Ohio may give parents back their rights over 'gender identity' affirmation

Ohio might finally grow a spine and protect parents who aren't keen on playing along with their kid's latest fantasy about being the opposite sex. The Buckeye State could actually stand up for moms and dads who prefer biology over the current trendy delusion. 

As the piece notes: "No parent should lose custody, face state intervention, or be deemed unfit simply for affirming a child's sex."

Ohio Rep. Josh Williams, one of the bill's co-sponsors, put it plainly to conservative outlet, The Daily Wire: "No parent should lose custody, face state intervention, or be deemed unfit simply for affirming a child’s sex. The Affirming Families First Act restores common sense to our child-welfare and family-law systems by making clear that affirming biological sex is not abuse, neglect, or contrary to a child’s best interest, it is a protected parental right."

The proposed Affirming Families First Act would slam the brakes on the nonsense where the state swoops in and yanks kids away because Mom and Dad won't jump on the "affirm" bandwagon. Parents could keep using their gender-confused child's original name and pronouns without some social worker or judge deciding that's grounds for losing custody. Courts couldn't ding them for it in parental responsibility decisions, and state agencies would be barred from wasting taxpayer dollars on training sessions that declare "affirming biological sex" to be some form of child abuse.

Fellow co-sponsor Rep. Gary Click didn't mince words either: "It's unconscionable to think that local government entities would flag a parent as being a danger to their son for declining to buy him a dress or call ‘him,' 'her.' We will not tolerate such government overreach in the state of Ohio."

This isn't some isolated outbreak of sanity. Other states are already telling the gender zealots to pound sand. Indiana's Gov. Mike Braun signed something similar back in May 2025. North Carolina's Josh Stein (yeah, even he) pushed through a law banning child welfare probes into parents who stick to biological reality despite the usual Democrat wailing. Texas tweaked its criminal code to make sure this stuff doesn't count as abuse. Georgia and New Hampshire have bills in the works too.

Ohio's been a real hotspot for the crazy, though. 

Cuyahoga County's child services crew got cozy with a federally funded push to ram gender ideology into every corner of family life. They cooked up this AFFIRM.ME program that had workers collecting "SOGIE" data (that's Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Expression for those not fluent in acronym-speak) on kids, even ones still living at home. They kept secret spreadsheets tracking whether parents were "rejecting" or "accepting" the child's chosen fantasy.

Back in April 2022, they mandated "conversations about SOGIE" with teens 13-21 to sniff out if the kid was "unsafe" because of parental "rejection" of their LGBTQ identity. The policy straight-up declared: "Youth in their own homes or in substitute care deserve to reside with affirming caregivers and other household members. We can help ensure this by safely identifying LGBTQ2S+ youth and understanding their individual needs."

They even bragged that AFFIRM.ME was a "blueprint" for the nation. The Biden crew loved it, calling them "trailblazers" while crafting foster care rules that basically held funding hostage to force affirmation nationwide. Texas AG Ken Paxton sued and won; the rule got binned in June 2025. Good riddance.

We've seen the horror stories elsewhere: parents in California, Indiana, Virginia, and Maryland losing their kids just for saying "no, you're still my daughter/son." Erin Lee in Colorado got CPS sicced on her for affirming her 12-year-old daughter's actual sex after the school did the grooming number.

As Laura Hanford from the DeVos Center told the outlet: "Tragically, kids have been harmed, trafficked and even died in state care after being removed from their families on these false claims of abuse. Thousands more have been denied access to loving foster families who affirm reality. There is no scientific evidence or marker for 'gender identity,' yet parents from coast to coast have lost their children for refusing to adopt this belief system."

Parental rights advocate Erin Friday nails the bigger picture: "All roads lead to sex-rejecting interventions when child welfare programs get involved with a child who is distressed about their sex. The entire network of child welfare programs is being used to force parents to either subject their child to sex-rejecting intervention or lose all contact with their child."

Ohio stepping up is a welcome dose of reality in a world gone mad. If this spreads, and it should, maybe we'll finally see the end of the state kidnapping kids because their parents won't cosign on puberty blockers and fantasy pronouns. 

Common sense is making a comeback, one state at a time.

Former Navy SEAL turned 'fake woman', then back to man, warns about gender mutilation

Chris Beck was a former Navy SEAL Team 6, served in the Navy for 20 years, received a Bronze Star and Purple Heart along with his other 50 medals and ribbons. He left the service in 2013 and announced in his book that he had transitioned from male to female, he underwent sex-change surgery, and changed his name to Kristin Beck.

Now Beck has announced his 'de-transitioning,' a fallacious term that implies a person can actually become the sex of his or her choice, and admits that getting his balls and penis chopped off, "destroyed" his life and is speaking out against allowing children go receive gender surgery, a fallacious term that makes getting one's genitals chopped off sound okay. 

You can see why Beck is a hero, even without any longer having balls.

Beck says that one piece of crucial data is not being told to naive 'I wannabe-the-other-thing" individuals. 

He begins by starting many of his sentences with 'so': "So I was in mental health counseling for my graduate degree here at a university where I live and so I was learning all the procedures, I was learning all about human development from birth all the way through – up to 25 years old, you're still developing your brain. So the thing is, is that when you're going through these courses, they're coaching you and they're coaching you on what to say to parents, and they're not showing all the data," he argued on "Fox News Tonight."

"So one of the biggest pieces of data that they're missing right now is that 80% of the kids who are going through gender dysphoria or gender confusion either before puberty and during puberty, 80% of those kids are corrected – [They] will get rid of all that gender confusion by the time puberty is over. 80%!"

Some studies put the percentage of corrected thinking as high as 95% (Gender Dysphoria in Children American College of Pediatricians – November 2018, see the Conclusions section).

In an interview Beck had with Robby Starbuck he warned, "Everything you see on CNN with my face, do not even believe a word of it." He went on, "Everything that happened to me for the last ten years destroyed my life. I destroyed my life; I'm not a victim. I did this to myself, but I had help."

He said that he, like many others who go through the medical transitioning process, are almost immediately placed on cross-hormone medications after just one consultation. In his case, some of the elective medical services were covered by Veterans Affairs. He even went so far in the interview to apologize to the American public for using taxpayer money that way.

Another thing young people are not told before 'transitioning' in their minds is that puberty blockers are another irreversible step that can impact minors' future fertility.

"If a kid goes on puberty blockers when they’re 13, 14, 15 years old, they're chemically castrated. They're not going to have children when they get older. They're not given this data," he told Fox News host Joey Jones. "So eight of those kids, out of those ten, are going to want to go back to be just a regular old person and they're not going to be able to."

He said on "Fox News Tonight" that he is speaking out now so parents become aware of what their children might go through if they are put on puberty blockers or choose to get gender surgery. Some parents don't seem to care, but hopefully his message will reach those who do.

Leftist pollsters try to hide poll showing Americans oppose genital mutilation of children

A polling group did a survey but the left didn't like the results so they're "keeping quiet" about the findings. Specifically, the group found that Americans give a "hard no" to procedures on children in which their genitals are cut off and made to look like those of the opposite sex. You know, transgender surgery and puberty blockers.

A Democrat-linked polling group is “keeping quiet” about its findings, an inconvenient truth, from a survey that shows Americans oppose transgender procedures on children, a recent report claims.

The Daily Mail says that the Democrat-linked polling group  “gained access” to an invitation-only web event hosted by San Francisco-based Change Research. At this event, the group unveiled the poll results

with the group leaders then “privately hatching plans to ‘educate’ the public by ‘rebranding puberty blockers.'” 

Puberty blockers were originally used for as chemical castration in sex offenders; now the left has rebranded them to sound more 'medical-ish' and benign.  

Change Research mainly conducts online surveys. It has performed polls for Democratic political candidates as well as organizations such as the NAACP and AFL–CIO.

The Mail said they were invited to join the webinar, then uninvited, but “we attended anyway, after registering with a personal email address.”  They reported that the group's marketing head, Molly McInerney,  said they would “not be making these results widely available” evidently because it went against their mission to destroy America's youth, but they didn't say so. 

They asked the attendees not to "share these findings," which should tell you something as to how they operate. In fact, The Mail said that the firm had already declined their request to see the findings before the webinar.

“The webinar indicated that Change Research wanted to conceal its results — with the stated goal of reshaping US attitudes on gender ideology and trans treatments on kids,” the paper reported. 

In other words, they wanted to deceive the public by claiming that Americans approve of cutting off the genitals of boys and girls, and cutting off the breasts of girls while giving both groups chemical castration drugs they now only refer to as puberty blockers.

The poll of more than 1,200 voters conducted between April 28 and May 2 found that a majority (60%) of Americans believe sex is assigned at birth and that can’t be changed, according to the Daily Mail. Fifty-six percent also oppose prescribing puberty blockers to children and 60% oppose sex-altering surgeries, such as breast removal.

Just a third of those surveyed support such procedures on children and those people scored high on the Virtue Signaling Scale and the Science Ignorance Scale.

But the poll also reportedly found Americans seemed willing to allow children to get sex-reassignment counseling with their parents involved. They were also OK with other treatments as long as they were reversible. Sadly, however, getting your twigs and berries or breasts and female genitalia chopped off and shaped into the genitalia of the sex a child does not belong to, is irreversible. Once it's gone, it's gone, along with future sexual fulfillment.

Those polled opposed “‘permanent” or “physical, non-reversible changes to the body.”

What part of having a penis, breasts and vagina mutilated sounds reversible? [I would post a photo of what it looks like, but I would get booted from Blogger.]

“It means butchering a human body to try and change a person’s sex as determined by the CHROMOSOMES through biology,” said one respondent. “A person is and always shall be the sex assigned by their chromosomes, and nothing will change that.”

Lead pollster Betsy App [really, that's her name] called the results “bad news.” “I want to give us all a reality check,’ App reportedly told the online session. “We are facing an uphill battle when it comes to voters’ fundamental beliefs about the relationship between sex and gender.”

Because facts get in the way of their feelings.

App is a mother [aka birthing person] of three including a “gender creative first-grader,” [does the child draw pictures of girls with penises and vice-versa?]. She [if that's her pronoun] told the online session they need to use the term “gender affirming care,” calling it a “great term that we should continue using” because it resonates with the public as opposed to terms like "penis removing procedure victims" or "breast-less girls who want to look like boys" surgeries.

The left is great with words but not so great with tolerance, facts, and Western values.

App also said the term “puberty blockers” should be abandoned. “One of the key next steps is rebranding puberty blockers,” she said. “This is a term that’s not doing us any favors.” 

She's right--call puberty blockers what they really are: chemicals that stifle puberty, future sexual drive, and are originally used for chemical castration in sex offenders.

Children are not sex offenders, they are children whose brains have not yet developed to the point where they are capable of making life-altering decisions, even if their deranged parents think they can.

International Swimming Federation bans some men from beating women

Can you spot the "woman" with a penis?

The international swimming federation FINA announced a new policy Sunday. They will ban male athletes [people born with a penis who generally produce sperm, have XY chromosomes, greater muscle mass than females, generally more muscle strength, and can hygienically pee standing up]. The males being banned needed to have gone through male puberty, otherwise little boys can compete against little girls.

To qualify for women’s competitions, the swimmers must either have never gone through male puberty or had male puberty suppressed at the stage when physical changes begin to appear or before the age of 12, whichever occurred later, according to the policy. For those male swimmers who have had their male puberty suppressed with Lupron, a chemical castration drug, your parents are mentally ill.

The athletes also have to prove that they have continuously suppressed their testosterone levels since that time even though testosterone cannot completely neutralize the physical advantages males have over females in sports that require strength, speed, or both.

“We have to protect the rights of our athletes to compete, but we also have to protect competitive fairness at our events, especially the women’s category at FINA competitions,” FINA president Husain al-Musallam said in statement. Of course they could protect the rights of athletes to compete by having a separate category for transgender athletes., but FINA may be trying to work something out in that area.

“FINA will always welcome every athlete,” Husain al-Musallam said. “The creation of an open category will mean that everybody has the opportunity to compete at an elite level. This has not been done before, so FINA will need to lead the way. I want all athletes to feel included in being able to develop ideas during this process.”

FINA member federations voted on Sunday to enact the policy, which was crafted by a working group of athletes, scientists, and medical and legal experts that began meeting in November.

More than 70 percent of members endorsed the policy, which will take effect Monday. The 30 percent that refused to endorse the policy also believe Joe Biden is doing a great job.

The decision comes after Lia Thomas, the University of Pennsylvania swimmer became the first male athlete to win an NCAA Division I national woman's championship. As a male competitor, Thomas was ranked 462nd, a mediocre position at best. As a guy swimming against women, he kicked ass, shooting up to Number One, leaving the second place swimmer over half a minute behind in his wake. That's akin to a swimming lightyear that only a narcissistic jerk like Thomas would believe is justified.
