Sen. Chuck "Nostrils" Schumer (D-NY) is lying through his nose when he said in a statement that the jobs numbers "may look good" [because they're stellar and are better than Obama ever had] but said that they "coexist" with GOP tax cuts that are increasing the deficit. [Democrats have never met a tax they didn't like.]
Funny how the deficit only matters to Democrats when Republicans increase it.
The Labor Department reported that employers added a quarter of a million jobs in October, over 30 percent higher than expected.
"The latest jobs numbers may look good but we must not forget they coexist with a huge deficit-ballooning GOP tax break that went mainly to the wealthy for which we will pay a price for down the road," Schumer honked. "When the average family sees their health care costs go up because of Republican actions, these numbers will mean little."
Especially for people who have been unemployed and now have a job, I guess, as unemployment held steady at a low 3.7 percent reached in September. It's the lowest unemployment since December 1969.
Yes, in spite of the fact that most households have an increase in income and a decrease in taxes, Schumer is unhappy with the way things are going. If it were up to him and his Democrat colleagues, there would be a tax air.
Perhaps that would happen in the form of a 'carbon tax' if the Democrats take over. It's happening in Canada.
