A man was arrested for threatening the lives of Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and his children in a foul-mouth phone message to Gaetz's office, according to reports.
Eugene Huelsman was arrested last week in the Los Angeles area for a call made in January to Gaetz's office, according to Politico, three days after the U.S. Capitol riot.
The indictment was handed down in May but was sealed pending Huelsman's arrest, according to Fox News.
The indictment refers to Heulsman's target only as M.G., but the congressman has since confirmed to the media that he was the target.
“Tell [M.G.] to watch his back, tell him to watch his children,” Huelsman said in the call, the indictment states, which was obtained by Politico. “I’m coming for him, he’s gonna f—king die … I’m gonna f—king kill him."
Gaetz had recently said on the House floor that federal investigators were not taking the threats against him and his children seriously and believed those statements may have been the catalyst for the arrest.

Huelsman allegedly continues with, “Watch your back, I’m coming for you. I’m gonna put a bullet in you and I’m gonna put a bullet in one of your f—king kids too,” allegedly sounding like a vulgar wicked witch of the west.

Huelsman, of Thousand Oaks, CA, was a longtime camera operator in TV and film. He worked with “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” according to Politico, and also worked for ABC and CNN, according to Fox.
It is possible that his work with Don LeMon and Chris Fredo Cuomo may have influenced his hate for Trump supporting Matt Gaetz, but there is no proof of that at this time.
Gaetz had recently said on the House floor that federal investigators were not taking the threats against him and his children seriously and believed those statements may have been the catalyst for the arrest.
“An indictment was issued in May, and has now been unsealed the week after my criticism,” Gaetz reportedly said. “If they if they took our security seriously, they would arrest all of the people who violate federal law and the threats to kill us, not just some of them … I think that the Department of Justice is biased against Republicans.”
Ya think?
