A Blaze of Hatred in Boulder: The West Faces Its Reckoning

In Boulder, Colorado, a place one might naively associate with peaceable liberalism, a "targeted terror attack" has scorched the streets, leaving victims burned, some clinging to life, and a community reeling.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation, under Director Kash Patel, is now dissecting this act of barbarism, which unfolded near the Pearl Street Mall on a Sunday afternoon, around 4:30 p.m., where the air turned thick with chaos and the stench of malevolence and, dare I say, full-blown anti-Semitism.

"We are aware of and fully investigating a targeted terror attack in Boulder, Colorado," Patel posted on X.  "Our agents and local law enforcement are on the scene already, and we will share updates as more information becomes available."

A man is in custody, Boulder Police Chief Steve Redfearn confirmed, though he offered no further details, as if silence could shield us from the truth.

The attack struck near an event organized by "Run for Their Lives," a grassroots movement that dares to demand the release of Israeli hostages held by Hamas.

This was no random act of violence; it was a calculated assault on those who marched for a cause both moral and humane.  Anyone who believes otherwise has their head buried in the sand.

As Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, rightly stated, "Today, in Boulder, Colorado, Jewish people marched with a moral and humane demand: to return the hostages. In response, the Jewish protesters were brutally attacked, with an attacker throwing Molotov cocktails at them. Make no mistake, this is not a political protest, this is terrorism."

His words burn with clarity: this is not a debate, not a clash of ideas, but a raw, unfiltered act of hatred. "The time for statements is over," Danon insisted. "It is time for concrete action to be taken against the instigators wherever they may be."

The scene was one of pandemonium. Boulder police evacuated three surrounding blocks, expanding the cordon just before 5:15 p.m., as if the very ground had become suspect. Colorado’s Governor Jared Polis, not a man known for hyperbole, called it a "heinous act of terror." On X, he wrote, "I am closely monitoring the situation in Boulder, and my thoughts go out to the people who have been injured and impacted by this heinous act of terror. Hate-filled acts of any kind are unacceptable."

Representative Joe Neguse, his voice heavy with grief, added simply, "I am praying hard for the victims."

We do not yet know the full toll, how many lie wounded, how many teeter on the edge of life. What we do know is that this was no isolated outburst. Danon’s warning resonates: "Terrorism against Jews does not stop at the Gaza border, it is already burning the streets of America."

Something has to be done, and I believe Jews aren't going to continue allowing themselves to be victimized without serious repercussions for the perpetrators.

The West, in its complacency, has allowed this fire to spread, fanned by those who mistake tolerance for surrender. "Run for Their Lives," a movement born in California’s Bay Area, meets weekly across the globe to quietly plead for the hostages’ freedom. Quietly. And yet, even this modest act of solidarity was met with Molotov cocktails.

This is the world we now inhabit—one where a walk for humanity is answered with flames. The question is not whether we will respond, but whether we have the courage to confront the ideology that fuels such acts. As Danon said, the time for statements is over. The West must decide: will it dither, or will it act?

CO Gov. calls gang takeovers of buildings "imagination"

There is a frightening situation going on in Aurora, Colorado. Illegal aliens who belong to Venezuela's Tren de Aragua gang have gone into buildings armed and potentially violent, ready to take over apartment complexes, beat the crap out of renters, and operate a retail theft ring.

Unlike Denver down the road a bit, Aurora is not a sanctuary city and haven't provided resources to illegal alien care. The residents of the town have tried working with state law enforcement agencies but the Governor, Jared Polis (D-of course) doesn't seem to care nor take the situation seriously.

Polis recently scoffed at the Venezuelan gang stories calling them all to be a figment of one member of the Aurora City Council's imagination. (H/T NY Post)

Never mind that it's on video of these gang members armed to the teeth with handguns, rifles with bipods, and battering rams breaking into apartments and terrorizing residents. Video is not imagination nor are the police reports that have been generated from these atrocious acts.

If Polis was forced to live in one of these apartments, there's no doubt he would react differently. But politicians are not affected directly by violence for the most part, and they couldn't care less about residents as long as they keep getting voted in.

Polis’ press office offered the snarky statement Wednesday night in response to Aurora City Councilwoman Danielle Jurinsky — who told The Post the gang’s takeovers are tied to his policies.

“The Governor has already let the Mayor know that the State is ready to support the local police department with assistance from state troopers and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation if needed,” Shelby Wieman, a spokesperson for the Democratic governor, told The Post.

“But, according to police intelligence this purported invasion is largely a feature of Danielle Jurinsky’s imagination.”

So Polis pees on our legs and tells us it's just raining.

We know that one person has already been shot and critically wounded by these illegal aliens. Others were beaten and required hospitalization. Many had to flee their own homes and theft for the local Walmart at the apartment complex in question has soared and goods are being sold off on the black market. It sounds a lot like what Hamas has been doing with the aid coming into Gaza by truck--they commandeer it and sell it off or use if for themselves.

The local news ran videos of groups of men speaking Spanish and armed with handguns and rifles breaking into one of the apartments. What does Polis have to see to convince him that this isn't one person's imagination.

But stupid people don't know that they're stupid.

Prisoner released to protect him from Covid murders young mom

Colorado Gov. Jared Polis (D) gave an executive order that eventuated in a prison release that resulted in the murder of a 21-year-old mother. [H/T: Blue Lives Matter]

Polis' executive order granted an early release of a prison inmate to protect him from the coronavirus, however, it did nothing to protect the victim and citizens of Colorado.

But hey, that ought to get Polis the leftist vote come next election because it shows he knows how to virtue signal to his base.

The scumbag in question, Cornelius Haney, 40, was serving a seven-year sentence stemming from an armed robbery charge when he was allowed to walk out of the slammer on April 15, according to WJAX.

“Mr. Haney was released due to special needs parole criteria,” Colorado Department of Corrections (DOC) spokesperson Annie Skinner said in a statement. “When looking at special needs parole criteria, the Department of Corrections’ medical staff reviews offenders for risk factors related to COVID as documented by the Centers for Disease Control.”

It's a good thing they reviewed Haney's risk factor because it did a lot of good for Heather Perry, the mother of two. She had been fatally shot and her body was found in an alley in the 1400 block of North Verbena, the outlet reported.

Surveillance footage helped identify Haney, tracing him to the scene.

Haney, a convicted felon, was located in a motel bathroom two days after Perry was killed. He had two bags of suspected cocaine hidden in the toilet. He had been out of the joint only three weeks before he allegedly killed Ms. Perry, thanks to the assessment of his risk factor, obviously not an exact science.

As to why his risk factor did nothing to warn the Colorado Department of Corrections that letting him loose might be a problem is a mystery. After all, his other convictions included kidnapping, theft, attempted escape and drug charges, and he'd served a separate five-year sentence for felony assault. The guy was a softie--no danger to the public, according to his risk factor.

I mean, c'mon man, do the math.

The dude faces new charges of gun possession by a previous offender, second-degree kidnapping, drug possession, theft, second-degree murder, and felony murder, as reported by the Canon City Daily Record

On Friday, Colorado Governor Jared Polis confirmed that Haney had been released under his executive order, but argued that he would have gotten out of prison by late summer anyway, so it was no big deal that he was let go.

“He would have had mandatory parole granted in August of this year,” Polis said. “He has been up for parole since 2017.”

Maybe this parole thing also needs to be looked at. The guy was denied parole in the past.

“You get passed over for parole because you’re not complying,” Eighteenth Judicial District Attorney George Brauchler said. “If the Department of Corrections had not cut this guy loose, he would not have murdered this woman. That’s just the fact.”

Polis did not speculate about why the parole board denied Haney’s release for three years, because having speculated on that might have proven his risk factor assessment is as worthless as a degree in lesbian dance theory.
