Holdout juror on Clancy case drops legal bombshell

Holdout Juror’s Lawyer Files Bar Complaint After Defense Attorney Treats “Following The Evidence” Like A Capital Offense

The attorney for the lone holdout juror in Lindsay Clancy’s mistrial has accused defense lawyer Kevin Reddington of unconstitutional overreach and announced plans to file a bar complaint, because apparently the Sixth Amendment is now optional if the verdict isn’t cute enough.

Reddington has spent the days since the September 4 mistrial attacking Michael Péguy Desronvil, the juror who declined to declare Clancy not guilty by reason of insanity. Reddington branded him an “obstructionist juror” who refused to follow the law. Desronvil has declined to recant.

Edward Paltzik, Desronvil’s attorney, said Reddington created a “nightmarish precedent” by accusing his client of breaking the law based mostly on what other jurors who wanted a different outcome claimed happened in the jury room. Desronvil rejects that account. He has said he has no doubts about Clancy’s guilt based on the evidence and simply refused to fold under pressure from fellow jurors.

“If the new normal is that jurors are going to face brutal reprisals for disagreeing with a defense attorney, you can kiss the Sixth Amendment goodbye,” Paltzik wrote in a post on X.

“That is the most outrageous thing I have ever heard in almost 20 years of practicing law. It is categorically false,” he said about the claim that Desronvil broke the law.

“You can’t investigate a juror because the juror followed the law and the evidence and came to a different conclusion than the one that you wanted, Kevin Reddington,” Paltzik added.

Reddington has asked Judge William Sullivan for permission to inspect Desronvil’s phone records, courthouse surveillance footage, juror questionnaire, probation records, and any entries in the state’s domestic violence registry. Because nothing says “I respect the jury system” like a post-trial fishing expedition into a citizen who voted the wrong way.

Paltzik, who has nearly 20 years of experience as a defense lawyer, said he would never publicly criticize a juror or file a post-trial motion seeking to investigate one. “Kevin Reddington was doing his job but the problem is it’s off the rails now,” Paltzik said.

“Kevin Reddington wanted this for his legacy,” he added. “He wanted so desperately to win this trial.”

Legal analyst and law professor Jonathan Turley has also called the request for phone records, surveillance footage, and criminal history “highly unusual,” warning that publicly attacking a juror and then trying to investigate him could send a “chilling” message to anyone asked to serve in a high-profile case.

Sources first told TMZ on September 24 that Desronvil and his legal team planned to seek discipline against Reddington, arguing he should be “suspended, disciplined, or even disbarred” for targeting the juror after the mistrial. Paltzik confirmed the planned complaint on Monday.

Clancy has admitted killing her three children, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months, in January 2023 by strangling them with exercise bands after sending her husband, Patrick, out on two errands. She pleaded not guilty and claimed postpartum psychosis made her not criminally responsible. One juror looked at the evidence, declined to play along, and is now the one being treated like the defendant.

Boeing whistleblower gets "Epsteined" as 787 suffers another mishap

"Sorry, I just woke up-I was dreaming that my Pez dispenser spoke to me"

John Barnett, the former Boeing Quality Manager, was found dead in a parking lot in Charleston, SC on Saturday. The cause of death was immediately determined to be a "self-inflicted gunshot wound," police claim. So the troubled aircraft manufacturer has yet another gossip-worthy situation going.

Barnett, 62, gave "stark warnings" about the problems he was seeing in on two Boeing passenger jet models. In one case, he discovered substandard parts were being used and in another, Dawn dishwashing soap was being used as a lubricant. We all know from tv commercials that Dawn is great on birds caught in oil spills, but it isn't the best thing to use as a lubricant--specific lubricants are the best thing to use for the lubricating jobs intended for them.

Barnett had also claimed Boeing executives were hiding the company's safety issues rather than addressing them, possibly because it cost money to fix the problems.

"My concerns are with the 737 and 787 because those programs have really embraced the theory that quality is overhead and non-value-added," Barnett told TMZ after the infamous Jan. 5 incident when a door plug blew off an Alaska Air 737 MAX 9 that depressurized the cabin and exposed passengers to open air and great views shortly after takeoff.


Not long after the Alaska Airline event, Chilean airline LATAM flight from Australia to New Zealand experienced a "technical event" on Monday in mid-flight that "caused a strong movement," resulting in about 50 people being injured causing mucho cursing in Spanish. The passenger jet was a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, one of the two models (the other is the troubled 737 MAX) described in Barnett's whistleblower complaint.

The Federal Aviation Administration said two weeks ago that it "will mandate a fix for a new 737 MAX design problem discovered by Boeing that, although it’s a remote possibility, could theoretically disable the jet’s engine anti-ice system." 

According to the same report, "Airlines have reported a separate issue with a similar system on Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner that has caused what the FAA calls 'relatively minor' damage to the engine inlets on some two dozen of these wide-body jets in service."

Boeing has been given three years to address the problem on the MAX and 30 months to get the 787 fixed.

So did John Barnett off himself or was it a professional Epstein-esque job? Maybe we'll never know, but somehow, somewhere, someone is going to blame Trump.

Smollett tries victim ploy: 'untreated drug problem'

It looks as if Jussie Smollett is going for an intersectional defense in his "hate hoax" debacle which tried to convince people he was a victim of a homophobic and racial hate attack by 2 white guys wearing MAGA hats.  Now he's claiming to have an untreated drug problem, like a huge percent of Hollywood actors.

He allegedly told police on Thursday when he turned himself in, about his drug problem, and is apparently hoping that the story works to keep him out of prison.

TMZ reports that Smollett, a black, gay, mediocre actor with a hate in his heart for President Trump and apparently white men [he was willing to testify against innocent white men if they were apprehended in the area of the "crime"] told police that "on several occasions," had obtained drugs from one of his buddies he used to "attack" him.

He is hoping the drug ploy will help to get his sentence reduced, unless, of course, it is discovered that he sent himself the letter with crushed Tylenol to make it appear to be a deadly substance. That would be a federal crime and more serious in nature than the current felony charge.

"Jussie told police, during his arrest, he has a drug problem ... one for which he's never been treated," TMZ reported updating their report on Smollett's charges Thursday. "That could become relevant later in the case because, as we reported, cops say Jussie bought ecstasy from Abel. IF he were convicted, a drug issue could be a mitigating factor that gets his sentenced reduced." TMZ also notes that Smollett said "answered 'no' to alcohol or mental health problems."

The case was made rather easy for police because Smollett allegedly paid the two brothers he hired to "attack" him with a personal check. It isn't clear if he wrote in the notation section of the check: "For homophobic/racist attack," but he might as well have, the idiot.

Smollett cut back from 'Empire'

Singer, actor, purveyor of false stories, Jussie Smollett [aka Smellit] will reportedly be getting his appearances on Fox's "Empire" cut back amid his probable false police report that he was attacked by two white men in Chicago. They called him a f****t and n****r and punches were allegedly thrown, and a noose put around his neck and bleach thrown on him, but Jussie fought back because even though he's gay, he is tough, he said.

Oh, and they also shouted "This is MAGA country," which it certainly is not. Any city that would elect Rahm Emmanuel as its mayor is the enemy of MAGA.

The alleged attack supposedly occurred, he claims, in the tony Streeterville neighborhood on Chicago's north side. No video captured the alleged so-called attack, in spite of the over 30,000 cameras in the city, and after purchasing a Subway sandwich, being attacked and going home, he still had the sandwich intact, the noose still around his neck and his phone in his pocket.

He told police that he was on the phone with his manager when the alleged, hard-to-believe attack supposedly took place. But when Chicago police asked to see the phone, Smollett denied them access.

The leftist media had a field day with the fake story and blamed President Trump and the negative atmosphere he created in this country with his racism, homophobia, sexism, antidisestablismentarianism, and all the bad isms one can imagine.

But then the story unraveled and the two men who allegedly jumped him turned out to be two black Nigerian brothers who later said Smollett paid them to carry out the fake attack.

CBS affiliate WBBM-TV has now reported that sources informed them that Chicago police are seeking to interview the actor again after receiving information the attack was staged. Smollett is believed to have paid two men $3,500 to carry out the fake assault, which is a damn good price for the hire.

The Nigerian men — Olabinjo Osundairo and Abimbola Osundairo — left for Nigeria the day after the attack and have since returned to the U.S.

According to TMZ, in light of these revelations, production sources for the Fox show “Empire” have cut back the nine scenes Smollett was supposed to appear in to only four.

He was slated to appear in a “big musical number” in the second to the last episode, which has been nixed.

“As for the remaining 4 scenes … we’re told he’s no longer the focus. The scene features an ensemble, meaning he’s flanked by a number of cast members,” TMZ reported.

As “Empire” writers scramble to rewrite the season’s closing scripts, Smollett faces the prospect of being charged with filing a false police report. If he is found guilty, and since James Comey is not on the case, there's a chance this will happen, he can go to prison for up to 3 years. However, probation is also an option for the judge in this case.

Thus far, Smollett has not agreed to a second interview by police, according to The Wrap.

Donald Trump Jr. tweeted about the incident:

 “No problem, its not like he faked a vicious hate crime and rehearsed it thoroughly to try to create a national narrative of hate against Trump supporters… Or that he went on TV to bolster his whole hoax to create attention for himself as a victim or anything like that… Right?”

Several of the Democratic 2020 hopefuls, Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, Kirsten Gillibrand as well as Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Rep. Alexandria Obviously Communist, and the race-baiting Al Sharptongue, jumped on the story with both feet before the facts were known.

But the funniest thing was Sharptongue saying that if Smollett lied, he should pay the price for it. What? Like he paid for lying regarding the Tawana Brawley case?

Kareem Hunt released by KC Chiefs after video shows him pushing and kicking a woman

Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt not only sits for the National Anthem, he shoves and kicks women as a newly released surveillance video shows. It happened in an Ohio hotel this past February.

The video was obtained by TMZ and shows Hunt arguing with a 19-year-old woman at the Metropolitan Hotel in Cleveland, Ohio. The incident took place February 10th at around 03:20.

You can see him approach the teenage woman and say something then he shoved her. An unidentified man steps in and the woman hits Hunt in the face. Then some of Hunt's friends get involved as he appears to go ballistic and he shoves the woman who falls and grabs her head.

Hunt then comes over to her as she is crouched down on the floor and he kicks her because he is so brave.

Cops were called but no arrests were made that morning because the cops didn't know if a crime had been committed. After all, maybe she had it coming to her, they may have thought.

The teenage woman is reportedly a Kent State student and told law enforcement that the argument started when she refused to hook up [aka:have sexual relations] with one of Hunt's friends.

A female friend of Hunt claimed the woman was acting belligerently and struck her.

A report from ESPN said that following the release of the video, Hunt was excused from practice at the facility pending further action.

Chiefs owner Clark Hunt said in August that he believed the running back “learned some lessons” prior to this season's start. Specifically, check for cameras before kicking teenage women who you've pushed to the floor.

"Kareem is a young man, second year in the league, obviously had a very big year on the field last year," he said in speaking of the February incident. "I'm sure he learned some lessons this off-season and hopefully won't be in those kind of situations in the future."

Hunt has since been released from the team in spite of the Chiefs owner trying to cover for him by using his youth and how much he has learned from his behavior.

Megan Amram jokes about Las Vegas shooter

Apparently not so funny Megan Amram, an alleged comedy writer, responded to a TMZ story that the Las Vegas gunman, Stephen Paddock doesn't fit the typical mass shooter [because at age 64, he is much older than the profile indicates]. She tweeted: "White man? Sure does."

Her insensitive and racist philogynist tweet to her 759,000 followers received a series of responses mocking white males. 

How brave and edgy. It's the new way to gain points in her echo chamber.

The "comedienne" got over a thousand retweets and over five thousand favs in the first three hours after her tweet went out. And then she followed up her tweet with a pair of jokes related to the massacre in Las Vegas where, to date, the death toll stands at 59 but may rise. An additional 527 people are hospitalized as this is being written.

Amram wrote: "If only there was a way to have known he was going to use that rifle for assault," the followed with, "Trump, please ban Americans from traveling to the United States. They are far too dangerous to let in."

Very clever. Not very funny.

Amram's Twitter feed is loaded with anti Trump tweets. She actually has a tweet from July that's rather funny: "There should be a dating app for people who have been fired from trump's [sic] administration."

But overall, Amram is as funny as a box of dead kittens.

Drew Carey's kid says he helped start a fire at protest

Comedian Drew Carey's 11-year-old son, Connor Carey, is reportedly the young anarchist in a Fox News video of an inauguration rally where other anarchists were seen burning signs.

Connor happily told Fox News' Griff Jenkins that he "kind of started this fire" because "I felt it and because I'm saying 'screw our president.'"

It was TMZ who reported the child in the video was Drew Carey's son, but Carey's representative could not immediately verify that the little anarchist in the video was indeed the 58-year-old Carey's son. However, a photo on Instagram 'kind of erases most doubt.'

Drew Carey meanwhile emceed the Veterans Inaugural Ball: Salute to Heroes. It was hosted by The American Legion on Inauguration Day.

Drew Carey apparently wasn't aware of his kid's participation in the protest that night--so the question is "Why?" The child is eleven. Who was watching him?

According to TMZ, Carey told them he was "just having dinner with my kid down the street" and the tyke wanted to see the protest.

So did Carey let the child go unaccompanied? Now that's a stupid parenting decision. 

Supposedly, Connor "regretted his words" after speaking with his parents, who claimed to be upset with the kid's behavior.
