Kim threatens missile launch TONIGHT while Trump visits SoKo

North Korea dictator Kim Jong Un wants to have another testosterone contest with President Trump and send a message by having the biggest ever missile launch tonight.

Trump will be in South Korea today as he tours Asia and meets with President Moon Jae-in. He will be in Seoul, just 35 miles from the DMZ with NoKo and 120 miles from Pyongyang.

Spies believe NoKo will be planning a massive missile launch as a warning to Trump, who will be in the closest physical proximity to the lard laden leader of the hermit nation. 

Missile movements have been detected across North Korea and U.S. and South Korean spy planes have been working diligently to sniff out what Kim is planning.

According to experts, a "battle-ready" launch will be NoKo's next step. Harry Kazianis, director of defense studies at the Center for the National Interest said, "they [the missiles] are going to go over Japan and drop it into the mid-Pacific."

On a happier note, the U.S. has North Korea surrounded by warships, bombers, missiles and 80,000 troops ready to kick butt.

Trump will have the world's biggest military war machine poised at the ready should things go south in the north. 

All three aircraft carrier battle groups of the 7th Fleet will be fully loaded with up to 90 warplanes and choppers. Alongside are their escorts of 14 missile-destroyers and submarines.

Earlier in the week, a squadron of a dozen F-35 fighter jets landed at their new base in Japan.

There are more than 100 bases are scattered across the islands with about 50,000 military personnel stationed there and another 30,000 stationed in South Korea.

If Pyongyang does something stupid, they will pay for it dearly.

NY Times now calls FGM a libido control technique

Now that The New York Times has lost all credibility among people with a brain who actually analyze both sides of the media, the "Gray Lady" has decided the term "female genital mutilation" is too heavy-handed and "culturally loaded." 

The Times worries about the culture that performs FGM on their girls also performs beheadings on critics of their barbarism.

An editor of the rag believes calling it by its proper term, widens the gap between the civilized world and "people who follow the rite" of cutting off the genitals of girls in order for them not to enjoy coitus.

Health and Science editor Celia Dugger (who likely has all of her female anatomy) came to the conclusion, after a trip to Africa in the 1990s that cutting off some or all of the external female genitalia of a female child should simply be referred to as "genital cutting."

Arrested for FGM in Michigan

FGM is practiced in Asia, Africa and the Middle East as well as some communities from countries where it's common. UNICEF estimates in 2016 that 200 million women living in 30 countries today have undergone the procedures. 

Almost 6,000 reported cases of FGM occurred in Britain from April 2015 to March 2016 according to the Health and Social Care Information Center.

Here in the U.S., an Islamic physician in Michigan was charged with doing Allah's work by performing female genital mutilation on a pair of 7-year-old girls.

Typically FGM is performed before the girl reaches the age of five. The procedures differ among countries, but it includes removal of the clitoral hood, the clitoral glans; removal of the inner and outer labia and the closure of the vulva, (known as infibulation, a small hole is left for the passage of urine and menstrual fluid). The vagina is opened for intercourse and further opened for childbirth.

The reason for the procedure: to control a woman's sexuality and ideas about modesty, beauty and purity. But the procedure is usually carried out by women who see it as a source of honor.

Health problems often follow in life after the cutting is done, which includes recurrent infections, difficulty urinating and passing menstrual flow, chronic pain, cysts, and an inability to get pregnant. There are also complications during childbirth and fatal bleeding can occur.

There are no known health benefits other than that of the mental status of men who are so insecure that they refuse to allow their wives to achieve orgasm--that's only for men to enjoy.

When a female's genitals are mutilated, what else can we call it?

Students at top University want to ban white philosophers

Were Plato, Socrates and Descartes caucasian? Probably, but I don't really care because it's irrelevant to what they've offered to mankind. 

Sure, Bertrand Russell was white--that's his photo above--but what does a person's race matter to non-racists who don't measure a person's worth by the amount of melanin in their skin?

But students at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London (aka: "The School of Lower Education") are demanding that "the majority of philosophers on [sic] our courses" need to be from Africa and Asia rather than being white, Western thinkers. They want Russell, Plato and Descartes, along with other white men, dropped from the course studies.

The snowflakes say that it's their strategy to "decolonize" the college, which they regard as a "white institution."

SOAS, a constituent college of the University of London (GO Crumpets!) is regarded as the world's leading institution for the study of Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

In a list of educational priorities titled: "Decolonising SOAS: Confronting The White Institution," the union's statement of "educational priorities" ironically states its aim to "Create an inclusive (LOL) learning and teaching environment by defining what these terms mean [that is, who to exclude in the inclusion] and address the white curriculum by undertaking a full scale audit of every course reading list."

They must have gotten this idea from the movie "Fahrenheit 451." 


These inclusive snowflakes go on to say that white philosophers should be studied only "if required", and then should only be taught from "a critical standpoint," because white people are so mean and stuff.

The move is being pushed by democracy and education (LOL) union officer Ali Habib, who is on SOAS's governing board of trustees and also wants to widen the scope of scholarships for refugees as an educational priority.

Some teachers want to ban homework

A growing number of elementary schools and individual teachers throughout the country have a solution to America's downward academic spiral: give the kids more free time by taking away their homework. When the school bell rings to end the day, it's time to play, have more family time, and get more sleep.

A report by Education by the Numbers ranks the United States below the top 25 countries in math and below the top 15 in reading. Some on the left may blame the rankings on our diverse population in poverty, but these numbers took that into account.

Our top students, those in the 90th percentile score an average of 600 in math. In Shanghai, the average student scores an average of 613.

Asia now dominates the top 10 spots in math, reading and science. Asian students get lots of homework. They are also taught to treat their teachers with the utmost respect. Politics doesn't enter the classroom.

Steven Geis, president of the National Elementary School Principals' Association said that parents say their kids' time is monopolized by homework. 

Teachers all over the US are revising their policies to be as effective as possible. At Orchard School in South Burlington, VT Geis has seen a serious spike in anxiety among students recently. They opted to ban homework this school year partially based on the book "The Homework Myth," by Alfie Kohn. He says that homework is all pain and no gain.

Kohn said that "homework might be the greatest extinguisher of curiosity ever invented."

I believe Asian parents and teachers would disagree. Harris Cooper, a professor at Duke University, who has studied the effects of homework for 30 years disagrees. 

Cooper believes all kids should do homework but the type of homework can differ depending upon their developmental level. 

It's kind of like giving your child a 'time out'-- you give him or her one minute for every year of their age, not a half-hour, unless it's your spouse. Homework needs to take age and development into consideration.

Cooper's research found that homework is a lot more effective for middle and high school students than the little urchins. "Homework is like medicine--if you take too little, it does nothing; if you take too much, it can kill you," Cooper told the AP.

He explained that homework teaches kids to learn outside the classroom, which then turns them into lifelong learners while improving independence and time management.

One problem, according to Cooper, is that the resistance to homework comes from the fact that teachers often assign too much and they need to strike a balance between encouraging students to learn outside of school and allow them to pursue other activities.

But in Asia, particularly India, there is an inordinate number of suicides over academic achievement. In 2013 alone, 2471 suicides were attributed to "failure in examination," mostly among people ages 16 - 18. 

So while Asian students may do great academically, they may be doing it at the expense of their mental health, at least to some degree. They may be pushed too hard by teachers and parents who may have exaggerated expectations.

Thus, homework and play needs to be balanced--because play is a young child's work and homework can teach an older child habits that will help them in later life.

Kohn make a decent point, but he's only partially correct.
