Only 25% of Hamas' tunnels destroyed

It’s been a wild eighteen months since the Swords of Iron War kicked off, and security sources dropped a bombshell on Wednesday that’s got me shaking my head harder than a bobblehead in an earthquake.

According to Channel 12, the IDF has only managed to take out about a quarter of Hamas’ tunnels in Gaza. One quarter!

That’s anemic.

The report claims the defense establishment is convinced there’s a whole mess of smuggling tunnels snaking across the Egyptian border. This comes as Israel digs its heels in, refusing to budge from the Philadelphi Corridor, even though the so-called experts keep saying that holding it won’t stop the under-the-table—or rather, under-the-sand—smuggling game.

Arms are flowing to Hamas like cheap beer and box wine at a frat party, and everyone’s got an opinion.

Defense Minister Israel Katz isn’t buying the naysayers’ line, though.

Earlier this year, at some fancy conference for regional council bigwigs, he doubled down. “I saw with my own eyes quite a few infiltrating tunnels in Philadelphi,” Katz said. “Some of them are closed, and some are open! We had intelligence that Hamas, during the ceasefire, planned to attack soldiers and towns.”

Sounds like he’s ready to turn that corridor into a buffer zone tougher than a two-dollar steak, just like they’ve done in Lebanon and Syria.

Meanwhile, the IDF’s still pounding the pavement—or what’s left of it—in Gaza, with plans to ramp up the ground game unless some miracle pops up in the negotiations. Good luck with that--there's a better chance of being struck by a meteor in Times Square at noon on a Tuesday.

Here’s where it gets weird, though. Channel 12 says that since the fighting flared up again, Hamas operatives have turned into the Road Runner, hightailing it out of IDF zones and dodging soldiers like they’re allergic to a fair fight. The defense establishment says the combat’s gone all decentralized, with barely any face-to-face showdowns. Maybe that’s why there’s still a giant web of tunnels down there the IDF hasn’t even sniffed out, let alone blown to kingdom come.

It’s like Hamas is playing whack-a-mole, and we’re still looking for the mallet.

Thoughts?

IDF video of hostage tunnel shocked and divided Israel

It's almost a year now as Israel has been devastated and emotionally exhausted over the Israel-Hamas war. But on Tuesday, it was even worse after IDF Spokesman R-Adm. Daniel Hagari showed chilling images of the Gaza tunnel where Hamas executed six hostages last month.

The three-minute video clip showed Hagari descending from a children’s room with brightly colored walls and paintings of Snow White and Mickey Mouse in the Tel Al-Sultan neighborhood of Rafah, 20 meters into the hell where Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Carmel Gat, Eden Yerushalmi, Alex Lobanov, Almog Sarusi, and Ori Danino were held and murdered--shot multiple times in the head.

It is believed that the men hostages attempted a last-ditch effort to protect the female hostages, but they were killed along with the women.

“Here is the place in the tunnel where the hostages were murdered,” Hagari said in his unemotional monotone. “Here you see their blood on the floor. Here were the last moments of Hersh, Eden, Carmel, Ori, Almog, and Alex. Here they were brutally murdered. We will learn what happened here. We need to learn very well what happened here.

“It is very hard to survive here,” Hagari continued. “They were heroes, heroes who were killed in cold blood by murderous terrorists who build tunnels under the rooms of children and hide in them with hostages.”

Islamic jihad is a sick, evil, bloodthirsty act that is supposed to be holy.

Hagari revealed the terrible conditions in which the hostages were kept – a low ceiling that didn't allow them to stand upright, a cesspool, bottles of urine, and no ventilation. He mentioned how extremely humid it was. He found a broken hairbrush, a chess set, a flashlight, magazines for an AK-47, and a bullet casing. Among all these items, there was also a copy of the Qur'an, the Islamic 'scripture' that calls for hating Jews and unleashing jihad against "the unbelievers."

The compassionate people of Israel watched the video and felt the suffocating heat of the tunnel, smelled the disgusting stench, sensed the fear the hostages must have endured, and heard the cries. As they viewed the disturbing images on the 8 p.m. news, the anger from October 7 returned, and their rage boiled over once more, while many useful idiots of the West marched and demonstrated for Hamas.

However, the anger among Israelis was widespread as the horrifying images were broadcasted. Many Israelis directed their frustration towards Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his administration, arguing that the hostages would not have been murdered if Israel had not stubbornly insisted on remaining in the Philadelphi Corridor, which is only a short distance from the tunnel.

They were angry that Netanyahu and the government didn't jump at what they thought was the deal at hand and concluded that in order to keep the same fate from happening the remaining hostages, the deal needed to be made immediately.

Those presenting this argument assume—despite a lack of clarity—that a deal is possible. They believe that Hamas, despite recently increasing its demands by adding more names to the list of terrorist murderers they want released, is open to negotiating an agreement.

They obviously don't know Hamas.

Others, however, correctly directed their anger at Hamas, in this writer's opinion. They highlighted the Hamassholes' brutality, so evident in the clip, and saw the video as justification for not striking a deal with Hamas, but, rather, using harsher measures against the terrorist organization, including ending the supply of humanitarian aid.

If this is how Hamas behaves, Yediot Aharonot journalist Amichai Attali wrote, articulating this same mindset, then Israel should halt all but essential humanitarian aid – water and flour – to Gaza.

A nation so deeply divided over how to free the hostages – by an agreement that would include giving in to some of Hamas’s demands or by continued military pressure – viewed the same grisly video and came to opposite conclusions, which is exactly what Hamas hoped would happen.

It's fully understandable how families of the remaining hostages want an immediate deal with the terrorists, but it should not come as a surprise that the remaining hostages still alive would be murdered before handing them over, if that hasn't already happened, because this is how Jew hatred works.

The only solution to this situation is to eliminate Hamas and those who would try to eliminate Israel.

IDF wants to build deep underground barrier to cut off Hamas’ lifeline for weapons/supplies

The Israeli military has proposed building a deep underground barrier, kind of like a buried wall, on the Egyptian side of the Gaza border to prevent weapons from being smuggled into the Gaza Strip. The IDF has intel that suggests the Hamassholes are sneaking in weapons via the underground tunnels they built beneath Rafah, using money the U.S. gave to the Palestinian Authority because the administration is either stupid, suicidal or both.

So the IDF wants to use advanced technology to do this underground at the Israel-Gaza border.

During a visit by U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s visit last week, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant [is that a cool name for a defense minister or what] discussed the proposal to build the war with the cooperation of Egypt and some American funding.

The wall would span a distance of about 8 miles along the Gaza-Egypt border, much shorter than the 40 mile wall between Israel and the Gaza Strip. That underground defense held well on October 7, but the border fence above came apart like a Joe Biden statement regarding his lack of knowledge of his son Hunter’s alleged shady dealings with foreign governments. That wall was built in 2014 after the fighting and cut through Hamas tunnels and disabled them.

Israel proposes that such detections of tunnel digging or any other threat, would be relayed both to the Israeli and Egyptian sides, to allow the IDF to operate to thwart Hamas terrorism efforts in the area.

The Egyptians oppose Israeli ground operations near Rafah, not only because they are anti-Semitic, but also fearing that mass numbers of Palestinians would breach their border to escape the fighting and Egypt doesn’t take to Palestinians very well.

Egypt also insists that no weapons smuggling had taken place through the Rafah border crossing, but in order to believe that, you’d have to have the brain of a member of the Squad because there’s evidence to the contrary.

The proposed wall would be built on the Egyptian side of the border and not on the Gazan side, where the Hamassholes would be able to obstruct the work. It would also not require a significant IDF operation in Rafah beyond Israeli air strike blowout deals.

Hamasshole terrorist bites the dust in Gaza tunnel collapse

Hamas builds tunnels that go from Gaza into Israel so that they can sneak into the Jewish State and kill Jews of all ages and genders. It really doesn't matter to them as long as their victims are Jews. And still, when all is said and done, there are those who blame the victims instead of the terrorists. The leftists of the so-called squad comes to mind: Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI); Ilhan Omar (D-MN); Ayanna Pressley (D-MA); Alexandria Obviously-Commie (D-NY); Cori Bush (D-MO); Jamaal Bowman (D-NY).

Every last one of these people have called for the BDS movement to help destroy Israel, and have made statements implying that Israel were the occupiers and the Palestinians have the right to the land "from the river to the sea." They are all anti-Semites and there's no doubt about it, regardless of their empty denials.

So a Hamasshole terrorist was probably preparing to do mischief in Israel Wednesday when the ceiling collapsed on him and killed him before he could kill Jews.

The terrorist's name is Muhammad Ashraf Abed; he was 24 and from the city of Rafah in southern Gaza.

The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the terror group’s military wing, said Abed was “martyred after the collapse of a resistance tunnel.” Actually, he didn't do much to be a martyr, but if that's all it takes, let the ceilings begin. These terrorists go after women and children, little children if they're in the kill zone, and it is very difficult to feel sorry for these terrorists.

There have been several engineering screwups in recent months while working inside the tunnels. The problem might stem from two factors: 1) the tunnels are primarily built in sand and heavy rains can do the same to them as they do to a child's sandcastle; and 2) the builders of these terror tunnels are idiots.

The IDF carried out numerous airstrikes targeting the tunnel system described by the Israeli military as a system of Hamas bunkers, tunnels, underground command centers and weapons caches under the Gaza Strip. Many have been destroyed, says the IDF, during last year's campaign in May.

Hamas gives Israel's claim 4 al Pinocchios, but they have been known to fib and kid around, so I rather believe Israel. But by rejecting Israel's claim, they admit, in effect, that they have terror tunnels and thus are evil scum-weasels.

In November, Maj. Avichai Adraee, the IDF’s Arabic spokesman, warned residents of Gaza of the poorly constructed tunnels imploring them to stay away from them due to landslides in the area, which he said were the likely result of the destruction of the underground system.

“According to estimates, the cause of these collapses is linked to the underground system of Hamas,” he wrote in Arabic.

“These events are the latest example, but not the only one, of Hamas’s absurd use of civilian areas. It is unpredictable when the earth will shake again under the feet of the Gazans because of this blatant exploitation that the local population pays for time and again,” he stated.

Underground walls seem to work. In December, the Israeli Defense Ministry announced that a 65 kilometer [a tad over 40 miles] underground barrier [aka wall] to deal with the cross-border tunnels had been completed. This should help assuage the terrorism problem to some degree.

The latest tunnel collapse came as the Hamassholes tried to stoke rising tensions in Jerusalem.m, a spokesperson for the terror group said, using different pronouns.

IDF fakes left, goes right, destroys miles of Hamas tunnels

In an earlier post, I wrote that the Israeli Defense Forces were forming up to initiate a ground assault in Gaza because that's exactly what Israel wanted Hamas to believe, so they put it out on their IDF Twitter feed and Hamas took the bait.

This post is a correction, but a thankful one.

The assault started with a "head fake" whereby the IDF told the foreign press that Israeli ground forces had entered the Gaza Strip. It was a ploy to trick Hamas into sending their terrorists into the tunnels, or "the metro," as the IDF refers to them. And of course, they did go into them hoping to enter Israel and kill as many Jews, whether it be man, woman or child, that they could.

So Israel faked left and cut right.

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) in a massive bombardment of Hamas’s Gaza tunnel network overnight from Thursday to Friday destroyed miles of terror tunnels and killed what they believe to be dozens of Hamassholes. Israel hopes this will be a decisive phase of the conflict.

“We shut down the Hamas tunnel network,” a military source said in an epic understatement.

Tunnels destroyed

The tunnels were used by Hamas to fire rockets and also to store weaponry, including rocket launchers, the TV report said. In an Israeli ground offensive, Hamas terrorists emerging from the tunnels would have tried to kill and capture IDF soldiers, as was the case in previous conflicts. Not this time.

The bombing was the largest Israeli strike since the outbreak of fighting earlier in the week, according to the IDF.

About 160 IAF jets simultaneously conducted the huge attack on "the metro." According to the IDF, the attacks lasted roughly 40 minutes in which 450 bombs were dropped on 150 targets in north Gaza, focusing around the city of Beit Lahiya. Overall, 160,000 pounds of explosives were used.

Israel isn't yet clear as to the extent of damage to the tunnels, which is a "strategic asset" according to IDF spokesman Hidai Zilberman. The number of scumcrumpets killed in the tunnels is also unknown.

“Hamas itself may not yet know” regarding how many of its s**theads were killed, the TV report said, adding that many Hamasshole commanders were believed to have been among the gunmen in the tunnels.

The commander of the IAF’s Nevatim airbase, Omer Tishler, told Channel 12 that “actions such as this, so damaging to the enemy,” would likely “make the enemy want to stop… but in any case we will continue [to target Hamas] as long as is necessary.”

In a statement earlier Friday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu noted: “I said we would strike Hamas and other terror groups with significant blows, and we are doing so. In the last day we have attacked underground targets. Hamas thought it could hide there, but it cannot.”

In addition to the aerial assault, Israeli tanks, artillery cannons and infantrymen on the Gaza border conducted accompanying barrages at Hamas operatives — specifically anti-tank guided missiles and rocket-launching teams — who came out during the assault to conduct attacks on Israeli targets, Zilberman said.

He added that ground troops never crossed the border but they sure did a great head fake.

Border Patrol shuts down tunnel construction at border with Mexico

Border Patrol agents were able to find and foil the construction of a cross-border tunnel [built in the spirit of Hezbollah without as much of the potential violence] on Monday during a tunnel sweep with the cooperation of Mexican law enforcement.

The tunnel was about 50 feet long, 2 feet wide and 2 feet tall.

Although the tunnel was incomplete, it was apparently designed for smuggling, the Tucson Sector Border Patrol said in a statement. Most of it, about 44 feet, was on the U.S. side of the border, so Chuck Schumer concluded the Trump administration was planning to use it for smuggling Russian prostitutes into the country. [Just kidding.]

"Tucson Sector Border Patrol continues to work closely with strategic partners in Mexico to detect tunnels under construction to prevent the movement of illegal contraband or persons across the border," U.S. Customs and Border Protection (USCBP) said.

The two cities of Nogales, in Arizona and Mexico, have an international waterway for controlling flooding, and the tunnel's entrance was submerged under it. The tunnel ended underneath a parking lot, its exit not yet constructed and structural shoring and digging tools lying inside.

Officials plan to fill the tunnel with concrete, unlike the IDF who enjoys blowing the structures up.

U.S. Border Patrol Agent Daniel Hernandez said this is the first tunnel discovered in Nogales in two years, but the city has been the site of the largest number of cross-border tunnels built in recent decades, according to the Arizona Republic which reports:
Hernandez could not immediately provide the most recent statistics, but the Border Patrol has said in the past that since 1990, more than 173 tunnels had been found along the border, with about 103 of them discovered in the Nogales area.
The tunnel will be under surveillance while authorities prepare to fill it in rather than blow the damn thing up.
How the IDF destroys a Hezbollah tunnel
"Agents will continue to monitor and inspect the incomplete tunnel until it is properly secured and remediated with concrete filler," USCBP said.

Operation Northern Shield: a win for Israel

Photo: Getty Images
Operation Northern Shield is clearly a victory for Israel in which the IDF thwarted a Hezbollah plan to attack Israelis using tunnels to sneak into the country.

In the wee hours of Tuesday, December 4th, the IDF found a  tunnel built by Hezbollah. It has since found two others and estimates that about 10 such tunnels worming their way into the Jewish State.

And while some pundits may not consider Operation Northern Shield to be an actual "operation" due to the lack of columns of IDF troops marching down the road, it clearly is an operation and it's doing what it was intended to accomplish.

One cannot overestimate what the consequences would have been had these tunnels not been discovered and destroyed. They were to be used by Hezbollah and were large enough to mount a small invasion of elite scumcrumpets into Israel and cut off Metullah and other towns with artillery barrages in the upper Galilee. They were large enough to drive through in a vehicle.

Had Hezbollah been successful, many civilians would have died and the morale of the Jewish State would have been at rock bottom. Imagine the Hezbollah propaganda videos.

But it didn't happen and all the work Hezbollah put into the tunnels was thankfully wasted before becoming operational. And now it's Hezbollah who suffers global embarrassment. [They aren't saying anything, so they must be red faced under their masks.]

Israel is driving a wedge between Hezbollah and the Lebanese population by producing videos for Lebanese consumption. The videos point out Hezbollah's lies and warning that Hezbollah is dragging Lebanon into conflict.

Israel also sent anonymous instant messages to cell phones of the residents of the village of Kilah, where the first tunnel originated: "Hezbollah has dug tunnels near your homes, and that puts you in danger, it's up to you to take caution."

When will it ever end?

Hamassholes agree to ceasefire after 110 rockets and mortars are fired into Israel

Two days and 110 rockets and mortars later, the Hamassholes in Gaza have agreed to a ceasefire, The New York Times reported Wednesday.

Hamas is a terrorist group holding complete military and political control over Gaza. They saw that they were getting their butts kicked and announced that it had returned to the Egyptian-brokered deal reached to end Operation Protective Edge, Israel's 2014 war with the sneaky baby killers.

Hamas announced that other terror groups in Gaza would also agree to a ceasefire if Israel would stop fighting back--they hate when that happens.

Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, both Iranian-back religious terrorist groups, took credit for the attacks against Israeli population centers, hoping to win favor with Allah, who according to the Koran hates Jews, Christians, atheists, Hindus, Jains, etc., etc.

So it's cool with these terror groups to kill anyone who doesn't believe in their god who they know exists because it says so in the Koran.

Israel didn't have to say it agreed to a ceasefire because they only attack after being attacked. Anti-Semites say they should only attack back with "proportional" force, but that's what makes those morons anti-Semites, or else they have never witnessed an actual fight.

The Times of Israel wrote that in response to over 70 rockets and mortars fired into Israel on Tuesday, and 40 more overnight, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said its aircraft struck a Hamas drone facility, a rocket manufacturing plant, a weapons depot, and other military targets inside Gaza.

Unlike Hamas and their ilk, Israel doesn't target civilians and does all it possible can to avoid collateral damage.

And whenever Hamas gets its butt handed to them, they wave a white flag, regroup and try another sneak attack.

On another happy note, Israel said it destroyed a "unique" tunnel that extended from Gaza through Egypt, and a half-mile into Israel. Hamas uses tunnels to sneak into Israel and kill Jews while they're sleeping, on school buses, or generally unarmed.

"At the end of day, we have taken some very effective strikes against the positions and elements of the terrorist infrastructure of Hamas and Islamic Jihad," Yossi Kuperwasser, a former director general of Israel's Ministry of Strategic Affairs, said at a press briefing.

The damage that the IDF leveled on the terror infrastructure of Hamas and Islamic Jihad "led the terror organizations to conclude that it is against their interest to continue at this point in time," Kuperwasser said, adding that they "paid a heavy price."

But not heavy enough because like a mosquito in a tent, they'll be back.

Unless Islam reforms.

Israeli tank, Model LMAO, captured by Hamas

Hamas has proudly captured an Israeli tank, displaying it last week at a memorial service for seven Hamas scumcrumpets who were killed by a failed attempt at tunnel engineering. The idiots were trying to dig illegal tunnels in Gaza when it collapsed on them.

No Jewish people were hurt in the accident.

The tank, Model LMAO, is made of wood and has rubber wheels, making it desert incompatible, but who cares? The darn thing looks scary and goes zip.

"I attended the funeral for the fallen Hamas heroes," Mohammad bin Ali Abu bin Omar bin Kazan, a Palestinian said, "and was prepared to be all sad and stuff until the tank rolled by. There were guys on it in Hamas military gear and all, and my heart just went, like all 'Allahu akbar.'"

The olive drab tank, designed to match the olive drab sand of some desert somewhere, but not in any Middle East desert, sported Walmart brand Douglas All-Season tires (at only $59 each),  3 inch thick wooden armor plating, and a hollowed out Demarini baseball bat turret.

Not many people believed that Hamas captured an Israeli tank and Israel doesn't believe it either, as none were reported missing. But if it gets memorial service attendees to chuckle off to Buffalo, what's the harm, eh?

Rumor has it that Hamas is in the process of developing night-vision goggles that look remarkably like 3-D movie glasses.
