Greta Thunberg's 'Green' Flotilla Adventure: 165 Tons of Pollution, Because Nothing Says 'Save the Planet' Like Diesel-Fueled Hypocrisy

Oh, look who's back at it—Greta Thunberg, the pint-sized prophet of doom, leading her merry band of virtue-signalers on a "humanitarian" joyride to Gaza. But hold onto your reusable water bottles, folks, because this eco-extravaganza didn't exactly sail on wind power alone. A fresh study from solar energy outfit Volta Solar crunched the numbers on the Sumud Flotilla's environmental "footprint," and spoiler: it's about as light as JB Pritzker after a Thanksgiving dinner.

It turns out, Thunberg's flotilla of nearly 50 vessels chugged through the Mediterranean for five weeks, belching out a whopping 165 tons of air pollution on the way from Spain to Gaza. That's equivalent to 206 round-trip flights from Tel Aviv to London. Because when you're fighting for the oppressed, who needs carbon offsets when you've got irony this thick?

"Over the course of 5 weeks of sailing, the almost 50 vessels in the flotilla consumed a total of about 53,600 liters of diesel," the study from Volta Solar explained and added, "This fuel consumption is equivalent to direct emissions (tank-to-wheel, TTW) of about 144 thousand kg of CO₂ – that is, about 144 tons of carbon dioxide emitted from the engines alone."

Shocker: The real heavy hitters were the gas-guzzling motor yachts, while the sailboat crowd at least pretended to go green by firing up the engines only when absolutely necessary. But hey, as long as the Instagram pics look noble, right?

"It is not surprising that those who act hypocritically in the field of climate also chose the side of the forces of darkness and not the forces of light," said Eran Tal, CEO of Volta Solar and a reserve officer who founded the first solar unit in the IDF.

And let's not stop at the skies; this little armada turned the Med into a floating acid bath. Volta Solar's breakdown demonstrates how the flotilla's filth matches the annual exhaust from 82 family sedans. "An average family car emits about 2 tons of CO₂ per year (a trip of about 15,000 km); so 165 tons is equal to the emissions of about 82 vehicles for an entire year," the study showed.

Want to scrub this mess clean? You'd need anywhere from 6,600 to 16,500 full-grown trees sucking up CO2 like it's their job, assuming, of course, the activists don't chain themselves to those trunks in protest first.

But wait, there's more underwater carnage. "About 30% of the CO₂ emitted by humans is absorbed by the sea, causing an increase of about 26% in the acidity of ocean water," they explain and add, "Of the 165 tons, about 50 tons will be absorbed by the sea over time: this impact damages the ability of corals, oysters and krill to build skeletons, and endangers the marine food chain and fish."

So, in a nutshell: Greta's grand gesture to "save" Gaza just helped doom the actual oceans she loves to lecture us about. Who could have predicted that a bunch of self-righteous sailors guzzling diesel would pollute more than a small airline?

Next time, maybe try a kayak, Greta, or better yet, stay home and let the adults handle the virtue.

VP Kamala Hahaharris gaffes again

Affirmative Action VP Kamala Harris is on a gaffe mission and it hit an all-time high on Friday when she called for lowering the population to provide American kids with cleaner air and drinking water. With less American kids and their parents, there is less pollution in water and air somehow as she sees it.

Speaking through her nostrils, the Vice President of the United States told a crowd of clapping seals at Coppin State University in Baltimore, "[W]hen we invest in clean energy and electric vehicles and reduce population, more of our children can breathe clean air and drink clean water." Her speech mainly addressed the Inflation Reduction Act, an act that increases inflation by increasing government spending.

Harris probably meant to say the word "pollution" rather than "population," but if you look at what the government appears to be doing by trying to decrease police funding along with demonizing normal sexuality, it seems like Harris was spoking truth to her idiocy.

Friday's gaffe came just days after Harris tried to explain artificial intelligence [AI--it stands for Artificial Intelligence, in case you're from an extragalactic planet] at a discussion with labor and civil rights leaders.

"I think the first part of this issue that should be articulated is AI is kind of a fancy thing," our embarrassing VP said at the Wednesday event. "First of all, it's two letters. It means artificial intelligence, but ultimately what it is, is it's about machine learning." Ooh, she said ultimately--that means "in the end."

"And so, the machine is taught — and part of the issue here is what information is going into the machine that will then determine — and we can predict then, if we think about what information is going in, what then will be produced in terms of decisions and opinions that may be made through that process," she added to sound erudite.

Check out the video below. She begins the climate crisis talk at around 4:40.

The day prior to this, she made comments at a transportation roundtable discussion in which Pete Buttigieg did not attend possibly due to him chest feeding his baby.

"This issue of transportation is fundamentally about just making sure that people have the ability to get where they need to go! It's that basic," the buffoon said.

Is she high on crack or is she drunk? You make the call.

Ford Electric Mustang's Price Increases More Than Biden's Tax Credit: is anyone surprised?

Biden wants us to all give up our gas-driven cars and purchase EV cars instead. He is bribing the public up to $7,500 in a tax credit to anyone who buys an EV.

But his drunken sailor-in-a-whorehouse spending isn't matching the inflated costs of vehicle manufacturing, so the money he's handing out in tax credit is a joke.

The price of the Ford Mustang Mach-E will increase up to 8,475 starting September due to the "significant material cost increases" and "evolving market conditions," the company said. Of course, the increases of materials is due to the Biden inflation, but Biden hopes you won't notice. [H/T Daily Wire]

The new price tag on the Mustang EV for the 2023 model will increase on Tuesday of next week, in response to the Democrats' Inflation Reduction Act, a massive climate spending bill that handed out tax credits to Americans willing to purchase certain EVs and will only increase, not decrease, inflation, as we are already seeing in this example.

“Ford is adjusting the MSRP on the Mustang Mach-E due to significant material cost increases, continued strain on key supply chains, and rapidly evolving market conditions, and will continue to monitor pricing across the model year,” the Michigan-based motor company explained.

The Mustang Mach-E 2022 models were priced between 44,000 and $62,000, but the 2023 makes of the EV will cost as high as $70,000 with the cheapest option being $47,000. Earlier this month, Ford also increased prices on its electric pickup truck, the F-150 Lightning, according to CNBC. Tesla, Rivian, Lucid, and GM have also raised prices on EVs this year, all for the same reasons.

Got inflation?

Prices of EVs have been increasing prices as electric battery costs shot up during the pandemic. Battery materials such as lithium, nickel and cobalt have become difficult to acquire, and China basically has a monopoly on cobalt and lithium production. Biden's supply chain issues have caused the cost of raw materials for EV production to double from March 2020 to May 2022.

According to the Department of Energy, the 2022 Ford Mach-E qualifies for Biden’s tax credit. The 2023 model, however, did not appear on the department’s list of EVs that qualified.

And if the goal of electric vehicles is to reduce carbon emissions and pollution, they are an abject failure. It takes fossil fuels to generate most electricity in the USA and the disposal of EV batteries causes significantly more ground pollution than a village of Democrats with private jets on their way to a climate summit.

Study: Electric cars have much lower quality than gas-fueled cars

A new study has come to conclude that EVs are significantly inferior to gas-powered vehicles, leaving gay transportation secretary Pete Buttigieg to ask himself, "What, me worry?"

People who own battery-electric cars and plug-in hybrids report more problems with their vehicles than owners of gas-powered cars, according to a June 28 study by consumer research company J.D. Power. In fact, the researchers found that while gas-powered vehicles average 175 problems per 100 vehicles, generic battery-powered cars [excluding Tesla models] average 240 problems per 100 vehicles, and hybrids average 239 problems, the study finds.

Tesla EV cars averaged 226 problems per 100, the report found, and were listed separately “because the predominance of Tesla vehicles could obscure the performance of the legacy automakers that have recently introduced BEVs,” J.D. Power said.

EVs average about $10,000 more than gas-powered vehicles and based on these findings, are not a good value for the money.

Since electric cars, on average, cost $10,000 more than gas-powered vehicles, this suggests that EVs do not live up to their hype of being a good value for the money. Moreover, it's the taxpayer who pays the billions of dollars in "green subsidies" which end up enriching Communist China, the world's number one polluter.

China produces the lithium-ion batteries for EVs and disposal of these batteries pollute the environment like a John Kerry private jet.

“Due to heavy government subsidies, China dominates the global production of lithium-ion batteries and their precursor materials, especially graphite,” The Federalist reported. “China’s graphite production has notoriously contributed to significant pollution in the country.”

The Biden administration's push and manipulation for EV use by the American public has created a situation where US subsidies bankroll Communist China's pollution production while pretending to clean up the environment.

Biden's handlers had him sign an executive order in August 2021 forcing us to have electric cars comprise half of all new vehicles sold in the United States by 2030, all in the name of combating climate change.

So, as it turns out, this study shows how Biden's crappy energy policies is our spending more money for crappy products.

'Dancing Hands' Pelosi's climate change pick to lead committee owned stock in top polluters

Rep[ugnant] Nancy "Dancing Hands" Pelosi's (D-Calif.) pick to head the House Climate Crisis Committee [to deal with climate change and how it's worse than Hitler] owned stock in several high pollutin' companies that are among the nation's top air and water polluters.

Pelosi announced last week that Rep. Kathy Castor (D-Fla.) would chair the newly reconstituted House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis.

Pelosi's decision to reestablish the committee, which existed from 2007 until 2011 and did nothing but waste the taxpayer's money, before it was disbanded by Republicans, signals that climate change will be a top priority for the new Democratic majority because Democrats have nothing else to run on besides the scourge of white supremacy, socialism and intersectional bull crap.

"This committee will be critical to the entire Congress's mission to respond to the urgency of this threat, while creating the good-paying, green jobs of the future," Pelosi said in a statement announcing the appointment.

"Congresswoman Castor is a proven champion for public health and green infrastructure, who deeply understands the scope and seriousness of this threat. Her decades of experience in this fight … will be vital." Except for her support of companies that pollute.

Although Castor is poised to have tremendous power over climate-change legislation, it is unclear if her prior financial ties will pose a challenge for progressives who are already complaining that the new committee "will be incapable of solving the greatest threat to humankind."

Financial disclosure reports filed with the clerk of the House of Representatives indicate that Castor has invested in corporations with seriously horrible environmental records.

When she joined Congress in 2007, the pollution-supporter reported owning between $15,001 and $50,000 of stock in Dow Chemical, a company which has consistently been labeled as America's top water polluter by the Political Economy Research Institute (PERI) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Castor's holdings in Dow grew throughout 2008, even as the company drew fire from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for allegedly violating the Clean Air Act and inadequately cleaning up dioxin contamination on the Tittabawassee River in Michigan.

Dow's chemical plants, which the EPA estimated produced more than 600 million pounds of toxic waste in 2010 alone, have continuously been cited by state and federal regulators for discharging hazardous waste into the atmosphere and waterways, but Castor wasn't put off by that--she was raking in the dough.

Castor [almost a 'Castro' typo] began to sell off large portions of her Dow holdings in early 2014, right after taking a more high-profile public stance in favor of green energy and solar power. The hypocritical congresswoman unloaded the last of her stock in Dow Chemical in May 2016.

Concurrent to dumping Dow, the liberal congresswoman purchased between $1,001 and $15,000 in Caterpillar, Inc., a company which ranks among the Fortune 100, as the world's leading manufacturer of construction machinery, mining equipment, as well as diesel and natural gas engines.

Castor purchased the stock despite the company's long record of flouting environmental regulations.

Caterpillar was one of seven diesel-engine manufacturers that agreed to a $1 billion settlement with the EPA in 1998 for illegally circumventing federal emission standards. [As an environmental expert, as Pelosi refers to her, she probably was aware of both Dow's and Caterpillar's reputation with the planet.]

The settlement arose after environmental regulators determined that Caterpillar and other companies "deceptively" programmed diesel-engines to "produce less pollution" during emission testing than on the road. At the time, the $1 billion settlement was one of the largest penalties levied under the Clean Air Act.

Since 1998, Caterpillar has been unable to remain out of the EPA's sights. The company agreed to pay a $2.55 million penalty in 2011 after "shipping more than 590,000 highway and non-road" vehicles without correct emission controls. In 2014, California weighed financial penalties against Caterpillar for allegedly violating air pollution regulations. Castor sold her shares in Caterpillar in December 2016.

Dow Chemical and Caterpillar were not the only polluters in Castor's investment portfolio. Her financial disclosures show that she owned stock in General Electric and the Alcoa Corporation—two of America's top air polluters, according to PERI.

Alcoa, the eighth-largest aluminum producer on the planet, has faced criticism over its coal-fired power plants. One such plant located in Rockdale, Texas, was the subject of a 2003 settlement with the EPA, in which the company agreed to pay $1.5 million in fines and spend more than $330 million in strengthening its air pollution standards. Likewise, the scale of GE's environmental footprint has raised concerns among climate change advocates. The congresswoman sold her shares in both corporations in November and December 2016.

It is unclear why Castor liquidated all of her holdings in Alcoa, Dow Chemical, GE, and Caterpillar at the end of 2016. Castor's office did not return requests for comment on this story.

Castor's investment in the companies occurred as she simultaneously accused BP of "gross negligence" in the wake of the company's 2010 oil spill in the Gulf Coast.

This is what as known as gross hypocrisy.

Well here we are in the start of a new year and the world still hasn't come to an end with President Trump in the White House, in spite of what the media and the left [but I repeat myself] would have you believe.

California Hypocrisy Alert: electric scooters dumped in lake, fish die

Oakland, California -- Woke tofu-eating vegans have some 'splainin' to do.

Environmentally friendly electric scooters are not so environmentally friendly when they are dumped in lakes. That is about as funny, ironic and hypocritical as it gets.

As they become less desirable the cheap mode of transportation that was designed for those who want a "green" earth, have been the source of "yucky" earth, or should I say 'lakes.' Now we're talking real pollution, baby.

This past October, cleanup crews at Oakland's Lake Merritt fished out 60 environmentally friendly, once upon a time, according to James Robinson, the Executive Director of Lake Merritt Institute, as reported by Fox News.

"We've been having a fair amount of the e-scooters come into the lake or thrown into the lake rather," he told KTVU. "These can be very damaging to our marine environment because they're not natural things that go into the lake.”

Fish cannot ride electric scooters and gas scooters are a joke.

Robinson is concerned that the damage is coming from the batteries in scooters, operated by both Lime and Bird scooter companies.
Chariots of dorks
Robinson took photos and the scooters appear to be from those two companies. He reported the situation to Lime and Bird but only Lime has sent employees to remove them.

With a company named 'Bird' you can imagine what Robinson wanted to flip at them.

So tell us how to live, residents of California. Tell us how important saving the environment is to all of you fine vegans and yoga mat shleppers.

But it isn't only Californians who are liberal hypocrites. In Portland, activists created a blog called "Scooters in the River PDX" that documents how many e-scooters are dumped into the Willamette River-- 17 as of this writing.

Freaking hypocrites!

If you ride an electric scooter and you don't pollute lakes and you aren't a hypocrite, then you are not a dork.

Trump willing to sign revised Paris climate deal

Photo: AP file
President Trump said on Sunday that he would be willing to sign the Paris climate accord if the treaty undergoes major changes.

The President met with global condemnation last June when he said the United States was pulling out of the Paris climate accord. He called it a "bad deal" for our nation's economy and even said 'very, very bad deal' at one point.

Mr. Trump supposedly remains firm in his criticism of the Paris accord, possibly because it was signed by former President Barack Hussein Obama, a man believed to be born in Kenya, according to President Trump's previous statements. But whether Obama was or was not born in Kenya, as president, he acted as if he disliked the United States of America.

"The Paris accord, for us, would have been a disaster," Trump told Britain's ITV channel in a Sunday interview.

"If they made a good deal . . . there's always a chance we'd get back," he said mostly in monosyllables, and described the current agreement as "terrible" and "unfair" to the US.

But let's face it, even having the United Nations in the United States is unfair to the US. The unpaid parking fines alone, accrued by UN diplomats could run a small country. What we pay annually to the UN is far more than any other country, big or small.

The treaty was agreed upon by 197 nations in 2015 after tough negotiations in Paris. All countries pledged to make carbon-cutting moves running into 2030. In the meanwhile, countries can still pollute as they make industrial advances while the US and other nations have already cut back on carbon emissions.

"If somebody said, go back into the Paris accord, it would have to be a completely different deal because we had a horrible deal," Trump repeated.

"Would I go back in? Yeah, I'd go back in . . . I would love to."

In early January President Trump said the US could "conceivably" return to the deal under more favorable terms, raising the question as to whether he was bluffing about pulling out of the Paris deal in the first place in order to acquire more lax emission targets.

California, on the other hand, is making it a finable offense for a waitperson to hand out plastic straws to customers unless they ask for one.

Those straws are killing the planet along with fast food sandwiches, and President Trump is one of the biggest perpetrators of Big Mac pollution.
