Brennan tells Trump he doesn't "fully understand" Russia threat

CIA Director John Brennan, criticized and warned Donald Trump, saying that he doesn't have a "full understanding" of Russia's power and their threat to the world.

Brennan, who was sworn in on March 8, 2013 not on a Bible, but on the U.S. Constitution, had been rumored to be a secret Muslim. 

Those rumors are unsubstantiated but isn't my mentioning it similar to BuzzFeed mentioning the unsubstantiated rumor about Donald Trump's supposedly kinky sex acts? It's wrong in both cases.

But I digress.

Brennan told Fox News Sunday, "I don't think he [Trump] has a full understanding of Russian capabilities and the actions they are taking on the world." He further suggested that Trump lacks "full appreciation" of Russia's aggression or the reason why Obama imposed [impotent] sanctions on the Kremlin for screwing around with our election.

"Mr. Trump has to understand that absolving Russia is a road that he needs to be very, very careful about moving down," the soon-to-be ex-CIA Director said. His doubling down on "very" was a very Trump-like verbal move.

Trump has often suggested that we have better ties with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The President-elect has been highly suspect of our entire intelligence community since it concluded that Putin tried to influence the elections, in an apparent attempt to help Trump defeat screaming Hillary, which makes no strategic sense for the Russians since it was she who wanted a "reset" with them.

Brennan called Trump "outrageous" for his likening the U.S. intelligence community to Nazi Germany for presumably leaking the content of an opposition-research dossier on him.

"There is no interest in undermining the president-elect," Brennan said. "Our responsibility is to understand dangers on the world stage so (Trump and his Republican administration) have the intel we have so they can make best decisions."

He went on to say that Trump will face numerous challenges with terrorism, cybersecurity, North Korean and so on. 

"So many issues on Day One," Brennan said as he faced Mecca.

U.S. imposes sanctions on Russia for election hacking

Obama's surrogates announced sanctions against Russia's intelligence services and are kicking out dozens of intelligence operatives from the United States in response to what they claim are Russian efforts to influence the 2016 presidential election.

Lame duck president Obama sanctioned the GRU and FSB--two Russian intelligence agencies--and other entities and people associated with the GRU. The cybersecurity firm hired by the DNC to investigate the alleged hack, concluded the hacking came from the Fancy Bear group, thought to be an arm of the GRU, part of Russia's military intelligence agency.

The U.S. State Department has also declared 35 Russian intel operatives "persona non grata" and are giving them 72 hours to leave. We are also shutting down two Russian compounds in New York and Maryland.

Russian President Vladimir Putin's spokesman said in response that Moscow will consider retaliatory measures and Vladimir may kick Barack's butt "mano a mano."

Mr. Obama has since gone into hiding somewhere on the island of Kauai.

"We think that such steps by a U.S. administration that has three weeks left to work are aimed at two things: to further harm Russian-American ties, which are at a low point as it is, as well as, obviously, to deal a blow to the foreign policy plans of the incoming administration of the president-elect," Dmitry Peskov told Russian media.

The Treasury Secretary claimed that Evgeniy Mikhailovich Bogachev and Aleksey Alekseyevich Belan were involved in "malicious cyber-enabled activities." 

So called President Obama said in a statement: "These actions follow repeated private and public warnings that we have issued to the Russian government, and are a necessary and appropriate response to efforts to harm U.S. interests in violation of established international norms of behavior."

Apparently, the Obama administration knew about the Russian cyber attacks before the election but thought Clinton had the election in the bag so they kept quiet. If she had won and this had been uncovered, it would have likely been minimized by the Clinton team.

It's a good thing that something is being done about the Russian cyber attacks, but it took them long enough.

OPM Director Canned, a little too late

It only took 21 million plus people to have their records stolen by cyber scum to get U.S. personnel chief Katherine (Katy) Archuleta to hand in her resignation. Perhaps the left will soon praise her like they do Edward (Fast Eddie) Snowden.

Katy handed in her resignation to another incompetent, President Obama, on Friday morning and it is effective at the end of business today. Her replacement will be Beth Cobert, who has no nickname, which is probably a good thing.

Jason Chaffetz, Chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, said that "This is absolutely the right call. OPM needs a competent, technical savvy leader to manage the biggest cybersecurity crisis in this nation's history. The IG has been warning about security lapses at OPM for almost a decade. This should have been addressed much, much sooner but I appreciate the President doing what's best now."

Of course, the biggest cybersecurity crisis in the opinion of me and others is the Edward Snowden/Wikileaks scandal in which hundreds of thousands of classified documents were made public and have affected our nation's security against our enemies, excluding the left.

Now back to Archuleta. 

People had been calling for her firing had grown recently after government data records had been breached during her employment. But as recently as yesterday, she basically flipped off people who asked for her resignation, making it clear that she wasn't going anywhere. She assured the skeptics that her agency was dealing with the problem, while somewhere in a Chinese restaurant, people were laughing in their moo goo gai pan. 

This morning, she allegedly told Barry that it was best for her to step aside to allow new leadership to deal with the recent situation. Patriots from all walks of life pray that Obama does the same.

"What's that cologne
you're wearing, George?"

White House spokesliar, Josh Notso Earnest, bullcrapped that Katy submitted her resignation at her own volition, adding that it is "quite clear" to Barry that Katy had to go because new leadership at OPM is needed like Mohammad needed more wives.

Archuleta (her close friends call her "Archie") didn't mention the 21.5 million stolen government records, but only said that she believed that it was best to allow OPM to "move beyond the current challenges."

She failed to mention that those current challenges consist of the difficulties the agency endures with the incompetence it maintains. She praised the agency's staff, calling them "some of the most dedicated, capable and hardworking individuals in the federal government."

And if that statement is true, imagine what the rest of the federal government employees must be like.
