Dem Gov Katie Hobbs under criminal investigation by Dem AG's office

Attorney General Kris Mayes, a Democrat, like Gov. Katie Hobbs, opened a probe in June 2024 into Hobbs’ administration after the Arizona Republic reported on Sunshine Residential Homes, a Department of Child Safety contractor providing group homes and foster care services.

Sunshine had donated roughly $400,000 to Hobbs’ inauguration fund and the Arizona Democratic Party around the same time it was seeking a substantial rate increase from DCS. Under the Hobbs administration, Sunshine eventually got that increase, receiving treatment critics have described as preferential or unusually generous compared with other providers.

Naturally, this raised a few questions. Nothing too serious, just the usual questions about pay-to-play, conflicts of interest, procurement rules and whether government contracts might occasionally find their way toward politically connected donors.

Hobbs has denied any wrongdoing or personal involvement in the contracting decision. Her office says there is no evidence she participated in it and insists the department acted in the best interests of foster children.

Which is certainly reassuring. After all, when a company gives hundreds of thousands of dollars to politicians and then receives a major increase in taxpayer-funded payments, the first thing everyone wants to hear is that nobody involved remembers having anything to do with it.

As of mid-August 2026, the investigation is still underway. Mayes’ office has requested a formal interview with Hobbs, a request first publicly reported around April 2026, but the interview has not yet occurred. Hobbs says her office is communicating with investigators and that she looks forward to the investigation concluding.

Mayes has described the probe as being “near the end” and has indicated that results are expected before the November 2026 election.

So apparently Arizona voters may get to discover what happened just in time to decide whether they would like four more years of the person allegedly not involved in anything that happened.

For the record, no charges or indictment have been filed against Hobbs.

Separate Republican-led reviews in the Arizona House, including an effort involving outside counsel, have also examined the allegations. But the criminal investigation belongs to the attorney general’s office.

And then there is the internet’s favorite part of the story: claims that the Arizona Senate somehow “indicted” Hobbs over RICO allegations or other conspiracy theories.

It did not.

The legislature does not have the authority to indict people. Apparently, even political satire has to observe certain constitutional limitations.

For now, the Sunshine Residential Homes controversy remains a major political headache for Hobbs as she campaigns for reelection. The investigation could eventually clear her, produce charges, or simply continue long enough for everyone involved to become extremely familiar with the phrase “ongoing investigation.”

The status described here reflects public reporting as of mid-August 2026 and could change.

Fani Willis warned paramour's divorce lawyer to keep his mouth shut: "They're coming for us"

The Fulton County, Georgia District Attorney Fani [the 'a is pronounced like an 'o'] may be in up to her neck in you know what. A new witness might testify that Willis warned Terrence Bradley, the friend and divorce lawyer of Nathan Wade and Willis' paramour, to keep his mouth shut at her hearing, according to a new court filing.

“They are coming after us. You don’t need to talk to them about anything about us,” Willis is alleged to have warned Bradley in a September 2023 phone call.

The call was overheard by Cobb County, Georgia, prosecutor Cindi Lee Yeager, according to court papers filed Monday by Trump co-defendant David Schafer. If Yeager is allowed to testify at this point in the hearing, Fani Willis and Nathan Wade could make hula skirts out of their butts, because that part of their anatomy will be, as they say, grass. [Only old people and ex-military will get that reference.]

Willis is currently fighting to remain in her position in overseeing the election interference case which charged Donald Trump and 18 others in a RiCO filing.

She stands accused of carrying on a relationship with Wade, prior to her appointing him special prosecutor, but hiding it from the court, presenting a conflict of interest and possible perjury for lying in court.

Willis and Wade have said under oath they were only romantic between 2022 and 2023, long after the case started. But there is very strong evidence that this is a lie as there are texts, phone records showing Wade in close proximity to Willis' condo at night then leaving in the wee hours of the morning. It's possible they were discussing law, but just not with their clothing on.

At a hearing over whether to disqualify Willis last week Bradley said on the stand that he had no “knowledge” of when the two prosecutors started dating, but even he had evidence against him showing that he knew.

But the filing says Yeager would swear under oath that the claim was at odds with what Bradley told Yeager in person — that the romance began in 2019, during Willis’s DA campaign.

The call was overheard by Cobb County, Georgia, prosecutor Cindi Lee Yeager.

Bradley also texted a lawyer for another Trump co-defendant the pair were “absolutely” dating before Willis hired Wade to manage the Trump prosecution in November 2021 — and then muttered, “Oh, dang” when the evidence was shown to him on the stand.

Yeager is willing to testify Bradley told her Wade “had definitively begun a romantic relationship with Ms. Willis during the time that Ms. Willis was running for District Attorney in 2019 through 2020,” Monday’s filing says.

So heads should roll but not Trump's nor those of his co-defendants.

After watching Bradley’s testimony, Yeager “became concerned as a result of the fact that what Mr. Bradley testified to on the witness stand was directly contrary to what Mr. Bradley had told Ms. Yeager in person,” Monday’s filing says.

Judge Scott McAfee has said he hopes to rule on whether Willis can stay on the case in the next two weeks, but we don't know if he'll re-open the can-of-worms hearing for additional evidence.

If he rules to keep Willis and/or Wade on the Trump case, the law has not been served.

Fani Willis' defense has big problems with new filing

Fulton County GA District Attorney Fani Willis finally came clean about her affair with Nathan Wade, the prosecutor she hired in the election interference case against former President Donald Trump. Although she was boffing the married Wade, she denied allegations of misconduct and claimed that there was no evidence that her relationship with Wade impacted the case.

Wade, as it turns out, has no experience in RICO cases for which Trump was indicted.

However, the attorney representing Michael Roman who is Trump's co-defendant, totally annihilated Willis' defense in a new court filing. 

“Let us be clear: if Mr. Roman had not uncovered the now-admitted personal relationship between Willis and Wade, no one may have ever known about it,” the filing states. “That raises the obvious and important question: If they had nothing to hide in the first place because they did nothing wrong, then why did they intentionally not tell anyone about it until they got caught with their hand in the cookie jar?”

Perhaps because Wade was married and filed for divorce the day after he got the job from his paramour.

But the kicker is that the filing proceeds to challenge the veracity of statements Wade made in his sworn affidavit, and that might even put his law license in jeopardy. 

“In Paragraph 31 of your affidavit, you swore that you have never cohabitated with Ms. Willis but the attached documents show you shared a king size bed with her in Aruba from November 1, 2022 until November 4, 2022,” the filing reads.

Bank records previously reported, by PJ Media clearly show that the loving couple traveled to Miami, Aruba and San Francisco together with tickets purchased in her name. Oops.

“Additionally, witnesses will testify that you cohabitated with Ms. Willis at her home in South Fulton until her father moved in with her and you then began to cohabitate at the apartment of a friend of hers in East Point,” the filing continues. “Additionally, witnesses will testify that you cohabitated with Ms. Willis at an AirBNB in Hapeville that was paid for by tax payer money to serve as a ‘safe house’ for you and Ms. Willis.”

Roman insists in the filing that Wade “has given this Court and the public no reason to take his word” about his experience and qualifications. After the affair was discovered it was revealed that Willis paid Wade more than his counterparts, despite his lack of RICO case experience.

“If his experience is so significant then he should welcome the opportunity to testify as to the specifics of the cases he has tried and enjoy the candid transparency that would bring to the process instead of hiding behind an unsubstantiated claim that he has ‘tried complex’ matters including murder, rape, armed robbery, aggravated assault and drug trafficking,” Roman stated.

In a statement issued Friday, Trump's attorney Steve Sadow contended that Willis’s admission of the affair was designed to prevent the scheduled hearing on February 15th, where the allegations were going to be addressed. 

“While the DA admits to an intimate relationship with her employee Special Asst. DA Wade, she fails to provide full transparency and necessary financial details,” Sadow said. “Indeed, she says absolutely nothing about the so-called ‘coincidence’ of Wade filing for divorce the day after the DA hired him!”

It seems that anyone in power with Trump Derangement Syndrome ends up with bigger problems.

Georgia DA going after Trump: subpoenaed in another case she may not have anticipated

Fani Willis, Georgia's Fulton County District Attorney, has now been subpoenaed in the divorce case of her paramour, Nathan Wade, the man with whom she is not only sharing a bed, but has selected him to be the special prosecutor against former President Donald J. Trump. So she is not merely sharing a bed with Wade, but is also sharing some of the financial benefits he has received as payment in the case.

Willis is the top cheese in a RICO case against Trump and several of his top associates for alleged election interference. However, it isn't looking too kosher for Willis now that her relationship with Wade has come out from under the rock that they've been hiding it. 

Had Willis not benefitted from hiring Wade in the Trump case it would not have looked so sleazy, aside from the affair. The loving couple allegedly took extravagant vacations together with the money Wade's firm was paid working on the RICO case. Records show that Wade received about $654,000 in legal fees, which either Willis or Wade had to authorize.

The Wall Street Journal reported that on Monday, Willis' office received a subpoena requesting she testify in the Wade divorce case between him and his wife, Joycelyn. Divorce was initially file in November 2021.

The subpoena was reportedly delivered by a process server a mere few hours before former Trump campaign official Michael Roman, a co-defendant in the RICO case, filed a motion alleging misconduct by Willis and Wade, in part for their “improper, clandestine personal relationship during the pendency of this case.”

Roman’s lawyer Ashleigh Merchant suggested Willis’ hiring of Wade was never approved by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners, as required. Merchant said she reviewed the minutes of every meeting the board held from the time Willis took office, but found no record of Wade’s contract being discussed, the Journal report noted.

Roman’s motion cites sources close to both the special prosecutor and the district attorney who say the pair are in an ongoing romantic relationship and calls for the disqualification of Willis, her office, and Wade from the Trump case.

Former DeKalb County District Attorney Bob Wilson told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that DAs in high-profile cases like this one must be extremely careful with their actions, though he refused to comment directly on the allegations facing Willis to avoid being canceled.

“Everything you do must be done according to the law,” he told the paper. “Everyone who works on a case like this must conduct themselves at the highest professional level. Otherwise, you can become the issue and that can derail your case.”

Appointing Wade to handle the RICO case was a stupid move when Willis has several attorneys in her office who could have easily handled the case but with whom she was not sharing a bed. And Wade, the father of two, is not even qualified to handle this case as he never actually prosecuted a felony RICO case before.

Soros' "Guy Friday" charged with rape and human trafficking

Howard Rubin, known as George Soros' right hand man, is accused of leading a "human trafficking enterprise" in which he is alleged to have raped, brutally assaulted and enslaved women in an $8 million sex dungeon, according to court documents and reported by the New York Post.

Rubin, 62, is a Harvard Business School alum and a former Wall Street trader. He has been accused by three women, including two high profile Playboy bunnies [who are actually human women and not rodents, in case any millennials read this], of raping and beating them in a Midtown penthouse which he allegedly rigged with ropes, chains, and other BDSM equipment.

Rubin has been married to philanthropist and fellow Harvard Business School graduate Mary Henry since 1985. The loving couple raised their three children in New York on the Upper East Side and also have a house in the Hamptons.

Soros’ main man is said to have lured dozens of women from all over the US by offering between $2000 and $5000 for ‘supposed companionship and photoshoots’ before assaulting them so brutally that they needed cosmetic and dental reconstructive surgery, according to the lawsuit.

Even Jeffrey Epstein apparently wasn't brutal like this alleged crap weasel.

Daily Mail reports: In one session the married father of three allegedly gagged a woman and shocked her with a cattle-prod to the groin before raping her, according to the lawsuit.

In another he beat a woman’s breasts ‘so badly that her right implant flipped,’ for which he paid her $20,000 to repair, the papers filed by civil lawyer John Balestriere said.

The suit alleges that Rubin told victims he would tie them up and rape them, telling one: ‘I’m going to rape you like I rape my daughter’.

The banker allegedly collaborated with female fixers and a lawyer but there is no evidence the fixer was Ghislaine Maxwell or if the lawyer was Alan Dershowitz, heaven forbid.

The suit accuses them of trying to ‘cover up Rubin’s sexual misconduct and criminal abuse of women and to serve as a cover for his wide-ranging human trafficking scheme.’

The suit calls Rubin’s alleged criminal network ‘The Enterprise’ and says it has ‘been in existence for many years’.

Rubin declined to comment on the allegations when phoned by the New York Post and Soros merely disappeared under a rock.

In a statement, the lawyer who filed the suit said: ‘After conducting a months-long investigation through their lawyers, Plaintiffs filed a complaint in federal court in Brooklyn alleging that Rubin and his co-conspirators (including a former prosecutor) worked together in the Enterprise which lied to women to lure them to travel across the United States to a secret penthouse Rubin controlled in Midtown Manhattan.

"In the Penthouse, Rubin would beat and rape the women.

"Plaintiffs charge that Rubin and the other individuals and entities in the enterprise – who also perpetrated acts of obstruction of justice – violated the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) and the Trafficking Victims Protection Act and are liable for a series of other claims including assault, battery, illegal imprisonment, and intentional infliction of emotional distress."

Well, another Biden voter will likely go to the slammer.
