Pro-Life activist Mark Houck wins 7-figure settlement against Biden DOJ

A pro-life activist has received a seven-figure settlement nearly four years after an early morning FBI raid on his home generated outrage and concern about the federal government’s treatment of pro-life advocates outside abortion clinics.

In a statement published Thursday, the pro-life advocacy group 40 Days for Life Institute of Law & Justice announced that pro-life activist Mark Houck won a settlement of over $1 million nearly four years after the early morning FBI raid on his home generated outrage. Houck, a devout Catholic father of seven, was charged with violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act by the Biden administration in 2022.

The FACE Act subjects anyone who “intentionally injures, intimidates, or interferes with or attempts to injure, intimidate or interfere with any person” who provides or assists in the provision of abortions to federal charges. The charges against Houck stemmed from an incident that took place as Houck and his son prayed outside an abortion clinic in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in October 2021.

While the U.S. Department of Justice alleged that Houck “twice assaulted a man because he was a volunteer reproductive health care clinic escort,” requiring the escort to receive “medical attention,” a fundraiser set up to pay for Houck’s legal expenses told a different story: “Last year, Mark and his son were praying in front of the PP at 12th and Locust. When one of the escorts began harassing Mark’s son they walked down the street away from the entrance to the building. When one of the escorts began harassing Mark’s son they walked down the street away from the entrance to the building. The escort followed them, and when he continued yelling at Mark’s son, Mark pushed him away.”

While a jury acquitted Houck in early 2023, Houck and his wife filed a lawsuit later that year alleging that the DOJ engaged in malicious and retaliatory prosecution, abuse of process, false arrest and assault.

In a video message last Thursday, 40 Days for Life CEO Shawn Carney described the settlement as “a bigger victory for the pro-life movement at large” as well as “a huge victory for free speech” and “a huge victory for all Americans who want our right to speak our minds peacefully in a law-abiding way without fear of our own government.”

Carney maintained that the charges against Houck came as the pro-life movement and 40 Days for Life, in particular, received “so much persecution from the DOJ under Biden” and expressed gratitude that “President Trump has corrected that.”

“It has been absolutely night and day. Under Biden, at one point, we were getting one to two inquiries from the FBI per week at different 40 Days for Life locations,” he added.

News of Houck’s settlement comes as MS NOW has reported that the DOJ is scheduled to release a report concluding that the Biden administration “shattered the public’s trust by weaponizing the FACE Act to advance a pro-abortion agenda.”

In an interview with The Christian Post, pro-life activists Terrisa Bukovinac and Randall Terry identified DOJ prosecutor Sanjay Patel as a key figure in the targeting of pro-life activists under the Biden administration.

Terry named Patel as the DOJ official responsible for orchestrating the raid on Houck’s home. The Houck raid sparked calls from Bukovinac, Terry and others to impeach then-U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland and repeal the FACE Act. Terry has insisted, both four years ago and today, that the law “broke the back” of the pro-life movement by subjecting those who engage in abortion clinic blockades to federal charges rather than local trespass charges. “It was always designed to isolate people of faith who wanted to defend the unborn,” Terry told CP in an earlier interview.

Biden's DOJ: no jail time for transgender who vandalized Catholic church writing 'F--k Catholics'

Biden's DOJ has just handed out a sweetheart plea deal to a trans-vandal who proudly admitted to defacing a Catholic church with disgusting graffiti, destroying a statue of the Virgin Mary, assaulting a church worker and resisting arrest. But due to the fact that this individual, Maeve Nota, 31, fits the victimhood category of being transgender, she-he-it or whatever, gets to waltz away from jail time.

The scumcrumpet vandalized the  St. Louise Catholic Church in Bellevue, Washington following the Roe v. Wade overturning last June. It served as she-he-it's excuse, it appears, because even the idea of resisting arrest and attacking a church worker should be sufficient charges for jail time. But this is the Biden administration, obviously run by some unelected covert operative whose hand is up our so called dummy President's backside, making his mouth move.

But had Nota been pro-life and protested outside an abortion factory, Nota would have the book thrown at she-he-it as Biden's handlers have done in the past as in the case of a Christian named Mark Houck.

"It is very clear that the Biden Justice Department has politicized and weaponized the FACE Act to go after pro-life Christians praying outside of abortion clinics like Mark Houck while turning a blind eye to violent felons terrorizing and badly damaging Catholic churches like Maeve Nota," Mike Davis, founder of the Article III Project, told Fox News Digital.

"The Biden Justice Department tried to put Houck in prison for 11 years for defending his son while recommending no jail time for Nota after this deranged trans terrorist badly damaged a Catholic church, fought with the police, assaulted a church employee, and scared the hell out of a little old lady praying," Davis said.

She-he-it smashed two glass doors with rocks, spray-painted the outside walls of the church with sayings such as "rot in your fake hell," "kid groomers," and "woman haters." There was more from the moron, but you get the picture.

A church staff member was spray-painted across their face while attempting to chase Nota away.

When officers located Nota, police said he used a backpack full of spray paint cans to smash the police vehicle before turning himself in.

Nota, whose gender remains a mystery, appeared drunk during the arrest and was said to be angry about the U.S. Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe. v. Wade the week before the incident, investigators previously told KOMO News.

Following the crime, Police Capt. Darryl McKinney told FOX13 Seattle that the $10,000 in damages fall under a hate crime statute, which of course it should.

According to filings from early March, Biden's Justice Department hit she-he-it with destruction of religious property, a misdemeanor that can carry up to one year in prison and $100,000 in fines.

A week later, however, a previously unreported plea agreement between the Justice Department, Nota, and his attorney shows that they will recommend no jail time and three years of probation at the time of his sentencing on June 2. The LGBTQ+1LSMFT~9/?46 community is also working on a design for the trophy they want to privately award Nota, which rumor has it, will be presented by Vice President Kamala Hahahaharris.

Anyone who votes for this demented political party deserves what they get, good and hard.

Pro-Life activist not guilty: Joe Biden, not sentient

The woman in the pussy hat forgot that the baby inside also has rights

PHILADELPHIA --  The Justice Department was delivered a blow in a case that attracted national attention in which pro-life activist, Mark Houck, was found "not guilty" on Monday.

Houck's attorney described the case as an "obscene show of force" when his client was arrested after an incident brought political accusation and blame before the trial even began.

The jury found Houck not guilty on both federal charges having to do with an October 13, 2021 altercation between him and an abortion mill volunteer. The DOJ pursued charges against Houck, alleging that he "forcefully shoved" Bruce Love, a Planned Parenthood volunteer, in violation of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act.

Houck contended that Love [whose name is obviously an oxymoron] had been "harassing" his son that was the catalyst to the altercation.

The Thomas More Society, which represented Houck, celebrated the jury's decision, in which no love was lost on Planned Parenthood [another oxymoron when you think about it].

"Mark and his family are now free of the cloud that the Biden administration threw upon them," Executive Vice President & Head of Litigation Peter Breen said after the verdict. "We took on Goliath — the full might of the United States government — and won. The jury saw through and rejected the prosecution's discriminatory case, which was harassment from day one."

"This is a win for Mark and the entire pro-life movement. The Biden Department of Justice's intimidation against pro-life people and people of faith has been put in its place," he added.

The case attracted national attention during Houck's 2022 arrest, which then prompted accusations of political prosecution, particularly due to the DOJ deciding to press charges one full year after the incident.

As the Department of Justice [sometimes an oxymoron] is already facing allegations of political weaponization, this has come as another blow to the agency as congressional inquiries into its handling of politically sensitive investigations is underway.

Josh Hawley demands Merrick Garland testify under oath for FBI raid pro-life activist

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) is livid that U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland presided over the FBI "guns-out" raid of pro-life activist Mark Houck, a Catholic and father of seven.

Hawley wants Garland to testify under oath about this incident in which about 20 armed FBI agents in 15 vehicles raided Houck's home.

Houck heads a nonprofit group that provides counseling at abortion clinics in Philadelphia. Last year he and his 12-year-old son were involved in an incident at a Planned Parenthood abortion mill when an aggressive Planned Parenthood escort began harassing the boy using vulgar language and basically being a puss-puddle. Mark Houck was protecting his son and pushed the escort to the ground where he ended up unhurt. The scumcrumpet tried to press charges but the case was dismissed by a federal court in Philadelphia.

Enter Sen. Josh Hawley.

“If the shocking reports about the FBI arresting a man Friday in rural Pennsylvania are true, then you have a lot to answer for,” Hawley said in the letter to Garland after Houck's arrest.

“These reports state that federal authorities obtained a warrant under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act to arrest Mark Houck for allegedly committing a single count of simple assault by pushing a man near an abortion clinic,” he continued. “Houck contends that he only did so to defend his child against the man, and local authorities have already dismissed a separate criminal complaint against Houck for the conduct.”

Yes, the case was dismissed so why did the FBI raid Houck's home?

“Not only did your office turn a local dispute into a national case, but the FBI reportedly executed the search warrant in as extreme a manner as one can image,” Hawley asserted.

“As Houck’s wife said, when they saw 20 or more agents arrest their father at gunpoint, ‘the kids were all just screaming,’” Hawley said. “To say the least, using this kind of force to make an arrest for a single charge of simple assault is unprecedented.”

Hawley positioned the arrest against the DOJ seemingly sleeping on the dozens of attacks against pro-life pregnancy centers and churches by abortion extremists following the overturning of Roe v. Wade.

“I want to know from Merrick Garland directly why Biden’s DOJ is arresting Catholic protestors like terrorists – complete with SWAT-style tactics – while letting actual terrorist acts like fire-bombings go unpunished,” he said.

“The corruption & abuse of law is out of control,” Hawley stated. “Come January, the new Republican Congress must launch a thorough, public investigation of DOJ & the FBI – from their targeting of parents to religious protestors to political opponents.”

“What Biden is doing is wrong,” the senator slammed. “And dangerous.”

“I believe you must testify, under oath, before the Senate Judiciary Committee about your selective use and apparent political weaponization of the FACE Act,” Hawley wrote to Garland.

The senator demanded answers “within 10 days” to three questions concerning Houck’s arrest, including why it took 20-25 armed feds to execute an arrest for an alleged simple assault.

Is the Biden administration now in the business of weaponizing the DOJ and its agencies against conservatives? It sure as hell seems like it.

The midterm elections are about a month and a half away and it's looking hopeful the GOP will take control of the House and hopefully the Senate. If this comes to pass, they better do something about this administration and its abuse of power.
