St. Paddy's Day in Israel

Tomorrow is Israel's big election where the current Prime Minister, Benjamin (Bibi) Netanyahu and his Likud party is in a close race with the centrist Zionist party. The latest polls show the Zionist party is slightly ahead.

The Center-left Zionist party is led by Tsipi Livni and Isaac Herzog, both predicting that an "upheaval" is in the wings. If this is true, then I believe Israel is doomed. If the government goes "dove," then the Hamas fox will eat it for dinner.

Bibi vowed in a Monday interview, that if he is re-elected, a Palestinian state will not be established. For those of you who are not anti-Semitic and perhaps even pro-Israel, that's a good thing. Let's be clear, Hamas wants the total destruction of Israel and the Muslims in Gaza and throughout the Islamic world, want the same thing.

It isn't about land--it's about hating Jews.

Bibi made it clear that if Israel withdrew from the current occupied areas to allow for a Palestinian state to occupy that land, it would spell disaster as it would be taken over by jihadists whose main ambition in life is death and eternal Paradise with 72 virgins, young boys and rivers of wine. 

The surest way to have the gift of Paradise is to kill Jews and infidels, but especially Jews. Mohammad hated them. The Koran hates them. Allah hates them. (Funny, you'd think a wise and all-powerful god such as Allah would know better than to create a group of people he hates and ask humans, who are not as powerful than he is, to kill them. Maybe this Allah god isn't all that powerful, after all.)

Back in 2005, Israel peacefully withdrew from the Gaza Strip. Enter Hamas, who soon started escalating their attacks on Israeli civilians. Livni and Herzog believe these barbarians can be reasoned with--they are useful idiots.

In a speech he gave on Monday at Har Homa, Bibi said, "The choice is symbolic: the Likud led by me, that will continue to stand firmly for (Israel's) vital interests, compared with a left-wing government . . . ready to accept any dictate."

Herzog, like Obama, promises to repair ties with the Palestinian Islamists. It's difficult to tell if they are both simply naive, simply simple, or have other plans in mind that isn't being spoken. In Obama's case, I wouldn't doubt it.

But at the very least, the Obama administration should stay out of Israel's political affairs and stop trying to influence the outcome of this election. There is now a Senate probe exploring the OneVoice Movement and its relationship with V15 from Israel.

Senate Probe on OneVoice Movement's "Just Not Bibi"

A bipartisan U.S. Senate investigatory committee is looking into the OneVoice Movement in order to determine if they are involved in efforts to oust Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (Bibi) of Israel in the upcoming election this week.

OneVoice was given taxpayer-funded, non-profit status by the State Department making it illegal for its involvement in the political arena. According to a  source at FoxNews.com the organization had received $350,000 in State Department grants and had been headed by Marc Ginsberg, a Clinton administration diplomat, up until last November.

Since both sides of the aisle support the probe, it demonstrates how President Obama's stance on Israel, our closest ally in the Middle East, is being rebuked by Congress.

FoxNews.com reported on claims that the Obama administration had been meddling in the Israeli election on behalf of groups wanting to oust Bibi. The source revealed that a subsidiary of OneVoice is the Israeli-based Victory 15 (V15) campaign, which is seeking to "replace the government" of Israel and is guided by White House operatives.

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity said that "It's confirmed that there is a bipartisan Permanent Subcommittee inquiry into OneVoice's funding of V15." 

While anonymous sources tend to erode the credibility of their claims, this source has apparently been given credence by Fox News, which in my view, has more credibility than other mainstream media sources.

So once again we see how President Obama reacts when his ego is on the line. He makes no secret of his animosity for Bibi, but obviously does make it a secret when doing illegal maneuvers to oust him. 

Like Obama had suggested in the past, OneVoice also agrees that Israel should return to its 1967 borders as a negotiating starting point. For Israel, that would be suicidal. But OneVoice is not legally justified in targeting Bibi as our law which regulates tax-exempt status would threaten that status.

Spokesman for OneVoice Payton Knopf said on Saturday, "OneVoice is eager to cooperate with any inquiry. After a fair examination, we are confident no wrong doing will be found."

Unfortunately for Knopf and his ilk, an investigation by FoxNews.com revealed that in its 2014 Annual Report, OneVoice said that its Israel branch would be "embarking on a groundbreaking campaign around the Israeli elections." 

They appear to have bought their own rope.

Hopefully, the probe will find OneVoice is politically involved in rigging the outcome of Israel's election. No foreign country, even ours, should be allowed to influence the outcome of another government's elections. Israel should decide for itself who they want to govern them and liberals should stop treating the people of Israel the way they treat people here: governing as if they know what's best for us, whether we like it or not.

Perhaps the celebrities who are involved in OneVoice Movement, such as Brad Pitt, Danny DeVito and his wife, Rhea Perlman, will learn a lesson from this, but I doubt it. They may all be fine actors but, as Truman Capote said, "The better the actor, the more stupid he is."

Bibi Speaks, Bozos Stay Home

The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin (Bibi) Netanyahu spoke to the U.S. Congress today to make a case for our so-called President Obama to back off on nuclear talks with the terrorist State of Iran. The speech began at 11:07 to a thunderous applause. This was his third appearance before Congress, a feat only to be accomplished by Sir Winston Churchill.

Bibi started off by thanking our so-called Commander in Chief, and said that Mr. Obama has been a friend to Israel and has quietly helped his country in the past, mentioning the Iron Dome as one example. 

Of course, we all know what a great friend Barack Hussein Obama is to Israel, but hey, it's politics and Bibi is a master politician. He even acknowledged Harry Reid and wished him a speedy recovery from his exercising accident. Harry moaned his thanks.

Bibi warned our absentee "leader" about the "bad deal" that's in the works and said the deal doesn't pave a pathway to peace, but instead "paves Iran's path to the bomb," and added that it could result in a "potential nuclear nightmare." He claimed that we'd be better off with no deal than having a bad one and said the potential deal would make two major concessions which would threaten not merely Israel, but the entire region as it would allow Iran to build a nuclear weapons program.

The first concession would leave "a vast nuclear infrastructure" in place as it would not require the destruction of their current nuclear facilities. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported that "Iran refuses to come clean," (to use Bibi's words). At the present time, there are about 190 thousand centrifuges to enrich Uranium and it wouldn't take Iran very long to have weapons-grade material ready to go.

But the second concession is even worse. Assuming Iran doesn't go behind our back and honors the deal (you know how honorable they are when it comes to Big Satan and Little Satan) in ten years a "Sundown Clause " would kick in and restrictions would automatically expire. We would no longer have the authority to stop them from enriching Uranium. 

As Bibi pointed out, ten years is the "blink of an eye in the life of a nation," and it will have a devastating effect on our own children. 

He reminded Congress of Iran's long history of funding terror and threatening Israel, but with Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles, the threat extends around the globe.

Unlike Obama, who seems to be much less sophisticated than the Prime Minister, Netanyahu explained that the situation does not need to be an "all or nothing" situation. The alternative is not a war, he said, but is a "much better deal." He argued that the U.S. has the leverage to achieve that.

He laid out three strategies. (Strategy is a concept new to Mr. Obama and one can only hope his staff who watched for him took notes.)

1. Stop Iran's aggression against its neighbors in the Middle East.
2. Stop Iran from supporting terrorism around the world.
3. Stop Iran from annihilating Israel--the only Jewish State in the world.

A few dozen Democrats did not attend the speech. In fact, Susan-it-was-the-Video-Rice called Bibi's previous speech "destructive" to U.S.- Israeli ties. This ridiculous rhetoric has since been toned down. When the names of the absentee congressional members are learned, they will be published on this blog.

Of further note, Sen. Rand Paul did not stand when Bibi received standing ovations from both sides of the aisle, and in all, there were about 40 interruptions due to the applause.

Let's hope that our fearless leader will learn something from an actual fearless leader who served his country as a commando, not as a "chicken-shit" as the left had so ungraciously called him. Let's hope Obama understands Bibi's warning: "When it comes to Iran and ISIS, the enemy of your enemy--is your enemy." He urged us not to be "fooled" by Iran's recent opposition to ISIS because they are both "competing for the crown of militant Islam."

Obama seems to think the U.S. can team up with Iran to defeat ISIS. Either he's naive or has plans for our nation that he refuses to reveal to the American public.

But that's the difference between a Commander in Chief and a Community Organizer.
