Buttigieg in September: airline issues would "get better" by holidays

Transportation Secretary Peter Buttigieg said in September that he was increasing pressure on airlines. He told this to insomniacs who stay up late to watch "The Late Late Show with James Corden."

Well, that didn't work out so well for travelers over the Christmas holidays as many thousands were stranded at airports while Pete chest-fed his baby as his husband sat by proudly watching. [Just kidding--men can't chest-feed because they aren't women, the only gender who can.]

Now he's being blasted for his response to the airline clusterfrack after assuring Americans that air travel issues would improve before the holidays, proving talk is cheap and that he got the job mainly because he's gay.

In the September TV appearance Buttigieg said he was increasing pressure on U.S. airlines after travelers experienced an expensive and chaotic summer.

"I think it's gonna get better by the holidays," the incompetent clueless transportation secretary said at the time. "We’re really pressing the airlines to deliver better service. So many people have been delayed, been canceled, it happened to me several times this summer. And the fact is they need to be ready to service the tickets that they're selling."

"If you've ever been mistreated by an airline, if they haven't given you the refund they owe you, if they haven't lived up to their customer service obligations, we will have your back," he claimed. "We went from zero of the top 10 airlines committing that they're going to provide a meal or hotel, for example, to eight out of 10 doing it. So we're pushing them."

This week, Buttigieg called on Southwest Airlines to fully compensate customers for travel, meal and lodging expenses after thousands of flights were canceled and travelers were left stranded at airports over the holidays.

Buttigieg is taking heat from both sides of the political aisle over the situation and his inability to handle it.

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) told Sean Hannity that Buttigieg should increase pressure on Southwest Airlines and audit to see how billions in taxpayer-funded relief the company received was spent. She explained that her role on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee was a main reason to her need in finding answers to the problem as well as the fact that her own kids were stranded at BWI Airport in Baltimore on Christmas Eve.

"[T]his hit close to home, because my kids my teenage kids got stranded in Baltimore trying to make it home on Christmas Eve. And even today, five days later, we still don't know where their luggage is right now," she said. "And so we've been personally impacted by this."

Isn't it always most important to politicians when they are directly affected by the policies they voted for? Had this happened to Pete Buttigieg's husband, things would likely have been different.

Beth Van Duyne (R-TX), agreed with Mace's sentiments, asserting to Hannity that Buttigieg is unqualified to serve in his current role, pointing to the supply chain crisis early in his tenure, [and the unfilled potholes in South Bend, Indiana where he was mayor].

"Earlier this year, we had the rail strike potential looming over us," Van Duyne said. "We were going to have, again, I mean, a massive amount of hit to our economy. You're going to have municipalities that couldn't get chemicals to be able to treat their water supply. And where was Pete? Oh, that's right. He was on a family vacation in Portugal."

"This is a man who was not qualified for the job, has never really been on the job," she added. "And we've trusted him with $1.2 trillion worth of taxpayer dollars."

The Alfred E. Neuman 'what, me worry?' impersonator was warned by Democrats in his own party about concerns within the airline industry before Southwest’s mass cancelations.

"The problems at Southwest Airlines over the last several days go beyond weather," Sen. Maria Cantwell, (D-WA) the chair of the Senate Commerce Committee on Commerce, said in a statement Tuesday. "The committee will be looking into the causes of these disruptions and its impact to consumers."

Cantwell, along with Democratic Sens. Ed Markey (D-MA) and stolen valor perpetrator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) filed a comment in November to the Department of Transportation on the need to hurry its process to finalize a rule to ensure that consumers are properly refunded for cancelations and get accommodations.

In August, a bipartisan group of 38 state attorneys general wrote to Congress saying that Buttigieg was failing to adequately respond to airline consumer complaints, and they asked for legislation to allow states to enforce federal consumer protection laws.

"Americans are justifiably frustrated that federal government agencies charged with overseeing airline consumer protection are unable or unwilling to hold the airline industry accountable and to swiftly investigate complaints submitted to the US DOT," read the letter signed by Arizona’s Mark Brnovic, New York’s Letitia James and others.

The Senate Commerce Committee stated that it would investigate Southwest for the cancelations, but not Pete Buttigieg because he falls into a victim status category.

Self-loathing racist Democrat wants skin color to determine vaccination priority, not vulnerability of individuals

Stupid is as stupid does

There is no rational reason why any race of human beings should receive the COVID-19 vaccination before any other race. The criteria for one's place in line should be about the vulnerability of an individual bases on what leftists love to refer to as "the science." And yet, while the left calls conservatives science deniers whenever they disagree on issues like climate change, for example, this is how they label us.

The inoculation against a disease that is deadly to a particular population should not be prescribed by "racial justice." Racial justice is a term the left made up in order to get the votes from minorities, just like the left wants no restrictions on illegal aliens entering the country. Let's not pretend that if illegal aliens tended to vote for Republicans, the left would call for the unimpeded influx of illegal aliens.

Massachusetts Sen. Ed Markey (D) said that "racial justice" should be the first priority in vaccinating Americans, because, um, racial justice [and votes]. The fact that the left doesn't see this as a self-serving political ploy is the very definition of cognitive dissonance.

Many ripped the liberal senator’s tweet, saying that minimizing deaths should be the number one priority, and this has absolutely nothing to do with the amount of melanin in one's skin, but is determined in great length by age, certain medical conditions, and weight.

Markey transparently posted:
"Racial justice must be our number one priority as we distribute the COVID-19 vaccine," the Connecticut Democrat. "Join me live with @SenWarren, @RepPressley, @NikaElugardo, @macurry01, and Rev. Culpepper as we discuss the need for greater equity and accessibility in vaccinations."
Fox News pundit Guy Benson replied: "No, it must not." And others, including Bret Hume from the same network wrote: "Shouldn’t the priority be those most vulnerable to severe illness and even death from COVID?"

As mentioned, the Left only follows "the science" when the science suits their agenda. When Rochelle Walensky, the head of the Centers for Disease Control, initially said that kids and teachers could return to the classroom, the Left in concert with the Teacher's Unions pressured her to change her opinion and told the American public that we might have to wait until, like forever, or at least until the return of Hale-Bopp in 4385 on its regular journey around the Sun.

In December, a panel of CDC "experts" debated whether essential workers should get the vaccine before the elderly in their official recommendation. They ultimately recommended those over age 75 and frontline essential workers be included in Phase 1b.

In an effort to speed up the vaccination process off to a slow start in most states, the federal government on Jan. 12 encouraged all states to begin vaccinating residents 65 and older, along with those with underlying conditions.

Skin color or immigration status was not an issue with "the science."

The one thing we have learned from this pandemic is that our Congress is mostly comprised of non essential personnel as witnessed in their focus on the second impeachment of Donald J. Trump rather than on working to defeat the coronavirus.

Alex from da Bronx upset that Mitch McConnell took her empty-headed plan seriously

Can you guess which one is the happy socialist?
Socialist Rep. Alexandria Obviously-Comatose (D-NY) is angry at Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell because after she proposed her ridiculous $93 trillion Green New Deal, he decided to allow a vote on it next week. Having a modicum of self-awareness of her doltish proposal, she knew it would be looked at as a feeble attempt at sounding intelligent, so she took to Twitter and said that McConnell was "wasting votes" and that his plan was "a disgrace."

But it isn't wasting votes because voting on the GND would show the American public just where their representatives stood on socialism, cow farts, the abolishment of all carbon emissions including autos and planes, to support a program designed to bankrupt the country and make her "the boss."

Ocasio-Cortez's ire was sparked by a report in The Washington Post that noted that Republicans are elevating the crazy fringe, far-left-wing of the Democratic Party — which includes her — to see which 2020 Democratic presidential candidates are crazy enough to align with their agenda.

The Post notes that that effort begins next week with a "midweek vote on the Green New Deal" to see which Democrats support the plan, which is the aforementioned massive government takeover of private industries.

"The GOP’s whole game of wasting votes in Congress to target others 'on the record', for leg they have no intent to pass, is a disgrace," Ocasio-Cortez tweeted. "Stop wasting the American peoples’ time + learn to govern. Our jobs aren’t for campaigning, & that’s exactly what these bluff-votes are for."

So why then did she propose it if she didn't want the GOP to take her seriously?

"I've noted with great interest the Green New Deal," McConnell said last month. "And we're going to be voting on that in the Senate. Give everybody an opportunity to go on record and see how they feel about the Green New Deal."

Now that's a good one.

Democratic Sen. Ed Markey, who introduced the laughable Green New Deal with the freshman socialist AOC, inexplicably claimed last month that McConnell allowing a vote on the bill was his way of secretly "sabotaging" it.

So voting on their proposal would sabotage their proposal--makes perfect sense if you happen to be a flaming contrarian.

"Don’t let Mitch McConnell fool you: this is nothing but an attempt to sabotage the movement we are building," Markey tweeted. "He wants to silence your voice so Republicans don’t have to explain why they are climate change deniers. McConnell wants this to be the end, this is just the beginning."

Republicans, for the most part, are not climate change deniers. We understand that there is likely some truth to the change in climate. But when idiots like Markey and Comatose tell us we've got a dozen years to do something or die, that sounds like something Beto O'Rourke might tell his wife is a green avocado.

"This isn't a new Republican trick," Markey continued. "By rushing a vote on the #GreenNewDeal resolution, Republicans want to avoid a true national debate & kill our efforts to organize. We’re having the first national conversation on climate change in a decade. We can’t let Republicans sabotage it."

Sorry, you can't have it both ways, Markey. You and your idiot child put the deal together as an actual proposal, and maybe you didn't read it yourself, but voting on it is the best way to consider its merits.

Earlier this month, even the very liberal AFL-CIO, America’s largest organized-labor group, slammed Comatose's plan in a letter, saying that it could "cause immediate harm to millions of our members and their families." They were considering to recommend that AOC stick to bartending and get out of politics.

"We welcome the call for labor rights and dialogue with labor, but the Green New Deal resolution is far too short on specific solutions that speak to the jobs of our members and the critical sections of our economy," the letter from the AFL-CIO Energy Committee stated. "It is not rooted in an engineering-based approach and makes promises that are not achievable or realistic."

In fact, they're absolutely schizophrenic in a socialist kind of way.

"We will not accept proposals that could cause immediate harm to millions of our members and their families," the letter continued. "We will not stand by and allow threats to our members’ jobs and their families’ standard of living go unanswered."

So AOC was even able to piss off America's largest organized labor organization.

But she's cute and can dance.

The end is near! We still only have 12 years to live

Global warming is a life and death issue and so is the Green New Deal. Especially the part where all the buildings, commercial and private, must be retrofitted or something, or be knocked down and rebuilt. And the part in the GND that would pay people a 'living wage' even those who refuse to work.

Gun control is also a life or death issue. AR-15 rifles especially are dangerous and used only for killing people; David Hogg says so and he must know because he wears his cap backwards, living the thug life, and he was at school when a gunman, armed with an AR-15, killed some of Hogg's fellow students. Being a witness or a victim makes liberals experts and Hogg is now the gun lobby maven.

Of course, had Scott Peterson, the cop at the school, been armed with an AR-15, and wasn't a freaking p***y, he might have prevented many deaths. But liberals didn't factor that in.

Now the former bartender and current Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has amped up the rhetoric in her push for a Green New Deal. That's the latest  “life and death” issue. She also said we would all be dead in a dozen years, but maybe the GND will save the world.

The star fresh-idiot Democrat fired off a series of tweets Tuesday night about her ridiculous communist proposal disguised as an environmental plan.

She tweeted:
“Don’t mess with our future. When it comes to climate, it’s all our lives at stake. The younger you are, the more consequences you’ll see. It’s life and death for us. And we will fight like it.”
The New York Communist calling herself a Democratic socialist also attacked the GOP for allegedly ‘doing nothing to stop’ climate change, before turning up the heat on Republicans she accused of trying to sow doubt on the issue.
“They knew early… Do you really think these increasingly regular & horrific wildfires & droughts are a coincidence? That growing regularity of '100-year floods' is an accident?
“We are losing our homes & loved ones *now.* And GOP doesn’t even care enough to try.”
What the hell is she talking about? Who is losing their homes and loved ones? Where does she come up with this nonsense?

The rising democratic communist/socialist star’s remarks came after Arkansas Republican Sen. Tom Cotton blasted the Green New Deal plan and said the media were “complicit” in burying the most radical parts of the deal, which is most of the deal itself.

Cotton, a staunch Republican, appeared on "The Hugh Hewitt Show" on Tuesday and discussed the Green New Deal that aims to implement sweeping changes across the nation to form a communist state where the people owe everything to the government and the government can take it away from them if they don't behave.

Cotton said the media was complicit in hiding a now-infamous FAQ document circulated by the Ocasio-Cortez office, which included lines such as promising a job to “all people of the United States” – including those “unwilling to work” – and making air travel obsolete and eliminate "farting cows."

“I understand the Democrats that proposed this immediately tried to retract that white paper that went along with their resolution,” Cotton pointed out. “And too many people in the media have been complicit in the Stalin-like or 1984 technique of disappearing it, sending it down the memory hole.”

Hey, it worked for Stalin.

Multiple Democratic 2020 candidates such as Sens. Elizabeth Warren, Cory Booker, Kamala Harris, and Kirsten Gillibrand have endorsed the deal because they are scared to death of Alexandria Occasionally Coherent-Cortex.

“I’m proud to co-sponsor @AOC and @EdMarkey's Green New Deal. We must aggressively tackle climate change which poses an existential threat to our nation,” Harris wrote when announcing her support of the plan, adding in that “The Green New Deal is a bold plan to shift our country to 100% clean and renewable energy.”

It's silly, impractical and immoral.

Yo Joe, Where'd Ya Go?

It's good to know that while president Obama is in Northern Ireland for the G8 conference, our country is in good hands with Joe Biden at the helm. Wait--where is Biden? He's been laying low lately and I believe that with all the scandals going on, this is probably the smartest thing he's ever done in his life. Of course he didn't lay completely low. He appeared on June 11th at a fund raiser for Ed Markey where he claims the GOP has changed and now we're beholden to Ted Cruz and Rand Paul. Biden bellowed that the great state of Massachusetts does not need a Republican senator because Obama needs a Democrat to push his socialistic ideas through--actually he didn't exactly say that, but you get my point.
