Illinois Mother Charged With Murder After Becoming “Very Invested” in Lindsay Clancy Case

There are true-crime stories, and then there are stories so horrifying that even true crime seems at a loss for words.

Prosecutors say Corie A. Walsh had recently become “very invested” in the Lindsay Clancy case before allegedly killing her 2-year-old son and attempting to take her own life. Authorities also say Walsh had made statements about harming her other children and her husband.

She's a real peach . . . allegedly.

Walsh, 40, has now been charged with three counts of first-degree murder and remains in custody “and being held for medical treatment.”

The disturbing case unfolded in Frankfort, Illinois, an affluent suburban community about 35 miles southwest of Chicago. What should have been an ordinary Tuesday quickly turned into every parent's worst nightmare.

Police responding to the Walsh home shortly after 4 p.m. found the family's 2-year-old son, Barrett Walsh, hanging in the basement. A neighbor had discovered the child, removed him and desperately attempted CPR while calling 911.

But it was already too late.

The toddler was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Will County Coroner’s Office ruled the death an apparent homicide. Preliminary autopsy findings determined that the child died from asphyxia due to ligature compression of the neck, according to prosecutors.

Walsh was found upstairs in the master-bedroom bathroom, fully dressed and lying in a bathtub “surrounded by bloody water.” She had cuts on her wrists and thighs and was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

And then came an explanation that sounds less like something from a courtroom filing and more like a particularly disturbing horror movie script.

Walsh allegedly told officers “she did this to her baby because he was the ‘devil’ and the ‘anti-Christ.’”

According to prosecutors, a neighbor found Walsh holding a knife and “actively harming herself.” The neighbor took the knife away and threw it into the sink, where police later recovered it as evidence.

Walsh reportedly asked why the neighbor had taken the knife, “as she was trying to kill herself.”

She then allegedly told the neighbor that “Bear,” the child's nickname, was “in the basement.”

Police have described the case as a domestic-related homicide.

But what makes the case even more disturbing is what prosecutors say happened in the hours leading up to the killing.

Walsh had “recently become very invested in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial,” prosecutors said in their petition seeking to deny her pretrial release.

Clancy, who killed her three children in January 2023, has become a national figure in one of the most disturbing criminal cases in recent memory. Her murder trial, which was being live-streamed, ended in a mistrial Friday. The Left seems to believe Clancy should not be punished for her crime, normal people disagree.

According to prosecutors, Walsh had been “actively discussing the case” with friends in group text messages until approximately 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

That was just three and a half hours before police arrived at her home.

At the time Walsh was allegedly discussing the Clancy case, the jury in that trial was deliberating.

That timeline is now one of the most disturbing elements of the investigation.

Walsh's husband was out of town when the killing occurred. An infant was also inside the home but was unharmed. Two school-age children returned home around the time Barrett was discovered and were likewise physically unharmed.

Unfortunately, prosecutors say the danger may not have ended with Barrett.

Walsh allegedly made statements about harming her other children and her husband when he returned home.

Once hospitalized, Walsh also described to officers “the manner in which she killed Barrett,” prosecutors said. Investigators say her account was consistent with the physical evidence discovered at the scene.

Walsh remains in custody while receiving medical treatment. Once she is released from the hospital, she is expected to be transferred to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.

It was not immediately clear whether she had retained an attorney.

Frankfort police described the case as a “heartbreaking tragedy,” adding, “We ask our community to keep them in their thoughts and prayers.”

And that is perhaps the only appropriate response to a case this horrific. Whatever bizarre chain of events led to the killing, an innocent 2-year-old boy is dead, a family has been shattered, and an entire community is left trying to comprehend something that should never have happened.

The boy was two years old, so this was not a case of postpartum psychosis.

Bragg's chief prosecutor brags about giving 'get-out-of-jail' cards to violent felons, murderers

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's chief prosecutor, Meg Reiss, is as leftist as her boss over letting violent criminals and other felons, get out of paying for their crimes. This even included a murderer.

Reiss used her 'restorative justice' philosophy to keep them out on the streets where they could ply their violent trade. [H/T Fox News Digital]

Worse, she bragged about it, and that made Bragg proud to have her on board.

"We know incarceration doesn't really solve any problems," Reiss said during a Peace Institute event in May 2021 [other than to keep innocent people from being victimized by them].

Fox News Digital has previously reported that Reiss said criminals are not "bad dudes" while simultaneously blasting juries for believing police officers facing misconduct allegations deserve the "benefit of the doubt," not unlike Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) saying that President Trump will have the opportunity to prove his innocence.

Reiss described how the Manhattan district attorney helped a murderer get out of jail time for a homicide victim who had very few relatives.

She said a man who was facing a manslaughter charge for killing another person during a violent altercation was able to leave without any prison time, calling it "extraordinary."

"It was an incident between two people that knew each other very well. And it was sort of… a fight that ended up with one person dying and the person who was charged had substance misuse issues and other things. And going through the outcome in the case, it just seemed appropriate for restorative practice rather than a carceral sentence."

It wasn't her relative who was murdered so it was no big deal to let the killer go free. Even more relevant is that the person charged with the crime wasn't Donald Trump.

Reiss also blasted the idea that criminals in New York illegally possessing firearms should amount to jail time. This should only apply to people without criminal records who carry for self defense against the criminals illegally carrying guns.

She said the office has a "gun diversion" program for criminals illegally possessing firearms.

So keep voting for these lunatics who are unaffected by the laws and policies they create. And when it's your loved one who falls victim to these unpunishable crimes, please consider your vote next election. Of course, in Reiss' case, she wasn't elected but selected by Alvin Bragg. Think.

Driver who intentionally killed cop in hit-and-run indicted on 13 counts

Long Island, NY -- A 32-year-old Black woman who reportedly drove her vehicle at an NYPD cop, killing him during a drunken rant, has been indicted on 13 counts, including aggravated manslaughter and aggravated criminally negligent homicide.

The woman, Jessica Beauvais, faces up to only 15 years in prison if convicted of the charges.

According to a report from the New York Post on Monday, the cop-hating woman reportedly had a blood alcohol level of .15 — nearly twice the legal limit in New York — when she intentionally struck the officer with her car.

Beauvais clearly appeared drunk and was reportedly driving with a suspended license. She struck NYPD Highway Officer Anastasios Tsakos while driving on the Long Island Expressway on April 27 in the borough of Queens.

She reportedly struck Officer Tsakos — who was on the scene of a separate fatal motor vehicle accident. He was hit so hard that the impact threw him 40 feet in the air, at which point she fled the scene.

When she was caught, her sedan's windshield was caved-in and a traffic cone was wedged under the front of its chassis--what you might call 'damning evidence.'

She reportedly told investigators that she had been drinking vodka in the hours that led up to the intentional hit-and-run.

Just prior to the accident, Beauvais — a podcaster and radio host — recorded a lengthy anti-police rant in which she blasted the justice system and its police officers.

While discussing the Derek Chauvin trial, she quoted hip-hop group N.W.A."Like N.W.A. say about the police, if you're going to kill me, at least I get to take someone with me," she said.

"I'm one of those people," she said at the time. "If I'm going to go, someone is coming."

“What happened to fighting?" she also said during the podcast. “I grew up on fighting. I like to fight. My hands and my feet and teeth. It does something for me — what does it do for you? F***ing people up never stopped being a thing. Shooting people is still wack. It means you can't fight. It means you're a cop." [But using your vehicle as a weapon is okay?]

She added, "F*** the police."

During her initial arraignment, Beauvais said, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I hit him and now he's dead."

I wonder what she would have said if she didn't get caught.

All Lives Matter. Blue Lives Matter.

Death of man who drank fish tank cleaner being investigated as a homicide

Screen grab Daily Wire

The death of a man who allegedly drank fish tank cleaner last month along with his wife to protect themselves from coronavirus, is being investigated as a possible homicide. [H/T: Daily Wire]

“The Mesa City Police Department’s homicide division is investigating the death of Gary Lenius, the Arizona man whose wife served him soda mixed with fish tank cleaner in what she claimed was a bid to fend off the coronavirus,” according to a report by Alana Goodman of The Free Beacon.

“A detective handling the case confirmed the investigation to the Washington Free Beacon on Tuesday after requesting a recording of the Free Beacon’s interviews with Lenius’s wife, Wanda.”

Gary Lenius, 68, died late last month after he and his wife, Wanda, 61, after the lovely couple allegedly drank fish tank cleaner because it contained chloroquine phosphate, a substance they claim President Trump recommended for the treatment of the Chinese Communist Wuhan Coronavirus.

Trump did not say that fish tank cleaner would be a wise idea.

Ms. Goodman interviewed friends of Gary Lenius and they described him as an intelligent, level-headed engineer who was not prone to impulsive and reckless behavior, like drinking fish tank cleaner. In other words, they did not believe he  would knowingly drink fish tank cleaner.

One of his close friends told Goodman: “What bothers me about this is that Gary was a very intelligent man, a retired [mechanical] engineer who designed systems for John Deere in Waterloo, Iowa, and I really can’t see the scenario where Gary would say, ‘Yes, please, I would love to drink some of that Koi fish tank cleaner’. It just doesn’t make any sense.”

The friend continued, “I would like people to know that Gary was not the fool that some of the media stories and comments are depicting him to be. I really don’t think Gary knew what he was taking.”

Another friend described the marriage of Gary and Wanda as a match made in hell. "Wanda would constantly berate Gary in public."

“Everyone was embarrassed for him, but he outwardly did not seem to care much,” the friend added. “In our opinion, their marriage was seen outwardly to be as one-sided as a marriage possibly could be: Gary worshiped Wanda.”

According to the Free Beacon, seven months after the marriage, the Waterloo PD responded to a domestic incident at their home whereby the couple got into an argument “concerning counseling and a possible divorce” during which Wanda allegedly struck her husband in the chest and swung a mounted birdhouse at him, according to a court affidavit from the responding officer, William Sauerbrei.

Wanda was charged with a misdemeanor domestic abuse assault, but they reconciled and Gary testified in support of his Wanda at the trial, saying he was not hurt or put in fear of injury. The judge found Wanda not guilty.

In another report from Goodman, she delineated how Wanda, who immediately blamed the president over their ingesting the fatal fish tank cleaner, was a Democrat donor who hated President Trump. Perhaps this was what she thought a perfect alibi to get rid of Gary.

It will be difficult to prove.

What do you believe?

Eric Holder suspect in Nipsey Hussle shooting death

Eric Holder
Eric Holder is wanted for Homicide in the shooting of Nipsey Hussle [not to be confused with Nipsey Russell, who died in 2005]. Holder is believed to have shot Hussle, a rapper and injured several others in a shooting at a strip mall in South Los Angeles on Sunday.

The suspected gunman has been identified as Eric Holder, a 29-year-old Los Angeles resident with gang ties, according to a news release by the Los Angeles Police Department. He is not related to Eric Holder [aka Obama's 'Wingman'] who is known to allegedly supply guns to drug cartels and is responsible for the death of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.

Holder was last seen in a 2016 white 4 door Chevy Cruze CA license plate 7RJD742. Anyone with information related to his whereabouts or this deadly shooting is urged to contact South Bureau Homicide at 323-786-5100

The suspect walked up to three adult males – including Hussle -- who were standing in front of a business in a strip mall in South Los Angeles around 3:20 p.m. Sunday and began shooting.

The Los Angeles Times cited law enforcement sources who said Holder was an acquaintance of Hussle and they had gotten into a dispute before the shooting over the lyrics to Bach Contata 140, "Wachet Auf."

Hussle said the opening lyrics are: "Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme, der Wachter sehr hoch auf der Zinne."

Holder strongly disagreed, saying "No man, the words are like "Wack it off, rough Stimme wacks it high in the Zinne."

It turns out Hussle was correct, but that didn't matter to Holder who allegedly returned and shot him, then fled the scene in a white 2016 Chevy Cruz that was driven by an unidentified female accomplice, according to the release. The vehicle’s California license plate was reported to be 7RJD742.
Obama's Wingman
Two of the other victims were hussled to local hospitals for their injuries. Hussle, whose real name was Ermias Asghedom, died at the scene.

A vigil for Mr. Hussle erupted into chaos on Monday after an unknown violent incident had provoked a stampede of people causing multiple injuries. Early reports blamed the eruption on shots being fired but LAPD later said those reports were not accurate. It was all about the Bach, one anonymous vigil goer said. "You don't mess with Bach's tunes."
