More ads pulled from "The O'Reilly Factor"

Bill O'Reilly is under assault by five women who claim he sexually harassed them. He paid them off in $13 million settlements. To some, that makes him guilty even without a trial--to those who think that way, I suspect you'd change your tune if you were in the same boat.

Now companies are pulling their commercials from his show, "The O'Reilly Factor" after the settlements were discovered.

According to a report by CNBC, a news outlet with as much credibility as Susan Rice, said that more than 30 companies have called to pull their ads. These companies are: Subaru, Jenny Craig, Mercedes-Benz, Bayer, BMW of North America, Hyundai, Mitsubishi Motors, Lexus, Orkin, Constant Contact, Allstate, Ainsworth Pet Nutrition, Sanofi, GlaxoSmithKline, Untuckit and Credit Karma, to name a bunch.

Thankfully, we'll still get to see "Hi, I'm William Devane."

Although O'Reilly didn't address the report on Monday night, he said in a statement over the weekend that the settlements were made "to put to rest any controversies to spare my children."

O'Reilly has two teenagers.

"Just like other prominent and controversial people, I'm vulnerable to lawsuits from individuals who want me to pay them to avoid negative publicity," he wrote. "In my more than 20 years at Fox News Channel, no one has ever filed a complaint about me with the Human Rights Resources Department, even on the anonymous hotline."

President Trump, who probably should spend less time dealing with these matters, said in a New York Times interview that O'Reilly is "a good person" who "shouldn't have settled" in the lawsuits made against him.

Fox News Channel said in a statement that ads were going to be shifted to other programming.

Remember, even Bill O'Reilly has said that a man is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Do not judge as you would not be judged.

Leave that to other twits on Twitter.

Cuomo and Trump: hard on each other

Cuomo playing pocket pool
Chris Cuomo was hard on Trump and Trump was hard on Cuomo after things got off on the wrong foot Monday morning on what the Donald calls the Clinton Network, CNN. He mentioned this on the "New Day" morning show hosted by the simple son of former governor and now deceased Mario Cuomo.

The interview by Cuomo began with the uber liberal Cuomo asking Trump about his attacks on the beloved Hillary-Screw-You-Clinton, as her former Secret Service staff covertly referred to her.

"We need to talk policy," the special needs Cuomo said. "We need to talk the state of play within your own party, but you have commanded a different headline that needs to be addressed."

Cuomo has yet to address Hillary's illegal email server, the fake video that she claimed sparked the Benghazi terrorist attacks, and how she attacked the victims of her disgusting husband's sexual behavior.

So Cuomo blathered on: "You are attacking Hillary Clinton for the sexual past and indiscretions of her husband, caller her an 'enabler. We have a panel of independent voters, they are smart as heck and most of them don't like it. They see it as potential proof you may have no real ideas to offer as president. What is your thinking on this line of attack?"

Trump, never to be the one to back away from a fight responded sarcastically, "Well, this is a nice way to start off the interview.

"First of all, you should congratulate me for having won the race," he said, and was absolutely correct for saying it. Cuomo has the class of a puss pimple. Donald went on, "I thought you know, at least there would be a small congratulations, but I'm not surprised with CNN, because that's the way they treat Trump. It's the, you know, they call it the Clinton Network and I believe that. So, you know let's start off right there."

Cuomo, much like Sean Hannity, interrupted his interviewee while they tried to make a point. "Wait. Hold on Mr. Trump, I did congratulate you the last time we spoke. I said congratulation on winning the big race."

Not to be intimidated, Trump spoke over the whiny Cuomo, "Thank you very much. So warm and so well-felt."

Then Cuomo replied, "No, no, no. Hold on. Hold on. Let's get this off on the right foot. I'm trying to address what you're putting out--"

Trump": "You're starting off with a question, we haven't spoken, last week, towards the end, I was the, essentially the nominee of the party, and you start off with a question which is not surprising, because I understand CNN perhaps a lot better than you do."

At this point, Cuomo's BP shot up to 185/120. "Okay, okay. Let's--you know what? You're right, sometimes it's good to restart. Here's the restart. You are going to be your party's nominee because, by all accounts, you are going to carry the standard for this party. You have once said, once you get into the general, people will see what you have to offer. The first thing you've come out with hot and heavy out of the box are attacks on Hillary Clinton."

"The next thing I came out with is rebuilding our military, because our military is absolutely being decimated. We're not spending the proper money. We're not buying the proper equipment. We'er not taking care of our soldiers. We're not taking care of our vets by the way, we're not taking care of our military at a time when we just about in the history of our country need it the most. So I talk about that. I talk about the border. I talk about the fact that we have to stop the drugs from pouring into our country. Those are the things I talk about in a very long speech," Trump trumpeted.

Cuomo, who has the brain capacity of a stoned blowfish, looked confused, passed wind, and went to a commercial break on gold and silver starring William Devane.

Fox News Blues

As a staunch conservative, I read lots of conservative blogs, read the Washington Times, and watch The Five on Fox News.

I'm thinking of giving up on the latter, however, because it's becoming too tedious to sit through the show while uber liberal, Geraldo Rivera and his mustache, constantly interrupt whoever is making a point I would like to hear in total.

His blatant narcissism is on par with another great American hero, Brian Williams. I suspect Geraldo and Brian went on nation-saving missions together.

I appreciate that Greg Gutfeld tries stop Rivera from filibustering, but Fox News in general, is having liberals take over the conversation. I include Bill O'Reilly in that assessment, but certainly less so than for The Five or Hannity.

The problem with Hannity, as I see it,  is that he usually needs to inject his opinion into the response of someone who is in the process of giving his or her opinion, and he always seems to be ticking off the same talking points, night after night.

Juan Williams is more likable, sort of, but even he can get obnoxious and will often filibuster his liberal points, frequently interrupting whenever someone with a brain wants to speak.

Now that I have a PVR, I record some of the Fox News programs (as I'm doing even now as I write this at around 5 pm--get it?) and I simply fast forward through the "Hi, I'm William Devane" gold commercials, and the times when Geraldo's or Juan's lips are moving.

It both saves time and aggravation.
