SCOTUS rules against Newsom's attack on religious observance during COVID

In a split decision Friday, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of banning restrictions on in-home religious gatherings. This overturns a lower court ruling that went along with Gov. Gavin Newsom's limiting of gatherings of religious observers from different homes.

So while the left continues to attempt destroying the Bill of Rights, SCOTUS upheld them . . . for now.

The unsigned ruling was 5 - 4 with Chief Justice RINO Justice John Roberts dissenting but did not sign the dissent statement because not only is he a horrible justice, he is also a coward.

Thus usual suspects going after the U.S. Constitution were Elena Kagan, Sonia Sotomayor and Stephen Breyer.

The decision spelled out that religious gatherings cannot be limited unless the government can prove they pose a greater danger than secular activities such as shopping, movie attendance, a BLM riot, or lesbian dance theory classes that remain open.

"Otherwise, precautions that suffice for other activities suffice for religious exercise too," the majority opinion said, adding that California "treats some comparable secular activities more favorably than at-home religious exercise, permitting hair salons, retail stores, personal care services, movie theaters, private suites at sporting events and concerts and indoor dining at restaurants to bring together more than three households at a time."

It's really a no-brainer but the left is trying to end the practice of mainstream religion and replace it with far-left political thought.

The majority opinion added that the state can’t "assume the worst when people go to worship but assume the best when people go to work," in a quote from a previous ruling.

Justice Elena Kagan, the godless leftist who ruled against easing restrictions along with Justices Stephen Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor and the useless, cowardly John Roberts, wrote in a dissenting opinion that the state has complied with the First Amendment because it also restricts secular at-home gatherings to three households.

California "has adopted a blanket restriction on at-home gatherings of all kinds, religious and secular alike," she wrote in the dissent joined by leftists Sotomayor and Breyer, with total disregard of one's right to worship.

"The law does not require that the State equally treat apples and watermelons," Kagan wrote, trying to avoid the oranges cliche. She said that in-home gatherings shouldn’t be compared to businesses, thus making the claim that a church is merely a business and not a house of worship.

The lawsuit had been brought by residents in Santa Clara County who hold in-home religious meetings and claimed the restrictions infringed on their constitutional rights, according to the former newspaper The New York Times.

A federal judge ruled against the suit, which was upheld by the Ninth Circuit in San Francisco, before being overturned by the Supreme Court.

POTUS set to sign revised travel ban order

President Trump is ready with the new travel ban executive order and is due to sign it today, according to Kellyanne Conway, the woman who shamefully put her feet up on a sofa and should be fired after her total disregard for decorum in the Oval Office.

The ban will temporarily halt entry of people fleeing their own hovels to come here for a better life paid for by other people. It will also ban a number of undercover terrorists who would cheerfully kill you, your spouse and children and your pets when you're not paying attention.

"Feet-on-the-couch" Conway said the new version of the order includes "six or seven" points that will clarify those areas previously poo-poohed by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, a leftist entity currently involved with trying to overthrow the President.

Chuck Schumer and his nostrils said that because Ms. Conway isn't certain about how many points President Trump will actually change, ("Is it six, or is it seven, Ms. Conway?") he said she should be fired.

Among other changes, the new order will exclude legal permanent residents and calls for Iraq to be removed from the list of terrorist countries that will be temporarily banned, until we know what the hell is going on.

The new order will also no longer indefinitely bar Syrian refugees and their terrorist interlopers.

One of the main reasons President Trump went from "Celebrity Apprentice" to "Celebrity POTUS" was his stance on national security. That included stronger U.S. borders with Mexico and "bombing the s*** out of ISIS" along with other terror groups that face Mecca when they pray five times a day.

When he took office in late January, President Trump signed executive orders that temporarily halted the U.S. refugee program and travel from seven Obama-selected countries whose governments were incapable of vetting potential terrorists. As it turns out, for some crazy reason, those seven countries are mainly Muslim.

Go figure.

So liberals such as Chuck Schumer, fought the executive order tooth and nostril. Identity politics temporarily won the day while possibly losing the future.

'The Ninth' has held up the orders since early February but Mr. Trump made it clear that he fully intends to fulfill his campaign promise.

Go figure.

"The vast majority of individuals convicted of terrorism and terrorism-related offenses since 9-11 came here from outside of our country," Mr. Trump said in his address to a joint session of Congress last week. (It was his most presidential speech thus far.)

"It is not compassionate," he continued, "but reckless to allow uncontrolled entry from places where proper vetting cannot occur. We cannot allow a beachhead of terrorism to form inside America. And we cannot allow our nation to become a sanctuary for extremists . . . That is why my administration has been working on improved vetting procedures, and we will shortly take new steps to keep our nation safe."

But the ban was blocked and critics argued it was put together in haste with parts lacking constitutional authority.

The critics apparently need a U.S. Constitution refresher course. It is definitely within the president's authority to do what he believes is necessary for national security.

The removal of Iraq from the list of nations follows pressure from the Pentagon and State Department. They pointed out Iraq's key role in fighting ISIS and the White House reconsidered the original decision.

The new ban will likely honor all existing visas and Syrian refugees will be treated like other refugees and be subjected to a 120-day suspension of the refugee program "until we know what the hell is going on."

The new order is expected to remove language that would give priority to religious minorities who are being slaughtered by ISIS and other terrorist groups because of their religious status.

"Just because Christians are the largest group targeted by Islamic extremism in the Middle East is no reason to give them priority. But if you do, we will take care of them in the refugee camps," said an unidentified woman in a full body burqa.

Interestingly, she sounded like a man.

So we will wait and see what happens with the new executive order. If it stops merely one terrorist and merely 154 rapists, then it will be worth it.

Unfortunately, you cannot prove a negative, so the effectiveness of the temporary ban will be minimized by the left.

President holds presser at White House, big league

President Trump held a presser at the White House and said that he has "inherited a mess, a mess," adding that jobs are leaving the country, "going to Mexica and other places," but assures the American people that he will take care of it.

As usual, he also attacked the media calling them "dishonest," but hopes that the relationship will change.

He said that he also inherited ISIS and it has "spread like cancer," and that it was another mess. He vows to rebuild the military and hopes we will never have to use it, but "our country will never have had the military, like the military we will have." He explained that the military equipment is old and "depleted."

Mr. Trump said that he is keeping his campaign promises to the American people even though some appear to be surprised.

He then spoke again about how he received 306 electoral votes and how it was the biggest electoral college win since Ronald Reagan.

He said that he will be in Melbourne, Florida on Saturday and "I heard the crowds will be massive, massive."

Regulations will be dealt with, he said. As he vowed, when any new regulation is put in place, two old regulations will be eliminated.

Overall, Mr. Trump trumpeted his accomplishments including law enforcement, jobs and the problems with illicit drugs. He also discussed how he is in the process of building the promised wall and how it's going to be "a great wall," and that the prices will come down. It will not be a "nonexistent" wall, or a wall that is "a joke."

He pointed out how the court system is not making it easy for his administration to keep the country safe against Islamic terrorism. He alluded to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and how their rulings have been overturned "in record numbers."

He plans to "drain the swamp" by imposing the 5-year lobbying ban and eliminate foreign lobbyists altogether.

He will eliminate the "bleeding of jobs away from out country" and said that jobs have already started to surge. Ford and Chrysler will be investing millions of dollars in the country.

In other words, nothing new was discussed except for the fact that he will be issuing a new executive order regarding the immigration ban.

Then the press questioned the president.

Regarding Michael Flynn, Trump said he asked for his resignation and he respectfully gave it. He called the reporting about it was "fake news."

DoJ asks federal appeals court to restore ban on 7 countries

The Department of Justice got it in before the 6 p.m. deadline asking a federal appeals court to restore President Trump's ban on travelers from 7 terrorist-spawning countries. This is the latest barrage in a legal battle which could end up being decided by the Supreme Court.

The filing was with the liberal-leaning Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and it came three days after bow tie wearing liberal U.S. District Court Judge James Robart's order to basically ban he ban. The DoJ calling Robart's order "vastly overbroad," as if that were a real word, and said the president's executive order was "a lawful exercise of the President's authority over the entry of aliens into the United States and the admission of refugees."

The appeals court didn't immediately reinstate Trump's order and attorneys for Washington and Minnesota, both states who are challenging it, argued that any resumption of the order would "unleash chaos again," separating families and stranding university students [and eventually ending civilization as we know it].

Oral arguments were set for Tuesday afternoon [when Bill Clinton heard the first word, he wanted to be part of the action] and whatever the appeals court decides, either side can then ask the Supreme Court to step in.

With the death of Justice Scalia and the Supreme Court 4 to 4 regarding liberals to conservatives, it may prove difficult to overturn a lower court order because if they split, the lower court gets the call.

The truth of the matter is that Robart's ruling was a political one, not an impartial legal ruling. The guy stands behind Black Lives Matter over the police. Hopefully Trump's administration will win out because the security of the country really is tenuous considering that ISIS made it clear of their intentions to infiltrate the immigration/refugee population with their terrorists.
