House Passes Bipartisan Resolution To Throw Rashida Tlaib's Latest Anti-Israel Tantrum In The Congressional Trash

WASHINGTON—In a development so shocking it briefly caused Capitol Hill to malfunction like a government website on tax day, the House of Representatives actually accomplished something useful Tuesday. Democrats and Republicans united in rare harmony to take the anti-Semitic Rep. Rashida Tlaib's latest anti-Israel performance art piece, escort it gently but firmly to the nearest legislative Port-o-Potty, and set it on fire.

Tlaib's war powers resolution, aimed at handcuffing U.S. military involvement in Lebanon, went down in a solid bipartisan 235-189 vote. Twenty-two Democrats bravely jumped ship from the Michigan congresswoman, joining nearly every Republican in opposition.

In Washington terms, that's the equivalent of the entire room agreeing the fire alarm isn't just another progressive policy proposal.

The measure would have banned U.S. forces from any "hostilities" in Lebanon, a pressing issue if America were, you know, actually fighting there. But facts remain stubbornly uncooperative with Tlaib's worldview, i.e., that the Jewish state needs to be eliminated.

One lonely Republican dissenter was the execrable Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky, whose foreign policy instincts continue to spin wildly like a compass next to an industrial magnet. Time to vote him out.

Michigan's premier anti-Israel activist cosplaying as a member of Congress tried to limit military authority in a nation where America isn't conducting combat operations. It's roughly as urgent as demanding emergency legislation to stop astronauts from invading Saskatchewan.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and most Democrats voted to tie President Donald Trump's hands on using force in Lebanon without congressional permission. Of course, Jeffries had opposed an earlier version of Tlaib's scheme, proving once again that consistency in the Democratic Party is treated like an optional accessory, right next to "supporting the troops."

The whole thing was a concurrent resolution, carrying all the legal weight of a strongly worded Facebook post. Even if it passed, it would never have reached President Trump's desk for a signature, veto, or well-deserved eye-roll.

Tlaib, Congress's only Palestinian American member and Israel's most dedicated congressional tormentor, has spent years accusing the Jewish state of "ethnic cleansing" in Gaza and Lebanon. Republicans correctly note that her laser focus on condemning Israel while giving Hezbollah a rhetorical free pass amounts to providing comfort to an Iranian-backed terrorist outfit.

Strangely missing from Tlaib's resolution was any condemnation of Hezbollah, the terror group that has spent years rocketing Israeli civilians and turning southern Lebanon into its personal launchpad. Apparently the actual people firing rockets at school buses deserve less congressional attention than the country daring to defend itself.

Earlier this month, Tlaib pushed an even broader version that critics said could have forced U.S. personnel guarding the American Embassy to abandon their posts and crippled aid to the Lebanese Armed Forces fighting actual terrorists. Even by Washington standards, siding against the non-terrorist side is a special kind of genius.

After that flop, she rolled out a revised version with polite exemptions for diplomatic security and training Lebanese troops. Nothing says "principled stand" like frantically editing your legislation after everyone reads the first draft and recoils in horror.

Republicans rightly wondered why Congress was wasting time stopping a war America isn't fighting.

"There are not U.S. combat forces conducting operations or engaged in hostilities in Lebanon," House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Brian Mast, (R-FL), said during debate. "They are training the Lebanese Armed Forces."

"Why are they training?" Mast continued. "Because there's probably at least 40,000, probably more, Hezbollah terrorists spread across the South of Lebanon that are actively engaged in targeting Israel and have been doing so for many years."

Brian Mast

Mast went further, correctly labeling supporters of the resolution as "proxies for Hezbollah," a remark unlikely to earn him a Christmas card from the Squad.

Ranking Member Gregory Meeks (D-NY), defended the pointless exercise by claiming it would prevent America from entering "another forever war that is not in our national interest."

A noble thought, if only the United States were actually in a war in Lebanon. Instead, Congress spent the afternoon solemnly debating how to stop a ghost from invading a house it never entered, while Hezbollah kept doing what it does best: trying to annihilate Israel and counting on enough useful idiots in Washington to stay distracted by imaginary American aggression.

At least this time, sanity prevailed. Barely.

BREAKING: House votes are in on Ilhan Omar regarding Foreign Affairs Committee status

It took a Republican-led House of Representatives to finally boot Democratic anti-Semite Rep. Ilhan Omar (MN) from the Foreign Affairs Committee, in spite of all the affairs she has had that ended up in marriages, including one to her own brother.

It was Omar's history of anti-Semitic comments that finally did her in, as well as her refusal to admit she was wrong to make them.

The vote to kick Omar off the powerful panel came after a heated floor debate that broke along party lines, with 218 Republicans voting to strip her of the assignment and 211 Democrats backing their Jew-hating colleague. One Republican, David Joyce of Ohio, voted present because he's an asshat with mothballs for testicles.

“Oh, so now we can vote her off,” McCarthy told reporters after the assignments were finalized.

Republicans pointed out six disgusting statements Omar made as a congresswoman that “under the totality of the circumstances, disqualify her from serving on the Committee of Foreign Affairs,” said Rep. Michael Guest (R-MS).

“All members, both Republicans and Democrats alike who seek to serve on Foreign Affairs, should be held to the highest standard of conduct due to the international sensitivity and national security concerns under the jurisdiction of this committee,” Guest said.

It also helps to not hate people for their immutable characteristics or religious beliefs, but tell that to a jihadi like Ilhan Omar and nothing changes.

The resolution, proposed by Rep. Max Miller (R-OH) to ditch the b**ch reads: “Omar’s comments have brought dishonor to the House of Representatives.”

“Omar clearly cannot be an objective decision-maker on the Foreign Affairs Committee given her biases against Israel and the Jewish people,” it continued.

The committee’s chairman, Michael McCaul (R-TX) said he supported the resolution, telling reporters Omar’s “worldview of Israel is so diametrically opposed to the committee’s.” [And to human decency. You can hate the politics of any nation, but to wish for its annihilation is another thing altogether.]

“I don’t mind having differences of opinion, but this goes beyond that.”Rep. Ilhan Omar once compared Israel to terrorist organizations like Hamas and the Taliban. In fact, Omar also compared the United States to Hamas and the Taliban and made no apologies about it.

And while Omar and her ilk like to claim racist victimhood, they are quick to accuse White people, particularly White men, of being racists and/or white supremacists, while having no problem killing unborn babies of color.

Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN), a cowardly Jewish Democrat from Omar's home state, has called out progressives for stoking anti-Semitism with attacks on Israel, while also saying he opposed the resolution because “we believe in the human capacity to make amends and that atonement should be rewarded, not punished.”

Being appropriate for any committee should be the reason someone is allowed to participate on it, and Omar has done nothing to atone or make amends to Israel and the Jews.

Nobody is taking away her freedom of speech, like the left and Antifa tries to do with conservative speakers, but taking away her being on a committee that she is clearly not suited for is a no brainer. Heck, that would be like allowing someone who slept with a Chinese spy or someone who used secret information for political purposes to be on an Intelligence Committee.

A Liar, a Spy Shtupper and 2 Anti-Semites walk into a bar: McCarthy booted them from committees

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has kept his promise and removed Reps. Adam Schiff (D-CA) a chronic liar, Ilhan Omar (D-MN), a full-blown anti-Semite who married her own brother, and Eric Swalwell (D-CA), who had sex with a Chinese spy called Fang Fang, from their House committees. McCarthy's action angered homophobe Joy Reid (MSNBC) and the "Dolts of the View." He will also remove Alexandria Obviously-Communist (D-NY) from the same committee as Omar.

Schiff and Swalwell will be removed from the House Intelligence Committee and Omar, a foreigner who seems to hate America, will be removed from the House Foreign Affairs Committee, in spite of her extensive background in affairs.

McCarthy made the promise a year ago that he would remove the these three amigos if Republicans took back the House in the midterm elections, and while they did an anemic job, they ended up with a small majority.

“The Democrats have created a new thing where they’re picking and choosing who could be on committee,” McCarthy said last January. “Never in the history [of Congress] have you had the majority tell the minority who could be on committee, but this new standard, which these Democrats have voted for — if Eric Swalwell cannot get a security clearance in the private sector, there’s no reason why he should be given one to be on Intel or Homeland Security.”

McCarthy has said he worries that Swalwell may be compromised after reports emerged in 2020 that Fang Fang, a suspected Chinese spy infiltrated his campaign and got close to the congressman. She also infiltrated the skivvies of other political figures according to a previous report by the New York Post and was described as a "Chinese Mata Hari."

“Eric Swalwell cannot get a security clearance in the public sector. Why would we ever give him a security clearance in the secrets to America? So, I will not allow him to be on Intel,” McCarthy told Fox News in November

“You have Adam Schiff, who had lied to the American public time and again. We will not allow him to be on the Intel Committee either.”  Schiff  will also be removed from the House Intelligence Committee.

Schiff drew Republicans’ ire after he headed up the first impeachment of former President Donald Trump and was a member of the House select committee that examined Trump’s role in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot.

McCarthy has said he would boot Omar, a member of the progressive “Squad” along with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), from the Foreign Affairs Committee because of her anti-Semitic remarks.

“I promised you last year that as speaker she will no longer be on Foreign Affairs, and I’m keeping that promise,” he told a crowd at the Republican Jewish Coalition’s 2022 leadership meeting last November.
