Trump Jr. got it wrong, DeSantis got it conservative right

Some people on the right have decided to support Bud Light and end the boycott that began when the VP of Marketing, Alissa Heinerscheid decided to use a guy in drag to promote the beer while flipping off the "fratty" and "out of touch" folks who made up the customers who bought that beer.

Even Donald Trump Jr. wants the boycott to end because Anheuser-Busch gives the GOP more in campaign financing than they give the Democrats. As I've said before, if you are going to boycott a company, boycott one that depends on you as a customer, where it counts. Woke corporations don't really care about your business as much as Bud Light does, which is why they lost $5 billion in one week of the boycott.

And now, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has gotten it right.

While RINOs and the meek on the right have lost their nerve and now want us to support Anheuser-Busch, DeSantis unequivocally supports conservative efforts to boycott them.

So don't allow any GOPer to sway your thinking. Make it count and change beers if you're a Bud Light trans-beer drinker. At least give it up until things change, such as an honest apology from the Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth rather than his wishy-washy "let's go America" balderdash. And maybe wait until they fire Heinerscheid because she sucks at marketing and sucks at decency.

And remember that it is Ron DeSantis who seems to hold honest conservative values, at least from what I see. I'm not saying he's better than Trump, just more conservative. And no, Jews don't hate DeSantis--just the ones who showed up to protest, and they probably weren't even Jewish. If they are, they're likely Democrats in disguise.

DeSantis has guts and took a different path than the RINOs and Don Jr.

On two separate occasions, he made clear that he’s not wavering against these woke corporations, whether it’s Disney or Anheuser-Busch.

"Why would you want to drink Bud Light?" DeSantis said.  "I mean like, honestly, that’s like them rubbing our faces in it, and it’s like, these companies that do this, if they never have any response, they’re just going to keep doing it. So if you as a consumer are like, “yeah, they’re basically,” and it’s such a fraud what they’re doing with that, “like yeah, they’re doing that, but I’m going to keep drinking it anyway,” well they’re just gonna keep doing it.

"So I think we have power as consumers to make our voice heard, and not on every company because sometimes conservatives consumers aren’t gonna make a dent in some companies. This one is one, if you don’t have conservative beer drinkers, you’re gonna feel that.

"And so, I think it’s a righteous, uh, I think it’s a righteous thing. You know, some of these controversies, they come up, and people can kind of just say, “Oh well, it’s kind of a one-off, yeah it was stupid to do.” But it’s part of a larger thing where corporate America is trying to change our country. Trying to change policy, trying to change culture, and you know, I’d rather be governed by “we the people” than woke companies. So I think pushback is in order across the board, including with Bud Light."

When asked whether he would ever drink Bud Light again, he said that he did not believe he would.

He didn't call the Heinerscheid "Horseface" or say anything bad about the CEO of Anheuser-Busch. His answers are thoughtful, even when he doesn't use a teleprompter, which he didn't.

I've said it before but I'll say it again, if Trump gets the nomination, I would vote for him in a heartbeat. But I like DeSantis from what I have seen of him and what he's done for Florida.

POTUS full frontal attack tweeting

President Trump went on a free-associative Twitter rant Saturday morning. He attacked Hillary Clinton, the New York Times, and good old Hillary Clinton as well as others he likes to attack.

Trump first tweeted about the Washington Post story where anonymous sources alleged Attorney General Jeff Sessions spoke to a Russian ambassador during the 2016 presidential campaign about policy issues and other things.

My source, who goes by the pseudonym Vinny Boombots, said that the Post's source is Hillary Clinton and that she admitted to him that she made the whole thing up because she's angry over her loss to a television personality.

Trump tweeted:
"A new INTELLIGENCE LEAK from the Amazon Washington Post, this time against A.G. Jeff Sessions. These illegal leaks, like Comey's, must stop!"
The Post wrote, based on unnamed current and former U.S. officials, that Sessions, a then-Trump adviser, had "substantive" discussions about policy and other issues with Servey Kislyak, the Russian Ambassador.

Mr. Boombots explained that Hillary was the unnamed current and former U.S. official(s) but said she would deny it if asked.

Follow-up Trump tweet:
"So many people are asking why isn't the A.G. or Special Council looking at the many Hillary Clinton or Comey crimes. 33,000 e-mails deleted?"
Trump was apparently upset over the myriad investigations into whether his associates colluded with Russia to win the presidential election over Clinton rather than looking into Clinton's obvious relationship with Russia when she was Secretary of State and her husband got paid $500,000 for a speech he gave to Russia's Renaissance Bank, which was to be sanctioned for human-rights abuses, but was spared sanctioning after Bill's speech.

Hmm.

So Trump tweeted about that:
"What about all of the Clinton ties to Russia, including Podesta Company, Uranium deal, Russian Reset, big dollar speeches etc."
Like a good dad, Trump sent out a defense tweet for Donald Jr. who's in the middle of the Russia meddling-collusion debacle after he and other Trump associates met with a Russian lawyer in June 2016. She promised Jr. some dirt on Hillary.

Trump tweeted:
"My son Donald openly gave his e-mails to the media & authorities whereas Crooked Hillary Clinton deleted (& acid washed) her 33,000 e-mails!"
On Friday, Trump named Anthony Scaramucci as his new White House communications director and demoted Sean Spicer from the post. Spicer honorably resigned.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders has now officially become the new White House Press Secretary. Her job is one of the toughest in the Trump administration.

Another Trump tweet attacked The New York Times and its "sick agenda" regarding national security and that it "foiled" a U.S. strike on ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi:
"The Failing New York Times foiled U.S. attempt to kill the single most wanted terrorist, Al-Baghdadi. Their sick agenda over National Security."
The specific attack Trump was referring to and why he attacked The Times was unclear.

Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis said on Friday that he still believes Baghdadi is still alive. Knowing Mattis, I wouldn't rule it out.

Justice Department spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores responded to The Washington Post story Friday regarding the Sessions piece and said, "Obviously I cannot comment on the reliability of what anonymous sources describe in a wholly uncorroborated intelligence intercept that the Washington Post has not seen and that has not been provided to me.

Vinny Boombots
"But the Attorney General stands by his testimony from just last month before the Senate Intelligence Committee when he specifically addressed this and said that he 'never met with or had any conversations with any Russians or any foreign officials concerning any type of interference with any campaign or election.'"

Vinny Boombots agrees with Ms. Flores adding that "The only person I know of who would spread vicious rumors about Jeff Sessions would be Eric Holder or maybe Kamala Harris. Holder onnaconna he's jealous Sessions has his job, and  Kamala Harris  onnaconna she wants to make Trump's administration look bad when she plans to run for president in 2020.

"Six on one hand . . . half a dozen on the other. You know what I'm sayin'?"

Hillary Clinton as dirty as the rest of them

Swamp creatures
What fair-minded people are discovering from the mega-media coverage of Donald Trump Jr.'s dealings with Russians who are alleged to have conned him into thinking they had dirt on Hillary Clinton during the presidential election campaigns of 2016 is that all of politics is a swamp.  All of it and nobody is free from the muck and mire.

If Trump Jr. just told the truth immediately, showed what he had in emails, shrugged his shoulders and walked away, the problem would have walked with him.

But the Russian lawyer who met with Trump Jr. during last year's campaign, and who opposed sanctions on targeted Russian human-rights abusers, also met with Hillary Clinton.

And after Bill Clinton gave a speech in Moscow--which netted the Clinton's $500,000--Hillary suddenly opposed sanctions on Russian human-rights abusers.

Coincidence or behavior of swamp creatures?

Fortunately Hillary has the MSM on her side and her campaign was able to successfully play the link of the two incidents down.

The Trump administration, on the other hand, are doing all they can to draw attention to Bill's speech and the Clinton's ties to Russia in a Kindergarten bid to say, "Look, they did it too." A case of two wrongs making a right or something.

Of course, Trump's correct--the Clinton's are no less guilty of 'colluding' with the Russians--probably more so--but the main thing isn't that Trump Jr. did no wrong, but that the press continues to cover for the left and treat the right unfairly.

"If you want to talk about having relationships with Russia, I'd look no further than the Clintons," Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said at last week's briefing. "Bill Clinton was paid half a million dollars to give a speech to a Russian bank, personally thanked by President Putin."

Let's be clear: when Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State, she and her 'foundation' took tons of foreign money and it bought influence.

That's illegal.

Bill's speech is back biting him on the butt now that the company that cut the check was allegedly tied to the scandal that pushed the Global Magnitsky Act, a bill imposing sanctions on the aforementioned human- rights abusers, which became law in 2012 with bipartisan support.

The Magnitsky Act is the same law Natalia Veselnitskaya was lobbying against during her Trump Jr. meeting last year. In 2010, it would have put her and the Clintons on the same side of the law.

Just before Bill's 2010 speech in Moscow, Congress was pushing Hillary's State Department to refuse visas to Russian officials implicated under the policy.

Hillary denied Congress' request.

Obama was also initially opposed to the Magnitsky Act because comrade Obama was seeking to "reset" with Russia and didn't want to deepen the divide between us and Russia.

A few weeks later, Bill Clinton gave the speech to Renaissance Bank, which was one of the parties whose executives would have been banned from the U.S. under the law.

In 2015, a memo from Clinton's presidential campaign team (later published by WikiLeaks) showed that her campaign was able to stop the presses.

"With the help of the research team, we killed a Bloomberg story trying to link HRC's opposition to the Magnitsky bill a $500,000 speech that WJC gave in Moscow," Jessie Lehrich on the Rapid Response Communications team for Hillary For America, bragged on May 21, 2015.

The Global Magnitsky Act was named for a tax attorney, Sergei Magnitsky, 36, who died in Russian government custody after he accused the government and organized crime of stealing hundreds of millions of dollars from a foreign company, Hermitage Capital Management.

Magnitsky was hired by foreign investor and Hermitage owner William Browder. He tracked what was discovered to be hundreds of millions of dollars in tax fraud and reported it to the wrong people: the Russian authorities. Instead of pressing charges against the alleged offender, Magnitsky was jailed.

After he died in 2009, Browder said Magnitsky proved Renaissance officials were among those orchestrating the scheme.

These were the same folks who paid Bill Clinton half a million dollars and on whom Hillary reversed the sanction decision.

So yes, Donald Trump Jr. should have come clean immediately, but Hillary and Bill Clinton were never clean a day in their lives.

Drain the swamp.

Trump slams media and blames Lynch for Russian lawyer situation

It isn't every day that President Trump slams the media--who am I kidding?

Trump lashed out at the media and Obama administration Thursday regarding barrage of criticism for Donald Trump Jr. is getting for the 2016 meeting he took with a Russian lawyer who he was led to believe had damaging information on Hillary Clinton.

Trump addressed this issue at a joint news conference he and French President Emmanuel Macron shared. The first question Trump received asked about this to which he said that the media are making "a very big deal over something that really a lot of people would do."

He then spoke about Obama's AG Loretta "Tarmac" Lynch, saying he'd "heard" Lynch was the one to approve the Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya's visa.

This reference was over reports that Lynch signed off on granting Veselnitskaya a special "parole" to be in the United States, since she had previously been denied a visa.

However, it isn't clear whether she had permission to be int the US at the time of the June 2016 meeting.

"Somebody said that her visa or her passport to come into the country was approved by Attorney General Lynch, now maybe that's wrong, I just heard that a little while ago . . . [that] she was here because of Lynch."

Sometimes President Trump makes it sound like he gets his information while doing clothes at the Laundromat.

Like a good father, Trump Sr. defended Trump Jr. against criticism.

"My son is a wonderful young man. He took a meeting with a Russian lawyer, not a government lawyer but a Russian lawyer," Trump said in that extremely very, very redundant way he has.

"From a practical standpoint, most people would have taken that meeting; it's called opposition research or research into your opponent," he said.

The Republican chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee Chuck Grassley said that Trump Jr. will be called to testify amid Russian meddling investigations over last year's election.

He said he wants him to testify "pretty soon," and it might be as early as next week. He said that he would be willing to issue a subpoena if he refused to appear, but that isn't likely.
