Democrat's office raided by FBI: are we surprised?

L. Louise Lucas

The FBI just raided the office of a powerful Virginia Democratic lawmaker who's tight with Gov. Abigail Spanberger as part of a federal corruption and illegal marijuana sale investigation, Fox News has learned.

Longtime state Sen. L. Louise Lucas, a major power broker in Virginia politics who hit the campaign trail stumping for Spanberger in 2025, is now squarely in the crosshairs of a serious FBI corruption probe, according to federal law enforcement sources.

Agents rolled in with court-authorized criminal search warrants at Lucas' office in Portsmouth, Virginia, on Wednesday. The FBI also hit a nearby cannabis dispensary co-owned by Lucas with a full SWAT-team search. At least three people were detained during the festivities.

The state senator showed up at her office while the raids were still going down. She told Fox News she had zero clue what the FBI agents were even doing there.

The search warrants were signed off by a federal judge who found probable cause to green-light the whole operation.

This mess piles even more political heat on Spanberger, whose polling numbers are already circling the drain as critics hammer her for shoving a far-left agenda down the throat of what used to be a nice purple state.

This is hardly the first political firestorm Lucas has wandered into.

In addition to her roles as Virginia Senate president pro tempore and chair of the Finance & Appropriations Committee, Lucas is also co-owner of a cannabis business. That shop has already drawn heat after reports surfaced that some products were allegedly mislabeled or blew past legal THC limits, which tends to create those pesky regulatory headaches under Virginia law.

Lucas has been a loud cheerleader for marijuana legalization in Virginia for years, co-sponsoring the 2021 law that legalized possession and pushing hard for a regulated retail market ever since. She's also famous for her bombastic social media game, loaded with crude language and memes.

During the recent heated fight over Virginia's redistricting map, Lucas went after critics on X, ripping President Donald Trump and mocking Republicans with a GIF of herself dancing to Famous Dex's "Hoes Mad."

She declared that Democrats will "fight fire with fire" in the redistricting battle and added, "You can bet your ass that Democrats are ready for this fight."

After word of the raids got out, Virginia state Delegate Wren Williams, a Republican and vocal opponent of the Spanberger-backed redistricting plan, told Fox News Digital that "Rumors of corruption and pay-to-play politics have long surrounded the Democratic Party’s infrastructure in Virginia. However, no one has been willing to do anything to hold these power brokers accountable."

FBI agents conducted a raid Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at the office of Virginia Sen. L. Louise Lucas in Portsmouth, Virginia, according to federal law enforcement sources. (Fox News)He stressed that "everyone is innocent until proven guilty, but it takes a federal judge to issue search warrants to the FBI.

"When the chief of police and prosecutor tried to hold Senator Lucas accountable for her actions last time, each were removed from office shortly thereafter," he asserted, adding, "Sunlight is the best cure for corruption. I’m sure the Commonwealth of Virginia will be very interested to see what comes of this investigation."

Virginia Dem. charged with multiple felonies for allegedly involved destroying statues

State Senator Louise Lucas (D-Portsmouth) was allegedly involved in taking part in the toppling and destruction of a Confederate statue in Portsmouth, VA at the beginning of summer. She is facing two felony charges along with a bunch of cohorts from the NAACP, an organization that used to be non-violent.

“Portsmouth Police Chief Angela Greene said the charges are the result of a weeks-long investigation into the June 10 incident, which left a local man critically injured after the statue fell on him during a protest,”  according to the
Richmond Times-Dispatch. “Lucas and six others, including NAACP leaders and a local school board member, were charged with conspiring to commit a felony, and felony injury to a public monument in excess of $1,000," Greene said Monday.

The specific incident that Lucas was charge likely is the one that occurred on June 10th, where demonstrators knocked down a Confederate monument that fell on the head of another demonstrator and seriously injured him.

The demonstrators also went all terrorist on four additional statues which the Daily Press reported. “Demonstrators beheaded the four Confederate statues before pulling one down using a tow rope Wednesday night at the Portsmouth Confederate monument as police watched. A protester was injured as the statue fell, hitting him on the head. Louie Gibbs, vice president of the Portsmouth NAACP, said the man, who was in his 30s, lost consciousness. The man’s head was cut open, and he was transported to the hospital.”

The injured man was merely trying to be part of the virtue signaling mob and is expected to make a full recovery.

According to WAVY TV 10, the following virtue signalers who are guilty of having negative thoughts about folks of races different from theirs are also facing "charges of conspiracy to commit a felony and injury to a monument in excess of $1,000":
State Sen. L Louise Lucas
James Boyd, Portsmouth NAACP representative
Louie Gibbs, Portsmouth NAACP representative
LaKesha Hicks, Portsmouth NAACP representative
LaKeesha S. “Klu” Atkinson, Portsmouth School Board member
Kimberly Wimbish
Dana Worthington
Amira Bethea
What are the chances of their being two LaKeeshas [although spelled slightly different] allegedly committing the same crime?

The local news station also reported the following list of individuals that are facing “a felony charge of injury to a monument in excess of $1,000”:
Brenda Spry, public defender
Alexandra Stephens, public defender
Meredith Cramer, public defender
Brandon Woodard
Hanah Renae Rivera
Raymond J Brothers
And what's with lawyers risking their licenses to practice just to virtue signal that they are better than everyone who has a different political view? So there are 10 women and four brave men with the courage to attack inanimate objects to feel as if they had done something to better society by wiping out lessons from the past.

What a bunch of woke losers.

Good guy with a gun stops drunken NYE destruction spree

Portsmouth, NH -- A good guy with a gun is being praised by police for taking the initiative to get involved and stop a drunk driver who tried to flee after crashing into a number of cars and a restaurant just before the clock struck midnight on New Year's Eve.

Aaron Marconi, 51, was arrested by Portsmouth Police on Monday night after he drove his car into several other vehicles, a Dunkin Donuts sign, and a sandwich shop. You don't even pretend to drive into a Donuts sign when police are in the area.

He allegedly attempted to flee the scene but was stopped by a bystander whose name was not released by police. The bystander blocked Marconi's car with his own but then the bystander was threatened by Marconi, he drew his weapon and told him to stop.

"The first Samaritan attempted to prevent the suspect from driving away by blocking the suspect's vehicle with his own car," Portsmouth police told the Portsmouth Patch in a statement. "The suspect threatened to kill that man and then attempted to back up. The second Good Samaritan seeing this aggressive action and hearing this threat, warned the first man and instructed him to retreat. The second man then challenged the suspect with his firearm while issuing commands to stop."

The bystander held Marconi at gun point until police arrived and took him into custody. Portsmouth Police officer Timothy McCain said he believed the bystander likely saved lives by intervening.

"The actions that [the bystander] took, I believe stopped further destruction and probably prevented a tragedy," McCain told WBZ-TV.

Cops told WBZ-TV they found heroin in Marconi's car and he is being charged with a variety of crimes including driving while intoxicated, criminal threatening, conduct after an accident, and felony possession of a narcotic drug.

Happy New Year, moron.

Well here we are in the start of a new year and the world still hasn't come to an end with President Trump in the White House, in spite of what the media and the left [but I repeat myself] would have you believe.

I wish you health and happiness. I hope that you will  follow Brain Flushings throughout the year and feel free to comment on any issues of concern. Please subscribe and check out the sponsors on these pages too.
