Treasure Sec'y Yellin avoids anwering whether Biden Treasury Dept. asked banks to search private transactions

Big Brother is watching you, especially watching who you support politically and to which institutions you donate.

When she was asked if the Treasury Department pressured banks and other financial institutions to spy on legal purchases for signs of "extremism" our illustrious Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen did a head fake and ducked the question, Fox News reported in not so many words. This was to be in part of an investigation into the January 6, 2021 events.

The banks were asked to filter legal purchases with terms such as "MAGA," "Trump," "Cabela's," "Bass Pro Shops," and "Dick's Sporting Goods." They were also warned that the sale of "religious texts" could indicate "extremism."

Holy fishing atheists, Batman!

Jim Jordan (R-OH) the House Judiciary Committee Chair stated in a letter that after January 6, the Treasury Department’s Office of Stakeholder Integration and Engagement in the Strategic Operations of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN, aka Big Brother), sent banks outlines “typologies” of “various persons of interest” as well as “suggested search terms and Merchant Category Codes for identifying transactions on behalf of federal law enforcement.”

“According to this analysis, FinCEN warned financial institutions of ‘extremism’ indicators that include ‘transportation charges, such as bus tickets, rental cars, or plane tickets, for travel areas with no apparent purpose,’ or ‘the purchase of books (including religious texts) and subscriptions to other media containing extremist views,’” Jordan wrote to the former director of FinCEN. “In other words, FinCEN used large financial institutions to comb through the private transactions of their customers for suspicious charges on the basis of protected political and religious expression.”

Rep. Ann Wagner (R-MO) on Tuesday stated, “Increasingly, we are hearing the federal government is suggesting banks search private financial transactions using highly partisan political terms or check to see if customers made purchases that could be associated with legal sales of firearms or even religious texts.”

Wagner asked Yellen, “Has Treasury — including FinCEN or federal banking agencies like the Fed, FDIC, OCC — instructed financial institutions to search Americans’ legal transactions in attempts to surveil their purchases?”

“Well, we received the letter from you, I believe, on this topic, and we intend to investigate and to respond,” Yellen dodged.

“Have you instructed banks and financial institutions to provide this information?” Wagner pressed.

“Well, FinCEN, our job is to work with financial institutions to make sure —” Yellen replied in her grandmotherly voice.

“Are they instructing financial institutions to search Americans’ legal transactions in attempts to surveil their purchases?” Wagner reiterated.

“I promise a thorough look into everything,” Yellen lied.

Janet Yellen does an 'Obama Deference Bow' to Communist China official

"If you would kindly turn around now, sir, I will be happy to kiss you on the cheeks"

Yet another U.S. government top official has shown China who's boss. Like former President Barack Obama, our U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has bowed down to a foreign adversary official in Beijing.

Yellen bowed multiple times in deference to her Chinese counterpart, Vice Premier He Lifeng while enthusiastically shaking his communist hand.

Fox News reported that Bradley Blakeman, a former G.W. Bush White House staffer, told the New York Post that the gesture was "unseemly."

"Never, ever, ever…an American official does not bow. It looks like she’s been summoned to the principal’s office, and that’s exactly the optics the Chinese love," Blakeman said.

This administration is an embarrassment and the world is either shaking their collective head, or laughing at us, or both.

Twitter users had something to say about the fool's behavior.

"Yellen’s flubs in China are not going to help the US stock market come Monday morning. Come home Janet!" "Taxifornia" author James V. Lacy wrote on Twitter.

During their meeting, He implied that the U.S. was an irrational actor towards China.

"We wish the US side would take a rational and practical attitude, meet with the Chinese side half-way, make joint efforts with China in maintaining the consensus reached between the two state leaders in their meeting in Bali, and put the positive remarks into actions, so as to stabilize and improve the China-US relations," he said.

"She did not realize bowing as an American official was a breach of protocol," author Max Murray wrote on Twitter. "They don’t reciprocate. He even backs away to give her more space to kowtow."

Yellen, in her Walmart greeter voice said: "[T]he United States will take targeted actions to protect our national security. While we may disagree on these actions, we should not allow that disagreement to lead to misunderstandings, particularly those stemming from the lack of communication, which can unnecessarily worsen our bilateral economic and financial relationship."

There is no excuse for bowing to an adversary. None. Her bowing was not a 'targeted action' to protect anything.

Peter Doocy gets Karine Jean-Pierre stuttering and stammering over POTUS's job on inflation

White House publicist whose qualifications include her being a black lesbian, Karine Jean-Pierre, wasn't able to answer a question posed to her by Fox News' Peter Doocy. The questions he asked Monday were about recent inflation numbers and what our so-called president was doing to assuage the burden on the American public.

He asked KJP why, if Biden actually believed that combatting inflation was his main domestic goal, why weren't the American people seeing any relief with inflation.

Doocy asked: "[I]f [Biden's] top domestic priority is inflation, why doesn't he have more to show for it?"

The Biden Press Secretary replied: “So, the president understands, and we’ve talked about this many times, that inflation is an issue … high cost … cost is an issue for the American people, and so he’s been very clear about making that his number one economic priority. And he has done the work,” she insisted.

She next claimed that the Inflation Reduction Act [strategically named because the only thing it reduces is the value of the American dollar] was “going to lower costs” for seniors across the country. She said that it will cap Medicare prescription costs and then went on to attack Republicans who see it for what it is: huge spending that has nothing to do with inflation. For example, almost half a billion dollars in the Inflation Reduction Act is going to be used to pay off student loans. The left is too thick to realize that doing this will increase the cost of college tuition dramatically.

Doocy pushed back and nailed her: “But who exactly thinks the president is doing a good job on inflation? Because we’ve got a poll that finds he receives his lowest job ratings on inflation, net negative 38 points.”

The incompetent KJP did not answer the question, as is her usual move.

“We understand that there are challenges that are in front of us here in this country, that is why the president has taken action to lower costs,” she argued, mentioning gas prices as an example despite the fact that gas prices have been on the rise again in recent days and that Biden on day one of his taking office stopped domestic oil drilling and prices have continued to steadily climb. He went into our strategic oil reserve to temporarily lower the cost of gasoline, but now had to try and get the Saudis to increase oil output just until the midterms in a few weeks, in order to help his Party succeed in the midterm elections.

In other words, Biden is guilty of attempted election tampering using the Saudis as the middleman.

Doocy then asked: "Have Biden's economic advisors told him the general consensus now is that the American Rescue Plan has contributed to inflation?"

Jean-Pierre responded: "Look, Sec. Yellen, who is incredibly well respected…has spoken to this…[His policies] are popular w/the American people."

Secretary Yellen is to economics as Jean-Pierre is to media: they both suck at their jobs,  but Biden outshines them both in that area.

Yellon changes the definition of recession to make Biden look less demented

When an immature child is losing the game, the child changes the rules. When a leftist is losing the argument, the leftist changes definitions.

Former Chair of the Federal Reserve and current U.S. Secretary of the Treasury, Janet Yellen, a flaming Democrat, claims that the U.S. is not in a recession [it is] but in a “period of transition in which growth is slowing.”

Yellen spoke with NBC host Chuck Todd this past weekend and said that  “growth is slowing” — even though output appears to be turning negative for a sustained period of time, which is not the same thing.

Her rather self-serving understatement comes ahead of the Bureau of Economic Analysis publishing an advanced estimate of second quarter Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth later this week — a reading that is expected to show that the economy shrank at a 1.6% annualized pace from April to June.

So by definition, if the economy shrinks over two quarters, this is known as a recession, and Yellen knows this factoid but would rather change the definition to make her boss look sentient.

Let's review: since the economy contracted at a 1.5% rate in the first quarter, the US may have experienced two quarters of negative growth, which meets the rule-of-thumb definition for a recession. If it doesn't shrink the predicted 1.6%, then that would be a minor miracle and Yellen would look like Nostradamus on Red Bull.

The genius admitted in June that she was "wrong" about the “path that inflation would take” but never learned from her error.

“This is not an economy that’s in recession,” the Bay Ridge, Brooklyn gal told Todd. “But we’re in a period of transition in which growth is slowing and that’s necessary and appropriate and we need to be growing at a steady and sustainable pace. So there is a slowdown and businesses can see that and that’s appropriate, given that people now have jobs and we have a strong labor market.”

The "slowdown" isn't the economy slowly going forward, it's the economy going backwards in reverse, like a student driver doing their first parking job.

Yellen also said that low joblessness is an indicator of strong economic performance. However, while unemployment is currently at 3.6%, clearly an improvement from the April 2020 level of 14.7%, labor participation hasn't recovered from pre-recession levels and thus we have worker shortages that increase expenses for businesses and thus, for consumers.

Yellen dismissed claims of a recession due to "solid" consumer spending. But the spending she calls "solid" is a reflection of higher prices for goods and services. Of course Americans are spending more--we have no choice.

As alleged President Biden’s approval rating continues to slowly circle the bowl, news of a recession would worsen Democrats’ chances in the upcoming midterm elections. To combat the recession, Democrats have stopped calling it a recession and hope the American people are stupid enough to buy that bridge to Brooklyn.

Biden will select Deb Haaland and other diverse people for his cabinet

President-elect Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr., plans to nominate a bunch of people with different levels of melanin, different genders along the 87 gender spectrum, different levels of victimhood status, and different countries of origin for his diverse socialist-oriented Cabinet.

For the position of the Department of the Interior, Biden selected Rep. Deb Haaland  (D-NM) a Native American [formerly known as American Indian] because that would help fulfill his quota of non-white, non-straight cabinet members. He is still shy of a Black one-legged Asian midget and a left-handed Latinx transgender lesbian woman.

Once these slots are filled, Biden will have the most diverse cabinet in the history of the planet.

If Haaland is confirmed, she will be the first Native American to serve in that position, but not the first Native American in an even higher political position. That honor goes to Charles Curtis, the Vice President under Republican President Herbert Hoover. Curtis served from 1929 to 1933, so when it comes to "firsts," Biden and the Democratic Party are lightyears behind.

Charles Curtis with not Elizabeth Warren

The Department of the Interior is home to the Bureau of Indian Affairs, a department whose name is an insult to actual Indians, but the cancel culture has yet to get to it as they are working their way through high schools and community colleges named after Americans less virtuous than these Marxist cancelers.

Haaland, 59, is an enrolled squaw of the Pueblo of Laguna Native American tribe and serves on the House Natural Resources Committee. She was one of the first two Native American squaws elected to the United States Congress, the other being Democratic Kansas Rep. Sharice Davids.

Biden has babbled to appoint a diverse Cabinet, noting on several occasions that he wants his administration to look like the United States. If it did, there would be at least 73 percent Caucasians. 13 percent Blacks, the remainder comprised of Latino, Asians and the kitchen sink.

Next you have the variegated religions, the largest being leftism, then Protestant, followed by Catholic, then Jewish, then Muslim, then pagan, then the kitchen sinkers.

His Cabinet selections thus far have included several historic appointments, including Alejandro Mayorkas, a Cuban American, as the first Latino head of the Department of Homeland Security; Janet Yellen as the first leftist woman to head the Treasury; and Pete Buttigieg for Transportation secretary, the second openly gay guy in an administration--the first is Rick Grenell, but the press doesn't count him because he's a Republican and the press is Democratic.

The selection was confirmed to USA TODAY by a source familiar with the decision who was not authorized to speak publicly.

Haaland told NPR that if she was nominated for the Interior role, it “would mean a lot to Indian country,” forgetting that the word "Indian" is offensive to the NFL, MLB and the cancel culture vultures.
