Mental Illness in Political Discourse

One's personal focus is determined by certain psychological factors, some obvious, some not so much. Most behavioral psychologists would agree that people with specific types of mood disorders see the world in predictable ways.

For example, people who suffer from major depression see the world through a dark, dismal lens. Their focus is on their sense of despair and hopelessness and can easily find something to be depressed about in their own life.

Comparing the Left Media with the Right Media and Anti-Semitism

I read several online news media today about the fighting going on in Israel and the Gaza Strip. Let's compare headlines:

The first headline read: "Israel restarts Gaza bombardment" versus the second: "Israel resumes airstrikes on Gaza after Hamas rejects cease-fire proposal."
The innocence of Muslims

This headline comes from BBC World and the second from Fox News Network. The BBC headline makes it seem that Israel is being the aggressor while the Fox headline gives the reason for Israel's retaliation and shows us more clearly what is going on there. Israel was willing to negotiate, Hamas kept firing rockets and pretended not to be informed of the deal Egypt was laying out for peace.
The BBC comes from England, a country where Islam is showing its intolerant face more and more with "no go zones" and murders in the name of Islam.  Not long ago a British soldier was killed and beheaded in the streets of London. The murderer spoke on a video explaining exactly why he killed the soldier, and the reason he gave was that he killed the young father for the sake of  jihad; Islam's "holy" war with the infidel world.

Almost President Michelle Obama

We elect our presidents; we do not elect those whom they marry. We elected Barack Hussein Obama (to our dismay) but we did not elect Michelle Obama. But in the Twitter world, some of those on the right refer to her as Moochelle because of her sense of entitlement and extravagance she has shown the American people.

The first lady had a staff of 24 people in 2009 but cut it to 18 in 2010, and their collective salaries came to a little under $10.5 million. Having a staff of 18 is not out of the ordinary--that's the number of staff that Laura Bush had in the White House.

Earlier this year, Michelle, her girls and her mother, Marian Robinson, went on vacation to Beijing. In an article in the Daily Mail, entitled "Beijing workers 'fed up' with Obama entourage in 3400 square-foot $8,350 per night suite inconveniencing 'pretty much eveyone'--and the first lady's mother is barking at the staff." That might tell you what this article discusses.

So it seems the first lady and her mother still have a lot to learn about being out in public, amongst the peons.

Public schools across the nation that receive federal money are mandated to follow Michelle Obama's guidelines in her campaign to fight childhood obesity by serving meals that go uneaten. While not eating is one way to fight obesity, it isn't the best way to provide nutrition to growing bodies.

Under her direction, the schools had to implement strict restrictions on the nutrition content of foods served in school cafeterias, but the schools are actually losing more money than the feds are giving them and some school districts are willing to forgo the money and serve meals the kids will actually eat.

The point is, nobody voted for this lady. Nobody elected her first lady, it came with the Barack fiasco. It will be a wonderful day for our country when the Obamas are out of the White House

Abbass Ends in Ass

Blaming the victim is something you would expect from a lawyer like Hillary Clinton when she got off the rapist of a 12 year old child by blaming the child. Sharks don't eat lawyers out of professional courtesy (at least some lawyers), but you don't expect such tactics from heads of state, present president excluded.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas (his friends call him "Moody") is asking the UN to put Palestine under international protection. This comes after 3 Israeli teens were kidnapped and brutally murdered then buried in shallow graves, and some Israelis sought revenge for the killing by mercilessly killing a Palestinian teen.

Israel was upset and horrified by the retribution and vowed to catch whoever killed the boy, and they did.

When the Israeli teens were taken, Hamas praised the kidnappers and killers and handed out sweets in the streets of Gaza. But once they learned of the Palestinian teen being killed, they launched rockets and mortars on Israel's civilian population, not caring who they killed just as long as they were Jews.

So Israel fought back. They did the opposite of how they responded during the Holocaust and refused to allow themselves to be slaughtered. Their Iron Dome system intercepted many of the Katyusha rockets and they flew hundreds of sorties that knocked out rocket launchers and destroyed Palestinian tunnels used for transporting weapons.

Benjamin Netanyahu told the press that Israel uses rockets to protect its citizens while Hamas uses citizens to protect its rockets. He said it exactly right.

Now Abbas sees that Israel isn't going to take their attacks sitting down. He doesn't like that Israel is fighting back and doing so with more ferocity than Hamas. According to Israel News, Abbas whined: "The situation is unbearable and patience run out for what Israel is doing against our people, therefore, this aggression should immediately stop."

I doubt he would have done anything to stop this war if Hamas was winning. I can hear Abbas praising Allah as he chants: "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free."

Abbas called it a "horrific situation," but only because Hamas is getting back more than what they dished out. He has asked Switzerland to summon contracting parties of the fourth Geneva Convention to place sanctions of Israel as the occupying power responsible for the safety of civilians under the convention agreement.

So far, there have been 166 Palestinians confirmed dead with 1000 wounded. Israel has about 10 soldiers hurt in the ground operation that took place yesterday, but no military casualties thus far.

If you know anything about Islam, you know that the Palestinians see their fight against the Jews as their religious duty. In their minds, they have already assessed 11,952 brown-eyed virgins for the fallen with more virgins awaiting orders.

What I find most repugnant is the New York TImes (aka The Old Gray Commie) in their reporting of this military action. They write: "Israelis are reflecting over coldblooded killing of Palestinian teenager Muhammad Abu Khdeir that helped lead to latest increase in violence; several Israeli media outlets have linked six suspects to Israeli right-wing extremist groups; some are observing generational shift as Jewish youth in Israel express distinct anti-Arab attitude that was not learned in the home."

The Times (whose motto is: "All the news we see fit to print") obviously blames "Jewish youth in Israel" for the anti-Arab attitude; not the anti-Semitic upbringing the Palestinian youth get from home and their TV kid's shows. They blame the brutal killing of Khdeir on the Hamas attack when Hamas applauded the killing of 3 Israelis first and used Khdeir's killing as an excuse to wage war.

Israel didn't hand out sweets when Khdeir was killed, instead they vowed to find the killer(s) and they did. Of course The Times would refer to the Israeli killers as right-wing extremist groups, even before they have proof. And if they were known leftists would The Times have reported that? It's like calling George Zimmerman a "white Hispanic--" anything for the cause of the leftists.

And the Beat Goes On in Gaza

The IDF hit 60 targets last night, killed 120 Islamists since the start of the retaliation that began when Hamas rained down hundreds of rockets into Israel's civilian population.

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) targeted "158 targets linked to Hamas," in the last 24 hours, which included 68 rocket launchers, 21 bases and weapons caches, including one hidden in a mosque--a common strategy Hamas uses because they know Israel is reluctant to strike houses of worship even when Hamas is willing to blow up synagogues and school buses filled with children.
Nurturing hatred

The Health Ministry of Gaza, an oxymoron, said that the dead included a 17 year old whose only goal in life was to finish his study of the Koran in madrassa, join Hamas, and kill Jews for Allah. Young Mohammad al-Akbar will be missed. Okay, Hamas didn't really say all that, but the truth is, the "Palestinians" (a group of Muslims who believe Israel has no right to exist and all the Jews in the world need to be killed) are taught as babies to hate the Jews. It's their religious duty, according to the Koran. But what they don't acknowledge in their "holy" book, or war manual, is that Israel is referred to as the land of the Jews and there is no mention of Palestine. (Check out Suras 9:21 and 26:59 for starters.)

In last night's Israeli retaliatory response to Hamas's rocket attacks, three police officers were killed while innocently beating their wives.

Husam Badran, a spokes-terrorist for Hamas said, while in the safety of Doha, Qatar (some pronounce it "Guitar"): "The bombing of two mosques in Gaza overnight shows how barbaric this enemy is, and how much is it (sic) hostile to Islam."

Good old victim status.

I suggest Badran look up the origin of the word "barbaric" before he claims that Israel should allow Hamas to fire rockets at them with impunity. Thomas Jefferson knew about barbarism.

This is a war that will never end unless Israel decides to end it. The hatred that Islam holds for Jews and other infidels is palpable. Being politically correct about Islam is foolish and suicidal.

So Who is Ed Mezvinsky?

Who is Edward "Ed" Mezvinsky? Interesting question.

Ed Mezvinsky is a former Democratic congressman from Iowa's 1st congressional district. He served two terms in the House of Representatives 1973-1977. He sat on the House Judiciary Committee that decided Richard Nixon's fate as president. It was Mizvinsky who called Nixon a crook and a disgrace to politics and said that he should be impeached.

He grew up in Ames, Iowa, the son of Abe Mezvinsky, a Jewish grocery store owner. Ed played football at Ames High School and was all state.

Mezvinsky had an affair with NBC news reporter Marjorie Sue Margolies and after his wife learned of it and divorced him, he went on to marry Margolies in 1975. She served in congress and in 1975, the same year she and Ed married, cast the deciding vote that got Bill Clinton's controversial tax package through the House. How lucky for Bill that they were friends.

Ed and the Clintons have been good friends for years.

In 2001, Ed was indicted and plead guilty to 31 of 69 counts of bank fraud, mail fraud, and wire fraud. He embezzled more than $10 million in a Ponzi scheme and was also involved in the Nigerian email scams. For all we know, he might have actually been that Nigerian prince who was going to make you rich. Yeah, sure.

Mazvinsky was found guilty and sentenced to 80 months in a federal prison. Instead of serving the full sentence, Ed was out of the slammer in under 5 years, having been released in April 2008. He came off of probation in 2011.

Ed still owes about $9.4 million in victim restitution and there appears to be no plans to repay the money to the "suckers."

In 2010, Marc Mezvinsky married Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of Bill and Hillary Clinton.  The wedding took place at the mansion of George Soros, the billionaire socialist and huge Democratic campaign funder. The couple bought a $10.5 million New York City apartment soon after their union.

It appears that both Chelsea and Marc have morally challenged fathers (as well as Chelsea's morally challenged mother). So it seems fairly obvious that Chelsea will one day be a viable Democratic candidate for the US Presidency if she decides to run.

There is something horribly wrong with this picture.

Why Doesn't Israel Just Let Hamas Kill Them Already?

Israeli military said it struck dozens of Hamas-linked sites yesterday as Palestinian militants fired rockets across Israel. The country has stepped up its offense against Hamas along the Gaza Strip.

The Iron Dome defense appears to be doing its job as a pair of smoke plumes were seen over Jerusalem. No injuries or damage was reported as the rockets were guided by the same system Obama uses for his 3 point shots and his putts.

Thus far, there have been two rocket attacks since the Islamic Hamas organization began its jihad on Tuesday, using the excuse of the Palestinian boy who was brutally murdered in retaliation for the equally brutal murder of 3 Jewish teens the day before. Hamas praised the Jewish teen killings but Israel caught the Jew who killed the Palestinian. So tell me, who's the savage here?

In Tel Aviv, a car was stopped by authorities and they found and explosive device hidden inside which was obviously meant for a terrorist attack and not to cook bacon.

The car contained electric wires hooked to a gas canister with the driver and passenger hoping to get  their six dozen virgins. The driver, Mohamed Muhammad al-Mohammad (or some similar name) admitted to planning a bombing and both he and his allahu akbar-shouting friend were arrested.

Lt. Colonel Pete Lerner said Israel hit over 320 Hamas targets overnight, aiming for underground tunnel networks and rocket launching sites. Overall, Israel has destroyed 750 targets since Tuesday, the Associated Press reported.

U.N. Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon said "This is one of the most critical tests the region has faced in recent years."

I'm just glad that I didn't have to take the same test as a schoolboy that Israeli children take living among these savages.

Ban Ki-moon added, "Gaza is on a knife-edge. The deteriorating situation is leading to a downward spiral, which could quickly get beyond anyone's control." To this, I would add, "but if the USA performed its obligation to help defend its ally, Israel, the Palestinians wouldn't be so bold." Anyway, there never was a country Palestine--check out this blog entry.

The Israeli military struck a car in Gaza with 3 of the Islamist rocket-firing misunderstanders of Islam. So far the jihadist death toll is at least 80 and the Palestinian health ministry reports that at least 20 of these deaths have been civilians. The difference is, Israel does its best not to kill innocent people while Hamas does its best to kill as many Jews, including women and children as it can.

Islam always tries to make itself out to be the victim--they even did it on 911. Hamas, as well as other jihadist militant groups, like to use children and women as shields. If they can find a handy mosque to fire their rockets from that's even better because they know Israel actually respects religious sanctuaries. They only respect mosques and go around the world desecrating churches and synagogues.

The anti-Semites of the world try to make Israel into the terrorists; this includes the Obama administration. But Israel is the only civilized society in the Middle East and is surrounded by Arabs who want to kill them along with the rest of the world's Jews. Israel has nothing to apologize for--Obama does.
Throw like a girl contest

Foreign Ministry spokesman, Yigal Palmor, said Hamas is firing rockets from "within houses and streets and neighborhoods which are populated with civilians . . . exposing these civilians to retaliation and to backfire."

Ban Ki-moon held an emergency meeting at the U.N. Security Council on Thursday. He said the all-out escalation in the Gaza Strip is preventable but Hamas first must stop firing rockets and mortars into Israel. But unable to make it sound like it's Israel's fault he said, "the excessive use of force and endangering of civilian lives are also intolerable." Now maybe Hamas can run with that as well, but that's how they operate.

In his typical claptrap moment, John Kerry, the so-called Secretary of State, said the U.S. is trying to stem the surging violence in a way that allows the Jewish state to continue defending itself from Hamas rocket fire, but was unclear as to what we are actually doing to "stem the surging violence . . . yadda, yadda, yadda." Like President Obama, Kerry believes that he's the smartest person in the room and that his words are magical and can change the course of history. He tried that in Viet Nam when he condemned the war and the troops who fought there.

At this time Israel has mobilized 20,000 reservists for an anticipated ground assault, but for now, Israel is focused on its air campaign as Obama is out campaigning for the Democratic party since 2008.

Obama was last seen at a photo op in a pub where he shot pool with a 9 year old girl and lost, drank a beer, and laughed when a joint was offered to him. Sources say he may or may not have smoked that joint, as per Hillary Clinton's tautological statement about Benghazi when she said, "It may or may not have been due to a video."

While the world is in crisis, Obama plays. He's incompetent or a traitor--take your pick.

Costco's Hard Choices

Hillary's book signing at Costco
Now that Hillary Clinton's obligatory pre-presidential campaign book, "Hard Choices" has nose-dived off Amazon.com's Top 100 list to position #102, Costco cannot financially justify keeping he claptrap on their "space limited" shelves. Even worse, people who already purchased this so-called book tended to read only 2.04% of it before giving up on it, according to the Washington Post.

Jim Sinegal, Costco's co-founder and "one-percenter" is a big Democratic donor, having given $500,000 to Democrats and $500 to Republicans. Frankly, it's surprising he gave any money to the GOP, but perhaps he owed it to a RINO (Republican In Name Only).

Sinegal had to make the hard choice of leaving "Hard Choices" on Costco's limited book shelf space while removing Dinesh D'Souza's "America: Imagine a World Without Her." Clinton's book is doing poorly while D'Souza's is kicking butt.

In fact, once the leftist Sinegal ordered the removal of "America," it soared to #1 at Amazon.com. What Sinegal was too stupid to realize is that Americans do not want to be told what to read or be censored from it by only having one point of view available, unless they're hardcore progressives like him.
Sinegal on his throne

Now Costco is trying to walk it back, much like liberals are wont to do once they get caught trying to stifle free speech, and have to pay for their stupidity. The giant merchandise warehouse chain isn't admitted their wanton censorship but is claiming their decision was financial and not political, even though "America" is by far outselling "Hard Choices." They even said "America" was showing poor sales.

Yeah, sure.

A Costco spokescretin stated: "Costco is not a book store. Our book shelf space is very limited."
"Ah, Rules for Radicals"

This is a store whose space is so limited that you can't buy a small pack of toilet paper--you must buy a pack large enough to service the entire Democratic congress and you know how much that would require. In fact, if you really believe their "book shelf space is very limited," you might be a liberal.

Since Costco/Sinegal has shown their true colors, many intelligent people have dropped their membership for a refund and have gone to Sam's Club or elsewhere.

Freedom of speech goes both ways, just like freedom of choice. Boycott Costco if you agree.

By the way, Amazon is also way left of center. I'm getting my copy of "America" from a smaller book store to keep my money local. Just saying.
