AOC Drops History-Altering Bombshell: "Black Americans Created Democracy From Nothing," Podcast Host Enthusiastically Agrees Before Realizing He Still Has to Pay Taxes

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a lot of things, but she is definitely no Victor Davis Hanson when it comes to American history, or much else, for that matter.

In a revelation that has left ancient Greeks, Enlightenment philosophers, and every Founding Father collectively facepalming from beyond the grave, America's foremost revisionist historian and occasional bartender, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), dropped a bombshell on the country the other day.

She informed us all that it was black Americans who created democracy: "I think about the Civil Rights and voting rights movement, and how black Americans really created democracy in this country . . . black Americans created democracy. They built something from nothing."

I had no idea. I was under the naive impression that it was the ancient Greeks and our Founding Fathers who conjured such a thing, but clearly I was the last to know. Even the podcast host she was enlightening nodded along in vigorous agreement: “Yes, YES.” Where have I been all these years? Probably busy not rewriting history to own the libs.

There you have it, folks. The 1619 Project rides again like a participation trophy on steroids. History has been rewritten, you’ve been lied to your entire life, and James Madison was apparently mixed. Unless, of course, AOC hit her head falling out of a coconut tree and is simply, resoundingly, and spectacularly wrong.

Democracy literally comes from the ancient Greek word dēmokratia: “rule by the people,” from dēmos meaning “the people” or “citizen-body,” and kratos for “power” or “rule.” By the people, for the people. Sound familiar? It describes a system in which citizens hold the power to make decisions, either directly or through their elected representatives.

In 508-507 BC, the true “Father of Democracy,” Cleisthenes, a suspiciously non-diverse Greek aristocrat, shifted power away from hereditary elites and toward the demos. He reorganized citizens into tribes based on residence rather than bloodline, introduced equality under the law, and reformed governance through popular voting.

Long after his death, the historian Thucydides praised the system: “Its administration favors the many instead of the few; this is why it is called a democracy.”

Credit for the creation of democracy goes to white, ancient Greek aristocrats wearing bedsheets. My apologies, Congresswoman. Next you'll tell us Socrates invented the filibuster.

If AOC means American democracy specifically, she’s no less mistaken. American democracy wasn’t “built from nothing” by any single group or era. It was deliberately engineered as a constitutional republic with robust democratic features during the late 18th century by a bunch of powdered-wigged guys who definitely didn't look like they just invented hip-hop. Drawing on ancient Athens and Rome, English common law, and Enlightenment thinkers including John Locke, Montesquieu, and Blackstone, our Founders designed a republic specifically intended to avoid the pitfalls of pure direct democracy. As Madison argued in Federalist No. 10, this often resulted in mob rule and instability—like, say, Twitter in 2021.

In its place, they built representative government, separation of powers, checks and balances, and federalism, all to protect individual liberty. The Miracle at Philadelphia wasn't exactly a community organizing session.

Just as it would be inaccurate to say women alone created American democracy, it is equally inaccurate to say black Americans did because it is simply not true. Unless Washington and the Founders were applying considerably more face powder than the portraits suggest. Spoiler: They weren't.

I was reminded of all this just last night at an Independent Women’s event, where extraordinary women gathered to celebrate and defend exactly this history instead of turning it into a corporate DEI seminar. That’s the spirit we need more of: women, Americans of all backgrounds, who know what this country is built on and aren’t afraid to say so. We should be teaching this, not erasing it like a bad tweet.

To be uncharacteristically charitable to AOC, one could argue that she means that black Americans, through the crucible of slavery, Reconstruction, Jim Crow, and the Civil Rights Movement, helped make the promise of democracy real rather than merely rhetorical. Indeed, black Americans’ contributions to expanding rights were immense and undeniable, but “expanding and perfecting democracy” is a very different claim from “creating it from nothing,” and conflating the two isn’t empowerment, it’s historical erasure with a side of coconut.

Meanwhile, that very democracy she claims was created by black Americans is being thwarted by her and her fellow Democrats in Washington, D.C., who treat the Constitution like an annoying Terms of Service agreement they keep clicking "Ignore." Barack Obama wants to strip away the voting rights of Republicans of all color, and they’ve promised that when they regain power, they will pack the Supreme Court, enable mass mail-in-ballots, throw away voter ID, and nuke the filibuster to add four more blue senate seats. Very "created democracy" behavior. These are not the actions of people who revere democratic institutions. They’re the actions of people who revere power—and really good campaign donors.

The danger of letting the Left rewrite history and promote fallacious ideas is not abstract. When young people and useful idiots are taught a distorted version of the past by a backward education system and p(regressive) leadership, they have no framework to defend what is true. That's the whole point. Gutting civics and history education was not an accident; it was a strategy, like replacing math with "equity."

Our Founders studied history with rigor, absorbed its lessons, and built something incredible and new: a durable, liberty-focused republic that has endured for nearly 250 years. Its genius lay not in perfection but in self-correction through elections, courts, and amendments, not reinvention via executive order and vibes.

Don’t fall for the lies: communism has failed everywhere it has been tried, Capitalism harnesses human self-interest to drive innovation, growth, and prosperity like no other, and our constitutional republic is a miraculous achievement, conceived by a very pale founding bunch and hardened over generations by Americans of different color and circumstance, bound under one creed.

That’s not an uncomfortable fact; that’s a beautiful one, and as we approach our 250th birthday, it is one worth defending clearly and without apology, or a trigger warning.

AOC does a "Joe Biden" whisper, shows her ignorance of capitalism

Let me tell you a little secret: Alexandria Obviously-Commie (Socialist-NY) isn't very bright, is spite of all the men who want nothing more than to date her and, you know. She went on Instagram Live, a Chinese Communist-owned social media platform, and did a "Joe Biden let-me-tell-you-a-little-secret" whisper that should embarrass everyone who voted for this dolt.

"Let me tell you a secret," the narcissist whispered to her 8.5 million followers. "Most people don’t really know what capitalism is. Most people don’t even know what socialism is. But most people are not capitalists, because they don’t have capitalist money. They’re not billionaires."

The thing is, AOC obviously doesn't know what capitalism is--her money comes from the taxpayers. The taxpayers earned their money working in a capitalist system whereby an agreement is reached between the worker and the employer regarding their salary for the goods and services they provide.

She was mocked on social media Friday for her pontification and her "I am smarter than most people" lie.

In the video she proudly posted, some compared her "creepy" whisper to the bizarre whispering of PINO Joe Biden.

"Pssst. I’ll tell you a secret: AOC is an embarrassment to Congress and to women everywhere," Republican congressional candidate Lavern Spicer tweeted.

"One of the most powerful women," author Gad Saad tweeted. "Good luck USA. You had a good run."

"AOC should have googled the definition of capitalist before making this video but i hope the ASMR channel works for her," political commentator Tim Pool tweeted.

Jessie Watters on Fox News Prime Time interviewed author Douglas Murray who spoke about AOC and just how uninformed she is about most of the words that come out of her mouth that turns us all on. You can see the video here.

Obviously-Commie added in the live video that labels don’t matter as much as talking about policies does.

"That’s easier to understand," she said. "Do you think people should die because they can’t afford insulin? Do you think that fossil fuel CEOs should decide whether the planet gets set on fire? Me neither."

The question is: who died because they couldn't afford insulin?

Fox Poll: Capitalism destroys Socialism

"I want your pudding"
According to a recent Fox News poll of registered voters, capitalism is significantly more popular than socialism. The poll also finds economic optimism high, and the number wanting the government to be their mommy is the lowest in years.

The new poll, released Wednesday, asks what message voters want to send to the federal government. Over half would say “leave me alone.” About a third would ask the government to “lend me a hand.”

The 34 percent saying “lend me a hand” is down from 41 percent last year and 39 percent in 2016. This may be due to people like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez displaying such a breathtakingly stupid stance on the economy that voters have come to terms with the evils of communism and socialism.

The 55 percent who would tell the government “leave me alone” is up from 51 percent in 2018 and 54 percent in 2016, proving that people can grow up after all.

Fifty-seven percent of voters have a positive opinion of the free market, because it works. That’s more than twice the number of envious folks who feel the same about socialism (25 percent). Some of the groups most likely to have a favorable view of socialism include self-identified liberals (50 percent), Clinton voters (43 percent), and those under age 30 (36 percent) who want the government to give them free stuff off the labor of others.

“Despite the prominence of socialistic ideas and policy proposals in recent weeks, Americans are favorable toward the merits of the capitalistic system,” says Republican pollster Daron Shaw, who conducts the Fox News Poll with Democrat Chris Anderson. “And they’re bullish on the state of the economy.”

Nearly four out of five voters feel their family either achieved the American Dream (38 percent), or is on the way toward achieving it (40 percent). One in five believes the dream is out of reach (18 percent) because their level of self-confidence is in the toilet and that's how they see their future unless they can get someone else to pay their way.

Sixty-three percent feel optimistic about the economy. Optimism stood at 49 percent in 2016, but somehow, that isn't Trump's doing, according to the left.

By a 47-42 percent margin, voters think capitalism in the U.S. gives them a “fair shot.”

However, men (58 percent) are 21 points more likely than women (37 percent) to say capitalism is a level playing field. This may be due to the growth of far-left men who identify as women or far-left women who believe it's up to the rich to take care of them.

Similarly, whites (52 percent) are 19 points more likely than nonwhites (33 percent), and voters ages 45 and over (54 percent) are 17 points more inclined than those with "Daddy Issues" under age 45 (37 percent) to feel they are getting a fair deal.

For more, go to the Fox News poll and draw your own conclusions about the influence of socialism in the country and how people are beginning to realize that working for their own life and that of their own family is more moral than asking someone else to pay for it.

Tucker Carlson criticizes POTUS in shocking interview

Tucker Carlson did something very "un-Fox-like": he virulently criticized President Trump, to a foreign magazine saying that he doesn't believe the president is "capable."

In an interview with Swiss magazine, Die Weltwoche on Tuesday, Carlson told Urs Gehriger at his Fox News office in Washington, D.C. that President Trump has not kept his promises and has not achieved his goals.

"His chief promises were that he would build the wall, de-fund Planned Parenthood, and repeal Obamacare, and he hasn't done any of those things," Carlson said. "I don't think he's capable. I don't think he's capable of sustained focus. I don't think he understands the system. I don't think the Congress is on his side. I don't think his own agencies support him."

Remember, Trump had the Senate and the House when he was sworn in, and now he even has the SCOTUS. He certainly could have defunded Planned Parenthood and many conservatives are not happy about that it hasn't happened.

Carlson said that he does not believe Trump is the type of president that makes a promise and then has the ability to focus, and see it through to completion.

"I think Trump's role is to begin the conversation about what actually matters," Carlson explained. "We were not having any conversation about immigration before Trump arrived in Washington. People were bothered about it in different places in the country. It's a huge country, but that was not a staple of political debate at all. Trump asked basic questions like' 'Why don't our borders work?' 'Why should we sign a trade agreement and let the other side cheat?' Or my favorite of all, 'What's the point of NATO?' The point of NATO was to keep the Soviets from invading western Europe but they haven't existed in 27 years, so what is the point? These are obvious questions that no one could answer."

"Apart from asking these very important questions has he really achieved nothing?" Gehriger asked.

"Not much. Not much," Carlson answered. "Much less than he should have. I've come to believe he's not capable of it."

Carlson is wrong.

Trump has achieved some really good things such as judicial appointments across the country, and especially the Supreme Court appointment. He also put the U.S. embassy to Israel in Jerusalem, had talks with Kim Jong un, and ended the nuclear deal with Iran. He has a great economy and job market going in the country's favor--that's big.

And he is the only president following the law regarding the illegal alien situation.

Carlson explained that he doesn't believe Trump has really achieved anything because "the legislative process in this country by design is highly complex, and it's designed to be complex as a way of diffusing power, of course, because the people who framed our Constitution, founded our country, were worried about concentrations of power."

"They balanced it among the three branches as you know and they made it very hard to make legislation," Carlson continued. "In order to do it you really have to understand how it works and you have to be very focused on getting it done, and he knows very little about the legislative process, hasn't learned anything, hasn't surrounded himself with people that can get it done, hasn't done all the things you need to do so. It's mostly his fault that he hasn't achieved those things. I'm not in charge of Trump."

Carlson, who answered questions on a multitude of issues, also criticized some aspects of capitalism, which is problematic to conservatives and many others who watch his show. So don't be surprised if he has other plans that don't include Fox News.

"Capitalism drives change, innovation change, the old ways give way to new ways of doing things, and in the process of change the weak get hurt always. [Especially if they drop their Iphones in the bathtub.] This was true in industrialization 100 years ago and it's true in the digital revolution now," Carlson incorrectly stated. "What's changed is that nobody is standing up on behalf of the people who are being crushed by the change."

Carlson later appeared to suggest that socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the future, proving he is losing his mind.
Carlson's idea of the future
Carlson has every right to believe his words, but it's apparently incongruent to Fox News' political ideology. Let's hope so.

Priest: Keep Christ out of Xmas

Belfast -- Father Desmond O'Donnell (no relation to Rosie that we are aware of) said Christians of all denominations should realize that Christmas and Easter no longer has any sacred meaning.

"We lost Christmas, just like we lost Easter, and should abandon the word completely," the defeatist priest told The Belfast Telegraph. "We need to let it go, it's already been hijacked and we just need to recognize and accept that."

"I am simply asking that space be preserved for believers for whom Christmas has nothing to do with Santa and reindeer," he bloviated.

The good priest went on and on about his religious experience of "true Christmas" and how superficial losers see Christmas: as a fun holiday of giving and red nose reindeer.

These people need to stop using Christ's name but they deserve to have a holiday (a word derived from the words 'holy day').

"I'm just trying to rescue the reality of Christmas for believers by giving up 'Christmas' and replacing it with another word [like, umm . . . 'Festivus']."

"I'm all for Christians choosing to celebrate Christmas by going out for meals and enjoying a glass of wine, but the commercialism of anything is never good."

Unless you consider growth as good.

"Faddah" O'Donnell (as Jimmy Cagney might refer to him) is a registered psychologist and author and said that he didn't intend his words to be a criticism of non-Christians.

Merry Christmas! Now let's go shopping for our loved ones.

The G20 is a riot

Photo: Bodo Marks/dpa via AP
Hamburg, Germany -- The big question of the day is whether or not New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio will wear his Guy Fawkes at the G20 summit or leave it home in Gracie Mansion. He probably isn't going to be breaking any windows, throwing any Molotov cocktail (poor man's bomb), or trying to hit a police officer with a brick when he isn't looking. De Blasio left his deteriorating city to speak at the anti-capitalism, anti-globalization protest outside the G20.

Anti-globalization protesters have rioted for a second night in Hamburg, looting supermarkets, because their mob mentality tells them all food should be free for them to take; attacking police with slingshots and Molotov cocktails, because they hate their parents and cops represent authority; and setting up barricades because if they have to be inconvenienced to come and protest, the rest of Hamburg should be inconvenienced too.

The rioting was extremely violent early Saturday in Hamburg's Schanzenviertel neighborhood, according to police. Hundreds of cops went into buildings to find and arrest rioters, only to be attacked with iron rods and petrol bombs thrown from the roofs.

Thirteen scum toads were arrested when special units stormed one building.

About 500 rioters looted a supermarket and smaller stores in the Schanzenviertel neighborhood. Street fires were lit, cars were torched as the rioters build barricades with garbage cans and bikes.

Hopefully, de Blasio will get power-hosed before this is over.
