Sanders mum on claim Russians backed his presidency

Sen. Bernie Sanders (Socialist-VT) decided it was wise to stay mum on the Russian indictment situation and claims by the FBI that the Russians backed him in the 2016 presidential primaries against Hillary Clinton while trying to sink her campaign hopes [that she believed were her rights].

"It has been clear to everyone (except Donald Trump) that Russia [where he went on his honeymoon] was deeply involved in the 2016 elections and intends to be involved in the 2018 elections," Sanders said in a statement. "It is the American people who should be deciding the political future of our country, not Mr. Putin and the Russian oligarchs. It is absolutely imperative that the Mueller investigation be allowed to go forward without obstruction from the Trump administration or Congress."

That's like saying Sanders should not beat his wife nor kick babies. Nobody is stopping the investigation and Bernie is just trying to blow smoke.

But how long does the Mueller special counsel investigation need to go on?

I believe that while the FBI said that there was no evidence of collusion with the Trump campaign and the 13 Russians who were indicted for messing with the election process, that doesn't prove anything. That said, it appears more fruitful for the special counsel to look into the Clinton campaign, the FBI and the DNC in the matter of the Steele dossier on Trump.

Sanders urged that Mueller's special counsel be protected, and I agree with the statement, but don't see how it isn't being protected. Even Trump has said he supports Mueller.

Yet isn't it remarkable that the news of the 13 Russians involved in screwing around with the 2016 presidential campaigns came out a mere 40 minutes prior to our learning that the FBI knew about the Parkland, Florida shooter long before he went on the shooting rampage?

The FBI knew about what Russia was doing since 2014.

And we know that former President Obama tried (unsuccessfully) to undermine Israel's election against Benjamin Netanyahu, because Obama was, and is, anti-Israel and pro-Islam.

The Mueller indictment said that the efforts by the Russians included "operations primarily intended to communicate derogatory information about Hillary Clinton, to denigrate other candidates such as Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, and to support Bernie Sanders and then-candidate Donald Trump."

Hillary Clinton hasn't yet commented on the indictments but it's a good bet she's going to imply that this was why she lost, rather than looking in the mirror that she wiped with a cloth to clean it.
