Former Ass't US attorney: "O should pardon HRC"

Ever since Hillary Clinton got bagged for having an illegal private server when she was acting as the secretary of state, a clear violation of the Espionage Act, her loyal supporters are concerned that, with Donald Trump as our next president, she might go to jail.

A New York lawyer appealed to Lame Duck President Obama Wednesday in a New York Daily News opinion piece to pardon the pear-shaped former so-called secretary of state and other "potential targets" of an investigation into her illegal email server.

Bobby Begleiter, a former assistant US attorney in the Eastern District of New York wrote that the Constitution allows a president to pardon someone who has not been charged with a crime, including espionage which endangers the nation.

In spite of the fact that Trump said he will not investigate the incompetent, arrogant shrew he referred to as "Crooked Hillary," even though his supporters are still chanting "Lock her up, lock her up," Begleiter worries that Hillary can end up in the slammer.

"I don't want to hurt the Clintons, I really don't," Mr. Trump told 'reporters' at The New York Times, shortly after the election. "She went through a lot and suffered greatly in many different ways, and I'm not looking to hurt them at all." The campaign was vicious."

Bobby wasn't comfortable with Trump's statement. He didn't want to gamble with his woman's freedom, just in case she said something Trump didn't like and changed his mind. Bobby even called it "sideways" to believe that a person who accepted a pardon is admitting guilt.

But if she is innocent, then why does she need to be pardoned? Pardoned from what? For what?

In an attempt to sound learned, Bobby wrote that a pardon for Crooked Hillary could, in the words of Alexander Hamilton, "restore tranquility to the commonwealth."

In a word, Bobby Begleiter is a Clinton apologist and the only tranquility he's interested in restoring is Clinton's fear of being rightfully jailed for treason.

John Crudele, of the New York Post, a fairly far left-leaning paper, wrote that Obama is fast to forgive traitors, felons, deserters and basic scum of the earth--he just didn't say it in those words--and commuted the sentences of over a thousand incarcerated scum. But, he said, Obama doesn't like Hillary very much and the email scandal put him in an "embarrassing" position, which is even more important to him than anything else in the world.

"But the best reason for not giving a pardon is simple: Obama doesn't really know what kind of trouble Hillary might be in. And she would have to admit to things she might not be ready to reveal to get completely out of trouble," Crudele wrote.

I hope Trump doesn't let her off the hook--part of the reason he got elected was due to his tough stance on Clinton and to allow her to skate free of the charges, is a real injustice.

Pardon, Mr. Obama?

President Obama set yet another record.

The first record was being the first black president.

The second record was getting a Nobel Peace Prize as an American president with less time in office than it takes to grow a marijuana plant and later having droned an American citizen.

The third record was being the first president whose dumb bell weight workout was less than the then House Majority Leader (Nancy Pelosi).

Now he can boast that his newest record was to pardon 78 criminals and grant another 153 commutations of their sentences, amounting to the most acts of clemency granted with total disregard for public safety than any U.S. president ever in a single day.

White House shyster lawyer Neil Eggleston announced the decisions in an official blog post, describing all the individuals as being "deserving" of their pardons.

He wrote: "The 231 individuals granted clemency today have all demonstrated that they are ready to make use--or have already made use--of a second chance." He just wouldn't want to live anywhere near them or  have his kids go to their kids' schools.

In addition, Eggleston previewed additional clemency decisions in the weeks ahead. "I expect that the President will issue more grants of both commutations and pardons before he leaves office."

President Obama wants to leave office not only emptying out Gitmo of its terrorists, but to empty out our prisons here at home because he has a soft spot for drug offenders as he was one himself. Fortunately for him, he did not get caught and was therefore able to become president.

Of the total 1,176 inmates who sentences he has shortened, 395 of them were serving life for serious crimes. However, like Eggleston, none of those folks getting out of the slammer are going to be living anywhere near him nor going to his kids' schools.

That should be a requirement.

Another requirement should be the redefinition of the term "non-violent." All drug offenses are inherently violent, either directly or indirectly.

AG prospect Rudy Giuliani may go for Clinton prosecution

President elect Donald Trump may have praised his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton after he won the election, but that was his mouth talking--his ego has yet to phone in.

Rudy Giuliani, a top prospect to be Trump's Attorney General left the door wide open that, if he gets the nod, his Justice Department would go after Hillary Clinton regarding her private and illegal email server and the "pay for play" with the Clinton Foundation and her time as Secretary of State.

Giuliani was a former New York City mayor during the 9/11 attack on the city, and a federal prosecutor before that. He put away some serious 'bad guys' in the mob. He said Wednesday on "The O'Reilly Factor" that Hillary was a legitimate target to be investigated and that it had nothing to do with political "payback."

"There's one tradition in America, right? Election is over. We forget about it. There is another tradition in America which is 'equal justice under the law,'" he said. "And it would depend on how bad the violations are."

I don't know if Rudy checked into it lately, but violation of the Espionage Act is a bad violation of the law.

FBI Director [for now] James Comey said that recent findings in the investigation into Clinton's private, illegal, homebrew server, did not cause him to change his recommendation to the Justic Department to not pursue charges against Clinton.

But there are reports indicating some FBI agents are also looking into the Clinton Foundation regarding the "pay to play" scheme, and while it seems quite obvious she gave special favorable treatment to donors to the foundation, there remains no proof that she stood on the torch of the Statue of Liberty and screamed it out. That's what it appears the FBI is looking for to make their case, as it was with the server.

When Trump was the presidential nominee in October and first raised the idea of going after Clinton, nobody on the left worried that much because they knew she had the election in the bag.

"If I win, I am going to instruct my attorney general to get a special prosecutor to look into your situation because there has never been so many lies, so much deception," Trump told Clinton.

When he made his victory speech early Wednesday morning, Trump praised the former Worst Lady for running a tough campaign--he never mentioned her myriad scandals. "Hillary has worked very long and very hard over a long period of time, and we owe her a major debt of gratitude for her service to our country. I mean that very sincerely."

Note: he did not say "very very sincerely" so he may not have actually meant it.

But the plot sickens because it's possible that President Obama could preemptively pardon Clinton for any federal crimes (but he cannot pardon state and civil offenses that we haven't yet learned about).

If Obama pardons Hillary, it implies that she is guilty of the crimes.

"So, the president can offer the pardon but the pardon carries an implication of guilt; if she accepts the pardon, her acceptance carries a confession of guilty," Chapman University Law Professor Ronald Rotunda said in an email to FoxNews.com.

He noted, however, that a pardon of Clinton alone would leave any co-conspirators--potentially including Bill Clinton and top aides and foundation officials--open to prosecution. And if she hypothetically confessed her guilt in the U.S., the Clinton Foundation trustees around the world would also be at risk, explains a charity fraud expert, Charles Ortel.

Another battle could be over the legality of a non-specific presidential pardon and this might be challenged by Trump or Giuliani.

"I think President Obama should leave it to the system we all believe in to determine 'is she innocent or is she guilty?'"
