Young woman who falsely said teen stole her phone in NYC hotel arrested at home in California

Miya Ponsetto, 22, who  falsely accused a Black teenager of stealing her phone and then tackled him at the Arlo Hotel in New York City has been arrested Thursday in her home state of California.

[H/T CBS News]

Ventura County Sheriff's deputies arrested Ponsetto after she was seen driving near her home in Piru, northwest of Los Angeles, Capt. Eric Buschow said. He explained that the young woman  "did not stop for deputies until she reached her residence" two blocks away, then refused to get out of the car.

"She tried to slam the door on one of the deputies and that's when they just reached in and forcibly removed her," he said and added that the sheriff's office would ask county prosecutors to charge her with resisting arrest.

She was jailed in Ventura County but it isn't known exactly what she is being charged with, if not resisting arrest.

The NYPD flew detectives to Californian earlier Thursday with an arrest warrant for Ponsetto. This comes after days of intense media coverage of what occurred at the Arlo Hotel and insistence by the victim's family and others that she face criminal charges.

The father of the 14-year-old victim is jazz trumpeter Keyon Harrold who video recorded the incident and put it online. It shows an obviously agitated Ponsetto demanding the teen's phone, claiming he stole it from her. Keyon Harrold is heard telling the woman to leave his son alone.

Ponsetto's lawyer, Sharen Ghatan, told The Associated Press before the arrest that her client is "emotionally unwell" and remorseful for her Dec. 26 conflict with 14-year-old Keyon Harrold Jr. at Manhattan's Arlo Hotel. She confirmed that the woman in the video is Ponsetto.

She explained that Ponsetto "lashed out" because she was worried about her phone disappearing, and that the incident wasn't racially motivated.

It "could have been anyone," she said.

The teenage victim in this incident is Black and Ponsetto is not. Her lawyer, however, emphatically said that the incident was not in any way racially motivated.

NYPD later released security video showing Ponsetto grabbing at the teen as he tried to get away from her at the front door of the hotel. She is seen clutching him from behind as they then tumble to the ground.

As it turns out, Ponsetto's phone was left by her in an Uber and was returned by the driver shortly after the incident, Keyon Harrold said.

Oops.

Because the media and the Left [but I repeat myself] see everything in terms of identity, they compared this incident to that of Amy Cooper, a White woman charged with filing a false 911 report saying she was being threatened by "an African American man" when he verbally confronted her about allowing her dog off the leash in Manhattan's Central Park. Fortunately, the Black man [also named Cooper] recorded the incident which proved Ms. Cooper was fibbing.

Regarding the Ponsetto incident, Ghatan said of her client that"She just wants the family to know that she didn't notice, care or concern herself with the race, creed, nationality or religion of the other party. She thought that was her phone, and she thought someone else had it."

Police have said they're not investigating the case as a bias incident, CBS New York points out.

Shirtless man in horned helmet at Capitol identified: not Hunter Biden on crack

Not Hunter Biden on Crack

You may have seen him on TV during the Wednesday riots at the U.S. Capitol wearing a horny helmet and no shirt. Well, no shirt it was not Hunter Biden, so don't be saying it looked a lot like him and insinuating it was the President-elect's son of whom he is so proud.

It turns out the guy who did his thing on the dais fo the U.S. Senate has been identified as a QAnon believer and a regular at far-right rallies in Arizona.

But don't confuse far-right with conservatives, Republicans or Libertarians. They are more closely related to far left scumbags.

The guy is Jake Angeli, 32, who was seen posing in the chair occupied moments earlier by Vice President Mike Pence at the beginning of the election certification proceedings, until he and his colleagues had to leave due to the rioting, which had just gotten started.

The shirtless conspiracy guy – known as the "Q Shaman" – wore red, white and blue face paint and brandished a spear from which hung an American flag.

QAnon is a group of conspiracy theorists who believe that a huge network of powerful people are behind an enormous pedophile ring, including the viral "pizzagate" conspiracy that falsely claimed a pedophile ring ran in a pizza shop in Washington, D.C.

So breathe easy, Hunter. Now that Daddy's confirmed, you have nothing to sweat except perhaps child support, or when you're looking for that guy who gets you the thing.

Narcissistic WV lawmaker records himself rioting at Capitol

You have to be an idiot or so narcissistic that you don't realize that what you're doing is being an idiot. A West Virginia Republican Delegate Derrick Evans videoed himself and fellow rioters as they were storming the U.S. Capitol Wednesday. He later deleted it from his social media account but not before being outed by the public and calls for his resignation came in.

The video shows him wearing a helmet

A West Virginia state lawmaker recorded video of himself and fellow supporters of President Donald Trump storming the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday, triggering calls for his resignation. In the video by Republican Delegate Derrick Evans, later deleted from his social media page, he is shown wearing a helmet and shouting at the door to breach the building after Congress met for an expected vote to affirm Joe Biden's election win.

"We're in! Keep it moving, baby!" he said to no baby in particular in the packed doorway. Along for the riot were apparent Trump supporters hold flags and complaining about how uncomfortable pepper spray makes them feel.

Once inside, Evans could be seen on video wandering around the Capitol Rotunda, where historical paintings depict the republic's founding, and knowing his video would be going out to the world yelled "no vandalizing."

Lawmakers from other states also traveled to Washington, D.C. to protest the results of the Electoral College on Wednesday., but it's unclear if any other elected official forced their way into the U.S. Capitol because they weren't stupid enough to video themself and tweet or Instagram the sucker out.

Pennsylvania state Senator Doug Mastriano helped organize a bus ride to protest in Washington, D.C., and said he left the Capitol area after the eruption of violence, which he called "unacceptable." A Democratic colleague called for his resignation nonetheless because Mastriano is a Republican and his colleague is an ass.

In West Virginia, Democratic party leaders said Evans should resign and "be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law." About 10,000 people have signed an online petition calling for him to be removed from office, a month after being sworn into a first term.

He should resign based on his stupidity alone.

On Wednesday night he said in a statement on social media that he was returning to West Virginia and "was simply there as an independent member of the media to film history." Video shows him chanting President Trump's name before entering the Capitol building.

The more intelligent politicians such as Republican Senator Shelley Moore Capito strongly criticized the protest. "This is the United States of America," she said in a statement. "We don't do this. It's not who we are."

Sadly, it seems as if that is what we are becoming.

Biden admits if Capitol was stormed by BLM, 'they'd have burned it to the ground'

Biden shows unity with the Ayatollah

Nobody was angrier than President-elect for real, this time, than Joseph Robinette Biden after the Capitol was overrun by what he called a 'riotous mob' of 'domestic terrorists.' "But they did a lousy job of rioting, no joke," Biden told Brain Flushings ace reporter Scoop Mierda del Toro.

"Trump's people riot like a bunch of Nancy boy pansies, if you ask me," he went on. "If my guys in Black Lives Matter or Antifa did the same rioting, the Capitol rotunda would be looking like a giant Frisbee laid out on the grass. I'm not joking.

"What did Trump's people do? They broke a few windows, scared a few politicians, but the damage they did was nothing compared to my troops. And no cop or other law enforcement official had the audacity to stop them.

"I mean, look at Portland. Look at Seattle. Look at New York. C'mon, man. The cops just stood by and watched the rioting, burning and looting because, not only were they told to stand down, they knew full well that if they stopped my guys, they would have been out of the force on their ear. I'm not kidding.

"And the best part is that I still got to be President-elect after all they tried to do to stop me. Trump supporters have no right to protest the way they did against federal property. It's a blow to our democracy."

Extremely Reverend Rep. Emanuel Cleaver tries to do a save over his "awoman" prayer-ending

As previously posted here, Democratic Rep. Emanuel Cleaver tried to modify the opening prayer for the 117th Congress by including the phrase "Amen and a-woman". In an attempt to sound woke, it clearly showed his ignorance of the word "Amen," which comes from the Hebrew meaning "so be it/" [H/T Daily Wire]

Cleaver spoke with Fox News' left-leaning Neil Cavuto on "Your World" that "99.999% of the people who are expressing outrage over his making a prayer into a gender issue, didn't hear the prayer.

And he knows that claim as a fact because he has unambiguous data from all the networks, Twitter, YouTube and Jesus that proves his point. Yes, fully 99.999 percent of everyone who called him out for his stupidity never even heard the prayer.

"The prayer wasn't for them," he said, trying to sound convincing. "I'm talking to God on behalf of Congress, asking for unity and so forth, asking God to give us that strength to do that. I ended the prayer by saying, 'Hey, man, we have a record number of women in Congress, including the first [female] chaplain in 240 years of United States history ...'" But he didn't actually say that--all he said was "Amen and awoman."

Not a very good save unless you're gullible and think Stacy Abrams is Governor of Georgia.

"All that's well and good, Congressman," the leftist Cavuto pointed out, but the "amen" is actually from the Hebrew word that means 'so be it.' It has nothing to do with gender. So were you just making a point here, or were you saying something bigger?" Cavuto asked, hoping the so-called Reverend would be able to wiggle out of what he said.

"I ended the prayer by saying 'Amen,' which comes from the Hebrew root word ..." Cleaver repeated after Cavuto helped him out with the actual definition. "The 'a-woman' was after the prayer ended, trying to recognize the record number of women now in Congress and a female chaplain." Except the "Amen" was also after the prayer ended followed by "awoman."

If you believe Cleaver, you might also believe snakes have hips and Elvis is alive.

Portland Dem. Mayor Wheeler admits he's a useless failure

Portland, Oregon Mayor Ted Wheeler admitted that his policies in handling the Antifa debacle over the summer were as useless as nerf guns against violence. He didn't actually say that in so many words, but pretended his woke responses to the riots, looting, property destruction and general mayhem were instead done in "good faith."

What exactly were his responses? a) don't respond--it might cause problems; b) hide in his office until this thing blows away; c) take the side of Antifa because that will be a good thing, maybe; or  d) all of the above.

Fun Fact: Wheeler chose d) all the above.

“My good-faith efforts at de-escalation have been met with ongoing violence and even scorn from radical Antifa and anarchists,” Wheeler said at a New Year’s Day press conference. “In response, it will be necessary to use additional tools and to push the limits of the tools we already have to bring the criminal destruction and violence to an end.”

Additional tools? Wheeler is a tool.

“It’s time to push back harder against those who are set on destroying our community and to take more risks in fighting lawlessness,” the Portland idiot finally realized after the town experienced violent attacks by Antifa on Portland Police Bureau officers and destruction of businesses in the downtown district on New Year’s Eve.

The anarchists who pretend to be against anarchy, attacked police with commercial-grade fireworks and firebombs. The scumbag rioters threw at least two Molotov cocktail-style firebombs and launched multiple commercial-grade fireworks at cops as they attempted to defend the downtown business district and the federal courthouse.
Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb

“We should be clear what this was last night, it was about violence and criminal destruction, period,” Portland Police Chief Chuck Lovell said during the press conference.

Good thing he explained that to us. CNN certainly won't.

Removing his head from his butt, Wheeler called upon federal, state, county, and local law enforcement partners to work with him to develop “clear plans to address anarchist violence.” He also asked the Oregon Legislature to increase the penalties for people who engage in repeated acts of criminal destruction and vandalism.

Between May and September, prosecutors dismissed more than 70 percent of charges. In one case, charges of attempted murder, attempted assault, arson, possession of a destructive device, and rioting were dismissed against a man who allegedly threw a Molotov cocktail at police officers.

Had he thrown it at Wheeler or his family, perhaps there would have been a different outcome sooner, rather than now.

Kyle Rittenhouse pleads not guilty to Kenosha shooting--"self-defense"

Kyle Rittenhouse pleads not guilty to shooting charges that took place in Kenosha, Wisconsin during summer antifa riots.

The teen entered not guilty pleas to all charges and argued that he was acting in self-defense.

He was accused by prosecutors of traveling from home in Antioch, IL, across state lines to Kenosha after hearing about a call for people to protect businesses on August 25.

Protests and riots went on for several nights ostensibly for the purpose of condemning police shooting of Jacob Blake, a Black man who was left paralyzed after a White cop shot him during a domestic disturbance call. In that case, charges have been dropped as video evidence showed Blake coming at the officer with a knife.

Rittenhouse, who was 17 at the time, turned 18 last week, was being chased and shot three antifa thugs during the riots. Two of them died, Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber, and the shootings left Gaige Grosskreutz seriously wounded.

Video circulating online shows scenes from the encounter which appear to exonerate Rittenhouse.

In addition to the shooting-related charges, prosecutors had accused the teen of violating curfew to attend the protest in new charges filed this week, but the rioters and protesters were not charged with curfew violations, nor social distancing violations.

Rittenhouse’s trial is set to begin on March 29.

Antifa "scumbags" allegedly attack Josh Hawley's D.C. home, threaten the family

U.S. Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) said late Monday that "Antifa scumbags" threatened his wife and newborn baby girl while he was in Missouri.

[H/T Fox News]

“Tonight while I was in Missouri, Antifa scumbags came to our place in DC and threatened my wife and newborn daughter, who can’t travel,” Hawley wrote on Twitter. “They screamed threats, vandalized, and tried to pound open our door. Let me be clear: My family & I will not be intimidated by left-wing violence.”

This is why we have a Second Amendment.

The attack on his home was likely due to the fact that he was the first Senator to announce his plan to object when Congress meets on Wednesday for final certification of President-elect Kamala Harris'--I mean Joe Biden's--apparent win of the election. A video shows scumbags outside Hawley's home criticizing him of trying to annul Biden's win.

Mike DeBonis, a reporter from the Washington Post, tweeted that the group involved was ShutDownDC. The group defines itself as "an organizing space where individuals and groups can come together to organize direct action in the fight for justice."

They, like all leftists, define justice as the outcome that they want.

The group called the visit to Hawley’s home an "hour long vigil" to demand that "he drop his baseless contestation of the 2020 presidential election results." Only Democrats are allowed to contest elections, the group obviously believes.

A statement from the leftists claimed, "Activists lit candles and delivered a copy of the U.S. Constitution" to the senator’s home, pretending they understood what it says, or even having read it.

The group’s website posted a photo of a scumbag holding a bullhorn standing outside homes in a residential neighborhood, bothering innocent people in their homes.

The group responded to Hawley’s tweet saying that it is "absolutely and unapologetically anti-fascists." Except that it's actually fascist to try intimidating someone into doing what you want them to do.

Hawley suggested that it was ridiculous that the term "vigil" was being used to describe the gathering.

"Now "vigil" means screaming threats through bullhorns, vandalizing property, pounding on the doors of homes and terrorizing innocent people and children," he posted.

You have to hand it to the left--they know how to use words to make the message palatable. Killing babies in the mother's womb becomes "pro choice," for example.

In August, hundreds of leftists, possibly funded by George Soros, gathered around the White House for a "noise demonstration and dance party" in an attempt to drown out President Trump's speech accepting the Republican presidential nomination.

The groups ShutdownDC and Long-Live Go-Go had put out word in advance about the planned "noise demonstration and dance party" to coincide with Trump’s speech.

We live in a wonderful country where even leftists do not need to fear government reprisals for demonstrating peacefully. They are entitled to their First Amendment rights, but they don't want us to be entitled to ours.
