Jamira Shutes sucker punches BGSU's Elissa Brett in handshake line: racism or March Madness?

If Bowling Green State University basketball player Elissa Brett sucker-punched Jamira Shutes on the handshake line after the game, Al Sharptongue, Jesse Jackson, AOC, Hakeem Jeffries, and every member of Black Lives Matter would have gone berserk and called for a protest and called Brett a racist. 

But that isn't what happened. In fact, it was Shutes, whose team lost to the Falcons, sucker-punched Brett after the game as the players lined up to shake hands.

The Memphis guard Jamirah Shutes has been charged Thursday with assault after Bowling Green scored a third-round victory in the Women's National Invitational Tournament (WNIT).

The Bowling Green State University Police Department issued a press release Friday confirming that Shutes, a fifth-year player, was charged after the "unwarranted physical incident" involving Brett at the conclusion of BGSU’s 73-60 victory over Memphis. It is not known whether Shutes was left back academically as she is a fifth-year player and Memphis is a 4-year college, but the more important point is that Memphis lost the game and Shutes was on the losing team and is a loser in more ways than one.

There is no excuse for what Shutes did, even though her team lost to BGSU 73-60.

"Following Thursday’s unwarranted physical incident after the WNIT home game, the Bowling Green State University Police Department has charged a member of the Memphis women’s basketball team with assault," the statement said.

"Violence is never acceptable, and our priority remains the health, safety and support of our student-athlete, who is recovering and doing well. This is an active investigation in conjunction with the City of Bowling Green Prosecutor, and no further comment is available at this time."

Police said BGSU Athletics was also conducting its own review.

The incident happened at the conclusion of the Memphis-BGSU Sweet 16 matchup. As both teams approached center court to shake hands, Shutes stopped when she reached Brett.

Evidently feeling upset that she and her team lost to BGSU 73-60, Shutes then sucker-punched Brett, forcing her to the ground, according to police

A member of the Memphis Tigers' coaching staff grabbed Shutes and escort her off the court.

According to an incident report, Brett sustained "swelling in their right eye due to this strike."

Memphis released a statement Friday confirming that it was working with local authorities, because they had no choice.

"The incident that occurred following Thursday’s women’s basketball game was extremely unfortunate and certainly not consistent with, or representative of, our expectations for our programs and student-athletes," the statement said.

The incident had nothing to do with being unfortunate. The incident was criminal, not unfortunate--it's called battery.

"Because the incident occurred after the game, jurisdiction falls in the hands of local authorities, and we are cooperating fully with their process. To be respectful of that process, we will not comment further until it is complete."

A native of Tennessee, Shutes became the 27th player in program history to score 1,000 points. She ranks 13th at the school all-time in career points and is still an a-hole in spite of her ability to put a round object through a slightly larger hoop.

Shutes might even be a racist, but I have no proof of that. Racist is a term that should not be thrown around carelessly, but 'shoe on the other foot,' well, you know.

Tenn. BLM founder voted illegally: sentenced to 6 years

Pamela Moses, a Black Lives Matter chapter founder in Tennessee was busted for illegally registering to vote while she was still on probation for a previous crime.

Moses [not to be confused with the Jewish prophet who led his people out of Egypt and is also credited with writing the Torah, the Jewish. equivalent of the Koran but without all the beheadings and cutting] pleaded guilty in 2015 to felonies including tampering with evidence and forgery, and misdemeanor charges of stalking, perjury, theft under $500, and escape. For some reason, perhaps because it didn't happen in New York or California, this made her ineligible to vote in Tennessee due to her tampering with evidence charge and she was currently serving seven years of probation.

You might think that all these legal problems would have Moses think twice before committing another crime, but you'd be wrong.

"You tricked the probation department into giving you documents saying you were off probation," Criminal Court Judge W. Mark Ward told the founder of the BLM chapter in Memphis, on Monday.

However, Moses said at the hearing that she believed she could vote again despite her criminal past because the corrections department and county election commission both signed off on her voter registration application in 2019. 

And while it was not disclosed which party Moses belongs to, one might hazard a guess that she's on the Left of Bernie Sanders--most felons are.

As one might guess, the officials who signed off on her application admitted they were in error when they said her probation was over, according to the birdcage liner known as the Washington Post.

"I did not falsify anything. All I did was try to get my rights to vote back the way the people at the election commission told me and the way the clerk did," she claimed at the hearing.

Moses founded the local BLM chapter in Memphis. She also ran for mayor in Memphis in 2019, a position often held by criminals, but learned she could not be on the ballot due to her serving probation. It was also learned that her urine test came back angry.

She is sentenced to serve six years and one day in the slammer, but her lawyer said Moses plans to appeal the sentencing.

"This case is one about the disparity in sentencing and punishment — and one that shouldn’t have happened," attorney Bede Anyanwu told the Washington Post. "It’s all very, very disturbing."

What's also very, very disturbing is that a Marxist ran for mayor and had she not been busted for her crimes, might have won.

Pro Golfer Thorbjorn Olesen arrested on plane for alleged sexual assault of sleeping woman and peeing in aisle

No, seriously, that is what was alleged to have happened--a professional golfer, Thorbjorn Olesen was arrested this week for allegedly sexually assaulting a sleeping woman on a flight from Tennessee to London.

What was he thinking?

The 29-year-old Danish golfer was on a British Airways flight from Memphis to Heathrow on Monday. He was allegedly drunk and became abusive, according to multiple reports.

Olesen is currently ranked 62 in the world. He was returning to Europe after playing in the PGA Tour's WGC-FedEx St. June Invitational in Memphis over the weekend. He is also accused of peeing in the first-class aisle of the airplane, made a pass at a female passenger and is being investigated for sexually assaulting a sleeping woman on the flight.

A witness told The Sun that Olesen "started abusing some of the passengers and crew."

Fellow golfer Ian Poulter – Olesen’s teammate at the 2018 Ryder Cup – tried to calm Olesen during the flight, but after he went to sleep for the long flight, Olesen continued his behavior.

Poulter’s agent told the Independent that the golfer was unaware of Olesen’s behavior until police arrived at the landing gate to arrest his teammate.

Scotland Yard confirmed to the Sun that a 29-year-old man was arrested on “suspicion of sexual assault, being drunk on board an aircraft and failing to comply with the orders of cabin crew.” Police said the unidentified man was released under investigation.

Currently, both CNN and MSNBC are working on various ways to spin this story and blame Olesen's behavior on President Trump. The one thread that runs through this story is golf. Maybe golf and Trump's involvement with the sport can be that link.

Incoming Tenn. Rep. calls residents 'racist' GOP voters 'uneducated'

A newly-elected black racist and Tennessee state lawmaker, London Lamar, is saying she's sorry after she got caught on a video that recently surfaced. The Democrat called her state "racist" and said that most of the state's residents who voted not for her party, but "voted Republican are uneducated," thus equating education with intelligence, which is an unintelligent thing to do.

Lamar is to take office in January after running uncontested in the state's House District 91 in the Memphis area. She made those racist comments last week in a Facebook Live video which was posted the morning after the midterm elections.

"Let's just call a spade a spade," she said, using a term that was once as bad as the "n" word. "Tennessee is racist. Period," she said, trying to sound like her hero, Barack Hussein Obama who made an art out of racial division in America.

The video has been saved on several news websites after she removed it from Facebook.

She said, "Most of the Tennesseans who voted Republican are uneducated. So, they don't even know that they showed up to the polls to vote against their own interests. They literally voted on color lines."

On Monday, addressing the FB video post, Lamar described what she said as a "statistical analysis of the midterm elections based on my numerous years of political experience."

Luckily, as a Republican with a PhD, I was able to understand her words, although I don't believe her. Especially when she also went after President Trump, the default position for liberals without a clear agenda on policy.

Free Speech: "Uncle ISIS Wants You"

Rep. Martin Daniel (R-Knoxville) sponsored the "Tennessee Student Free Speech Protection Act" and was asked by Rep. John DeBerry Jr. (D-Memphis) whether he would support the right of ISIS to recruit on campus.

What Daniel said in answer to that question gave credence to the notion that the "R" in "R-Knoxville" stands for something other than "Republican." It would be politically incorrect for me to say what I believe it represents.

"Yes," (the mentally challenged) Daniels replied. "So long as it doesn't disrupt the proceedings on that campus. Yes sir. They can recruit people for any other organization or any other cause. I think it's just part of being exposed to differing viewpoints."

When taking an unwavering, suicidal stand based upon a principal that would eventually destroy your right to invoke that principal, you are either an idiot or a jihadist, or both.

Daniel's bill was intended to challenge free speech restrictions being enforced on campuses across America. Its intentions were good--they are meant to uphold our First Amendment rights, I get that.

But with our rights must come exceptions that make sense.

The Supreme Court addressed the issue of "Incitement" and held that "advocacy of the use of force" is not protected when "directed to inciting or producing imminent lawless action" and is "likely to produce such action." 

In Chaplinsky v. New Hampshire (1942), the Supreme Court held that speech is unprotected if it constitutes "fighting words." That is, speech that "tend[s] to incite an immediate breach of the peace" by provoking violence. 

Threats of violence directed at an individual or group (such as Jewish students, in this case) would be unprotected. An exception would be if the threats are seen as hyperbole, but based on the history of ISIS, a threat of violence would not constitute hyperbole--it's how they roll.

So Rep. Daniel's bill, for all its good intentions, does not legally protect the speech of an organization such as ISIS. 

And Rep. Daniel is most likely an idiot.

If It's Black on White, It's Alright

President "We Shall Overcome" Obama has weighed in on Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown. I understand he plans to weigh in on the final suspension of Baltimore Ravens linebacker, Ray Rice, a black man who beat his then fiancée unconscious. The domestic abuse was captured on an elevator video in the Atlantic City casino where Rice and his fiancée were staying. 

Comparing Rice to his fiancée is like comparing a bull to a kitten--she is much smaller than him. Sugar Ray was able to knock her out with one punch, then he dragged her off the elevator into the lobby where he admitted what he had done. The NFL says that only now have they seen this second video which actually shows him throwing the punch (whereas the first video only showed him doing the dragging).  

Originally, the NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell suspended Rice for two games, a suspension that is less than the one given by the league for smoking pot. With the flack he received from this light punishment Goodell admitted he was wrong and made the suspension 6 whole games and a second offense would be a dismissal from the league. So the message is clear: make sure you get your licks in the first time, you violent asshats.

But the video is damning for Rice but at least he got to marry his enabler.

So it is rumored that Obama plans to speak on the Ray Rice situation.

Obama does not have any plans insofar as I know, of speaking about the gang attack that took place over the weekend in Memphis, TN. Maybe that's because it was a black on white attack.

According to the police, a gang of teens emerged from a strip mall restaurant, where the incident took place. They attacked a 25 year old white man who had gotten out of his car and began walking toward the Kroger's grocery store. Two other employees of the Kroger's saw the attack and went to help. (They too were of the Caucasian persuasion.) The gang whaled on them, beating them into unconsciousness

While the attack took place, a crowd of about 20 teens stood by and laughed, cheering the gang on with "Fan mob!"

Of course, the Memphis Police Commissioner Toney Armstrong did not call it a hate crime.

"We are fully aware of the last night's incidents. It is extremely troubling to see how many young people were involved, especially on the heels of last week's youth forum," Armstrong said. I could go on, but I might throw up in my mouth.

No, Obama or his favorite race-baiter-agitator, the very Revolting Al Sharptongue, will not address this hate crime, or any hate crime when it's a black on white attack.

Nor will Eric Holder likely prosecute those "misguided Memphis kids," any more than he prosecuted the New Black Panthers for voter intimidation of white voters at a Philadelphia polling place who simply wanted to vote in the last presidential election. (It's on YouTube if you haven't seen it.)

The worst part however, isn't the obvious partiality shown to certain interest groups by this administration; it's the fact that Congress has done nothing to check and balance it.

I'm going to go into that shoebox and find my "Throw Them All Out" button.
