Jihadi Mamdani’s Definition of “Socialism” Is Actually State-Controlled Totalitarianism

NEW YORK — In a display of economic brilliance previously seen only in breadline queues and collapsing regimes, NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani sat down on Theo Von’s podcast this week to explain that socialism simply means the government generously handing you every single thing required to exist. Let's call it Big Brother, just for argument's sake.

According to the card-carrying Democratic Socialist and devout anti-Semite, the government shouldn’t just handle minor, trivial tasks like keeping violent criminals off the streets or picking up the trash. No, it needs to step in as a full-time parental unit to ensure no citizen is ever forced to experience the raw, unfettered horror of paying for their own life.

“Socialism, to me, it means that you will have whatever you need to live a dignified life and that it is the government’s job to deliver on that,” comrade Mamdani told Von.

Taking a play out of the Putin handbook, Mamdani went on to explain that voting every few years is far too much freedom for people to hold without state guidance in between elections.

“It’s a belief that you shouldn’t live in a place where all you can do is pick your own leaders,” added the DSA member, outlining a revolutionary framework where bureaucratic oversight replaces basic personal responsibility. “You should also be able to have that power in the rest of your life, right? People talk about it as the extension of democracy from the ballot box to the rest of your life.”

Lest anyone worry that "dignity" means something vague—like the ability to earn a living without the state taking half your paycheck—the Mayor graciously clarified the precise items City Hall plans to nationalize.

“When people say dignity, I want to be very clear, we’re talking about the things that allow you to take a breath: housing, childcare, public transit,” he said. “No one should be priced out of these things. These are non-negotiables; you need these to live.” And after all, who wants to be priced out of being able to purchase a Lamborghini, right?

Critics were quick to note that letting a city government manage every aspect of daily life sounds remarkably like a system history already tried, tested, and buried along with the Berlin Wall. “But communism has never been done right,” the useful idiots will say, except that it has been done right and that's why it has always failed.

City Council Minority Leader David Carr (R-Staten Island) pointed out that Mamdani’s vision of government-supplied happiness sounds a bit too familiar.

“I can’t imagine even his most ardent supporters would want to live in a state where the government determines everything you need to live a dignified life, whatever that is,” said Carr.

Other local leaders wondered how a municipality that routinely fails to patch potholes or manage basic public services expects to efficiently manage the entire human existence.

AI Generated but reality soon

“The Mayor says it’s government’s job to deliver ‘whatever you need.’ I have a different view of government’s job: keep us safe, educate our kids, pick up the garbage, maintain the roads and make New York affordable enough that people can build the lives they want for themselves,” said Councilman Frank Morono, a Staten Island Republican. “Given how hard City Hall sometimes finds it to deliver the basics, I’m not quite ready to put it in charge of delivering ‘whatever you need.’”

Meanwhile, national lawmakers noted that turning the economy over to local politicians usually works out about as well as asking the DMV to run a five-star restaurant.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) chimed in on social media to remind everyone of the dictionary definition of the Mayor's ideology.

“Socialism is an economic and political system where the … government owns and controls the major means of production,” Paul noted. “So, the same entity running the Post Office in the US, would be responsible for everything. Anyone who supports this does not have sound judgement.”

At the time of this posting, Mamdani was reportedly finalizing a new city directive that would require the NYPD to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on sight, right after City Hall finishes figuring out how to budget for free housing, free childcare, and state-subsidized breathing.

Mamdani, who reminds one of post-digestive waste circling the bowl, much like his political career should be doing, thinks he's running the country when he never has, nor ever will, be capable of running so much as a lemonade stand.
