Millionaire Sen. Bernie Sanders calls Elon Musk's wealth "immoral" in a tit-for-tat

Sanders and Musk

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) has never produced anything of public value, never created a job, never had more than his "one-trick-pony" socialist approach to his politics, and while he used to blast "millionaires and billionaires," he only attacks the latter group as he is now a millionaire himself.

Sanders is the epitome of envy; most socialists and communists are, but he wears his moral superiority proudly in his words. And like the good socialist that he is, he virtue signals by spending other people's tax money and hates people with more money than he has.

The ironic thing is, Sanders has often defended his millionaire status to the disappointment of many of his idealistic liberal arts majors who followed him.

This past weekend, Sanders got into a social media kerfuffle with SpaceX CEO and Tesla "Technoking"  Elon Musk, a person who is clearly smarter, more creative, and more of a visionary than Sanders, who, I remind you, has never created anything of value or provided even one job for another human being.

Okay, Sanders did write porn as a young man, I'll grant him that.

But Sanders cannot stand people like Musk and other successful people like Jeff Bezos, for example.

According to the envious Sanders, Musk's wealth is somehow a moral issue.

The old fart tweeted Thursday:
"We are in a moment in American history where two guys — Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos — own more wealth than the bottom 40% of people in this country. That level of greed and inequality is not only immoral. It is unsustainable."
And that's supposed to be a bad thing? They didn't steal it. They provide something that people are willing to pay for and that makes their lives better. What has Sanders done but complain?

Sanders' attack came one day after he and a handful of his fellow left-wing legislators introduced their "Tax Excessive CEO Pay Act," which, according to the senator's website, would hike "taxes on companies that pay their top executives at least 50 times more than the pay of a median worker."

Envy sucks, Sanders clucks.

In a piece for CleanTechnica, which frequently covers Musk, according to the New York Post, Zachary Shahan responded to Sanders' tweet, calling the remarks "ridiculous" and "idiotic."

The problem with Sanders is that he isn't very bright and knows nothing about economics, much like his colleague Rep. Alexandria Obviously-Comatose (D-NY) who scared away Amazon from her New York district and lost about 25,000 high paying (average $100,000) jobs for the city.

Shahan is exactly right about Sanders--he is an idiot and ridiculous.

Musk is rich because the companies he has founded have become large and successful and holds onto his stock from those companies. He also is not hoarding his money because he doesn't even have cash to hoard. He takes out loans based on his net worth when purchasing things. Just because he's wealthy and getting richer, doesn't make him greedy, like Sanders claims about everyone with more money than him.

Sanders, as is his wont, remained focused on the only thing he is able to focus on and once again went on the attack against Musk's wealth and the "obscene" American inequality that it allegedly represents.

You know what's obscene? Bernie's Brooklyn accent--I'm originally from Brooklyn and we don't all talk like him.

"Space travel is an exciting idea, but right now we need to focus on Earth and create a progressive tax system so that children don't go hungry, people are not homeless and all Americans have healthcare," Sanders wrote. "The level of inequality in America is obscene and a threat to our democracy."

Sure, if we listened to Sanders we wouldn't have any growth or exploration in the country. Sanders is a cancer to growth. And a progressive tax system wouldn't solve the hunger situation in the country--having two parents in the home and a change in our cultural attitudes would certainly help--throwing money at the problems didn't work in the past.

Charlie Schumer: great job numbers don't matter to families

Sen. Chuck "Nostrils" Schumer (D-NY) is lying through his nose when he said in a statement that the jobs numbers "may look good" [because they're stellar and are better than Obama ever had] but said that they "coexist" with GOP tax cuts that are increasing the deficit. [Democrats have never met a tax they didn't like.]

Funny how the deficit only matters to Democrats when Republicans increase it.

The Labor Department reported that employers added a quarter of a million jobs in October, over 30 percent higher than expected.

"The latest jobs numbers may look good but we must not forget they coexist with a huge deficit-ballooning GOP tax break that went mainly to the wealthy for which we will pay a price for down the road," Schumer honked. "When the average family sees their health care costs go up because of Republican actions, these numbers will mean little."

Especially for people who have been unemployed and now have a job, I guess, as unemployment held steady at a low 3.7 percent reached in September. It's the lowest unemployment since December 1969.

Yes, in spite of the fact that most households have an increase in income and a decrease in taxes, Schumer is unhappy with the way things are going. If it were up to him and his Democrat colleagues, there would be a tax air.

Perhaps that would happen in the form of a 'carbon tax' if the Democrats take over. It's happening in Canada.

Seattle progressives want to punish success

The immoral left
Progressives believe in equal outcome. Conservatives believe in equal opportunity.

Progressives believe if I have ten dollars in my wallet and they only have one dollar in theirs, I somehow screwed them out of their money. If a person is wealthy, progressives see him/her as evil.

But if a person starts off poor, which is a good person to a progressive because the person is somehow a victim of someone rich, but then this person works hard, earns a decent  amount of money and then becomes wealthy, at what point did this person become a 'bad person'?

The Seattle City Council unanimously approved an income tax on their wealth residents Monday--this will be legally challenged before you can say, "Where are your papers, comrade?"

The progressives (aka leftists) are calling for a 2.25 percent tax on total income above $250,000 for individuals and for married couples filing jointly above $500,000.

"Seattle should serve everyone, not just rich folks," Carissa Knipe told the council before the 9-0 vote, saying she makes over $170,000 per year. Lucky for her she isn't affected by the socialistic proposal.

She clearly doesn't understand that she has the absolute right to pay more tax than required, or give money to the less fortunate, as she wants others to do. "I would love to be taxed," the 24-year-old from Ballard lied. The crowd of socialist tax supporters applauded her, none of whom are likely to be directly shelling out any dough.

I'm not a lawyer but this seems unconstitutional. There's the sense of inequality in the eyes of the law. A sense of taxation without representation. A sense of highway robbery--the Robin Hood Syndrome.

The only "fair share" is an equal share--a percentage that everyone pays based on their earnings. What could be more fair than that? But socialists (aka Communists) believe the rich should pay a far greater percentage than they pay, if they pay at all.

They were the kids who took your toys in the sandbox.

Hopefully they will be defeated in court.

Americans Renounce Citizenship in Droves

According to Bloomberg News, Americans living abroad are renouncing their US citizenship in record numbers. In fact, there has been an 18% increase thus far in 2015, amounting to 1335 expatriations, the report claims.

The big reason for renouncing citizenship?

Laws requiring expanded bank reporting and new tax compliance requirements are making it difficult for Americans living abroad to accept the idea that they should pay Uncle Sam for the "no representation" they receive.

In 2014, there were 3415 Americans who gave up their American citizenship, and this year the country is on a record run to beat that figure.

At least the Obama administration can say they hold the record for the number of people giving up their American roots.

Somehow I believe it doesn't bother our POTUS in the least. After all, it leaves room for more illegal aliens to put down roots here, vote Democratic and run this country into a ditch.
