  were wounded, during Friday prayers. As you may know, all Islamic prayers began with Al Fatiha, a prayer which praises Allah and concludes with:

"Guide us on the straight path, the path of those who have received your grace; not the path of those who have brought down wrath, nor of those who wander astray."

Al Fatiha, because it starts off each sura, is recited a minimum of 17 times a day. In the prayer, the people who are referred to as "those who have brought down wrath" [from Allah] are the Jews. And "those who wander astray" are the Christians.

Last month, 150 people, mostly children, were killed at a Peshawar school. The school, like the mosque, was Shi'ite, and the terrorists were Sunni, a group called Jundullah claiming responsibility.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif condemned the violence, calling it a suicide bombing, but the cause is still under investigation. It may have been a planted bomb to ensure that no Islamic terrorists were hurt in making this latest attack.

Fahad Mahsud, a Jundallah terrorist group spokes-scum, claimed responsibility for the attack in a phone call to the Associated Press, but he provided no details as to how the bombing was carried out. His mother must be proud of him, along with the prophet of Islam, Mohammed, for working for such a prestigious terrorist organization.

You see, insofar as Sunnis are concerned, Shi'ites are infidels. Insofar as Shi'ites are concerned, Sunnis are infidels. The rest of the world, to both Sunni and Shi'ites, are infidels. Every Muslim of either belief is supposed to kill everyone else. Pretty screwed up, isn't it?

Shi'ites make up about 15% of Pakistan's population, but the Sunnis don't consider them true Muslims. The division dates back to the death of Mohammed and the question as to who was to take over the leadership of the Muslim nation. The Sunnis believed the leadership should go to Mo's comrades in war, and the new dude in charge should be elected among the best warrior-terrorists. Abu Bakr became the first Caliph. (This name should sound familiar--Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi head of ISIS took the name.)

But there was another group of Muslims who believed the leader should come from Mo's own family, among those specifically appointed by him, or among imams appointed by God herself. (Just kidding--Muslims would never think that God could be a female--they see women as inferior, generally more evil than men, and stupid as goats, which sometimes became a dilemma of choice.)

So the Shia Muslims think that once Mohammed died, the leadership should have been given to his cousin/son-in-law, Ali bin Abu Talib. Thus, all through Islamic history, Shi'ites have not recognized elected Muslim leaders but chose to follow the lineage of imams they thought Mo, or God (same-old, same-old) had appointed. In fact, the word "Shia" in Arabic means a group or supportive party of people, and the term has been shortened from "Shia-t-Ali" or "the Party of Ali."

All-in-all, it's hard to imagine any group, other than their own, that Sunnis or Shi'ites like. If you're not one of them, then you're viewed as an infidel, deserving of the fires of hell, and the more orthodox of both groups would be happy to send you on your way to Jahannam ASAP.

So it's no surprise that Sunni Muslims bombed a Shi'ite mosque, or that both Islamic groups hate Jews and Christians as much as they hate each other. Well, they both really, really hate Jews. They hate Christians slightly less, and are patiently willing to kill them last.

It's quite sad that innocent people have been killed in the name of religion. But make no mistake, this is the reason terrorism exists.
"With or without religion, good people can behave well and bad people can do evil; but for good people to do evil--that takes religion." --Steven Weinberg
I agree with Weinberg in general, but disagree with the notion that all religions can make us do evil. Today, this premise fits best with the one religion that's doing most of the killing of those who do not follow it: Islam.

I don't see any Amish, Jains, Hindus, Jews or Methodists blowing up schools, killing innocent people, or praying for the demise of those from religions that differ from theirs. Yes, some scripture may sound barbaric, but the only scripture that's being followed in such an orthodox manner is "the religion of peace." What a horrible joke.

Islam is far from being a religion of peace. Read the Koran, you'll see.
