The celebrity presidential debate for 2020

Former talk show host and entrepreneur Oprah Winfrey told the audience at a Bloomberg TV show that Donald Trump has inspired her to run for the presidency. 

Although she's aware that she lacks the necessary experience to run this country, she figures why not give it a shot. If Trump can run the nation, maybe she could too. And because she is known for giving stuff away on her former shows, leftists will love her.

"Oh gee, I don't have the experience," the entertainer said. "I don't know enough. And now I'm thinking, 'Oh? Oh!"

Nobody knows how serious Oprah is regarding the presidency, but the Democrats are definitely looking toward the 2020 Presidential election and the candidates they're seriously thinking about are in the worlds of sports and entertainment.

So here we have Oprah going up against Kanye West, Meryl Streep and Robert DeNiro for the Democratic Party nomination. 

There aren't as many sports figures who are interested in running on the Democratic ticket because sports is too similar to conservative ideals which require hard work and is entirely merit-based.

Imagine the start of the debate. Chris Matthews is the moderator and is currently suffering from restless leg syndrome. 

Matthews: I can't believe four years have passed since Donald Trump became our dictator. The first question is to Kanye. 
Mr. West, in your view, what do you see as our biggest threat over the last four years?

West: Thanks for the question, mutha******. It's the lack of available b*****s, man. There was a time when a dude could score just by walking into a bar, now you gotta show them you gotta job. Know what I'm sayin'?

Matthews: I hear you, man. Oprah, same question, go.

Winfrey: The biggest problem, Chris, is obvious. It's obesity and the lack of free cars to this audience watching this debate. So I'm giving each and every one of you A FREE CAR!

(Applause.)

Matthews: Meryl . . . what do you think?

Streep: I think Karl Lagerfeld still owes me an apology and that Donald Trump has no business being president of this great country. His instinct to humiliate by someone in the public platform, by someone powerful, it filters down into everybody's life, because it kinda gives permission for other people to do the same thing. Disrespect invites disrespect, violence incites violence. And when the powerful use their position to bully others, we all lose.

Matthews: Those words are very familiar, Meryl. Where did I hear them before?

Streep: I stated something similar to that in the 2017 Golden Globes, of which I won 30, and I stand by those words today. Vote for me--I'm a winner. I won 3 Academy Awards and have been nominated 17 additional times. I'm a winner and I will make America the greatest again.

Matthews: And what about you, Robert? What do you think of the job that President Trump is doing after almost four years as president?

De Niro: Trump is totally nuts. God help us . . . he talks how he'd like to punch people in the face? Well, I still like to punch him in the face. Yeah.

Matthews: So you're saying you don't think he's doing a good job even though the Dow is above 25 thousand?

De Niro: No. He's doing a lousy job. I can't even get a good Mexican gardener to trim my f***ing hedges now that he built that f*****g wall and hired all those border agents.

West: I say we bust a cap in the muth******!

(Audience goes wild with cheers.)

And Oprah wins the debate because of the free stuff.

Let's not have a peep out of Streep, please

In a skillfully acted emotion, Meryl Streep continued to criticize President Trump in a speech, but insists that under no circumstances will she relocate to another country as many supporters of the president would be pleased if she did. 

While taking aim at Mr. Trump, she complained about becoming a target herself at the Golden Globe Narcissistic Awards last month.

Streep emoted at a fundraiser for the Human Rights Campaign, a national LGBT group and addressed President Trump's tweet after her Globes rant in which he called Streep "overrated."

Streep said, "Yes, I am the most overrated, over-decorated and currently, I am the most over-berated actress . . . of my generation." Her narcissism oozed from her pores as she tried to sound snarky with "the most" line, making it sound as if it was all true but Trump just doesn't want to admit how great she really is, and if you don't believe her, just ask.

Then she said she wished she could simply stay at home and "load the dishwasher" rather than take a podium to speak out. [Please, the woman glows in front of an audience. She probably has someone to load the dishwasher for her.]

She added that "the weight of all these honors" she received in her fabulous career compelled her to speak out. She had no choice what with all the fame and wonderful attention and love bestowed upon her. 

Her public deserves to hear her erudition.

She really got into the act: "It's terrifying to put the target on your forehead. And it sets you up for all sorts of attacks and armies of brown shirts and bots and worse, and the only way you can do it is if you feel you have to. You have to! You don't have an option. You have to."

Very, very much you have to, I can tell you that. Unbelievable!

We love the movies. We love the drama, and the people who pretend to be living it, for our entertainment.

But we give those who are so good at pretending--enough to convince us they are who they pretend to be when they act the part--a validity they don't necessarily deserve.

Alan Alda was no doctor in Korea or anywhere else, and Meryl Streep is no "Iron Lady." She isn't even a conservative like the real Iron Lady and is an actress.

We love to be entertained, but let's not lose sight of who the real heroes are in this world, and not mistake them for those who play their roles in the movies.

Kerry Washington says only 25% country voted forT rump

Kerry Washington, aka Olivia Pope from "Scandal," believes she knows something about politics. 

"I think," she lied, "we have to be careful by saying that the results of this election represent a majority of the sentiment of this country because half of the country didn't vote and . . . the popular vote went to Hillary [Clinton]." She spouted this at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour on Tuesday.

"So we are talking about less than a quarter of the country voted for our next President. I also think it's important to say that inclusivity is not about just people of color and women. Inclusivity is about everybody having a seat at the table," she cliched. 

It's obvious that Washington believes that the football team with the most yards, not the most points, should be awarded the win. Football and presidential elections don't work that way.

If indeed she is correct and only twenty-five percent of the American voters actually got out and voted, then obviously, Clinton didn't have enough sway, enough influence, to get leftists off their butt-cheeks and go to the voting booths. 

Trump's voters did.

In fact, the only reason Clinton won the popular vote was due to California--they took her numbers over the top. But the popular vote does not represent the folks in the majority of states in the United States. In this case, it represented California and much of the east coast. Middle America, the "flyover country," believe that Hillary Clinton is not fit to be president, and that Donald Trump was a better choice.

Speaking about the inappropriate speech made by Meryl Streep at the Golden Globe Narcissism Award Ceremony, Washington said that she applauded Streep for her anti-Trump speech.

"It was very special; I felt like it was such a brave beautiful speech because it was so graceful. There wasn't any name calling but there was a lot of truth telling and I thought it was a beautiful and important speech," she said redundantly.

Streep's speech was elitist, done at an inappropriate place, and was a clinic on hypocrisy. She attacked Trump and half of America, saying that without people like her and foreigners, the only people left in the country would be people who watch football and mixed martial arts.
